Because it's not only exposed perks. Think of EVERY perk that does not proc on special attacks:
- Franklin's (But Survivors will claim this is 'fair' because of course they will)
- Jolt is no longer useable on her
- No more Knock Out (It says 'basic attack' right on it)
- Can't use Save The Best For Last, since it says 'Each time you hit someone other than your obsession with a basic attack'
- Can't use Sloppy Butcher
- No more Unrelenting
Sure, not all of them are USEFUL on Nurse, but I bet dollars to donuts the devs did not even think of this list before this change. Just like they did not think of the fact that the Nurse uses her power to move around when they gutted it awhile back.
she gets to bypass mechanics of the game. This should come at a cost.
-
Spirit mains found a way, nurse mains will as well.

By any chance how did you get the 'A Fast Death' achievement? currently stuck on this one and slightly confused?
I have not, I'm not sure even how to do that one. Is the killer supposed to have haste or the survivor?
-
It depends on the time and day. One day I get babies and 4k/12 hooks the 3 killer games I’ll play…. The next few days I’m lucky to get 1k(I only go for hooks) and gens are done in 5 minutes(1 slowdown)… cycle rinses and repeats randomly.
-
I got told I was getting reported because I moved too fast after getting hit and I had no scratch marks and made no sounds.
my perks… overcome, lucky bread, bite the bullet and built to last with a green medit. I also loop optimally vs the huntress that was very generous around corners lol

If you just signal me to follow you at start of trial I will usually comply.
When I play killer, I'll immediately ignore that person or people and find the gen jockey lol

Often times I can go the whole match without being hooked. And it's not like I'm trying to hide from the killer or play for myself. It's like for whatever reason a killer just won't commit to chasing me.
I know some content creator's strategy is going for the people who have hook states rather than going for fresh hooks. Makes me wonder if it's a common mindset to do that.
I think it’s fairly common, killers who don’t want to “tunnel” but will only focus on two survivors. I’ve had so many matches where I was one of the two and just hid when I caught on to the strategy and only became visible when exit gates were open… in one match the killer never hooked or monitored gens because they were looking for just me because I was the only one with hook states, my squad opened the gates and I got hatch.

I've been playing survivor and I noticed the opposite, the people is so obsesed to do gens due the event that they ignore hook rescues, I never reached second stage in the hook as frenquently as these event days, I'm about to equip Kindred to avoid them thinking "I do gens, other team member will go to the rescue" (maybe).
In my opinion the energy should be drained more frequently or in bigger amounts from the gens, less seconds between each drain or 5 energy in each drain instead 3.
As someone with kindred, I’m still left to go second or even die on hook with this event. Nearing double digits that this happened.
-
my Issue usually isn’t left to die on hook with SWFs, it’s usually 3 person flashy squad that get two tapped so quickly.
-
I’m just a p19 on my yoichi(working to 100) and I already get so many killers dodging the lobby and I have gotten two killers that told me they tunneled me out because of my plvl.

Hmmm. It sounds like you were using windows of opportunity and/or bond and trying to shake the killer off. If I was this killer I would have happily camped you after you ran through the entire map of pallets and used them all up so your teammates have nothing left to use, and then easily kill the other three because you used all their resources...
That's just what it sounds like to me. If you ran the killer towards the survivors and they were even slightly wary of you they stopped working on the gens. That's the way soloers often do it, because they have to fight their teammates to escape even moreso than they have to fight the killers. It would be great if we could stop this mentality but the first thing that needs to end is the idea that shaking the killer off is even remotely fair. Don't lead the killer to the others. If I see a survivor on a gen while I'm being chased I will purposefully back track so the killer isn't shaken off, even if that costs me a hook. You need to be a team player not a solo newb.
You’d be wrong. I actually greeded most pallets and I don’t use windows. You know what they say about assumptions.

And you might want to play more survivor to know what he is talking about.
This is a common match as soloQ, a new player tunneled hard and dies at 5 gens. 2 teammates already farm points not doing gens, what's the point ? Move on to next game.
If anyone is complaining, it's the killer who is surprised his tunneling & full slowdown strat led to this.
This was the point of my post. Thank you! What’s the killer have to complain about?!?!

Being grabbed is +20/100. Two slams/throws into an object would down you anyways so that’s irrelevant. Passive infection rate is 0.8/s. That would take literally 100s from initial infection to max unless they grabbed and threw you into empty space multiple times. If you’re being tunneled off and don’t have a chance to use the spray, it also wouldn’t matter cause even without the Hindered, it’s not difficult to tunnel.
To clarify In both instances today I only got grabbed once and neither time the hit actually connected on screen.

I’m not sure why you think not being Hindered would suddenly make you unable to be tunneled out almost as well still. Even without it, he just has to wait out a 10s Endurance and then can kill you anyways.
My issues isn’t the 10 seconds, it’s running him for like 30 seconds+ then suddenly hindered indefinitely to no fault of my own.

Why don’t you try the “doing gens” challenge?

On the other side of the coin
Sometimes it's okay to admit that the tunneling was your or your teammates own doing
Running straight into the killers arms, not body blocking for your teammates, healing under hook vs a stealth killer, bodyblocking with the endurance effect in a dead zone, etc etc etc...
There is a big difference in asking to play fair vs asking to play dumb
I think that’s the thing too, Idc if a killer is playing fair. Just seems silly to say «I didn’t do » something when strategically it was the easier option.

I feel like there is:
60% Chance someone will give up after they realise the Killer is Nurse (or any killer they dislike)
25% Chance if they go first down
15% Chance if they do a big mistake and they just can't handle it
I’d add 10% not wanting to deal with killers ping

This is called the teammates shouldn't hook farm.
Like, wait for him to leave. He'd be purposefully throwing by going after the unhooker. You'd get way more distance than a person with BT.
Normally I would in this case the hooks were line of sight next to each other. I waited for him to get closer to other hook but person A was nearing second stage. Unfortunate set up but alas it was what it was
-
I guess a lot of you think 2-3 on death hook with 5 gens to go is still worth playing. My bad.

Sometimes they get rescued, start actually playing and win. I've lost several games to survs doing this
As killer this has maybe 1 time out of 300 matches of ppl doing this.

i want Ethan.

I like landing the knives and the aesthetic of him but he’s slow and huntress does everything he does but better.
I play him if I play killer but I only go against very experienced players so I get stomped on regularly

Yes, cause my 1000+ hours are just completely forgotten when I pick up a new survivor
You have no prestige on base game survivors?
-
@thrawn3054 said:
So your plan is to make it harder for them to get experience and hopefully learn how to play?
i don’t feel like playing a 3v1 from the start. It’s not like I get no prestige killers

@Huge_Bush said:
I hardly see Nurse in my mmr bracket. I don't think I see her in 1 out of 10 matches these days. Maybe you play too sweaty and ended up in the high mmr bracket and are facing similarly sweaty killers?
Genuinely I die like half my matches. Note: I play soloQ.

@Veinslay said:
Wow this guy's at high MMR, we got a bad ass over here!
I’m actually not. Mid mmr the most likely

@Remedicist said:
Agreed, the prestige level should not be seen in lobby. The end game result section is fine for it to show, but the lobby gives reason to dodge lobbies. It could be said that the prestige level, at least currently due to this system being new, does not imply a specific skill level but regardless it can still be used to dodge lobbies and anything that lengthens queue times is not great.
I mean if I see one of the free base characters has no prestige level, it’s not far off to asssume they could have significantly less hours than the counterparts.

Nurse is the hardest killer in the game to learn. She's just a different ball game. Comparing her to other killer's is like comparing apples to oranges.
Ummm no. Billy is the hardest m. I’d argue Spirit was harder especially pre-batch with iron will than nurse.

It's almost like mmr stabilized, and the people are starting to get to where there suppose to be. It's almost like inflated mmr is going away with time. Which is what EVERYONE was trying to say before survivors hopped on the "Dbd is killer sided campaign".
Love
-Solo q survivor player
Hard disagree tbh my mmr should have tanked with how many escapes I got for several days after the patch and my teammates should be worse. The past two days, I’ve gotten teammates that can run the killer, map awareness to where to run them and the others do gens.
my quality of teammates went significantly up.
-
Swap Hag for Sadako and bump up nurse and you basically have my list too. Nemmie has been often tho.
-
@YOURFRIEND said:
I've escaped more than I have in the past. I think the increased killer pool is giving MMR killers that I can actually beat.
...... Or it's disabled or broken and I've been getting by on random chance. Maybe I'm doing better because I never adhered to the meta? There's a lot of variables.
I never used meta before but possibly all my teammates did and some of the buffs to killer effecting things.
-
Honestly, If see cakes, flans are party streamers I go for 8 hooks usually. Exceptions being a survivor showing their arse… then I’ll go for 9.
-
@Marigoria said:
No, it isn't happening.
I've seen a lot of survivors dcing and suiciding in my games, but it's not because of "dead hard nerf". That's just an excuse people use while ignoring all the other basekit buffs killers got.
all of this. I don’t ignore the dcing or one hooking self but boy killers LOVE having 4 slowdowns with all the changes.
-
@Gladonos said:
This is not happening. Nice try.
The gaslighting is getting out of hand. The vast conspiracy that survivors are doing X instead of - maybe things are overtuned - is crazy
-
I watched one of my fave streamers talk about how soloq isn’t different, then he proceeded to lose every single match until he switched to killer lol
-
I have to agree that teammates giving up early is frustrating but it’s just as common as campers/tunnlers(as in, it’s frequent but not “every match”)
the biggest issue is a 4 stack slowdown that seems to be in 80% of my matches the last few days. The only matches I escaped on were ones the killer had 1-2 slowdowns and they still 2k’d.
-
I like a great deal of this mid chapter. The devs definitely listened and made some great changes. Unfortunately, player behaviour hasn’t changed and things that were annoying about soloQ and killer play have just become much much worse.
They need to revert some of the changes(gen speeds, blood lust) and look into limiting gen slowdowns (maybe a cap to avoid stacking.

I can hardly blame them. The most fun games are where you can sort of just chill and still win. I do not mind doing around one gen by myself in addition to the gen we spawn on together and having a quick chase with the killer where they either hook me and go somewhere else or give up and chase someone else.
The games where you have to do literally 4 gens or get tunneled for 5 minutes straight are kind of cringe.
This is exactly how most of my games are now. I either gen jockey 5 gens while my teammates are constantly getting g downed and get one hooked at the end or if I’m lucky they killer chases me so my teammates can not do gens(I usually max out on chase before I’m down and no gens pop)
-
I do see a rise in stealth play and gen rushing builds. Sadly I only liked the chase on the survivor side of things
-
i Luckily got mine done. This comp teching pubs none sense is getting out of control.

That's it, i found the definition of insanity for a solo q survivor. I did the same gen 4 times and everytime i got it at 70-80% the killer just instant destroyed it, even worse if the eruption proc, because i couldn't even try to protect it with repressed alliance
I had this, and pain res, jolt or thana like 5 times today and they purposely 3 gen'd too cause they knew how easy it was gonna be to defend. Literal hell trying to get my teammates to push one gen on the other side and run to the complete opposite side of the map when they are injured and not directly to the other gen being worked on. None of the killers were good in chase either, I ran 3/5 to the hatch and then the other two found hatch and I died to EGC.

Creating an arms race between gen times and hook times isn't the solution. If they make any change, it will be reducing gen times, most likely.
I can definitely see this.

@YOURFRIEND said:
What precisely are the four slowdowns you're bemoaning?
Bemoaning? Wow sounds like you actually care and aren’t planning to detail the conversation at all.
-
At first pretty bad. Nemmies/nurses and blight with 4 slowdowns. Then a few ok matches.
only play soloQ.
-
Yep, I got 3 to 170, 1 to 121 and half the rest are already p3 and the others p1 on survivor. I only like two killers, so I didn't bother. I already have the two I like p3 and maxed.

Hopefully they can make those survivors quieter and quiet survivors louder. Ace has free Iron Will and loud survivors are way easier to catch. I'm all for a balance there.
If they bring all the survivors at the same sound level it will make phasing more consistent which is nice
-
Honestly ppl are gonna play how they’re gone a play. I say baseline kinship and hardcore campers/tunnlers (at 5 gens) should have all points earned transferred to survivor if they are sacrificed at one hook or the only hook the killer has.
-
@Roadrunner said:
How do you avoid genrushing without slowdown perks? Usualy all gens are done, when i get my second or third hook. What can i do, to avoid this?
I just play for hooks anyway as I feel like once I get to a certain point (mmr wise) it’s just not fun for me. I don’t even use slowdown perks.
I have seen nurse and blights complain but they show up with a comp build and surprised survivors wanna dip out as quick as possible.
