If the killer played scummy I can actually see this as legit payback, but in my case I hardly ever play killer and 90% of the time they all escape as I just play killer for some easy BP for a daily like chase survivors for 180 seconds or catch three people in a bear trap and my rank as killer is so low I never see the survivors I faced as a killer in my survivor lobby. They just wanted to be jerks and get the person not in their group killed which is stupid as it just makes it more likely the killer will win. If you played it straight as a killer I see no reason for them to bully you like that, but if you hard camped or tunneled the entire game...then in that case yeah you probably deserved it.
I don't tunnel or camp unless it's somebody trolling. I'm a fair killer and survivor. He was just mad that he got outplayed. I found it hilarious that he was so salty because he got beat. It's not that serious. LOL

It's happened to me before and I wasn't sure why, but it turned out that I had killed the survivor doing it in a previous match as Michael and apparently they wanted to punish me for doing my objective as a killer. Sounded legit. 😂

I saw that comment on YouTube but wasn't sure if it was confirmed or just a fan theory. Still, I would love for that cosmetic to get released for Claudette. They could do some sort of alternate timeline DLC drop with "what could have been" outfits. I'd be all over that.

Other memorable moments?
The time I hit rank 1 as old freddy, no addons, and trying my best to play fair. It was so incredibly frustrating but oh my god did it feel worth it.
Sinking over 1.5k hours into this game, about 750 on each side. Hitting rank 1 killer around around the 500 hour total mark, but finally recently hitting rank 1 survivor too was just amazing.
Since Demise of the Faithful, this game has been slowly getting better. Sure, there've been some... Questionable moments, but overall this game has somehow improved more and more each time.
Thank you, BHVR. As much as I love to make jokes about you, you've truly done an amazing job keeping this game afloat for coming up 4 years now. Considering how you do this whilst giving all your employees a very good amount of time off and everything (almost everyone if not everyone got Christmas off, for a week. No other company I can think of does that) , thank you so much.
Here's to another 3 years.
I can't believe I didn't mention Daddy King in my original post. He's my favourite male survivor and I main as him a lot. I love that he's from Manchester as that's my hometown too, so he just feels like 'my' character, if that makes sense? lol.
I loved this post and I definitely agree with that final part. I think we're often quick to forget just how much time and effort does go into keeping this game running, so that's why I wanted a thread where we can all show the Developers that their time IS appreciated.
@LegionMain343 Frank is my man! I never understood the Legion hate. They're top 3 for me. Michael, Pig and Legion are my mains.

That’s a really interesting way to view each trial! I might try this mindset when I next play. One thing I sometimes do is go perkless, as it creates a more realistic experience and makes you really think about everything you do. Adds some terror to the game.

From the descriptions given, I definitely lean more towards being a hybrid. I play both survivor and killer and couldn’t choose a side, as I genuinely love / hate both equally lol. I try to avoid arguments as best as I can, or at least be careful with words as I know how easily things can get misconstrued online. A lot of stuff I say is supposed to be taken with a humorous tone, but I know that doesn’t always translate. I’m objective in my views as I can emphasise with both sides of the playing field. Ultimately, I want my presence to be a positive thing on this forum and inside the game.
I play under the username ‘Sunnydalist’ on PS4, so if we ever bump into each other, feel free to say hi.

Well, that's a question for the Devs, not me.
I play both sides and can see issues from both. I've always said that playing killer is far more stressful, which shouldn't be the case. Comparing this to a similar game like Friday the 13th, where playing as Jason is an absolute breeze. It's ridiculous. I just try to look at things objectively, because like I said, it's not always black and white. The game can screw over killers AND survivors.
I just don't think people should be called bad players for using perks like DS and Unbreakable and I don't think players should be called bad for slugging, camping, tunneling and using NOED. There's a reason people are playing the way they are and it's because sometimes it feels like the only way. The current state of the game is a mess and there's no debate about that. It's so different from when I first started playing two years ago and it's definitely changed for the worse.
I love getting new content, but I'd rather the Devs just focus on actually trying to balance the game. I love playing survivor, but it's far too easy to escape. It needs to be more difficult and the killers actually need to feel like a threat.

I do understand what people say about certain perks helping out people when they make a mistake, but it's not always the case. I've been downed plenty of times from hits that clearly did not connect, like, AT ALL. So how was that my mistake? The hit boxes sometimes being highly inaccurate isn't my fault, it's the games. So if I get slugged during one of those instances and pick myself up, I don't feel like I've been carried by a perk. I've simply been given the chance to avoid a hook that shouldn't be happening in the first place. Not everything is black and white in this game. Downs/hooks don't automatically mean "git gud" as some people seem to think.

It’s not as powerful as some people think. He moves so slow with it that he can be easily looped. It’s only really good for jump scares. I’ve had plenty of matches against it and the entire team has escaped. It’s one of the few add ons that’s fun for both killer and survivor. Leave it alone.

I see where you’re coming from with that comment. I’m a fair killer, sometimes I’m too nice, but in a game, I don’t think that should even be an issue. I often let the last survivor go, I only really play savage if the survivor is asking for it. Flicking the flashlight at me constantly, vaulting over and over to get my attention, because during those moments, you wanted my attention, so you can have it and get hooked. But as I play both sides, I can see how frustrating games can be from both angles, so I try to make sure I don’t intentionally ruin somebody’s fun. I’ve had plenty of matches where survivors have pointed at lockers to expose teammates, but I’ll refuse to open the locker and go after the troll instead. At the end of the day, I play this game as I love it and I want to have a good time. I also want the people in my lobbies to have a good time as well, whether my objective is to escape or kill them. This is why I try to stay out of the ‘wars’ – as I just don’t have any interest in them. This has been one of my favourite games to play for 3 years now and I don’t see that changing any time soon.

@edgarpoop I see what you mean, but I suppose it’s all subjective. I see a lot of people call Amanda weak, but I can 4K as her a lot. But I just find her gameplay really fun, so even if I don’t get any kills, I can still enjoy the match. I just try not to go in with the mindset that I have to win, as that ruins the experience for me and it just becomes too stressful. I like doing a lot of jump scare stuff as I feel like that rewards both me and the survivor. As it’s making me laugh knowing I just scared the life out of somebody and it’s fun for them, as we all love a good jump scare!

Nah it’s fine. They don’t upset me or anything. I just find them embarrassing. I know the type of person I am, and I know how I play. I’m a team player. So when people send me these types of messages, the problem is with THEIR gameplay, not mine.

I deal with depression too, I’ve even posted about it on here before. And I still would never take it out on other people. These guys were just trolls. I wish I recorded the match, they were awful. I escaped the Freddy numerous times. I think they were just mad I outperformed them. Some SWF tend to think they’re untouchable. So when they get killed, it’s obviously because they had a trash team, right? 😂

Oh don’t worry. I did report it! I always do. I’ve just turned my messages off now, so only friends can message me. It’s a shame as I do get nice messages too. I just can’t be bothered having to read salty messages when I’m just trying to enjoy myself. I honestly believe some people can’t tell the difference between a game and the real world. They take it far too serious. I did everything right that match. If I did something that unintentionally screwed somebody over, I would have messaged them after the match to apologise. But I know I didn’t do anything wrong in that match. They were just mad they died and had to find somebody to blame. It’s sad that he’s a streamer. I love how he went silent after I asked him if he shows his viewers the messages his friend sends to people. Absolute loser!

The only thing I want changing with No Mither is that you don’t have the injured music until you’re knocked down. I don’t like spawning in with the music playing.

It’s all subjective. As The Pig is my favourite killer to play as in the game. I have the most fun as her and I almost always get a 4K with her. She suits my gameplay. Everybody raves about Spirit and Billy, but they don’t do anything for me. I’ll always be team bacon. 🥓💙

Unless you’re running Spine Chill or you’re in a SWF, I think all of the stealth killers have the ability to scare you. I was having so much fun using Amanda’s Letter last night and I actually got 4 gen grabs in 1 match and 2 in the following match. I know for a fact the people I grabbed almost had a heart attack. I had a guy message me recently saying I scared the ######### out of him whilst doing a Scratched Mirror Myers build. I love scaring the survivors. I think it makes the game more fun for them. 😂

Other than Myers, Bubba is actually my favourite killer to go against. I don’t know why, but I find him so intimidating to face. Seeing him waddling after you with his chainsaw always creeps me out.

I run No Mither and Iron Will a lot. This completely counters Stridor. It’s also great against the many many Spirits you face. 😂

It depends on how they disconnect. If they click “leave match” then the survivors keep their bloodpoints and items. If they pull the plug or force close the app the survivors lose everything.
This drives me insane. I’ve had so many matches on PS4 where I know I’m going to get a lot of BP and the killer crashes their app just as the gates get powered, leaving me with nothing. I’m hoping it’s something they can fix. It’s so unfair.

I got banned for 24 hours once because a party of 3 purposely trolled me and wouldn’t heal me. So I kept blowing up the generator and fast vaulting windows to give their location away. It was definitely worth the ban. Zero regrets. 😂

Playing killer has been weird for me recently too. It’s hard to explain, but I somehow feel like I’m moving too fast? Something just feels off with the frame rate. It’s only when I play killer though. Survivor seems to be completely normal, minus the lag that’s appearing in the waiting lobbies. It’s definitely a game issue as there’s nothing wrong with my internet and I’m experiencing zero issues with any other multiplayer games...

This is why I don’t really play solo anymore. I just always seem to find teammates who might as well spawn in on the hook. SWF seems to be the only way for me to enjoy playing survivor these days. And when my friends aren’t online, I’ll just play killer. I can’t tell if the player base has gotten worse, or it’s just that I’ve gotten better and better as time has gone by, so I’m noticing me having to carry the team much more.

Are you a low rank survivor? As one thing me and my friend always say is how much more stressful it is playing killer. Being a rank 1 survivor is a breeze compared to being a rank 1 killer. This game is definitely survivor sided, and that’s a fact. Also, since when did the Rainbow Map not let you track HEX totems? I’ve used it plenty of times for that exact purpose.
Judging by your previous responses you’re going to assume I am a ‘toxic Pig main’ - but I actually play on both sides. Reaching rank 1 on both.

I don’t agree with most of the criticism he gets though. I’ve gone against plenty of great Clown killers and I also do well as him myself. His ability to stop loops with his tonics is powerful. I honestly don’t get why so many people think he’s a lower tier killer...

I think it's just being amplified because of recent changes that make the game feel like it's getting worse. This is just another kick to older players , it feels. If they give the original exclusive holders something back as a thank you, that would be nice. But they won't, and I think that's why it feels so bad.
But the older players have had exclusive cosmetics for so long now. It’s also not fair that console players were being punished for not playing the game on Steam. The creators clearly want to create a community with this game. But that wasn’t happening. It was segregated between PC and console players. Now everybody is equal. This is a good thing moving forward. Change isn’t always easy. But sometimes is necessary. I think this is one of those instances.

I don’t see the issue. I have some of the exclusives but I’m not bothered about this. I’m not a fan of limited or exclusive offers. I don’t think it’s fair that newer fans aren’t able to obtain certain cosmetics just because they weren’t there to participate in events. And at the end of the day, it’s not that deep. It’s just clothing for a character in a game. Games are supposed to be fun and provide some escapism. Why has everything always gotta be so negative?

Gen rush isn’t an issue during every match though. Even at high ranks. I get plenty of potatoes as my teammates who just don’t do gens. If the keys are removed, shouldn’t Mori’s be removed also? And regarding the DC’s, plenty of killers also do that. So they should be punished too. What’s wrong with Adrenaline? It’s a very situational perk. It’s not guaranteed to be used and even when it is, it’s not always useful. Especially if you aren’t injured or currently being chased.
