I'd actually really love NOA and LG to make it into the game. I think they'd make great perks. Good counter to Iron Grasp and BBQ&C.
-
I actually really love all of the survivors and my goal is to get everybody to P3, but if I had to choose my top 5 it'd be...
- Meg
- David
- Laurie
- Nea
- Jake
-
Since we've been getting cosmetics, I actually don't dislike any survivor anymore. As I either 1) liked their default look or 2) like one of their cosmetic looks, but if we're talking about default looks. I never used to like Ace, Dwight or Claudette...
-
Evasive Stealth - Problematic
Counter Strike - VERY Problematic
Strength & Courage - I actually like this one. It's similar to the upcoming Ash perk, but different enough that it could still be added to the game.
-
I'm so stubborn. I just stand there covered in crows looking like the pigeon lady from Home Alone 2. I just go on my phone and watch YouTube videos until the killer finally decides to back up or hit me once. 😂
-
@inutilem Seems as though what you're getting post-patch is what I was getting pre-patch. So that's really strange. Hopefully it starts running more smoothly for you soon!
-
It's annoying when you're left on a hook because somebody is just waiting for you to die to get the hatch, but that's just how the game is. Not everybody plays altruistic and not knowing how your team is going to play is part of the fun I suppose. If they removed the hatch, they'd have to start putting a time limit on matches but then this would just become another Friday the 13th. The hatch has to stay to give that last survivor a way out. Otherwise matches could last hours depending on how stealthy / stubborn that last survivor was.
-
@inutilem It's been really good for me. I normally find matches fast, but since the last event PS4 has been awful. Normally only SWF lobbies were slow for me, but I was even finding the solo lobbies took ages to find a game and then when I did find one, it had red ping and I had to back out and restart the whole process again. Since the patch dropped on Tuesday I've been finding matches within seconds again. So I'm not sure what's happening with PC?
-
There's no way to tell if somebody disconnected out of salt or because they genuinely had to leave. So it'll be difficult to come up with a fair 'punishment' for people that do it. If a system is implemented, it should only effect people who excessively disconnect. Maybe have a daily limit, and if you exceed it you face the consequences.
-
I've noticed that since the patch I'm finding matches really fast on PS4. My timer constantly says I have only a 1 minute wait, which is nothing. It was taking far too long to find matches during the last event, so I'm personally really happy with how things are running at the minute. I had no idea this change was effecting people negatively. Also I'm talking about when I play as BOTH survivor and killer. It's never a long wait on my end...
-
Mettle of Man only really seems useful as an end game perk. So for me, it's very situational. Using it mid-match would be pretty useless considering you'll just be tracked down again with ease because of your visible aura. I'm excited for Ash, but I think I'll pass on his perks. 😂
-
Corrupt Purge is so useful. I normally hit a survivor once with the basic attack and then finish them off with it. It comes in really handy when they vault over a wall / pallet. They just always seem to forget that you can cause damage with it.

New killer literally gives out free instaheals all around the map, and is easily loopable
"OP PLZ NERF"
Seriously though. I actually feel sorry for the people having to learn how to play as the Plague. She’s gonna get seriously trolled by some players! Lol.
-
I swear the term OP is being overused and misused. Instead of taking the time to learn how to counter play a new killer people just scream NEEEEEERF! It’s ridiculous.

Question did you get your name from the meg and dia song?
@HeroLives I did! You’re the first person to catch that. That’s my Twitter and PSN name. I’ve also made a Twitch with it so that I’ve got it prepared for when I start streaming.
-
@pemberley I'll give it a go tonight. I would switch-out Urban Evasion for it, but I just know I'll do that and end up in a Hag match. So looks like Self-Care has to go. 😂
-
I find being chased to be more fun than doing the chasing. I can enjoy playing both roles, but Survivor is where it's at for me.
-
@LCGaster Fair enough. I just really love being in Myers matches. I also find killers like The Pig and Wraith fun to go against as knowing they can activate stealth keeps you on edge. Which is what I want from a game like this.
-
@pemberley Is Lightweight worth trying out then? I was using Iron Will, Self-Care, Urban Evasion and Quick & Quiet on my Meg last night and I was tempted to switch out Self-Care for Lightweight, but wasn't sure how useful it was...
-
Bond: Being able to see your teammates auras can help when one of them is being chased within your terror radius. It also comes in handy when somebody is injured and you want to go and heal / help them.
Iron Will: Helps during chases. It isn't necessary to have during chases and I've escaped plenty of chases without it, however, it really comes in useful when the killer comes straight back to your hook as normally they assume you've ran off and try to track down your cries of pain, so you can literally sit near the hook and not worry about being knocked down again. Also helps when you want to unhook another survivor but are injured, you don't need to worry about healing up first if the killer is within a close proximity of the hook.
Urban Evasion: I love being able to sneak around fast, this paired with Iron Will can be such a life saver. Especially if you need to sneak around an obstacle whilst the killer is patrolling your area. This has helped me to remain out of sight plenty of times and I notice a big difference when I don't use it. Also THE HAG.
Self-Care: Do I need to explain this one?

Myers.
You obviously have impeccable taste.

Lag maybe?
If blinding the killer is supposed to guarantee that the survivor is dropped, then it must be lag or possibly a glitch. As I feel like it's happened in matches where I have green ping.

@Orion said:
If you do it before the pick-up animation ends, it won't work.
See this is what confuses me. As I've done it long after the pick-up animation has ended, it can be when the killer is actually walking with the survivor on their backs. And it says that I've blinded them but then they just carry on walking and get the hook.
-
I'm consistently a rank 1 survivor and I find Freddy matches a lot to be honest. I don't think he's weak as hell at all. I don't get why people think he is. 🤦♂️
-
Doctor and Freddy are definitely the most annoying. Matches against them just aren't fun at all. More-so with the Doctor.

The idea is to use it as a mind-gaming perk to avoid getting in the killer's TR in the first place. Besides, you can always just loop and delay getting caught.
But if you just happen to look in the killers direction whilst they're looking into yours, it's pretty much game over. Especially against Billy as he'll be in your terror radius within seconds. I honestly think this perk is already very risky and I hardly see anybody use it. I just don't see the point of reworking it. It isn't needed.

It's meant to add a level of risk to the perk.
There's a difference between adding a level of risk and making a perk completely useless. No Mither adds risk as you're constantly open to being one-hit downed, but a change like this would just be ridiculous and I don't understand why anybody would ever use it. Unless the killer was seriously lacking in the brain department, how could you ever successfully escape a chase? They'd literally see you wherever you went.
ALSO TO ADD: How is this perk not already risky? The killer can see your aura too?
-

It's obviously a troll comment.
Possible rework:
Your aura is revealed to the killer at all times while you're within their TR. The killer's aura is only revealed to you if you're both looking in the other's direction and while you're outside the killer's TR. This introduces counterplay to the perk and carries an actual risk.
"Your aura is revealed to the killer at all times while you're within their TR"
In what world would that be a fair change?! 😂
-
I've been using this perk recently whilst trying to get the Adept Laurie trophy, and I kept being in Hillbilly matches and I didn't find it a fun perk at all. It seems useful against some killers, but it's far too situational. Being healed and accidentally putting your camera on Billy whilst he's looking right in your direction is a death sentence. 😂
-
It shouldn’t be called camping when the killer clearly knows there’s other survivors really close by to the hook. In those situations, I get more annoyed at my team, as they should be trying to lure the killer AWAY from the hook.
-
@NoShinyPony @pungent_stench you guys are life savers! I had no idea it was something I was activating myself! Haha. I’ve never had my screen go completely blank before though. What happened to me today as Laurie was something completely new. I hate having to disconnect from matches, but what could I do?
-
@Orion I loaded in with inverted cameras. I don’t think it was something I did. Don’t think that’s possible on console.

Why do you think this belongs in General Discussions instead of the tech support/bug report board?
@sulaiman I didn’t even realise there was a section for that if I’m being completely honest. I haven’t been posting on here long. But thanks for letting me know about that section in the most passive-aggressive way possible. Appreciated. 💙
-
@fluffybunny Was this pallet stun against a Leatherface? Because this happened in my match last night. So maybe I was in your lobby?
-
I really miss how the BNP used to operate. I can see why it was seen as OP though, especially if a party of SWF all had one, that must have been annoying as hell for the killer. I think they should have kept them how they were, but just made them a lot harder to find.
-
I only use Adrenaline when I haven't unlocked Self-Care yet for the survivor I'm playing as. I feel like when going against Level 1 killers, it's normally a hatch escape, so Adrenaline essentially becomes a useless perk because not all of the gens have been powered.
-
I've always wondered this myself. It just makes no sense why a killer would want to thicken the mist and why a survivor would want to lessen it. I'm intrigued to see if anybody does do this and their reasoning behind it, as maybe we're missing something... lol
-
I normally spin in a circle to tell people that it IS safe. I would just lie still if the killer was camping my downed body. Also I sometimes raise my hands out of boredom, not to alert my team that the killer is nearby. 😂
-
I don't mind being healed, however I wish you had to accept somebody's request to start healing you. As i've had moments where the killer has A Nurse's Calling and i'm running Iron Will, so I'm laying low and waiting for it to be safe but a survivor starts healing and reveals my aura to the killer. Moments like that can be really frustrating. And I know you can gesture to get the survivor off of you, but sometimes it's too late by that point...
-
@DudeDelicious I'm glad to see somebody who feels the same way I do. I know survivors can fail a self-care skill check to wake up, but that just alerts you to their location and they're normally found again unless they're running Iron Will. Whenever I've played as Freddy, i've found the matches to be pretty one-sided. I notice a lot of people seem to DC against him though. So I don't play him much.
-
I sometimes wait in the exit gate, but I only do this if the killer has been a camper / tunneller, so they deserve to see me teabag as I make my exit. Or, I wait to make sure none of the team get downed, as I actually prefer dying to save somebody else. I don't like being that person that just runs out of the exit and leaves a guy on the hook. I'm about that altruistic life! 😎😂
-
I've grown to love all of the survivors. But Meg and David are my mains. 💙
-
People can play however they choose to play, but I personally don't tunnel and it annoys me when other killers do. I've literally sat in front of killers before to block them from tunneling and they've refused to hit me, as they're just so fixated with wanting to down the survivor who's just been unhooked. I am literally giving them the opportunity to down and hook me but they refuse to take it. I just don't understand game play like that. I find it embarrassing.

I think my only issue with it being based on range, is how would it be any different to Bond? That's why I think it should be unlimited range, and each tier effects how many survivors see your aura.
-
It's funny you say this, as it happened to me last night.
I was trying to get 'Adept Laurie Strode' and just as I was about 70% done with opening an exit gate the game crashed as the person playing as The Huntress disconnected. She didn't get a single down the entire match, but nobody was being a troll and I was in a lobby with randoms. What's funny is she kept seeing my aura because of 'Object of Obsession' yet she couldn't ever seem to down me, even with Laurie being the loudest injured character in the game. She just had no reason to disconnect. We won fair and square.
-
I actually do. Every time I reach 2,000 shards I go straight to the shrine. 😂
-
I don't play killer much, but I personally wouldn't tunnel. Even if the survivor get's unhooked right in front of me, I don't think they should be punished for their teammate being such an idiot.
Seeing gameplay like that just makes me want to hunt down and punish the person that did the unhooking. I've only ever camped / tunnelled when I'm against a survivor who's deliberately trying to troll me.
