The best thing you can do with people like this is to ignore them and move onto another game. It’s the same reason I turned off my PS4 messages. They get a kick out of sending abuse, taking that away from them is what annoys them the most. A response is what they want. Just remember that.
-
Genrushing isn’t a thing. It’s a survivors objective to do the gens. That’s like a killer being accused of ‘killrushing’ - it’s just a nonsensical way to cry about losing a game.

PC elitists will never stop making things up to make them feel superior to other platforms. Might as well just ignore them.
At the end of the day everyone playing on the highest level will see there's 0% difference when it comes to platforms ESPECIALLY in a game like DBD.
I've already seen a Legacy Dwight die to a baby Bubba (who couldn't time his charges and thus ended up M1-ing me) in seconds. At the same time I know there's just as many potatoes with fancy skins on console.
Bad/good players will be bad/good regardless of their platform.
Exactly. It’s just beyond childish at this point. Online gaming just gives too many people a superiority complex. This is just adding new insults into the mix because if you lose a match it’s instantly because of the platform you were playing on.
-
I’m actually experiencing the OPPOSITE. Almost every PC killer I faced last night hard camped and tunnelled every console player in the lobby. Which makes me think it’s some sort of stupid “PC VS Console” war. 🤦🏻♂️
-
It looks like a Werewolf which makes me think it isn’t. There’s so many things they could show to tease a Werewolf without being that obvious about it.
-
So far I’ve been finding the PC players are more likely to die first or DC. But that’s just from my own experience. It could be because of rank reset, but I was expecting to notice a difference with their gameplay but so far I haven’t.
Ps4 oP pLeAsE nErF

So far I’ve noticed that the PC survivors die or DC more than console players which I wasn’t expecting. I was prepared for some really sweaty matches but I’ve not noticed a difference in difficulty. I guess potatoes are on every platform.
I can also tell the difference between console and PC because of the usernames / how they’re stylised.

But for a PS4 player like myself, I can’t tell the difference between an Xbox player and a PC player.

There’s no actual tip for avoiding teabaggers because there’s nothing you can do to stop it. People will teabag for any reason nowadays. Regarding the toxic chat, I play on console so I can prevent people from messaging me. I’m pretty sure if you’re on PC there’s a way to disable the chat or you can just leave before people start typing.

Yeah, I play a little differently: I let people go. If there's no obsession, survivors are way less cocky and rarely sit on gens next to their recently-vacated hook. So I've got no real reason to chase them most of the time, they're off looking for a heal. Makes the game nicer, you know? Plus, it's hilarious when someone tries to bluff a locker DS. I mean, the correct play is almost always to rip them out of the locker and eat the DS so it can't get you later, but it's even funnier when they immediately DC or suicide. Sad and petty, to be sure, but funny.
As survivor, literally nothing changes for me. I never abuse, or even USE, DS since I so rarely get properly tunelled and I don't believe in 59 second DS's as being fair in any way, even if you weren't being a prick about it. I also get a lot of people saying I should run it so I don't get farmed, but that's the farmers fault, not mine. I don't see why I should punish the killer for it. I'd rather avoid getting hooked in the first place, through stealth and long chases, and I don't get cocky. Or, rather, when I do get cocky I freely admit it was my own fault.
You share a lot of the same stances as me. I can’t say I’ve ever gotten much use out of DS as I don’t use it for the sake of using it, such as jumping into a locker to make a killer grab me and my play style consists of trying not to be downed at all. So why bother using a perk that only activates after me being hooked? It just makes no sense. If I’m unlucky and get hooked first and tunnelled, it just is what it is. I just find situational perks pretty boring. I want to use perks I’ll be able to use in every game.

It’s happening today?!

I hate Bond because every teammate I've had that runs it will run the killer to/around you while you're trying to work on a gen. It won't even be their 3rd hook, will be first hook of the entire match. And they'll keep doing it through out the match.
Kindred if I run it will be to help me in saving people on the hook but it's never helped me while on the hook. I either get people that rush the hook without BT to save in front of the killer even though they could see the killer was still in area or I get left there until just before I die (or do die) because no one is making a move to the hook.
Sometimes with Bond it can be difficult. As I’ve had it before where I’m running to a certain location to loop the killer and then I realise another teammate is there on a gen. But it’s too late for me to turn around and I have to keep heading towards them. To that player it could look like I intentionally used Bond to lead the killer to them, but it wasn’t the case.
-
There’s also a slug build for survivors too. You just run Tenacity and you become an actual slug. Enjoy and happy crawling!
-
Self-Care + Botany Knowledge is actually good for you AND the team. There’s nothing wrong with the perk, it’s just how some people choose to use it. Not everybody who uses it will sit in the corner of the map, but it can come in handy if you don’t have a med-kit, the killer has FD, or if you need to go for the save with a proxy camping killer and there’s no way else to get healed. Being able to get an unhook and take a hit can make all the difference between you losing and winning a game.
It’s rare for me to use Self-Care, as I love using Resilience so my builds normally come into play once I’m injured, but I’ll never feel ‘ashamed’ if I choose to use it, as I know I’ll still be a good teammate regardless of my perks.
-
When I’m trying to show survivors I’m being friendly that’s what I’ll do. Or I’ll hit in the direction of a generator and keep nodding at them. It can sometimes be a trap though. I’ve had plenty of farming killers who ended up killing me and they just tricked me into a false sense of security. So I’m always a little on edge now as you just never know. 😂

ITT : survivor mains and self sufficient rank 15 killers explain to a rank 1 streamer with 4k hours how they would have played better than him against tournament team.
I mean, I’m consistently a rank 1 survivor and a rank 1 killer and it’s been that way for almost 3 years now. Also please don’t try to insinuate that hours spent = skill level as it really doesn’t. You could play all day, every day and still not get any better. Just the same way people can try to learn to play an instrument and some people either ‘get it’ or they don’t.
Just because True streams DBD as his job doesn’t mean he isn’t open to criticism. Nobody is perfect and he fumbled this match. Was he against a competent team? He sure was. Did he make it easier and give up? He sure did.
I’ll always give credit where it’s due and I have nothing against True. Why would I? I’ve never met the guy and my only knowledge of him is from the videos posted on these forums. But in my opinion he should have left this video in the vault. As he’s tying to use it to push an agenda which is “You need Spirit to beat teams like this” when in reality the video is “Watch me mess up and make a match easier for a SWF”

Also the problem is with the aura reading one you need a bell silencer addon or else its kinda useless as wraith is meant to ambush survivors with those 2.
I personally pair it with the add-on that makes him move faster and do just fine with it. For me, the strength comes from knowing exactly what survivors are doing and being able to patrol gens without having to really ‘look’ for people hiding nearby. I rarely play Wraith as I don’t have a lot of good perks on him. But I’ve won against 4-man teams when using that add-on as I just find it very strong. This whole video wasn’t a good example as True makes so many errors and gives up. He literally spends the entire match talking about Spirit nerfs and how he isn’t having fun. I watched the entire video and at no point did I think “that was unavoidable” he just made a series of mistakes and created no pressure.
To reply to your edited message, I don’t think Spirit needs any nerfs. I run Spine Chill a lot though, so I don’t have any problem with her. I don’t think she’s as good as people say she is as I constantly see her being destroyed in matches. Again, it’s the player that’s good. Not the killer. No killer hands somebody a free win.

Nurses Has double the range at 24 meters.
I know. But it’s still a waste of a perk slot. If I’m using an add-on that comes with aura reading abilities, I don’t see the point in using it. The range is smaller but the benefits are greater as it’s not only limited to people being healed.

Another problem is like he says in the comments against godly survivor teams you need to have like the best build or a "high tier" killer but its to hard for survivors to run iron will against spirit which is literally a decent perk on its own anyway?

As I said earlier in the thread, this is just an agenda that needs to stop. Why am I and plenty of other players able to beat teams like this as Michael or Deathslinger? I also have plenty of hours in this game and I’ve gone against a lot of teams like the ones in the video. I never once thought to myself “I wish I was playing as Spirit.” As I personally don’t like playing as her. When I want an ‘easy’ match I’ll play as Michael as for me, he’s the best killer in the game as he’s who I am most comfortable with. It’s a player issue. Not a killer one.
I don’t get why he brought up Nurses either when he’s using an add-on that lets you see auras? Wouldn’t Nurses with those add-ons be completely useless?

They did have spine chill so idk if it completly ruins the point of all seeing though.
They didn’t all have Spine Chill and it can still be a counter to it as all Spine Chill does is let you know the killer is looking at you. You being able to actually see their aura makes it easier for you. Plus, once you know somebody has it, you just moonwalk.
I’m not trying to claim that a good SWF aren’t harder to face than a team of randoms, because obviously they are. But if you watch the match properly he just spent it complaining without actually trying to do anything. You can tell he just gave up by the way he just walked into pallet stuns.
Did the survivors play strong? They did. But did True fumble a lot of stuff and make it easier on them? He sure did. If he would have timed his hit on Dwight better and potentially downed him, he could have started to build momentum. But he just had zero pressure throughout the game and we all know once that happens if you have competent survivors the gens are going to get done fast.
-
He was using the “All Seeing” add-on which gives the Wraith a huge advantage as being able to see peoples auras is incredibly strong. Whenever I use that add-on I always win. As I just don’t see how survivors are supposed to play against it unless you just really drop the ball (like when he missed his first hit on Dwight and then left him alone) he just created no pressure which is why he lost the match.
I’ve faced plenty of teams like the one in the match above and I’ve beaten them as Michael or Deathslinger. I’ve also lost some. It just depends on different variables. I wouldn’t say you have to play as Spirit to be able to beat them. As I know from my own experience that isn’t factual.
We need to stop pushing this whole “Spirit and Billy are the only viable killers at red ranks” - then why am I able to consistently 4K as other killers? They may be EASIER to play as, but it all comes down to the player.
-
This isn’t a SWF issue, it’s a player issue. I’ve received messages like this from solo players too. Whenever I play with friends we don’t send abuse if we lose, we also don’t go out of our way to make the killer have a bad time. It’s just nice being able to play together and know we can rely on each other to get objectives done.
I actually don’t understand how people get this angry over a game. It’s actually scary to me that people can wish such evil things on a stranger because they got beat.
I lost a match to a Billy last night (I was playing solo) and after the match he messaged me GG as I put up some really long chases and I replied telling him how much fun I had and how good he was as Billy. Not everybody is a complete dick on this game and can give credit where it’s due. Unfortunately I’m probably in a small percentage. Online gaming just attracts hateful people.
-
I really want a cool and almost punk-rock black female. Basically the polar opposite of Claudette. Fox was one of my favourite characters to play as in the FT13 game as she was so badass. I’d love to get a similar character.
I feel like whenever we get that type of character it’s always somebody who’s white (Nea, Jeff) so let’s shake things up.

LMAO. Yeah P3 looks nice enough, but to get the likeness of the actor would be cool. His hair is awful. It’s poker straight & looks like straw, whereas in the movie it’s more curly &...healthier lolol
I’m just not sure where it was said that the face rework would never happen 🤔 Seems like an odd thing to say after they reached out to Kyle Gallner to make changes.
His hair is the worst part. Laurie and default Feng have the same issue where it looks really thin and almost transparent at the ends. I’m assuming they will look better once the graphics update drops. Also, I’ve seen people speculating about a Quentin rework as DBD have been posting some hints recently.
https://youtu.be/MCOB27NcRLAHere’s a video about it from 6 days ago.
Let’s form a prayer circle and get ready for new ANOES content. 😭
-
It’s always the right time to ask for Miguel and Laurie Strudel cosmetics.
Jamie Lee Curtis actually played as herself in DBD in 2018 in a Twitch stream, so she must be okay with her character being in the game. I’m assuming it’s an issue with the studio as to why ‘our’ Laurie doesn’t have her resemblance / more cosmetics.

If there's no obsession I won't go out of my way to quickly remove a player out of the game at 5 gens. But if there's 1 or 2 gens left and no one has died, then it sure won't stop me from removing a survivor out of the quickly at that point.
I think at that point it’s completely understandable why you’d want somebody out of the game. From my own experience I’ve just witnessed more people being hard tunnelled at the start of matches when there’s no Obsession. Sometimes it is the survivors fault for unhooking straight in front of the killer, but in those scenarios I like to punish the person doing the unhooking for being such a bad teammate lol.
I personally don’t run DS as it’s just not for me. If I get tunnelled, I just take the loss and move on. But I play in a way that I’m normally the last person hooked or not hooked at all, so I’d rather use other stuff.
It does make me laugh when I get slugged though. Every killer is on edge when there’s an Obsession. I also feel like it’s always me who gets slugged as well, although I’m never the one actually with DS. Oh well. Works for me. 😂
-
I’m not sure why people want a rework as he looks exactly how he does in the movie...
All joking aside, I actually love the way he looks when he’s P3 as it makes his face look better but I wouldn’t be against him being remodelled. I know the actor reached out to the developers and then we haven’t heard anything since. It could potentially be coming with the graphics update?

I’ve come to the conclusion that many people, when they reach red ranks, just hand the game over to their kid siblings for a few hours to help them de-rank.
It’s a win-win. Kid has fun and you’re seen as the cool guy for sharing your game. And then when you play again, you’re below the threshold of the every-match-sweat-fest!
It’s funny you say this as me and my friend joked about this last night. We were certain we were against a rank 20 killer because of the MMR but when the match ended it was a rank 1 and I just don’t believe it for one second. Somebody else was definitely on their account lol.

It’s definitely a lot harder to get the killer ones, especially for Nurse. *cries in console*
For Wraith, I’d recommend using his “All Seeing” add-on as that’s how I got my trophy. Being able to see survivors auras just made it a lot easier to get the downs and if you have a Hawkins offering, throw that on too!

I think he's the largest survivor and he's also one of the loudest. You pretty much only see people who are good at running play him and to be honest there's not many of those players who are cocky and good enough to do that all game as Ash.
If I P3 Level 50 another survivor it's probably going to be Ash. Right now it's Ace and the main thing is as a killer player primarily it's really not worth leveling up survivors past 40 or even multiple survivors. Absolutely no point unless you want bloody clothes. I'd imagine most people just stuck with their mains instead of switching to Ash. That's at least how I know I am. If I didn't max out Ace I definitely would have Ash.
He is definitely loud. But he just makes me laugh so much. I find the noises he makes hilarious. I don’t have a problem with having to loop killers so his size and sound have never bothered me. This is the same reason I also play Jeff a lot.
My mains are Meg and David but I go through phases of wanting to play every character. I’ve got 90% of the roster at P3. My eventual goal is to have them all P3. But I can see why most people don’t bother. I think it’s mostly an OCD thing with me. 😂
-
I definitely love running Kindred now that it’s been buffed but I certainly have games where I wish I hadn’t bothered to use it.
I remember in one game I was on a hook and 1 survivor was CLEARLY being chased by their erratic movements, constant vaulting and throwing down pallets. What did the other 2 survivors do? Both sit on separate generators on the opposite side of the map leaving me to go to struggle on my first hook. So out of spite I waited for one of them to eventually come to get me and then let go of struggle in their face. Felt good. 😂

I would definitely love more cosmetics for Ash. He’s one of my favourites and it sucks that you rarely see survivors playing as him. I’m not sure why, as he’s such a cool dude. But maybe I’m biased as I’m an Evil Dead fan? 😂
I know it was probably down to licensing but not having a cabin map was such an oversight. That’s one of the most iconic horror movie settings. I know we have Red Forest, but it’s not the same.

ya pretty much nailed it. One thing to also point out is that he is horribly inconsistent, a rotation of a simple tile can be the difference between a down and nothing. With slinger you have to live with these and it's what I assume is driving people from not playing him.
The thing I struggle with the most is the dedicated servers. I have so many shots that land perfectly on a survivor but apparently I was shooting at Casper as it just goes right through them.
I just find it so satisfying seeing a gun as your weapon. It makes me feel like I’m playing a different game.
-
Playing both sides made me a stronger player. It gives you more insight into how a survivor / killer will react to certain scenarios, which makes it easier to predict / counter their next move.
I used to be a survivor main when I first started playing as I found the idea of being hunted more thrilling than being the hunter. Playing as a survivor is the scarier role and that’s what I wanted.
I now play both sides and it depends on my mood / tiredness level on which side I play more that day.
-
Deathslinger? A man of culture I see.
-
Or maybe we can let people use whatever perks they want without shaming? I know it’s probably a foreign concept to most of you. But just run with it.
-
@Leachy_Jr said:
The people who say slinger takes no skill are the same type of people who think spirit is just a pair of headphones.
Play slinger, come back when you've 4ked against a good squad and tell me and all the other slinger mains he don't take skill.
I rarely face decent Deathslingers. 90% of them consistently miss their shots and have to spend the majority of the match being a basic M1 killer. If he was so easy to use, why do so many people struggle? And why don’t we see him more often? It’s rare for me to face him on console.
He’s one of my favourite killers to play as because I love FPS and I’m good with my aim. None of my wins are handed to me. I have to earn them.
-
So the entire game? Noted.
-
This is why we have an endless loop of toxicity on both sides. Survivors are toxic so the killer decides to take it out on every other survivor they face, even if they’re solely doing objectives. A killer is toxic, which makes survivors start doing everything they can to annoy future killers and be a nuisance.
You shouldn’t let one incident change the way you play the game. I’ve experienced plenty of ‘scummy’ behaviour from both sides but I’ve also experienced just as much if not more goodness. I know the bad experiences often linger with people longer, but if you let them, you’re just giving the trolls what they want. Not only have they ruined your current game, but they’ve ruined future ones. As you’re approaching them all with a negative mindset.
-
I’m not crying it’s just allergies.

Thanks for the response.
I reported both the Bill and the Demogorgon with the ‘grief’ option. You can also see me doing that in the video as I kept that part in. I’ll upload it to YouTube and submit it now. :)

No Mither + Iron Will + Resilience + Spine Chill is one of my favourites to use. Except for when I load into a match and it’s an Oni with Thana. 😂
I don’t really have any guilty pleasure builds on my killers as I tend to run the generic stuff like PGTW and M&A.
-
It’s something I’ve seen happening since the latest update. It’s like the screen freezes for a split second, but like you said, whenever somebody is struggling on a hook during this time they will automatically die.
-
Myers is my favourite killer in the game but I wouldn’t be against him getting a slight rework. He’s still a lot of fun to play as, but it can be annoying how slow he is during Tier 1 and don’t even get me started on his nonexistent lunge.
He stands out more now because of Ghostface. He can do what Myers can do, only a lot faster.

To be fair. Jane's Day of the Dead glowy skin had itself lesser glowy. So it may be not a bug issue. It's been unglowy for awhile.
I wonder if it was affecting gameplay? It might have been causing frame drops. I’ve never used the Jane or Legion cosmetics as I don’t like them, but the fact they were ‘interactive’ might have been causing issues?
Still, it’s strange to just change something people have paid for without telling them why.

I really wish people would stop ignoring streamers as examples of why things should be buffed / nerfed. Who else is going to have video footage of a problem in action? Most likely a streamer. Stop acting like someone who plays this game for literally their job and has 5k+ hours is trash at the game and stop using logical fallacies to ignore the arguments proposed. To pretend that true wouldn't wreck your ass in a game is stupid, you know he would destroy you.
I understand not taking everything they say as gospel, but the opposite problem is exactly what you are doing, you can't completely ignore them either just because their a popular streamer you don't like.
I never said they were trash? I said there will be plenty of people who play this game that are better than them that don’t stream, which is only the truth. I also didn’t say that them showcasing problems in action was a bad thing either, so I’m not sure which post of mine you read. My issue is with the way people blindly follow whatever streamers say. Not everything they say is a fact, which is why some streamers have different opinions on the same topics, that’s what makes them, ya know, AN OPINION.
And you literally know nothing about me or my gameplay, but think what you want. How do you know he would ‘destroy’ me and how do you know I couldn’t ‘destroy’ him back? I know people who have played this game for hours and hours and they still aren’t good players. Hours played doesn’t always mean that somebody is necessarily improving as time goes by.
I also never claimed to dislike True or say to ignore everything he says? So I suggest stretching next time as that entire reply was quite the reach.
