I just suck at beginning trying to find people and when I do a gen is almost done even with ruin . Any suggestions how to play him ? Should I crouch in beginning ?

I enter stealth as soon as the match starts and also crouch. And then I just sneak around the gens looking for people. Also if people look at you and reveal you they give their location away. So it’s pretty easy finding people as him. You just need to know the best ways to play him. He’s became my favourite killer in the game. He’s honestly a beast. Just don’t bother trying to actually stalk people. It’s a waste of time and a mistake far too many people make. His stealth and ability to crouch are what make him so scary to go against. Especially when you have BBQ and Nurses.

  • No reloading and infinite bottles? Is... is that a joke? 😂

  • Oh I know you CAN'T do it. I was asking the Devs to make it possible for us to be able to get rid of them.

  • Another good tactic is to try and push survivors into working on certain gens. Because when they get stuck with 1 gen left to do and they're all close by. This is when their gen rushing comes back to bite them in the ass. I've gotten so many 4K matches by letting people gen rush me on gens I wanted them to work on. Makes it a lot easier to patrol the last remaining ones when they're close together. And having Pop Goes the Weasel really comes into play then.

  • Another build I love on my Ghostface is Ruin, Pop Goes the Weasel, Nurses Calling & BBQ. This build allows you to slow down gens and also track down survivors easier. Paired with his stealth ability, it's a really strong build to use. Give it a try. :)

  • I would definitely be on board with this! Not sure if you've seen it, but in Teen Wolf they had their own version of Oni and they were so creepy. I loved them. If you haven't watched, check out clips of them on YouTube. They were really cool.

  • I was coming in here to recommend that same build. I personally find it really powerful. Ghostface is a beast if you don't try to stalk and just use his stealth abilities for surprise attacks.

  • That's what I thought. So if I buy levels, I can unlock the higher tier stuff (like Davids new vest top) without actually having to do the work? If so, how do I unlock levels? As when I looked I had the option to unlock things with the points I had earned so far or buy the pass. I just didn't want to buy the pass yet, if I couldn't actually unlock any of the cosmetics I actually wanted. The new David vest must be mine! 😂

  • You're entitled to your own opinion, but it's not always as simple as bringing in a Med-Kit. Especially when perks like Franklin's Demise exist. I don't run Self-Care on all of my builds, as I normally switch it out for Bond or Adrenaline, but there have been plenty of times where I wished I had it. Like when 2 people are dead and somebody is on a hook, and you're injured and can't get the save as the killer is proxy camping. It's definitely not a useless perk. Especially paired up with Botany Knowledge.

  • I wouldn’t mind small changes, but I don’t want anything that changes their gameplay.

  • @Mc_Harty He’s so good now. Him being able to teleport to gens is so useful. He just feels like a really viable killer. I’m very impressed.

  • Pig, Michael and Legion.

    1. Iron Will, Bond, Self-Care & Urban Evasion
    2. Iron Will, Bond, Borrowed Time & We’ll Make It
    3. Iron Will, Quick & Quiet, Lithe & Dance With Me
  • No indeed, absolutely not, most certainly not, of course not, under no circumstances, by no means, not at all, negative, never, not really, no thanks.

  • @Aven_Fallen That’s the thing, I was having consistently good matches last night though. These were the 2 matches I had prior to the one in the main post...

With 2 Iridescent and 2 Gold Emblems you nearly double-pipped. There is no way you should have been depipped.

@Aven_Fallen That’s what I thought. But I definitely lost a pip. Just done my first match of the day and did worse than I did yesterday but I have now gone back up to rank 1. It must just be bugged.

  • @feechima I’ll have to listen out for Jane when I next encounter her when I’m playing as killer. I feel like nobody ever plays her anymore, so it’s so rare for her to be in my lobby. I actually like the new survivors fall sounds. They make me laugh. 😂

  • I’m actually shocked in the best way possible. I’ve wanted to be a Bill main for so long.

I agree with you, but tell me, how often did you face a salty killer because they got bullied before by another team?

You may play the game for fun, but I am pretty sure you and your friends fell victims of some killer bias towards SWFs.

But how can you possibly know why a killer is playing the way they are playing? Again, you're just ASSUMING it's because they encountered a team of tryhards before your match, but that isn't always the case. Some people just like to tunnel / camp as that's their play style, nothing made them do it.

  • See, I don't see many people playing as Jeff when I'm the killer, so I can't comment on his breathing. I just know that in this particular lobby it was only the Meg I could hear breathing, the other survivors seemed silent.

  • @Spicybarbecue said:

Swf isn't fun, not in any reality.

too easy as a survivor (auto win)

    not fun as killer.

you want to know the real reason ppl play in swf groups, because they want to gang up on one person.

that's right, the real reason you want to play in a SWF group is cause you are a bully, no other reason

I'm sorry but, what a ridiculous thing to say.

I play with my friend because I enjoy the experience of playing this game with my friend. Nothing more, nothing less. We don't play to 'bully the killer' - so you can keep those assumptions to yourself.

9/10 I don't even see my friend in a match as she always seems to be on the opposite side of the map to me.

almost everything could be abused via SWF, mate

@invira_zero Yeah I know, but this would be ridiculously overpowered.

  • @wichael_wyers said:

Would also be awesome if when the killer checks the gen, the gen looks like it was never worked on. That or make it affect gates, too. Maybe those red lights on the gate don't light up for awhile. The noise to open a gate is quieter/gone and the beeping of the gate is quieter/gone.

I think this could be abused, especially if a whole SWF were using it as you could waste so much time going and checking gens that looked fully regressed to make sure that they aren’t actually being worked on. I think the complete sound reduction of them being worked on would be a welcomed changed though.

I feel like that's not a problem with ghost face and his kit like @Mushwin experienced and more of a problem with the specific person playing ghostface just being a douche

@Aari_Piggy66 I’ve actually had quite a few matches where he’s stayed at the hook trying to stalk / expose people who attempt to unhook. But it’s hard to say if its a Ghostface thing or simply because most of my matches are with offerings to get more BP. As I’m noticing an increase of camping killers recently.

  • Yeah, because that’s the same thing... 😂

  • I think it could be quite cool if they removed ruin from being a perk and just had it implemented into every match by default. So it'd still have the same functionality, spawning in as a hex totem etc, but this way killers wouldn't feel obliged to run it every match. Especially when it can be cleansed within the first 30 seconds of a match depending on the spawn location, it just sometimes doesn't even feel worth using.

I'm guessing you use Pig a lot?

Yeah, Pig's not bad on Haddonfield thanks to stealth. If you can manage to get close enough to block a window, you can do well sometimes depending if they decide to heal or not.

These are the only killers that have any real shot of getting a 4k against a team of competent Rank 1 survivors on Haddonfield:

    Pig

    Trapper

Myers (specifically Vault Lord Myers meme build)

    Nurse

Hag (unless survivors are running flashlights)

@tehshadowman33 Yeah I use the Pig a lot, so this is probably why I don't mind being a killer on that map. It is however, 100% survivor sided, as I feel a sense of relief when I get that map as a survivor, as I know there's a high chance the entire team is going to escape, and you shouldn't feel that way. The map shouldn't dictate the outcome of a match...

  • One killer I'll always show respect towards is the nurse, as she isn't an easy killer to learn AT ALL, so I always commend people who give her a try. I've gone against some really deadly nurse players though, so kudos to them for actually learning how to make use of her powers.

  • I wasn't using any perks that made people breathe louder...

I was using Surveillance, Make Your Choice, A Nurse's Calling & NOED.

  • I had a Ghostface camping my teammates last night. He would just stand right in front of them teabagging. He put on one of the new BP offerings, so he was being one of 'those' killers...

They should and if not hers should at least be 20 meters considering she only gets one RBT

    Yeah I agree.

It'd be cool if they introduced an add-on that hid her ambush attack noise. I mean, if the Spirit can get a silenced phase walk, why can't The Pig get something similar? #Justice4Amanda #SayNo2Bacon

  • I actually really love the Haddonfield map, it's one of my favourites. But that might just be the Halloween bias in me speaking, as it is my favourite horror movie.

I find quite a lot of moments to surprise attack survivors on it, especially in the houses as the rooms with generators are pretty small. I can see why some killers wouldn't like it, but every map in the game has the ability to show a killers strength and expose their weakness. One killers dream map is another killers nightmare.

  • I want Amanda's Letter to get a buff. I don't get why it's only 12 metres when Scratched Mirror is 16. Should they not be equal at least?

  • @ShrekIsHot See with that type of gameplay they’re asking to be camped. So I don’t understand the salty messages post-game. We’re just giving them what they want. Also kudos for playing Nurse, especially on PS4. She’s a hard killer to learn.

  • @paint1210 said:

No, it will let the game die faster from now because everyone can easily get the perk (such as BBQ, hex:ruin, DS,BT and so on)

They will also only buy good addon, so everytime the killer will use ultra rate add on and same goes to survivor

But if the prices are high enough, it wouldn't be super easy to use BP to attain the ultra rare add-ons. You'll still need to put some work in and earn them. It'll just feel like less of a chore.

  • @TragicSolitude said:

I usually don't wiggle when I'm the last survivor, either. I accept defeat, and I'm fine with dying and moving on to the next game. The killer usually just hooks me. Sometimes, I'm given the hatch. Once, I had a killer (Doctor) do pretty much the same thing to me that happened to you, carrying me all over the Disturbed Ward map until he found the hatch, then putting me on a hook right next to it. I didn't care that I died, but I was annoyed at how much time he wasted. I didn't message him or anything, though, because that would've given him what he wanted: a reaction.

That was back before EGC. It hasn't changed me usually not wiggling, and it's thankfully a rare event because it's still only happened to me that one time. (I'm on the PS4, too.)

The killer you faced was just a troll. Don't let it get to you.

This pretty much sums up my thoughts.

  • I think this would be a great idea tbh.

I've saved up so many BP to put them into a character and I just find useless perk after useless perk. It sometimes just feels like a game of luck as the Bloodweb is so random, you just never know when you're going to find the stuff you want.

I've also never been a fan of the whole teachable perks thing. Having to get each survivor to at least level 35 took me so long to do and then you have to grind and grind to put those perks onto the survivor(s) of your choosing. It's just endless work. 😂

You're "Buying" them with BP, which is BloodPoints an in game Currency earned by playtime, not real money lol

@Gardenia Sorry I completely misread your main post, I thought you said it'd be a good idea if we could buy Bloodpoints with real money and use them to buy perks and add-ons lol.

  • I was talking about this with my friend the other day whilst we played and we both agreed that it'd be a bad idea as it'd literally make the game pay to win.

Cosmetics don't matter, because they don't really impact the gameplay, they're just there for people like myself that enjoy giving their characters cool outfits. Perks and add-ons however, do actually affect the gameplay, so it just wouldn't be fair that you could buy them whilst other people who don't have the luxury of forking out cash have to hustle for them.

  • @se05239 Ahh okay, that makes sense as my friend was hooked with a trap on her head when the last gen was fixed, so that explains why her head blew up when she tried to leave. I didn't realise they had to be inactive. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

  • Iron Will is my favourite perk in the game. It's so useful.

  • Bond and Iron Will make a great pair. You can stay injured without the risk of your grunts of pain giving your location away and if you really want to get healed, you can track down a teammate with ease.

  • For me, this game is a dream come true. As somebody who loves horrors this game is just something I've wanted for so long, so it's amazing that it's actually became a reality. Can it be frustrating as hell? HELL YEAH, but what game isn't at some point? I love it whole-heartedly, flaws and all. 💙

  • I personally don't think anything needs changing. I've had plenty of matches where either me and the survivors have fixed generators ridiculously fast, or I've been the killer in a game where the generators have been fixed ridiculously fast. However, on the flip side of this I've also had matches where zero gens have been fixed, because I'm having to spend my time unhooking survivors as all 3 of them seem to keep being downed, or ruin can't be found and nobody other than me seems to do gens until it's cleansed. I've also experienced this from the killer side of things too.

I just feel like you win some and you lose some. No 2 matches are the same and that's the beauty of this game. The unpredictability. Will the killer be a total noob? Are they gonna be a savage? Are my teammates going to be useful or potatoes? WHO KNOWS!?.

P.S I have also reached red ranks on both killer AND survivor before somebody tries to use the whole 'you've obviously only ever played against low ranks' argument. 😂

  • Started my Jake Park cosmetic idea last night. Aiming to finish the head tonight and have his outfit done by the weekend so I can submit it.

    Here’s a sneak peek!

    1EE1B13E-552B-4F34-9285-825A411EC3DE.jpeg

  • This happens from both sides though. I've been in plenty of matches where the killer disconnects because things aren't going their way. Some people are just unable to accept defeat, whether they are playing as a survivor or a killer. I just wish you didn't lose your BP when the killer disconnected by crashing their app. That needs to be fixed ASAP.
