It's mostly to stop players that already have all perks and nothing else to spend from hoarding and dropping them all on the new killer/survivor to gain a massive headstart.

I get that but you could also argue that people who hoard up 1 million BP are also gaining a head start as not everybody is at a level where they have survivors and killers maxed out and don’t have to worry about spending BP on them.

It’s rare for me to see a new survivor or killer rocking a strong loadout during the week of release. Most of them I encounter have 1 perk as they’re literally starting from scraps.

  • @supersonic853 said:

They changed their reasoning to "we dont want people maxing out new killers when they come out" okay i just save 1 million plus challenges and enough to get 150k from shrine of secrets.

How is somebody maxing out a new killer a bad thing? Considering how many killers and survivors we already have, the grind just never ends. I’ve also started saving my shards as some weeks I can buy 4 perks that I already own.

I think one of the main reasons some people get discouraged to try out new killers is because they don’t want to play at high ranks without perks and sometimes getting a decent loadout takes time. I had to get my Pyramid Head to P3 before I ever saw BBQ. For some reason it just never came up on my Bloodweb during the previous levels.

I think they have underestimated just how much time and BP have to be put into certain characters to get them to a playable level.

The silly thing is, cheaters can just bypass the cap anyway if they want to.

If that’s the case, I really don’t understand why it’s only 1 million. 1 million sounds like a lot on paper, but in this game it really isn’t. I haven’t played in a while but played most of Monday and I was able to get up to 700K before I came off. It really doesn’t take long at all before you reach the cap and it’s annoying as I’m saving up BP for Felix and Blight whilst also having other survivors and killers I’d like to level up. The endless grind gets really tiresome.

  • He’s one of my favourites to play as. Him and Michael are who I turn to when I want an easy match.

  • Survivor: Adrenaline, Babysitter and Soul Survivor.

Killer: Devour Hope, Hex: Huntress Lullaby and Save the Best for Last.

  • I’m intrigued to see how his hit boxes are now as they definitely seemed too big on the PTB. I’m hoping he’s easy to handle on console as I actually really like his aesthetic and play style.

    Felix is still a hottie and I hope I get to see him a lot in the fog...behind a tree. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

This remembered me once that I got looped to death by a meg a long time ago, he was running a perkless build.

That time, I realized that survivors don't really need them.

She performed flawlessly without perks, it was just amazing.

I mean, I got rekt by the whole team, but at the same time I was like: "Wow, props to that meg".

Obviously perks can help you out and make certain scenarios easier but you definitely don’t need them. It’s also a nice feeling knowing you survived a trial by literally using the bare minimum. I don’t tend to use exhaustion perks, so I didn’t really notice much of a difference. I was just a lot louder as I had no Iron Will lol.

  • @Veen said:

We only need a battle royale, with a lot of dance emotes, and guns, lot of guns.

    Dead By Fortnite.

  • Survivor: Spine Chill

    Killer: Pop Goes the Weasel

  • The thing is, survivors don’t actually need perks to win. I was bored recently and decided to do perkless games and I was coming out with 20-30k consistently and in most of the games I was the sole survivor. It just makes you play smarter as you can’t rely on certain perks to save you when you mess up. I actually really enjoyed it. I think the only meta perks I use are Iron Will and Spine Chill. The other 2 perk slots are normally where I experiment. I’m looking forward to using Botany Knowledge and Desperate Measures to be the team medic. 😂

With killer it just depends on who I’m playing as, as it’s fun switching up builds and trying new things to see what works and what doesn’t.

  • A similar thing happened to me yesterday against an Oni. He ran and hit inside the killer shack whilst I was nowhere near it and it made me get downed. He then proceeded to walk over to me and pick me up. I was so confused. He only had 1 hook all game and there was 1 gen left, so it made me feel like he turned on some sort of hacks to get me down as it definitely wasn’t lag or latency. 😂

IKR. I couldn't beleive it when they each said it. And these were Red Ranks. No idea on how long they'd played since PS4 doesn't show times, judging from their trophy lists, they had over 75% of the total trophies, so that was a general idea. I mean, if they think Wraith is OP, god help them when they run into an actual stronger killer!

I’ve been called OP and a ‘noob’ for winning matches as Clown, Pig and Legion. I think it actually hurts some people deep inside to give somebody else a compliment.

I guess it’s easier for them to point the finger rather than looking in the mirror.

Damn, I do pretige some characters just cause without ever using the skins, hehehe. OCD?

It is annoying. As I don’t like Jane’s P3 cosmetics for example and I never wear them. But I ‘had to’ get her to P3 so she wasn’t the odd one out. I just can’t stand my survivors looking ‘messy’ by having uneven levels. 😢

  • I prestige as I genuinely love some of the P3 cosmetics. Mostly the faces. So I like using them in my matches. The P3 Meg face is my personal favourite.

  • The grind is annoying but some of my favourite head cosmetics are the default ones, like Meg, Adam, David and Dwight. So I really wanted to have those heads with the blood on them. Now because of my OCD, I need to get every survivor to P3. Even if I have no desire of using their P3 head.

Currently saving up my BP and shards as my next survivor I want to level up is Felix. I love his P3 face.

  • I enjoy it. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t play. Can it annoy me at times? Hell yeah. But I find that with most multiplayer games. So during those instances I’ll just stop playing or switch to a single player game.

Video games either bring out the best or worse in people tbh

It’s just the internet in general. So many keyboard warriors who wouldn’t dare say what they say behind a screen to somebody’s face. The anonymity makes them feel powerful. It’s beyond pathetic.

  • ALSO... Can we please laugh at the comment about ‘busted perks’ when the entire lobby are using DS, DH and Spine Chill. SO MUCH STUPID. 😂

  • People are just such an embarrassment at times. Imagine spewing so much hatred towards somebody else because they beat you in a video game.

    Untitled Image
  • A killer can still 4K when all the gens are completed. So they hadn’t lost anything. Until every survivor leaves through an exit gate or the hatch, it’s still anybody’s game to win.

The Pyramid Head did nothing wrong. The cry baby who’d rather DC and get zero BP than just take the L on the other hand...

I play in PC and PS4 and my ghostface build is whispers dh pop and stbfl on both systems. What's the issue?

I don’t have an issue. Did you quote the wrong post?

  • Am I the only one who hasn’t noticed any frame rate drops on PS4? I’m using the Pro, so I’m not sure if it’s any different. I play killer a lot and I’ve never thought that my matches were laggy in the slightest.

Other than the fact some players have a globe next to their username, I don’t see any difference in my matches. The killers / survivors I get are no better or worse than before.

  • I very rarely see Devour Hope on PS4 and I’ve been playing for 3 years now. So you’re either exaggerating how much you’re coming across it or it’s an XBOX thing.

Either way, this whole “Console players do X” and “PC players do X” is beyond tiresome now. I’ve experienced the stuff people complain about from both console and PC players. The issue isn’t the platform. It’s the player.

For me, nothing has changed since enabling crossplay except finding matches faster. The quality of those matches are no different.

  • @Suvakita said:

i don't think Claudette would be the type of girl that would straight her hair, idk i just think it looks out of character

Isn’t that what a lot of the cosmetics are? Plus, we can’t really comment on her character because most people aren’t one-dimensional. It’s how people take issue with any Meg cosmetic that isn’t ‘sporty’ but just because she does sports doesn’t mean she only wears tracksuits. 😂

  • I can’t actually think of a single cosmetic I actively dislike, but I really hate what they did to the purple and red Claudette hair. They were my favourite on her and now they look so bad. I just don’t understand the reasoning for changing something so drastically.

  • So you basically want survivors to have no way of escaping other than having to have capable teammates that can get every gen fixed before dying? Sounds balanced.

The hatch works as intended. It’s a 50/50 for both the survivor and killer. Plus, if the killer knows where it is, they have all the power as the survivor can’t jump into it if they’re also stood waiting for it to open. The killer always gets priority.

Opening an exit gate after the hatch has been closed isn’t easy. Especially if you’re against a killer who can travel the map fast like Spirit or Billy. Plus, some of the gates literally spawn next to each other. So once that hatch is closed, it’s game over.

There are ways around this scenario. You can just keep slugging the third survivor left and look for the last one. That way none of them can get the hatch. For me, if a survivor manages to open an exit gate, I just think to myself “gg” as I just drew the short straw. It is what it is. You can’t expect to 4K every single time.

  • The easiest way is to make the killer hit you whilst they’re carrying a survivor to a hook. I personally get most of my stacks from unhooks.

  • Agitation, Iron Grasp and Mad Grit are great for getting survivors into the basement. Which is exactly where you don’t want to be against Bubba.

The fourth perk is whatever you want. I’d personally use Insidious or Territorial Imperative so you know when somebody has dared enter your sacred place. (That sounded less sexual in my head)

  • DS now stuns the killer for 59 seconds?!

    *adds to loadout*

  • These are so good. I wish I could do stuff like this on console. I hate how limited we are.

Better Together looks amazing. Is the Yoda perk Spine Chill?

  • Looks like she used Lithe and Dance With Me. The no perks thing is a bug and I see it frequently.

  • Since enabling cross-play I rarely face Spirit. I’d say that I see Pyramid Head and Nurse the most.

  • It could potentially be a good load out, but it’s all extremely situational, as it’s entirely dependent on being slugged. It definitely feels good when you get it to work though. I personally wouldn’t use Sprint Burst as assuming you’re exhausted when you get downed, unless the killer leaves you on the ground for a long time, when you stand back up you might still be exhausted.

    Maybe Tenacity instead?

  • It actually is. It was awful before; for both killers and survivors. You could have games where you’d be standing at the hatch for over 20 minutes waiting for one side to give in. Now that the killer can close the hatch, it’d make no sense for them to also be able to grab the survivor out.

  • @Angelicus23 said:

I would say the kate kate had Fixated since she was moving from places quite fast by just walking and she was still uninjured, she didn't try to do those mindgames when she was injured at the begin, it's also a very good combo with Sprintburst to save/recharge it. She got the advantage of a perk and you shouldn't rely on a perk to counter a killer since you never knoow which killer are you going to get matched with.

Also I want to point out how much Tru3 was playing the guess game and learning the kate's gameplay when he could just play agresive or didn't use the power too much, that costed him giving the kate much more distance, and he shouldn't have called his own mistakes "counterplay" since the survivors can't force killers to play like that.

She didn’t have Fixated. She had DS, Self-Care, Unbreakable and Sprint Burst.

Oh look, now he's deflecting with the whole "You'll do anything to support the toxic gameplay of killer mains" schtick. 😂

It is toxic. The killer MUST let a survivor use their DS and run towards that open exit gate.

  • We all saw the Twitch video before you deleted it. So let’s not act stupid.

  • Cool question. Why do you file false endgame reports?

  • Off the Grid:

    Dangerous situations activate something within.

Whenever you are unhooked, unhook yourself or recover from Dying State your Status Effect takes 2/4/6 seconds to change.

    Fortitude:

If you are injured and repairing a generator you will passively start to heal. After a total duration of 40/30/20 seconds, Fortitude automatically heals you from Injured to the Healthy State.

If generator progression is interrupted, Fortitude reverts to zero.

    Guardian:

You know how to keep those around you calm.

You start the trial with 3/4/5 tokens. When another survivor misses a skill check within 16 metres of you the Loud Noise Indicator is ignored and you lose a token.

    Skedaddle:

Whenever you are unhooked or unhook yourself Skedaddle activates for 60 seconds.

Whilst Skedaddle is active when starting to run, break into a sprint at 150% of your normal running speed for a maximum of 3 seconds.

Causes the Exhausted Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.

    Brother’s Keeper:

You protect your family. No matter what.

Start the trial with a 25% bonus speed to healing other survivors. Each time a survivor is hooked you gain an additional 5%.

    Out of Dodge

Knockin’ on death's door isn’t new territory for you.

When you stun the killer you leave no scratch marks for 5 seconds.

Out of Dodge has a cool-down of 60/50/40 seconds.

  • There’s already an option to kill other survivors, it’s called playing killer.

    Untitled Image
  • Michael is my main killer and I do just fine against Spine Chill. It just tells the survivor that you’re looking in their direction, they still don’t know which direction that is. I’ve found plenty of people sat with their back to me as they think I’m coming from the front.

I’ve been in lobbies with 4 survivors running it before and still got to Tier 3 multiple times. It’s obvious to tell when somebody is using it, so once I know it’s in the lobby I tend to walk sideways towards generators to stop it lighting up.

  • In terms of having fun, FT13 is the better game. It’s definitely a lot less stressful and I like that you don’t have to rely on having good teammates to win. You can literally just survive the night if you can’t get objectives done. Plus, playing Jason feels like a total breeze. You actually feel strong, especially once you’ve played the game for a while. I can’t even recall the last time I didn’t wipe out the entire lobby when playing as him.

It’s a shame that the lawsuit stopped any new content from being added into the game, as I would love to see where the game would be right now. But, it’s still a strong game as is.

legacy skins we have, instant fixes we have, better fps and overall best experience we have... It will be endless if i am continue to writing. Console players are worst and Killers hunting the PC players because of jealous

If PC players are so good, why are they hard camping / tunnelling console players? The point is, which you clearly failed to see, is that people are being target for being ‘different’. Stop acting like only console players are doing it, when I’m seeing it happening a lot in my matches from PC players.

  • I’ve noticed that PS4 players are being tunnelled and camped more by PC / XBOX players. Stop acting like PC players are receiving special treatment. As they’re not.

  • @OperationMintyHippo said:

Thank you for saying this. I was literally coming here to say this myself. It doesn't help when there's massive streamers that also just talk trash about the other platform players (i.e. Monto's latest YouTube video just constantly speaking down on console players or a player is bad so they must be console, etc). That just creates an even greater unnecessary divide.

I'm on xbox and the only difference I've noticed is I get mori'd a lot by PC players as if I'm being singled out. 🙃 but I still have the same toxic and bad teammates, survivors I got against, killers aren't that much harder. I get more nurses than before but it isn't that difficult.

The fact PC people are suddenly acting holier-than-thou is what makes me not want to play with them. As if they never had bad teammates, toxic killers, or DCs before cross platform.

I've certainly stopped watching streamers and youtubers who add to this issue.

You share pretty much all of my thoughts. I’ve seen so many Mori’s and hard camping / tunnelling since the cross play was implemented and I can tell it’s because of a player being ‘different’ - it’s just so ridiculous. I don’t get why you’d instantly want to target somebody who’s on console to try and prove a point that nobody really cares about? If I wanted to play this game on PC, then I would. I just prefer playing on PS4 and there’s nothing wrong with that.

I had a match today where I was the only PS4 player in the lobby and the killer kept trying to find me. I saw them on more than one occasion ignore other survivors as it was me they were looking for. It’s just going to cause so much unnecessary problems, as if the game wasn’t toxic enough.

Imagine sitting and complaining about que times and then when you get given something to improve them, you just act like an utter dick.

So you prefere to not talk about a topic which is absolutly relevant... just because of your ego? Ok then..

Lets not talk about Console Megs you have in every second game that use urban across the other side of the map while you just got hooked by the killer? Imagine they read this and adapt their playstyle.

Lets not talk about terrible console killer who are absolutly boosted in rank. Imagine they might adapt and actually become good at the game. Or even worse BHVR might improve the ranking system.

Lets not talk about FPS problems for console, better stick with the 30FPS because apparently it is no issue anymore.

Lets not talk about the amazing controle for killer, because imagine BHVR might improve it.

What are you even talking about? Everything you said can be applied to PC players as well, so what exactly was the point you failed to make? Are you telling me you don’t get useless teammates and ‘boosted’ killers on PC? Because I’m certain you do. Stop acting like being a PC player makes you better as it doesn’t.

This is the exact type of elitist mindset I was talking about in my OP. It’s nothing to do with my ego. Yours however? Seems questionable to me.
