Because people will dodge certain ranks probably.
That’s what I thought but who wants to play crappy games ?? Matchmaking I thought was fixed anyway .

Another good tactic is to try and push survivors into working on certain gens. Because when they get stuck with 1 gen left to do and they're all close by. This is when their gen rushing comes back to bite them in the ass. I've gotten so many 4K matches by letting people gen rush me on gens I wanted them to work on. Makes it a lot easier to patrol the last remaining ones when they're close together. And having Pop Goes the Weasel really comes into play then.
I just suck at beginning trying to find people and when I do a gen is almost done even with ruin . Any suggestions how to play him ? Should I crouch in beginning ?
-

Another build I love on my Ghostface is Ruin, Pop Goes the Weasel, Nurses Calling & BBQ. This build allows you to slow down gens and also track down survivors easier. Paired with his stealth ability, it's a really strong build to use. Give it a try. :)
Thank you ! I’ll try this one . I was currently using thana , dying light , nurses and ruin
-
@TheLastGreatStar said:
I was coming in here to recommend that same build. I personally find it really powerful. Ghostface is a beast if you don't try to stalk and just use his stealth abilities for surprise attacks.
I guess I just suck then because I keep going up against good survivors that rush gens even with ruin and know how to loop
-

You pip by building up points which can only be done by delaying the game, if you do too well you will be punished.
Well that seems kind of dumb . So basically I will pip if I hide in lockers all match doing nothing over actually doing something

if youre a good player the best perks for her would be bbq, ruin, whispers and pgtw. Enduring + Spirit Fury also work great on here.
I been using dying light , thanato , ruin and pop

Well, Plague is an M1 killer unless survivors cleanse. If you're good with M1 killers, yeah, she's worth it. Try playing Michael Myers. If you're good with him you should do well with Plague.
If survivors don't cleanse you're essentially a permanent EW3 Myers with normal lunge range, and if survivors do cleanse you're a machine gun Huntress who barely needs to aim.
You'll just need to be on point with your M1 killer gameplay.
Any perks you suggest work best with her ? And I had one game I took out 3 people but next game they were healing early and I couldn’t do crap they were so good and healing early on
-
@xXNurseXx said:
Yes with her addon where you can see puking survs shes A tier because nobody heals anyway so youre like widowmaker pew pew otherwise .. no :)
Yeah but without that add on though . I meant with not being add on reliant . What perks work best for her
edit * I see where you said no lol

Freddy is my main as killer. My builds are...
Thanatophobia, BBQ, Nurses, (the meta perks) & either Franklin's or Sloppy. The two builds allowed me to have "control" of my games even way back when to OG Freddy. Very successful at Rank 1 as well.
I am going to try Corrupt Intervention and Surge on him soon as a last slot option to switch things up lol
I’m just in love with dying light now combined with thanatophobia it’s amazing

Yeah I would definitely take off Butcher for BBQ you want the survivors to at least attempt healing and Freddy has his action speed slow-down addons to make up for the lack of Butcher
That’s true . I just figured whatever extra I could use would be great . This is my first time not using ruin so I want to make sure I get it right . What do I do about beginning game without ruin and no one injured though ?
-
@Ihatelife said:
I think it's good as it is, but I personally would run ruin instead of sloppy.
Reason for sloppy is cuz dying light and Thanato will increase time they can’t heal so they are off gens
-
@Ghoste said:
I can tell you love to slow the game down OP. This build is okay, but sorely lacks tracking ability. I would recommend you sacrifice 1 of your perks for either BBQ or Discordance so that you can efficiently use his teleport to snowball.
Yeah I had BBQ in build before instead of POP I just really wanted to slow the game down I just dunno what to do at the beginning when no one is injured and a gen can be done
-
Sloppy is cuz they can’t heal fast so keeps them off gens longer though so I don’t know if ruin would be good since it’s found easy
-

@kornz2dope id suggest swapping out monitor. The perk has no affect on the lullaby survivors hear while asleep, making it only useful if you start a chase with an awake survivor. The lullaby is fixed at 32 meters, no matter what perks you use.
Thank you for that . What should I replace it with ?
-
@Boosted_Dwight said:
Freddy for sure. Funner, better perks and power, and just overall cooler.

They made a mistake weaponizing the already extremely advantageous camera angle survivors have..its nearly impossible to balance..I feel they hit jackpot with the initial buff
Yeah I don’t like how they make these new killers powers dependent on survivors . Plague with the corrupt purge and now GF with the sight .
-
@immortalls96 said:
Both are cool in concept..I'd say freddy is better but I'm hoping gf is in plans for an update because atm hes either really bugged or over nerfed
Yeah , I like them both but leaning toward Freddy now actually . The concept of GF is great and all but the execution is lack luster .

He's a M1 killer, so the standard build for low tier garbage should do the trick: Bamboozle, Spirit fury, Ruin, Brutal strength.
So you think he’s garbage ?
-
@SpyMature said:
The must have perks on him would be Whispers (to know which gen you need to sneak up at the start of the match) and Ruin (to slow down the game just a lil' bit because stealthing around is gonna take away alot of your time).
The other 2 perks are up to you, but I personally use Shadowborn and BBQ
Thank you . I just been using typical M1 killer perks like spirit fury and enduring

Kindred, bond and open handed. 4th perk of your choice.
There's no better solo build than this one.
I normally run self care , WGLF BT and DS . So I guess I’ll use bond but what does kindred do for me again ?

Solid Hag player with loads of hag info and videos: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1528163753
I have been rocking BBQ, Corrupted Intervention, Pop and M&A. I would argue that Corrupted Intervention is her strongest perk and rest can be what ever you like.
Whatever you end up with perks, never use Corrupted Intervention and Ruin as they basically counter each others.
Yes it does thank you . I’m used to spirit now so going back and learning hag is a challenge . I am just Terrible with trap placement
-
@ClogWench said:
The hag is short and has a small terror radius, which can be made extremely small through Monitor and Abuse. Using line of sight blockers you can get very close to survivors for a first or even second hit without much of a chase at all. This couples extremely well with Nurses Calling letting you drop a chase and simply find them healing after.
Ruin is a typical must have but don't put too much effort into protecting it. People say hag can protect her totems well but she can't, not to a worthwhile extent. If it's in an easily defendable spot then sure, but in most cases it's not worth the setup time.
For basic gameplay you want to focus on using your traps for shutting down loops. Putting them near pallets and vaults are a given but around corners and in long hallways (between house and fence on Haddonfield for example), or under high drops (below upstairs windows, under holes in The Game, etc) are also strong places to put traps. You can't chase effectively so you need to use traps aggressively.
While being looped it's useful to place a trap next to a pallet, then go around the long way to force the survivor through the pallet. They'll often turn back around after setting off the trap, and drop the pallet between themselves and the phantasm. If you don't teleport, that's a free hit. Smart survivors will leave the loop entirely but that's still useful as youve denied a loop and left it trapped for later.
Hag excels at area control so start learning the map and find a good area to defend instead of trying to exert pressure across the entire map.
Finally, it might seem good to slap a lot of traps down in a small area but don't go overboard, often times in that case if they set off one they'll set off all of them.
Yes it did ! I just suck with trap placement lol . I’m used to spirit mostly so hag is another beast after playing spirit and doing well
-
@artist said:
I use ruin, haunted, make your choice and bbq. you could try corrupt intervention instead of ruin and trap around the 4 gens that are able to be worked on. be sure trap common structures people like to run to (like shack) and try not to chase, instead focus more on having traps down. always spam ctrl as well for instant teleport giving survivors little reaction time. having traps in open areas with nothing around them guarantees you a hit if someone trips those traps
Thank you ! I’ll try that . I was chasing and doing bad with that

I agree fully. I'll be in the waiting lobby at most 5 minutes which is rare for survivor while the most common wait time for survivor for me is like 30 seconds avg. While I'll play killer and can wait from 10 minutes to an hour. The hour for killer happened a few times while the common wait time for me is 20 minutes.
And yet, the devs won’t consider reverting when obviously it’s an issue . They’ve said lack of survivors, give survivors more incentive to play IE: more BP

You keep saying that, but those words would be a heck of a long stronger if you just proved it. Revert to the old matchmaking system for 2 weeks and show us that it's merely a coincidence that the new matchmaking system's introduction came with an extra 5 minute waiting time for killers. Either the matches still take forever and nobody can deny it anymore, or it proves there's a problem and the team can actually fix it instead of pretending it doesn't exist.
Yeah , soon as they changed matchmaking this began happening . When they reverted it for a day it worked again then back too this . Changes to matchmaking were supposed to fix the issues not make them worse. Either revert or give survivors more BP

couple patches ago was able to instantly get into killer lobby (before update to matchmaking) and yes , i been in lobby for 45 minutes.

This goes all the way to green ranks? Thought this was red rank only.
EDIT: I'm also only on Xbox.
I been going through this at 9 and 8 rank for awhile and the devs only response is usually “time zone issue or rank “ I can see that if I’m rank 1 but come on now
-

I’m not sure as I only play on Xbox . @not_Queen , can you or @Peanits offer some reason why killer lobbies take so long on Xbox ? No matter what time a day and survivor I can get in instantly . I’m only a rank 9 killer

Dude I'm in the same situation right now. It's taking forever to find people and the last game I had took 15-20mins just find a lobby and they all dc because they were getting outplayed.
Yeah survivor is so fast to get in games but killer takes forever no matter what time I play . I miss the old matchmaking that made both sides instant .

To an extent yes.... it can close off the shack loop faster then normal but in a map with lots of windows like say lerys or the downstairs of the game it wont help all that much.... it also shows the capability between the 2 Billy benefits with bamboozle where as if you run it on spirit you're either a prick or wasting a slot
I just suck with spirit I guess I always get good survivors that loops me for days too lol
-
@Bravo0413 said:
Hillbilly is overrated, yes his map pressure is great but if you go against competent survivors theyll turn you into an M1 killer by looping.... it's that easy to counter him....
Spirit is by far stronger and more fun to play as and against... with the ability to mind game at any point with her power she owns loops (something billy cant handle) and has map pressure.... plus shes bae....
What if I throw bamboozle on billy wont that help ?
-
@artist said:
spirit is stronger vs better survivors than billy is because she doesn't care about loops
What would you say is a good build for spirit ?
-
@Hag.is.Dtier said:
Hillbilly is much better than Spirit, no debate there. Nurse and Hillbilly will always be top two.
I get looped for days with billy even with spirit fury and enduring
-
@Acromio said:
The Hillbilly. By FAR.
May I ask why you think that ? I get looped for days by survivors with him and I run the enduring spirit fury ruin and bbq combo especially on haddonfield ...######### that map !

@GrootDude said:
Spirit imo, phasing is fun.(I’m basing this off of fun) I don’t have all the perks so I can’t give you a build.
Thank you I just don’t find myself able to mind game in rank 8 . Survivors seem to know how to go against it now
-
@rihck said:
Same, killer rank 10 imo take 10 min. + and surv rank 9 take 3-4 min.
It’s ridiculous ! So I’m forced to play solo survivor if I want to play but I have potatoes as teammates or I can wait 10+ minutes each game as survivor . I miss the days when can instantly find people
-
@FireHazard said:
Depends on your rank, and how many people are in that rank.
It could also be the time of day, or the platform you're on has longer killer ques than other platforms.
I’m currently a rank 9 so didn’t think no survivors would be this rank lol

This is what I am using usually.
DS (helps against campers)
SB, DH, IW just to fill the slot tbh
WOO helps me to survive longer and save time without checking which pallet is already broken
SC (some people are against it but I doubt they play solo all the time like me).
I hate usin med kits not sure how people survive without self care

Wow ? Having brain fart on what that perk is lol
