I'd prefer it be all original content instead of licensed content.
I wouldn't mind if we had only original content. If removing licensed characters means no more NFT, I'm for it, as much as I love Silent Hill.
I'm ready to say bye to a license I love for the health of the game.

I don't know much about why people buy NFT's, and you cannot state that "steam wont ban dbd herp derp", steam can essentially ban whoever the ######### they want, and steam is know for spending millions of dollars on lawsuits for petty reasons, so I have no doubt that they won't hesitate to nuke DBD from the launcher if they want to make an example out of them.
Not to mention that BHVR just lied to everyone's faces when by saying they weren't going to be associated with NFT's not even 1 week ago, and then tried to secretly slide in this little "announcement" right before one of the best gameplay patches of all time. That was no accident.
Your also forgetting that they heavily implied that Pinhead is going to get custom skins that you can only get from 200+ dollar lootboxes from a 3rd party website? What the ######### is up with that?!
If you aren't pissed of about this situation then I doubt you believe in anything at all, especially consumer protections, because this decision could ONLY be made by a greedy, giant corporation that BHVR has become over the last 5 years.
It was pure luck that DBD got as popular as it is now, maybe the game will have to die for them to realize that. If VHS hits their gameplay out of the park, then BHVR is going to be in some hot water.
Can you link the source of where they said they're not associated with NFT? I don't find it.
If you refer to these tweets, they never said "we are not associated with it":
https://twitter.com/deadbybhvr/status/1448649848840806402?s=21 https://twitter.com/deadbybhvr/status/1448649851755917328?s=21I might misunderstood myself the words as I'm not an English native speaker. But I see nowhere "no NFT". They just said there is no exclusive content linked to the NFT.
(I also wanna add: I sound like I'm defending BHVR, but I'm just telling a fact. I do not and I will never support NFT.)

IIRC, The PC versions of DBD also have cross-progression, so theoretically your information can be saved via tying it to a BHVR account.
Like, from Steam to Microsoft Store? If I own the game and some DLCs, I can transfer them to Microsoft Store?

It's worth mentioning that, at least to my understanding, the game getting removed doesn't mean Steam players will lose access to it- it just means that the game will be taken off store pages.
But it means no more updates, and if your game isn't updated, you can't play.

In case some of you have not heard BHVR has decided to collaborate with some NTFs people to make the Hellraiser chapter be bought by those tokens. What they fail to realize is that Steam has said unequivocally that they will BAN any game that uses NTFs or any cryptocurrency off of their platform. So I implore BHVR don't do this, please don't introduce NTFs into this game, because we don't need the game banned over this.
Where Steam said that? I'd like to read it.

Oh no, you will still get hate, it'll just be a different kind of flavour.
People complain no matter what Killer we play. I had once a Survivor who complained because we faced a Trapper.
"Play another Killer, Trapper is terrible."
They started a war because of a character choice. I've been insulted to death because I took the defense of the Killer.
We could play perkless and addonless, there will be someone who will find a way to complain. Some wanna complain because they need to pass their frustration somewhere. And online video games seem to be the place to be for it.
I'm really excited for Spirit. I'm still a bit scared to play Killer after being insulted hard for no reason, but I'd like to play her when I'll feel ready. She had one of the coolest design (but Oni still be the number one in my heart).
-
I don't think it's a problem. If we go this way, a lot of perks are a problem.
-
I run Dead Hard/Sprint Burst, Windows of Opportunity, Iron Will and Resilience.
I don't play Killer yet, it's too stressful for me for now. I mean, I played a bit of Killer games but I had to make a break until I feel ready. I used BBQ and Pop, I liked them and I plan to use them again in the future.
-
No need to laugh, she will still be playable.

I have finally saved up a million BP, plus need to use the codes for the extra BP - this is the first time I have successfully managed to save points and not spend them. Now I just have to remember not to open the game and spend them before release.
I'm in the same exact position. I have 1 million ready for tomorrow, I will redeem the codes tomorrow... And it's the first time I saved BP for a new character. Usually, I'm too impatient for it.
I can't wait for tomorrow 5 PM my time!
-
Nice, thank you for sharing. I'm gonna redeem the two other codes tomorrow for Mikaela, I'll add this one to the list.

Because people take the game way to seriously instead of trying new ######### and enjoying themselves. For example, im running a sabo build that basically gets me tunneled each game. Do i care i die? No because im having fun.
Well, the way you have fun can be different from how someone else has fun. I don't understand the "competitive" vs. "fun". Being competitive doesn't mean you don't have fun. Fun is subjective, depending your goal.
I have fun if I had interactions with the Killer, with my teammates. I don't care if I die, but I'm trying to improve each game. Improving and facing stronger and stronger players is fun to me.
-
DS is fine how it is now. If you have time to heal yourself or someone else, you're not tunneled.
Legion will down people while having a speed boost? No. People will DC as soon as they see it's Legion.
-
I avoid playing Survivor on Sunday because all I got is teammates who hide in corners. I guess the unfun part goes for both side.

I'm sorry, this is a machine translation, so I may not be able to convey it well.
And the Roman alphabet is well conveyed. Thank you.
Killer attacks normally with the M1 button (left mouse click).
Replace this with knife throwing done with M2 + M1.
In other words, the knife is held from the beginning, and the M1 button is used to throw the knife, and if you hold it, it will keep throwing.
When the knife stock is 0, you can hit it with the M1 button.
No, because sometimes, you're close enough to hit with M1. You could lose a target because you were forced to use your power instead of M1.
-
Edit: I didn't understand what "to trump" means, sorry. Not an English native speaker. My bad. :(
-
You were against players with a bad connection. As Junylar said, if they have a high ping, you can be on the opposite side of the map, you'll be hit. I think it's to prevent people with a bad connection not being able to play as intended, like they'd never stand a chance as a Killer if they were unable to hit someone.
(I don't mean I agree with it tho. It's frustrating when I started to run away from the window and suddenly got hit while the Killer is still on the other side of the wall.)
(Edition to correct a typo.)

Everyone was like, Home Sweet Home: Survive is gonna be a good competitor for DBD. I didn't heard about it for months. Last time I checked Twitch, no one was watching it.
I've heard of Propnight earlier today. I watched a stream of the beta. It's probably only my opinion, but it looked far from being fun. The graphics were fine, I don't mind a cartoonish style. The gameplay was questionnable to me. Seeing players turning into object to jump around like gravity doesn't exist... It got me out of it.
VHS sounds fine, the graphics looks fine. But I don't think it's enough to draw a whole player base. Maybe some people will leave DBD for it, like players leave games from time to time because it's how it works. A playerbase moves: you have people who leave, people who start playing for a short time, people who come in for a long time...
DBD will lose players as other games lose players, but will earn new players as well.

I was excited for MMR. I didn't think I'd say that, but I miss the old rank system. MMR increasing because I escaped isn't good to me. I don't even have fun with meme builds, because it doesn't matter what you run when it's a 1 vs. 1 with three people hiding around to sandbag.
-
If your only motivation is to show off a rank 1, I'd play something else. Being rank 1 only means you play a lot. If you have no more fun, take a break. It works most of the time.
-
It is for me. The good news: you can get the character with shards, so you don't have to spend money if you don't want to.
-
Cool, enjoy your med-kit then.
-
Myers is all I got since the MMR is out. I've escaped ten times in a row, and I thought I will finally see someone else...
No. Myers again.
I died a lot of time in a row...
Myers.
Maybe I should lower my MMR too, especially since I'm not the best player out there. I wish I was meeting different Killers.

Just like Counterforce or Power Struggle I guess. Or any of the other perks they were supposed to be broken before release.
maybe let’s actually test the perks with the upcoming changes? They really don’t see that busted anymore, the most broken stuff was addressed
I remember people being scared of Power Struggle and Counterforce.
I've only seen these perks if the player is doing the Adept challenge. Boon totems will be popular the first days because people will do the Adept...
But I hope to see them more often after, to have more variety to the meta. Not changing the meta, but having a larger choice of meta perks would be great.

No, Trapper is double s tier. He is just so far ahead of Nurse that nobody will play Nurse ever again once this super saiyan buff comes through.
Trapper is finally the best Killer of them all.

I only play Killer for the tome challenge now. I rarely played Killer before, but I tried from time to time to improve.
Now, I don't even care. Challenge done, I chill around, seeing if I can get some hits at least.

I am enjoying the game a lot, but i do take breaks from the game often enough as well. Its not the most varied game when it comes to gameplay.
I definitely would love to see some more fundamental changes to the game. I still have a bit of hope that the mori changes will have an impact, since they mentioned that they would be built into base kit and their will be some form of interaction for survivors to prevent them.
But just more perk buffs, or even a few nerfs would help give the game more variety. The perk meta we have right now isn‘t all too varied. Which is why I am looking forward to the boon perks and buffed retribution and blood favor.
They said that about Mori? I don't play Killer, but it's exciting. I want more stress in the end game. It feels like, as a Survivor, you hide while someone open a door, they get chased, and I can finish to 99% the door. And everyone go back to the hook to make a save. Open the door. Bye.
I liked the new No Way Out, but I've seen it only once since its rework. It made the end game more interesting. Escaping is fine, it's kind of my objective as Survivor. But man, I wish it was more exciting for both sides.
-
So, at low MMR, Killers bring Ruin? Is this allowed? Oh, and you even have four tier 3 perks! At low MMR!
People bring what they want in game, no matter what side they play. If you want to take your strongest add-ons/perks, that's right. But don't be surprise if people do the same.
And as someone stated, if you are high MMR with one Killer, you're probably not low MMR with the others, even if you don't play them. I guess it's to avoid to stomp new players with a Killer we didn't play with for months while we know at least the basics of the Killer gameplay.

BHVR isn’t your daddy that needs to teach you life lessons.
I totally agree with you.
-
I've got one Billy yesterday. One in weeks. You're so lucky.
-
Oni. Kazan's the coolest Killer of them all, if you ask my objective opinion. So Oni mains are cool.
-
Killers have perk to block generators, but usually it happens when they down/carry someone.
It'd be interesting to have one to block after kicking.
-
I play Killer sometimes, but mostly Survivor.
From the Survivor's side:
"Tunneler." Most of the time, I've seen it being the Survivor's fault. The Killer hooks a Survivor, a teammate was hiding behind a wall which was one meter away. They rush to the hook, save. The Killer, who didn't have time to find someone else because they were two meters away from the hook, comes back.
No. Please, wait for the Killer to go away. I used to think they tunneled hard when it happened, but playing Killer opened my eyes. I don't want to tunnel, so I usually go for the savior if someone unhooks right after I turned my back. But... Where's the savior? I only see the unhooked one.
Pro tips for Survivors: if you do a unsafe unhook, show yourself to help your teammate. Take a hit, take the aggro... And no, BT isn't your tool-to-go for hiding after unhooking.
From the Killer's side:
"Nice gen rush." Unless my teammates brought three toolboxes with a BNP and repair together with Prove Thyself, I don't see how we "gen rush". I'm actually aware about the fact generators seem to be repaired pretty quickly if the Survivors are efficient. I sometimes spawn directly next to a generator when the game starts. I do my best to cleanse a totem in my way if I see the generators go fast, so I'm doing another objective. But I won't sit there and wait to give my opponent an advantage.

Asking for the source, not looking for it. I could waste an entire day, not find anything, and the person who actually made the claim and actually has the burden of proof would just say "well, you obviously didn't look hard enough!"
Sorry, I'm French. I wanted to say that I agree with you. I just didn't use the right word.
-
It depends. I crouch repeatedly to my teammates to say "Hello", to ask for a heal, to say "Thanks"... They crouch back.
I never do it to a Killer, I don't want to ruin their fun while playing. We are opponents, but I also think about the human behind the screen.
But the three SWF I'm sometimes matched with love to do it to show me that, no, we won't save the poor solo you are because we don't care.

There is no button to activate it, that's the principle of the perk to activate when you start running.

He doesn't want second-hand information; he wants the actual source. Perfectly legitimate request IMO for the person who made the claim.
That's how it works: looking for the source. It's a great reflex. Never trust intermediates.
