I wish there were a brown meme add-on that let me ditch his stupid knives to be a normal 115 speed killer. The recoil on his knives is pain on console, as is trying to aim without a crosshair because even after all these years no, I cannot naturally tell where the middle of the TV screen is.

I love the way Trickster twirls his weapon after a hit. I just want to run around doing that, but being 110 speed makes him crap as an M1 killer.

Cross hair doesn't do much cause his knives don't land in the center.

Pretty much. Survivors aren't exposed to Nurse very often, let alone good ones, and her chase mechanics are unique. It leads players to conclude that she's OP because she "ignores" mechanics you shouldn't be attempting against her in the first place.

It's a mechanics heavy chase where your goal is to buy 60-80 seconds by the time you get hooked. It's a fantastic Nurse run if you've done that. But people think they should be able to no-hit run every killer, not to mention the fact that none of these players do that to any other killer.

the "no-hit run" argument is my most "#########" when people dc against my Trickster. "You just eventually get downed by him" - like as opposed to never go doing to a killer chasing you? What game are these ppl playing?

There's nothing wrong with Julie's Mix Tape.

If a Legion gets stunned by a Pallet in Frenzy with Julie's, he still loses his chain combo.

If a Legion reactivates his power and vaults this pallet (.9 seconds) and then hits you, you can't be downed.

If a Legion reactivates his power and vaults the pallet (.9 seconds) and then cancels his power (3.0 seconds) that means he's been inactive for longer than if he'd just kicked the pallet (2.6 seconds).

The only benefit Julie's gives is that you get your meter refilled and can take your pallet break cooldown on the go (the manual cancelling of Frenzy) and when they activate it, it's going to be 1.3 seconds longer than just kicking the pallet when you include the .9 seconds it takes for them to vault it.

And if a Legion vaults the pallet and just Frenzy's you whether you're healthy or not, and runs off, then he's got to backtrack and find everyone else all over again to down someone. And if by the time this happens the rest of the players have not spread out, then that's on you guys.

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills with people coming for Legion's semi healthy add ons. Julie's and the legion pin in another post. You explain why Julie's isn't bad at all and with Legion pin, it encourages survivors not to heal and do gens(which they should be doing anyway)

  • Oh yeah, I made it on one of the bigger survivor main channels as I was just doing a killer daily on my switch. It was like my second ever match and on the switch controller it's very difficult(switched to PC). They had a good old time spamming their flashlights and doing all their techs and everything, and refusing to open the door after the gens were done. They had at the time lik 5k hours to my like 20 hours. They also didn't show my 1 perk loadout to their full meta loadout or talk about how I was clearly new.

  • Lynxi has amazing vids in her YouTube that showcases the fun elements you can have.

  • My current fave:

Smash Hit, Parental Guidance, Any Means Necessary, and Windows of Opportunity :D

  • No it was 10000% a bot. It was the one that goes through walls and instantly teleports to hooks to hook you. I used a syptic after they ran out of hatchets and just spun. idk if she was coded to wait out a septic or what.

  • Had a huntress bot today, she ran out of hatchets and I just ran in a circle for like 6+min while everyone got gens done cause she wouldn't hit. Got the gens done and we all instantly went down lol

  • I main him, but think I’ve come across a Trickster….. like once in a few months.

  • I played yesterday, my preferred killers(Two are just m1 killers) and got back to back teams that made it impossible to play. Not in the "just improve x" skill but either pre-drop every pallet and hold forward on large maps OR greed every pallet, dh to either continue to greed or chain a loop. The ladder was a 4 man squad(confirmed by them) where every one of them knew every pallet on the map and their distancing.

I nearly lost to a 4 man swf(also confirmed by them) that did not look behind them and pre-dropped every god pallet and held W on Erie as Trickster. There were still some pallets left but the fact that I got rid of a massive area just destroyed the team in the end with all the gens completed... 5 hooks total.

  • @tester said:

I played 5 solo survivor games and the most the team ever completed was 3 gens. Half of the matches just 2 gens. Is this supposed to be the new and improved matchmaking system? Anybody has similar experience, in solo specifically or is it just bad luck?

It could very well be tome challenges. I know for me, I wasted time on some of them like doing 10 totems, 6 sabos when I could of been on gens. It seems everyone is doing the same thing. Survivor challenges pull away from the objective.

  • I feel like this was exactly my last game as Spirit except with all four with dh/iron will and they had so many chained tiles. I now just play tome challenges then move back onto Survivor.

  • Just wait till he stops frenzing to finish mending and spread out immediately and do gens. He's still fairly easy to play against.

  • @TheycallmeLix said:

The new Haddonfield sucks, way too killer sided with 5-6 pallets in the whole map. Every game is a Legion with that annoying add-on that makes you broken for 60 sec afther mending.. my friends who played with me most of the time are actually saying they don’t wanna play for the whole week until they reduced the chances of getting sent to Haddonfield. Thanks for buffing only killer things this patch, and nothing for survivor..

Maybe it's cause I was constantly send to Haddonfield as bb killer and recently Erie/Game/MacMillan/PRD.... It's good to have a solid Killer map now.

  • @sizzlingmario4 said:

I heard someone else mention it was an iron will bug, were you using that?

Nope, no iron will on me and the other person I spectated

  • As killer, a game that should end could drag on forever cause the other person is hiding the whole time. I’d rather take a 3k and they get hatch and quickly move on to next.

  • @drsoontm said:

Usually because they don't know how to verse the killer and don't want to learn.

Granted, the best way is usually to play the killer and see how good survivor play against you but to do so you need to buy the killer.

That’s exactly what I do, I find trickster much easier to face than huntress and deathslingers…. By a large mile. Map awareness and position are key .

  • @Phasmamain said:

Can you blame them? Trickster on a map with little walls (blood lodge or ormond for example) is basically just old legion but a bit more skillful. No real fun to be had there

The sad thing is, when it’s up to rng, I rarely get those maps lol I always get LERY’S, Erie, rpd, badham and mother’s dwelling lol

    @Pulsar said:

Unlike with Huntress or Deathslinger, you can't really outplay his power.

you absolutely can, even with my not playing the camping game. One survivor that knows to hold W, pre-drop can waste so much time. With huntress and slinger, I can injure you a fraction of the time it takes for Trickster.

  • Nurse for me, for some strange reasons while learning nurse I have to go against efficient squads. I play as my mains with proper builds in case of a sweat squads, I get soloq's trying their best. I'll then be chill and go play nurse to improve with her plaid add on and strictly information perks... I get sweat squads lol

I don't think he needs a nerf to his zoning, neither does Pyramid Head, as his zoning is worse

I don't think you've played as/against Demogorgon enough to understand how good his zoning is

Oh he's good at zoning yes, if you think he needs a hard nerf in that area then by all means suggest it.

Should Demogorgon get nerfed aswell? He can zone as well if not better than PH

You have the ability to put a pallet down and he can't hit you through it so it's fine to me cause there is counterplay.

No, don't nerf pyramid head. We barely have any pyramid head players. They already nerfed his animation speed when cancelling his power.

If you made it so you have to use your power, and you can't cancel it, you'd just have survivors W key'ing right when they see him about to plant his sword into the ground.

I mean, his power is his already anti-loop. His bonus free ability to zone on top of that is equivilant to Spirit's old stand still "tech". Run to a loop, he puts his sword down and follows you until you either drop the pallet or you keep running into his goo or away from the loop to a dead zone. It's a win/win for the killer and a zero for the survivor. The canceling is not long enough, the twins got a harder nerf in that department.

  • She's so boring the two times I've come across an artist doing a daily. I can't see why she'd need a nerf, she's intended to be that dull.

  • Nerf to Iron will for Spirit, or have her completely bypass in it while in phase.

Nerf to Pyramid head, require him to use his power instead of being able to cancel it after zoning.

nerf to 110 speed on killers.

buff allow Plague to recall her corrupt anywhere

    buff no recoil to trickster

  • I didn’t know you had a twitch! I will def check out as there’s hardly any spirit players to watch!

IW is okey perk for me. I have not problem against IW gamers.

But i have issue when i play Spirit. She needs to listen but how you can do this against IW users? I need tips from Spirit mains.

They just moved the stand still spirit issue to stand still survivors. I tend to short phase intially to see what mind games are being played if I play Spirit. If they stand still, or barely move, I have a 50/50 of catching them off guard. If they held forward, i'll get my phase back quicker and they'll expect me to short phase again. Rinse repeat.

I prefer using dried cherry blossom and mother daughter ring now tho, I know people hate it but at the same time dh/iron will on every survivor every match isn't fun either.

  • Sadako, Legion, Freddys, myers and GF. They're some of the most loopable killers in the game..

  • Lol remember when ppl said they only cared about nerfing Spirit…. Now it’s nurse.

its not nurse or blight you’re mad about, you’re mad that ppl are boxed into playing those two killers because of the design of the game at higher levels .

Probably less MMR more that the Legion mains are rising from their graves since his buffs were announced

Not until CoH gets a hard nerf. I don't even play Sadako after p3ing her and getting all the perks on her cause it's still too annoying.

  • A gothic style cemetery, thinking new orleans style or something similar in Interview With a Vampire.

  • I think my issue lately is... my matches today for example. I played 8 matches. 6 of them were against nurses, 2 were blights. It's just boring, and since I play solo and 4 of those nurses hit their blinks, those games were cakes for the nurses. The other 2 lost all the gens, one just slugged us all on the floor and bled us out, the other hid in the corner till we left.

I just wish we could change our killers and the lobby would let you know if you're going against a swf. I feel like A LOT of killers, assume they'll go against comms and thus bring the best add ons for their killers. I know I would play more chill or look at my own skill level if I knew I was going against solo or swf(granted it can be obvious for SWFS)

  • I find her fun to play with two factors.... map and if it's soloq or not. Even then depending on how high your MMR, she can be super weak in soloQ if the survivors split do gens, hold W and pre-drop pallets(and pay attention). Granted, this is assuming CoH is involved in every match, if not, then I honestly she's still on the weak end but managable.

So... nerfing CoH would be ideal.

Iron Will is the only real "counter" to Spirit. It is fine.

It absolutely is not, and if you think so.. you need to work on your looping and mind games.

  • I mean, who is really asking for Myers to get a nerf when he's one of the weakest killers in the game.

  • @Chilli_man2400 said:

Would people be happy if it got the Lucky break treatment. Basically making it so while Injured iron will silences grunts of pain for 1/2/3 minutes and after that it’s disabled the whole game

i would because it keeps its strength but at a cost that needs to be managed.

  • Here’s the thing, if they gave a perk that was strong with the 4v1, it would be to the detriment of soloQ which is why I can’t see them doing.

I think the 4v1 with swf on comms can easily break the game(not all swf, I know you were already typing) but they’ve shown no desire to balance toward high mmr and squads instead balancing around casual.

Ah yes, the fact the killer will gain 400 points and then lose over 1000. Definitely. Makes total sense.

"You'll recieve less points for 3 kills than 1 kill" could be misleading, I'll go and correct that. Basically, you'll recieve less points going from 2 kills to 3 kills, than you will 1 kill to 2 kills. Say you get 400 points for kill 1, then 360 for kill 2, 300 for kill 3, and 200 for kill 4. That's a total of +1260 still, whereas 1 kill would only be 400 points minus whatever you lose for letting people escape.

Oh so a killer will leave with -1000 to their established mmr score or lose out on gaining 1000 mmr?

my overall point is getting back to back matches struggling to get 1 hook/ camping to get that 1 kill at endgame and it being a net positive when the match was clearly mismatched.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

There's some misconception here so I'll just copy paste over what I've already written on it to this thread:

"As survivor, if you escape a trial alive, you've won. If the killer kills a survivor, that's a win for the killer. The survivors, in terms of MMR, are playing one game at a time- them vs the killer- and all other survivors are ignored. The killer is playing four games at once- all of which are a 1v1 vs the survivors.

    ///

And here comes another exception. Oh lord.

    Not all losses are equal!

The first survivor to die will recieve a much harsher adjustment than the others, because once one survivor is dead the chances of the others to escape become much less.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/EXM3RWS0MHHU/image.png

These numbers are not official, but I will use them as an example. Say that all survivors will incur a 400 point penalty for losing. Survivor one, who dies first, will incur the full 400 point penalty. Survivor two, dying next, will incur a lesser penalty- let's say 10% less, for a deduction of 360 points. Survivor 3, who died next, would then recieve 25% less, for a deduction of 300 points, and poor survivor 4 dying last would recieve a penalty of 50% less for minus 200 points. I hope this can help if it wasn't 100% clear. Once more these numbers are not official, and the adjustments will be proportional to how much the chances shift of if the survivors will/won't escape.

For the record, this is why killer maths gets weird. Killers will recieve diminishing marginal returns (not their words) to their kills- in other words, you'll recieve less points for kill 3 than kill 1.

    "

My point is affirmed by your clarification.

You get the Claud face by default really. Its that damn Jake that takes so long.

Explain why Bubba's tunnel me a lot since I play a ton of Jake lol

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

1 kill is not going to increase your mmr substantially. I have already tested that extensively going for Claudette's mask.

That might very well be true but if I'm being matched with ppl above my skill level, I will continue to get those matches because I killed 1 person. I could 1 hook a person at endgame and it's considered a win, even if it was a horrific match for me and I should have lower mmr because of how mismatched it was. Even when you do lose completely you only slightly lose a little mmr.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/285140/we-should-know-if-it-s-a-swf-beforehand

It's nice that you would play more chill against non-SWF, but I think you're being naive if you don't think that a lot of players would use the opportunity to go harder instead. Putting on mass blindness or slugging builds against solos for example, or only playing certain killers (e.g. Twins) against solos, or just dodging every 3/4 man SWF.

It's kind of like saying "I should see the killer before the match because then I'll chill out if they're playing a low-tier killer". Plenty of people would not be so kind.

I’m sure they would do but I feel like saving my resources(add ons) for groups since I don’t have a lot. I feel like when I do use them, I get soloQ players eating glue in the corner of the map cause they have a gen allergy and it feels like I wasted my add ons.

  • Dreading, I think I'm just burned out. I used to be excited for when Switch got cross progression to play killer on PC but I kinda don't care anymore.

  • @R2k said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2539426#Comment_2539426

I mean those killers who only search solos at some point will hit a wall of very very long dodging queue if they keep avoid any kind of swf. So revealing swf won't hurt them much.

Look at MMR, while killers complain, they still search match longer while for survivors it's instant.

That’s what I’m saying, queues are long for killer anyway so there’s no point anymore not to have that info beforehand. This way if they know they’re going against a 3-4 stack they can adjust their load out accordingly to deal with the groups advantages.

  • @R2k said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2539412#Comment_2539412

Those who dodge to face weaker players will eventually hit higher mmr. So it doesn't matter if solo exist or not. People enjoy playing with friends and it's common in dbd. U can't just dodge everyone.

Ok you’re talking about dodging for weaker competition. Are SWF’s dodging SoloQ to avoid weaker teammates, no?

1 … 4 5 6 7 8 … 11
