I’m sure it’s just a bug that’ll be fixed? I can’t see why they’d purposely remove the glow.
In the meantime, why not rock the superior cosmetic:

I used that video just because in that particular case dead hard saved their life so many times
My comment wasn’t solely towards you. You just see a lot of people reference streamers on here and act as if their opinions are facts. Some people just live through them and don’t form their own thoughts which I’ve always found odd. I watch Monto a lot, but I don’t blindly agree with everything he says. He’s not better than me and his views aren’t more valid.
-
This would just encourage lobby dodging, which already happens a lot as it is. I’m not sure why you would willingly choose to face a SWF over a team of randoms? I personally don’t have much issues with SWF, as I find most of them are either not as good as they think they are or they just spend the majority of the game being a giant meme, which is fine by me lol. Even still, I would rather choose to face a team of solo survivors if I had the choice. Which is why I shouldn’t have the choice.
One thing that would be cool, would be if the killer received bonus BP after a SWF match. Maybe 25% in all categories? As it could make SWF more tolerable for the people that detest them.
-
I’ve always found Devour to be the most annoying on a Trapper. Especially one with TOTH as you have to wait until they’re deep in a chase or carrying a survivor to a hook before you can get it cleansed. And that’s only if the downed survivor isn’t near the totem. Hag is a close second, but most smart players will crouch walk to a totem once they know it’s a Hag player.
-
I don’t think the game has killer bots implemented yet but I might be wrong? I would definitely love for them to come to console though, as I’d rather go against a bot than lose a teammate or have a match end early because of a DC.
Plus, with the way some people play on this game I don’t think you’d even realise they had been replaced. 😂

- You can Dead Hard directly in to a killer and not get hit and it locks their FoV on you additionally if they swing, which is disorienting on top of a self stun for the killer (I'm rank 4 killer, have seen this happen pretty much every match at least once).
- You can Dead Hard over a trap and not trigger it.
- You can Dead Hard over holes in the ground like on preschool (saw this in a video, haven't done it myself).
- You can Dead Hard to dodge a hit and buy you distance to a window or a pallet. <--- This is the one people act like is the only thing it's good for.
I'm sure there are others but I'm still fairly new and not great at survivor (currently rank 8), but running it with DS/UB it's saved me far more often than the other two combined.
All the other exhaustion perks are just "go really fast for 3 seconds", with varying degrees of control, which is far less powerful. The cooldown could be (and really, should be) double all the other ones for Dead Hard, and it would still be the best one by far.
The problem with Dead Hard is that if you’re a decent enough killer, once you know somebody has it, you’ll bait it out and then down them. So it essentially only becomes useful for getting towards a pallet or vault. A killer that knows what they’re doing won’t just swing and let you Dead Hard through an attack.
Lithe and Sprint Burst can only really be countered if you’re playing as certain killers, and sure they only grant you 3 seconds of additional speed, but that extra distance can make all the difference. I often pair Lithe with Dance With Me and it’s a great way of losing the killer.
I suppose it’s each to their own. It’s just not a perk I use a lot. I just don’t find it useful or reliable enough.
-
I wish people would stop using streamers as examples as to why things should be buffed / nerfed. They act as if they’re the be all and end all of this game. The only real difference is that they put their gameplay out there for the world to see. There are PLENTY of players who are better than them. The only difference is, they don’t upload their matches. Not everybody plays video games for profit.
-
Dead Hard is only really good if you’re using it to get towards a pallet, otherwise it’s pretty useless. I don’t really bother with exhaustion perks, but Lithe is definitely my favourite one to use and the one I find I get the most use out of.
I’d rank them:
- Lithe
- Sprint Burst
- Dead Hard
- Balanced Landing

i wish I could moonwalk but have not learned how to. lol I find that funny as heck.
It’s easy as killer as you literally just walk backwards lol. I can’t do it as a survivor though as I’m on console and it doesn’t work.
-
After I’ve had a match farming with survivors I love doing this whilst they’re in the exit...
Moonwalking Myers is the best. 😂

We love a nice and humble thread around here.
I actually have quite a lot of funny moments from the game, but I also find the way certain survivors get downed / the noises they make hilarious, so there’s never a dull moment for me lol.

I don’t think they’ll ever top the Halloween chapter for me. I got my favourite horror franchise added into the game and the reveal trailer was the best they’ve done yet. I still get chills watching it lol.

I like combination builds that work well together.
We already have the Demon Slayer cosmetic? As I have it on my Feng currently.

If you win 2/10 games, it's considered weak and if you can just play Freddy and instantly win 6-7/10 games in a matter of a dozen hours playing him. Why bother with those low pressure killers, if you can just be successful in no time. To get t-bagged at the exitgates and called baby killer?
I 4K in almost every match I play and that’s with killers like Michael, Deathslinger and Clown. So I’ll never accept them as being weak. As I said, it comes down to the person playing them. If you have to rely on playing as Freddy every match to win, that says more about you than it does the rest of the killer roster.

Every single killer in the game is strong in the right hands, it all comes down to personal preference. I don’t touch Spirit as I don’t like her play style. Michael, Deathslinger, Clown, Legion and Pyramid Head are my mains.
People are too quick to call certain killers ‘weak’ when they’re not. Clown is always put at the bottom of tier lists but I do well as him and I’ve also faced Clowns who had no problem wiping out my lobby.
To add to this, I didn’t have to learn how to play Deathslinger. He’s a killer I’ve been good with since day one. Whereas somebody like Spirit or Oni, who people consider ‘strong’ would take me awhile to get used to, as they’re not the norm for me.

Just when I trought it sounded sarcastic enough.
Nothing I’ve said in this thread has been sarcastic.
The new Meg head looks just like Buffy from S7. So I would like a cosmetic that looks like something Buffy would wear so I can create the illusion that the queen herself, Buffy Anne Summers is in the game. Is that so bad?

Jeff in a vest showing off his tattoos is also miles better than him wearing a jacket.

To be fair, being hooked by the killer is OP. I’m hoping it’s removed soon.

I’ve just had a match where these 2 tryhard Ace’s both DC’d within a minute of the match because they tried to bully this Huntress and failed. Leaving me and a Tapp with 5 gens. Only superficially though. Also it's much easier to tell in that picture that the brow is very different and that Jeff's cheekbones are a lot softer.
They have the same eye color, similar noses, and they both have long hair, but that's about it.
That's not to say there's no resemblance; but I don't think it's that close. You wouldn't mistake Keanu Reeves for Jeff or Jeff for Keanu Reeves.
Well obviously not as one is a video game character and the other is a real person lol. But if Keanu had the same beard and body type as Jeff, they would definitely look very alike. It’s alright if you don’t see it. But I personally can’t see anything else. I love playing as Keanu Johansen. 😭😂

It's hard to tell in that picture.
Jeff's nose and cheeks look pretty similar, but the cheeks might just look similar because of the angle.
Their brows are different though, and it's not possible to see Jeff's jawline with that beard.
Nobody is saying that they’re clones but if you just focus on the middle part of Jeff’s face he definitely resembles Keanu. This has been said many times since he first came out. Google their names together and you’ll see plenty of people see the same thing.
Keanu + bigger beard + slightly chubbier face = Jeff.

Nah. The op didnt check every rock. Killer is moving faster than running survivor. Running survivors make scratch marks - no running allowed, easier to find survivors. Circle around every tree and you will eventually find survivors. You are just lazy. :^) Well, yeah, devs are on the lazy side, so 1h is too much hiding. To me killer was clearly outplayed.
You’re obviously not a good survivor then. As I can GUARANTEE if I don’t want to be found by a killer I won’t be. You don’t stay in one place. You travel around with Urban Evasion so it’s nothing to do with “checking every rock” and the last time I checked. You don’t leave scratch marks whilst crouch walking. Killer checks location A whilst you’re in location B, as the killer then goes to check location B, you sneak back to location A. It’s really not a difficult concept. So you’re either a really low rank survivor or somebody with low comprehension skills. Either way, I’m done conversing with you. It’s like talking to a wall. And not a very intelligent wall at that. Goodbye. 😘
-
Jeff definitely looks like Keanu Reeves (John Wick). People (including myself) have been saying it since he first came out. I also think Zarina totally looks like Chyler Leigh.

LMAO yeah! Survivors can see your aura on the ground unless the killer is running Knock Out and they’re far away from you, but they can’t see the killers aura or each other’s. That effect will only trigger once you’re on the hook. Looks like you were unfortunate and found a selfish team who chose objectives over teamwork.

I have played a match as survivor where killer Myers downed me first, then proceeded to watch me bleed out for the rest of the match. I was running Kindred, so luckily no one tried to save me. I was mostly entertained honestly, as I crawled slowly across the map away from survivors. Needless to say, I was the only one to die. But you are right; I've never been fully blocked in before - hat wouldn't be nearly as fun... This case OP describes just doesn't seem as "hostage" to me. If BP are the issue, maybe that could reworked, as it sounds like there are a lot of issues with BP earnings. . .
The difference with what you’re describing is you are eventually going to bleed out. So you’re not trapped in the game. Whereas with what the OP experienced, he was trapped. As the only thing that was going to make the match end were the generators being fixed or the survivors being killed. The fact they hid for an hour is taking the game hostage. It doesn’t matter if you personally feel like it is or not, the game developers have spoken on this before and you can be banned for it. Also, Kindred doesn’t work when you’re on the ground. Only when you’re on the hook.

See I got a 4k in my 1st match but the team were kinda trolls and trying to F with me and F'd around and got themselves killed but I haven't had a good game with him yet but I have been trying to get chainsaw down which clearly takes a lot of practice. . .and patience. . But I'm gonna be playing with him a lot since I want his other faces!! Definitely not one of the strongest killers but I guess it's just like mike with super perks and good add ons and some practice he can be pretty good. The tantrum is what frustrates me bcuz it takes 3x longer than any other killers cool down from a missed attack. . Even billys missed attack cool down isn't THAT bad. . Idk what he was like before or if his rework is even on console yet but I'm gonna keep trying bcuz I want those damn faces!!!
But like I said, it’s each to their own. Calling a killer strong or weak isn’t factual. It’s all opinion based at the end of the day. I have fun with Leatherface and play well with him. As do a lot of other players. Most of the killers I main are called weak by the masses, yet I’m able to consistently 4K with them. So it just goes to show that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.

This is very good topic. I love it. It show how entitled and careless some killers are now. The topic starter believe that only survivors must equip certain perks to win their games. The killer cant be bothered to use the right perks to win their game. Just hand the killer free win on a silver platter. The last survivor or 2 survivors are free kills, if killer dont want to use aura tracking perks.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/7AYCXOP5PURI/failure.jpg
Now imagine if a survivor would make a topic about camping. That would be their own fault for making a single mistake, not having DS, BT or even SWF to get them off hook and out of the basement.
That 1h game was this killers own mistake.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1461050#Comment_1461050
Good idea. If killer is not prepared for something, that would allow to accept the mistake and speed it all. The last 3 gens can be the most difficult part of the game. I wont blame survivors for taking it slow.
Are you seriously that bored? Nobody in this thread care about a single thing you have to say. You’ve already shown your bias. If you have an issue with what we’re saying, I suggest you send these essays to the Devs. Ya know, the ones who said it was bannable in the first place.
Why do you seem to think you know this game better than the people that created it? You’re seriously delusional. Reply to me if you want, but I won’t be replying to you. This response was already more than you deserved.

I actually had never really thought of it as a reportable offense really, I may try that. I don't usually like reporting killers for anything because I feel like the game is hard enough for them already and most killers playing "toxic" are usually just new and figuring things out. What should I report the offense as?
I wouldn’t personally report somebody for doing it once as they could genuinely be AFK. But if you notice it’s the same person that keeps doing it like I did, then I would report it. It comes under griefing as the killer is deliberately forcing survivors to also lose BP and depip.

The issue with that is this situation would become more common when there's two survivors left, especially if they're swf, to try and make the killer frustrated enough to just open them so they can both get out. I think punishing survivors who ignore objectives for too long when there's two left would be better.
I agree.
An idea I posted in another thread would be to have a limit of 10 minutes that the survivors can go without repairing a generator. After 10 minutes they will receive the penalty which could be something like having their aura shown to the killer and then receiving the exposed status. To stop the penalty from happening you have to repair a generator for at least 10%. Being found by the killer and entering a chase would also stop the penalty from occurring.
10 minutes is more than enough time as nobody should be going that long without trying to repair a generator.
-
You can report them for it. I used to come across the same Wraith player on PS4 who would stand facing the exit gate and as soon as the last generator popped he would open the gate.

This is why I use Spine Chill as I know the second I take it off, it’ll be another Ghostface. Plus, it’s a great perk against every killer, so I don’t mind keeping it on.

That just means the team you were on did some foolish things. Couoke of bad chases is all it takes to snowball with killers that one shot. Part of tge issue is with bubba it doesnt take much to not make those mistakes. It happens, but its very inconsistent. You HAVE to run very specific add ons and specific builds to stand any kind of chance. Bubba base is truly awful.
Which is why theyre updating him
Well first of all, it isn’t team it’s teams. As I play Bubba quite a lot. He’s never been a weak killer. A lot of people just didn’t know how to play him. Does his rework make him better? It sure does. Was he still a good killer in the right hands before? He sure was. It’s each to their own. But I’ll never accept that he was a weak killer. As for me and my play style, he wasn’t.
I would choose Bubba over Spirit or Billy any day of the week.

As things stand I believe the majority of matches with SWFs abuse the imbalance and even more so on console.
Daily there are players who are willing to play killer out there that are suffering because of this and because of this the game suffers.
It is unfortunate that you don't like using comms or that you both don't wish to bond closer and learn a new language but think about the betterment of the game.
I play killer a lot and don’t suffer against SWF? I actually find them easier to beat than solo lobbies. 🤷🏻♂️

Because if you have played killer in high ranks before you will know that survivors splitting up is a godamn nightmare due to the sheer speed at which generators pop.

Interesting you bring up the only two reasonable arguments against balancing SWFs.
Firstly SWFs need to be debuffed due to the speed and how optimised they are, e.g. one person going to hook, where to do the generator or heal etc. It could be argued that a solo survivor gains an advantage playing with an optimised SWF.
Secondly there are very very few that are in a SWF that don't communicate with each other as i've been told it is a new century. I've heard of this but most use mics as even basic words convey information such as killer shack, noed totem, you learn the key words together. I'd look at this as a chance to improve your friendship and swat up on your french skills.
I don’t really like talking on mic whilst I play. I’m not much of a people person. Plus, the French guy isn’t good with English. So he’s the main reason we don’t talk over mic. Believe it or not, but not everybody wants to be in a party chat 24/7 whilst they play. I’ve had plenty of survivors add me as a friend without any intention to talk in a party. They just want to play with me as they know I’m a reliable teammate. That can be enough for some people.
