  • The add-ons always confuse me. As I’ve always viewed purple and pink ones as being super strong. But some of them really aren’t? There’s a Deathslinger one (can’t remember the name) but it’s purple and it has a negative effect on it. It reduces something, but why would you want to run an add-on that reduces something? It just doesn’t make sense to me. Why don’t rare survivor add-ons have negatives but killer ones do? It hardly seems fair.

  • @bobcat946732 You pretty much said everything I was saying last night. I didn’t win every match, but even the ones I didn’t win, I still had so much fun. He’s got an ability like no other killer. Plus, I am a sucker for FPS games, so it’s like I’m playing both of my favourite games at once. I personally don’t think it’s just a phase, as no other killer makes me feel like this. Not even Michael.

@Stonuk I get what you’re saying, but I don’t agree. If you saw me play last night, you would know what I’m talking about. If you quickscope and your aim is accurate, it’s virtually impossible for them to dodge. They have no time to react. The only Deathslingers I see being dodged are the ones who literally just walk aiming down the barrel. That’s not a good tactic lol.

  • Am I the only one who doesn’t care about this? As I play plenty of games online, this is just the norm. I can’t name a single game where you get matched up with people in the same rank / level as you. It’s always random. Judging by some of the threads I see on here, I’m convinced some of you ONLY play DBD. As you complain about things literally every other game has / does.

  • 😂😂😂

I can’t believe how many cocky survivors are actually on this game. They always wait at the exit gate as they think you’re not good enough to shoot them back out of it. I swear, us killers need a medal for the sh*t we have to endure during our matches.

  • @Azgarthus said:

He's fun, through and through. I feel that I do really well with him and the only times I get destroyed is moreso because I'm on a large map or blinded by corn (or both). I always wanted to get better at huntress but could never really time my hatchets correctly. With 'The YeeHaw' the ADS time is more forgiving than pulling out a hatchet.

However I would argue that harpooning a survivor that is going to reach a hatch before you and pulling them away from it so they can't crawl away in time while you wipe down your weapon is the best thing ever.

I completely agree with everything you said.

My friend was share-playing with me last night and watching me play and I was saying he’s so much better than Huntress, especially because I quick scope a lot, so people don’t really have much time to react. Last night I was able to deny vaults, grab injured tea baggers out of the exit gate AND grab somebody who was running round an annoying pallet loop. I was actually shocked at just how fun he is to play. This is the first time I’ve actually felt really strong as a killer. The best thing was that I could tell a lot of my matches were against SWF, so being able to destroy them just told me everything I needed to know.

That hatch play sounds amazing! Wish I could have seen you do that. I’ve not had the chance yet, but I want to do that and grab somebody off a gen.

  • I was actually just about to ask this same question. I really want to wear the new head with the P3 body / legs, but as you said, it just doesn't blend together. Do we know if this is ever going to be fixed?

  • @Fibijean Thanks a lot for these! I'll play around with some of them in Photoshop and get them sent over to my artist. I think he should be able to work with them. 😊

  • Buffy Summers. I would honestly be close to tears if she was added. She’s been my hero since I was 13. 😂

  • @Kolossoni said:

Well, last time I checked, he's just "Asian American" 😐️

Park is definitely a Korean surname. I’m pretty sure he comes from a Korean family but was raised in America. I’m definitely down for more minorities being released though. But from the looks of things, DBD are very inclusive. So I’m sure more will be on the way.

  • I might be wrong, but isn’t Jake Korean?

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/136451/ds-idea

I like the idea of deactivating DS, but I don't 100% agree with your idea. I would make it to were healing to the healthy state or hooking another survivor deactivates DS. I am a killer main,I have played a ton of survivor, but I feel that DS should have someone way to be deactivated, and if the devs don't want this, than reduce the timer

I like that idea too. My main thought process was because all of the things I listed are only doable if you’re not being tunnelled. So I don’t see the point of DS still being active. I know people like to compare DS and NOED (as seen in this thread) but they cannot be compared. NOED can be prevented from being activated extremely early in a match. DS sometimes has very little counter play. As most people that run it aren’t being tunnelled. They just want to sit and do gens in front of the killers face because they can’t be touched. So many of my friends purposely jump into lockers JUST to use DS. Even when they’re not being chased. They just don’t want the perk going to waste. I don’t agree with this though. It’s a stupid tactic and it shouldn’t be in the game.

  • I don't buy into all these unwritten rules. There's no wrong or right way to really play. Obviously not counting things that come under griefing.

Just have fun. It's a game at the end of the day and like I've said plenty of times before, if you find yourself becoming really annoyed when playing, just take a break. You shouldn't let something that is supposed to be enjoyable become the opposite.

Visually one of the best maps, I really like the sky stars and sunset.

Gameplay wise... It gets really fast survivor sided on certain spots.. And really fast killer sided on other spots. Very unbalanced for both sides imo. Needs some serious tweakin in terms of loop tiles.

Also is it just me or does this map seem extremely small?

I thought the same thing. It does feel really small, but I actually like that. As both a killer and survivor.

It doesn't feel at all like a DBD map, but I think that's the best thing about it. It creates a completely different atmosphere. Really good job on it.

  • @Deadeye said:

The killer shack is not only a strong (but surely not the strongest) loop, but it also has a 50% of spawning the basement. And the basement is a deadly place. So if this is the case, you might want to not run this loop until you get downed, and if you are injured and don't know yet where the basement is, you might think twice before you run it. Despite that, you can also mindgame this loop pretty good, and some killers are even very strong on it.

You might ask to always spawn the basement here, making the main building of the map stronger as you know that is a good loop and has no threat. And it would remove some RNG and "thrill", like you have it on the game map. The RNG at least may cause you to gather information about the map setup

See, that's the thing. If the basement did always spawn there, like you said, you'd definitely think twice about looping the killer there because if you go down, you know where you're heading. But that's exactly how it should be. It's the killer's shack, it should be that one place on every map where the killer has the bigger advantage. Otherwise, I don't see the point of it even existing.

  • @EvilJoshy said:

Maybe let us break the wall holding the window :P

I think the draw back is the shack is a good place to loop the killer but the basement is usually there. If you screw up and the killer downs you. Your ass is going in the basement, which is a dangerous place to be hooked.

It is a dangerous place to be hooked, but if the killer doesn't want you leaving the basement, that'll happen regardless of where it spawns. I like your idea of being able to break the wall where the window is. So it can still be vaulted, but killers can also try to cut people off. I just want it to feel like a scarier place.

  • I haven't had chance to play as him yet, but I get to try him out on Thursday.

I've seen game play and one thing I've noticed is that his terror radius is really small and also ends abruptly like he has built in M&A, is this a bug or is he supposed to be like this?

  • @RWoodrow said:

I found it is best to set my messages to friends only, friend requests to no one, trophies to private, etc.

If you don't do that, you will spend more time reading/reporting than playing the game.

I did the same thing. I play a lot of online games but in terms of toxicity, this is by far the worst, which is a shame as I love this game. I don't get upset or anything, as it's just words, but the amount of messages I've received from survivors on this game is ridiculous. Considering I play fair, I dread to think what the killers receive who actually do camp / tunnel. 😂

  • We love when Devour Hope doesn't get cleansed.

I'm excited to give this guy a try but it won't be until the weekend now. Have fun!

Yeah, it's just a good perk in general. I run it with Kindred and Bond every game. In my opinion, having that much information as a solo survivor is better than any exhaustion perk. Not to mention it buffs your entire team's aura ranges, allowing them to play more effectively.

I completely agree. I rarely run exhaustion perks. I much prefer having perks that I can use every match and not just in certain situations. You’ll often find me running things like Bond, Kindred and Quick & Quiet. I just find them more helpful.

  • David and Meg are my survivor mains and I loved the new cosmetics we got from David’s archive. Here’s to hoping that Meg’s is just as good, if not better. #TeamSportySpice

I do understand your point but a cowboy just doesnt do it for me thats just my opinion, thats why i made this thread to get everyone elses opinions

Have you seen some of the DLC outfits he has coming out? Some are really creepy looking. So you might start to prefer him when you see more of his looks. But you might just never like him and that’s okay too. I’ve never been a big Spirit fan, she just doesn’t do it for me. But I know I’m in the minority with that opinion. 😂

  • @Yung_Slug said:

    Open Handed + Kindred

Seeing the killer at a range of 24 meters from the hook is amazing. Even if they're not camping, you know exactly which way they're going.

To add to this. Open Handed + Bond is pretty great too.

  • I do remember facing a lot of Huntress players when I first started playing this game, but that was back in early 2017. If I was to hazard a guess, I’d say the fact she can throw hatchets probably seems really powerful to new players? Because on paper, it does sound great.

  • I personally love his design. But I’m also a sucker for a good Western, so bringing that into the horror world is just incredible to me. I can’t really comment on his power until I try it out for myself. Visually speaking though, it looks cool.

  • No Mither + Resilience

    Monitor & Abuse + A Nurse’s Calling

    Flip-Flop + Tenacity

Pop Goes the Weasel + Surge (this one can be really funny when you make the generator pop with Surge and then the survivor touches it again and you go back and kick it with Pop. Annoying to go against, but fun to use)

  • @Clevite said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/135166/is-grab-broken

Grab is so broken right now. Not only are you losing the grab , but you are not even getting credited for the hit and the survivor just runs away unharmed. But like @TheLastGreatStar said, I haven't seen it on vault grabs, but all others.

I’m glad it’s not just happening to me then. I’m starting to think it isn’t latency though. Because my hits connect when they should, vault grabs work etc. It’s just grabbing off things that doesn’t. So that’s what makes me think it’s just broken right now. Keeping all of you Scratch Mirror Myers in my prayers.

  • @finitethrills said:

It's the dedicated servers. The game no longer depends on the killer's machine to verify all the info, so killer's perspective doesn't get as much authority as it once did. Previously, killer's info trumped EVERYTHING. Now, it occasionally give killer priority, but a lot more situations are handled on a first come/first serve. So survivor sees you coming, pulls off Gen some milliseconds before you go for em, but game hasn't quite sent that info to you. Your game approves the grab, server tells it surv is no longer in position for grab, then suddenly bolt, and your game can no longer tell the server to swing instead of grab because you're already "grabbing". Now you lose out on both. Not much to be done there. Vault grabs still manage to work because surv has a window of vulnerability once they start, and if you start the grab anywhere in thst window, it'll take. Gens they are only vulnerable until they let go, so the window is infitesimal. I suppose that, actually, is the way to "fix" Gen grabs... Give Survivors a short "disengaging" function when they let go that keeps them pinned to the Gen for a brief window to match vaults, but that would feel really crappy to players, most likely.

Yeah, so far I’ve had no issues whatsoever with vault grabs. But when they’re on totems, generators or going in for an unhook, it just won’t work. Although from my end I’ve clearly grabbed them before they’ve moved.

  • @Thatbrownmonster said:

    It is broken

No matter how hard I try I cannot pick up survivors unhooking, meaning they will allways have a free unhook

I’ve also had it happen to me plenty of times recently. Where I’ve gone for the unhook and I can see the killers hand on my shoulder but it still let’s me get the save and ignores them clearly grabbing me. It’s weird.

Each to their own I suppose, but I think he’s great at ending chases. He’s not as weak as some people seem to think. He can take so much power away from survivors. Plus did I mention cute fluffy pink elephant? 🐘

  • I love those intimate moments with Michael when he stares deeply into your soul and then pops tier 3 and Mori’s you. I always feel blessed to have Daddy Myers put his hands upon my worthless survivor body.

Grabbing is heavily effected by latency. If you try to grab a survivor and they run as you attempt the grab it cancels it. You just need to be completely unseen or find survivors that aren't afraid of being grabbed, like DS users.

That’s the thing, on my screen I’m half way through the animation and then they stand up and run off. That’s what made me think it was somehow broken. It’s like I’m grabbing their soul instead of their body. It hasn’t been annoying, but I was just curious.

Why ? Why be so selfish ..

4k what is it? It's nothing ! In addition, the survivors are not paid well ...

This is why when I meet people like that I block, and the next time I see them again I leave in the loading screen = waste time + game canceled. No penalty.😀

Do you find it toxic?🤔 YES sure, but less than killing the last survivor for 4k, without emotion, without putting yourself in the place of the other !!!

You're taking this GAME way too seriously. A killer's job is to, ya know, kill. Taking a key into a match puts a huge target on your back as you can essentially give you and your teammates an easy escape. You know the risks when taking in a key. Don't like it? Don't take in a key. I play extremely fair, but ultimately it's my job to make sure nobody escapes. I often give the last survivor the hatch if they've played well, but if I have you on the hook near the hatch and you have a key, you're not getting off it. Period.

  • Am I the only one that finds this hilarious? I actually laugh so much when a killer does it to me. I don’t get why it annoys people. 😂

  • I’ll never understand the whole NOED debate. It’s a perk that can be prevented from activating. It’s also a perk that can be quickly ended even if it does get activated. DS is a much more annoying endgame perk than NOED, because if somebody gets unhooked near an open exit gate, you can either stand and watch them crawl out or pick them up and get stabbed. NOED is nothing in comparison.

  • Teabagging and racism really cannot and should not be compared. If you take things inside of a game that seriously you should maybe think about taking a break for awhile. It’s really not that deep. Games are supposed to be fun. Don’t let them cause you unnecessary stress.

  • I would have done the same. Why would you just hand somebody the win so easily? If they want easy escapes, they should think about playing another game. People seem to think that camping / tunnelling = toxic, but it isn’t always that black and white. There’s times when it feels necessary. I don’t think you did anything wrong and honestly who cares. It’s a game. The fact people get so worked up over it really makes me laugh. This is why I have my PS4 messages turned off. I ain’t interested. 😂

  • And BT doesn't activate against stealth killers, so I don't get what point you're attempting to make?

  • @Pirscher said:

DS should only activate if the survivor gets unhooked in the killer´s terror radius - then it is a true anti tunnel scenario

Wraith, Pig, Ghostface & Insidious Bubba say hi.

  • The funny thing about it is, the ones that do it are always complete garbage at the game. I recently had a match with a Claudette & Quentin that both had the word 'toxic' in their username (cringe, right?) and Quentin was using OoO. Claudette would constantly run behind me, so I would just ignore her, because as soon as you'd turn around she'd run off and want you to chase her, so I just didn't play into her hands. Meanwhile, the Quentin would keep looking at me with OoO and teabagging or making me look at him whilst he sabotaged hooks. I just stayed calm and eventually both got downed and facecamped by my lovely Bubba. In the end 3 of them died and the last person got the hatch. So I'm not sure what their game plan was, but if it was to flop at trolling and die. Well done. I think they assumed I was a baby killer because I wasn't using a P3 outfit, but I am far from it. It's stupid that people go on this game just to try and annoy the killer, because if they did this against a genuine low rank killer, they would have more than likely succeeded.

It's just something we have to ignore, because toxicity will always be in online games as plenty of people just have those traits and they love trying to annoy people. But as other people in this thread have said, they only have the power if you give it to them. That's why I stayed calm as I knew they would eventually mess up and they both did, which is why they both died.

  • Survivors that unhook in front of the killer without BT.

  • @Adeloo said:

    what sound issues ?

Some survivors are getting a bug where after being unhooked they aren't making any grunts of pain. It's happened to me a few times when I'm not using Iron Will. So in those matches I essentially had 5 perks.

  • I kind of miss the old BT. I liked that you really had to think about when you used it as you only had it once a match. So many people just grab other survivors from the hook instantly now if they have BT and it's annoying to witness / have it done to you.

  • Iron Will doesn't need changing. It's fine how it is. Is the bug annoying as a killer? Yeah, as people are essentially getting a 5th perk if they're not running it. But we just have to wait for a fix. My friend has had a few matches recently where he'll hit DS and it won't release him, or he can't see the skill check at all and it's not just when he's against the Doctor. Bugs are annoying, but they will get fixed.

yeah as @toxicmegg pointed out, I kinda confused "favourite" with actually enjoying the function rather then it just be about your go-to-build.

I know they are powerful and it CAN be fun I guess to pop a gen that was very close to being done, but idk it does not seem that at that point you would be in the "having fun" mindset.

    Usefull yes, but not fun.

I see. Yeah, I wasn't saying it was a fun perk, just useful. I go through phases of what perks I use a lot, that's what this thread was for, just to list what we're currently all using. I just can't stop using No Mither at the moment, it's like a sickness. 😂

  • @ZoneDymo said:

I must say, im kinda suprised by the perks people choose, many, especially on the killer side.... i mean what makes Pop fun? what makes Sloppy fun?

They are needed to slow the game down maybe...are they fun because they reduce your stress as killer a bit?

Like idk, Devour Hope can be fun, Bamboozle can be fun, purely for the "Oh Sh!t" moment for survivors. Same for Lightborn or Bloodwarden.

PGTW is a great perk tbh. Especially when the survivors gen rush and end up in the dreaded 3 gen scenario, it can really turn the game around. Much better perk than Ruin ever was tbh. I use Sloppy with my Ghostface, as partnered with his stealth and Nurses, it can be deadly.

  • It's just a bug. I sometimes get Iron Will without actually having the perk equipped. But as soon as I start healing I start making grunts of pain again.

  • I hope you realise that killers with your mindset are why a lot of survivors use BT and DS.

I had 3 matches in a row last night where the killer would face camp and tunnel and you wonder why survivors feel the need to run certain perks. In the end I had to switch to playing killer and I won my matches without being hit with DS a single time. You can't complain about survivors using perks which they can only use if you allow them to use them? BT, DS and Unbreakable are all useless if you play a certain way. It's not difficult. It's the same for survivors who complain about NOED. Just cleanse totems.
