It's only natural to like one more over the others, whatever reason that might be.
Every chase it’s the same thought:
”if I were Clown I could have stopped them from ever having reached that pallet/vault”

The idea seems to be to catch up and get a hit in between tiles. That said idk why i wouldnt just pick legion or billy
I can just use Clown and stop them from ever reaching the next tile.

Advantages? It's a little too early to have a solid answer, but the main reason would be the same as it would for any Killer, because you like him.
He has great mobility and pretty decent downing potential, but there are areas where his power is not as effective. That's alright though. If his power worked everywhere then we would have a bit of a problem on our hands.
I just feel like I’m wasting my time using his power at all.

You’re not being clever.
Are you looking to get a ban from the mods?

Are any other killers struggling to put survivors on hooks? Like the action not happening even though the prompt is there?
Every game I've played since the update, theres been at least one survivor wiggle out because it straight up wont let me hook them. One game I couldnt hook a single person despite numerous downs.
Started happening to me the past hour

You have to remember, everyone has different skill levels. So Blight might be easy for you, but others might find him tough. He does have a high skill level for sure, and I'm still holding out hope I can get better, but the problem lies in that we can't exactly practice well when we're placed against SWF or high skill players. I didn't like Blight at all at first, but I'm slowly getting the timing down, but he's still very clunky to use, especially on console. I'll keep trying, but it does get to a point that you just kinda say enough is enough and go back to what we know we can use well.
Blight is the best example yet of how much this game desperately needs a practice mode with bots for target practice.
-
That’s because pc killers won’t fall for 360
-
@[Deleted User] said:
I disagree. Thought it was horrible at first but you get used to the timing. It's the same as Nurse's blink window. I find myself not even needing the extra collide duration add-ons because I'm that used to the base time window. It's all about quickly planning your next move and doing it, the window does give you enough time to do that, but if it seems too short for you, then the add-ons that lengthen it will be your best choice.
I shouldn’t feel handicapped if I don’t have a particular add on.

He's probably going to be my main survivor over anyone at this point, he's the literal peak definition of chad and I love it.
As well as that his cosmetics mix together really nicely and from what ive seen leaked his prestige outfit looks amazing.
So I ask, how many other Felix fanbois/mains are there?
Yeah he’s definitely my new main. David has been for a LONG time, but I’m definitely switching to Felix. I really like his perks a lot.

I thought I would be able to use the medkit and its purple addon twice and activate mettle of man but its destroy the medkit, its this new?
No, it’s not new. The Styptic and Syringe have always explicitly stated they consume the medkit upon use. I.e destroy the medkit.

@Heartbound said:
He has add ons that increase turning like Hillbilly though doesn't he?
Just use the common add on that turns you to face the survivor and take the guess work out of it. Or just don't use his power at all and he plays like a default M1 killer. He also has a skin with a top hat. It is impossible to be disappointed with anything when you have a top hat.
It’s not as helpful as it sounds. He’s a very clunky disorientating Killer
-
@ProfessorDunwich said:
What was BHVR thinking? If you are an elite Killer like some of the streamers with incredible map knowledge, I see how he might be okay. But for the average Killer, he is is ridiculously difficult to play. I don't know if the devs have noticed, but there is a major shortage of Killers. My queue for survivor is 2-4 minutes on a good day and my killer queues are instant, that is with cross-play. Glad I only used shards on this debacle of a Killer.
I’ve never liked using a killer as much as I don’t like using Blight. He’s frustrating, finicky, disorientating, and hitting survivors takes a miracle, a bribe, and selling yourself for sex.
I’d sooner master Nurse on PS4.

Is desperate measures bugged right now? The bar doesn’t seem to turn yellow when healing yourself.
It only goes yellow if you’re healing faster than normal, if there aren’t any debuffs that would still make healing slower.

Yes I absolutely love the perk
One of my all time favourite survivor perks as I like to do altruism builds.
I’d love to test what the unhook animation would look like during EGC with NOLB and Desperate Measures with everyone not on the hook is injured AND running Leader.

How?!?!
He’s been out mere hours!!!

@Tactless_Ninja said:
I admit it's nice instantly seeing an item now.
Was probably causing issues with its extended animations as well.
I just like that I can let go midway through searching and it doesn’t give the killer a noise/location notification anymore.

Now that Felix is out, mines probably going to be Botany Knowledge, Desperate Measures, Leader, and Bond.

This was a problem with old Freddy too.
Red Paint brush truly was ultra rare, hardly ever appearing.

Bring a tricked out medkit to benefit from Built to Last and Desperate Measures. Use Visionary to help save time while gen rushing. And bring a super Survivor sided map like Haddonfield or Ormond.
You'll get Adept first try
Most survivor adepts are easy.
But yeah Felix in particular is very easy. I got it second game.
I really like his perks. Visionary is great on Lery’s which is still a huge pain in the butt for finding gens. And yeah a medkit + built to last + desperate measures is such a great combo.

About 11gb

@humanbeing1704 said:
is it better on ps4? I haven't noticed much on the xbox side of dbd
It runs almost 100% silky smooth most of the time.
Its running the best it’s ever had on PS4 with games mostly running at 60fps most of the match, a stutter here and there.
-
@antifreedomring said:
Has the ps4 version also lost the heartbeat? Only have killer music on pc turning every killer into stealth killer lol
Yeah, no heartbeat. I’m sure they’ll fix it.

The graphics themselves are amazing, but god damn does it kill console. Just played a match on Yamaoka and it was MISERABLE. Stuttering everywhere, lag spikes, it was so hard to even hook players. Just look at this!
That’s weird because on my PS4 everything is running smoothly, even on the updated maps (which look incredible)

I thought it also included you as when I was injured and opening an exit gate the perk was lit up. But the bar wasn’t gold, so maybe it doesn’t. It could still come in handy as I like SC with BK anyway, so this is just a bonus.
Perhaps you’re right. I didn’t think it included your own injuries.
Jesus, so up to 56% increase to healing and unhooking speeds.... that’s crazy.

I thinking about using Botany + DM + SC for fast heals.
just understand that DM only increases healings speeds when OTHER survivors are injured, dying, or hooked.
so if you’re the ONLY one injured while self caring, DM won’t provide bonus healing speed to you.
There would need to be other survivors injured, dying, or hooked while you’re self healing.
-
@ScienceGirl said:
Does the increased healing action effect self-care?
Yes. It affects all healing speeds.

I don't know why I randomly started thinking about this but... I mostly play survivor and while it was annoying I don't understand what was so bad about it that it had to be nerfed? And what are your thoughts on said nerf?
I’m repeatedly baffled (and exhausted) seeing this claim over and over again.
Ruin was not nerfed. It’s just no longer passive. If anything if it manages stay up till mid to late game it’s 10 times stronger than old Ruin and a royal pain in the arse coming back to a gen you were previously chased off of (or had to do a hook rescue) to find the gen has pretty much regressed to zero.

I've played this game a long time as a survivor main. Recently I've been looking at perks other survivors use just to have something different to try. I have noticed something about 1 perk in particular. If you play survivor very much at all you have been in those matches where one survivor seems to somehow always run the killer right to other survivors.
I always counted it as coincidental. Sometimes I assume it is. What I have been noticing recently though now that I am looking at perks after matches most of those survivors are running bond. Talk about feeling naive. Most of the time it isn't coincidence. It's a survivor very intentionally using bond to throw their team mates under the bus.
It got me wondering what other perks do survivors use to intentionally throw other survivors under the bus?
This can be what sometimes makes me regret using Aftercare.
I took the time to unhook someone, heal them, coordinate with them now we can always see each other, and how am I repaid? The damn scumbag kites the killer onto me!
-
@piggypablo said:
When I see other survivors working on a gen, I love to find the nearest window and do sprint vaults back and forth repeatedly to get the killers attention.
That’s considered griefing and it can get you banned if a player in your matches reports you, and provides BHVR video evidence of your behaviour.

Yeah, once it is at 5 tokens it’s an excellent healing perk.
But as others have said it’s risky/unreliable due its link to skillchecks.

I basically feel like I run the same load out every game.
Decisive Strike: Because tunneling ruins this games fun for me.
Iron Will: Because its difficult to escape chases or avoid getting into one when your moaning so loud that the killer can very easily find you.
Unbreakable: Because without it you risk the killer winning off a slugging game which is also no fun.
Sprint Burst: So I can make it safely to a jungle gym.
Anyone have a similar struggle as survivor. I am a killer main but as survivor I feel to attached to crutch perks because of certain killers playstyles. 😒
I have a great time mixing my loadouts up and experimenting.
Currently running Leader, Bond, Flip Flop, and Tenacity, and I’m having a great time.

@ZaKzan said:
looks like they got away with it. Don't expect much from DBD customer service, they don't really actively seek out and investigate cheating / farming / etc.
You'll find that kind of thing is pretty common in this game because the rules aren't actively enforced and you have to record every second of your game to even have a chance of getting something done about it.
This is outright false. Legitimate reports with all the required evidence are taken very seriously by BHVR.

So I was playing Ghostface running both iridescent add ons and a ebony mori. My perk loadout was Franlkins demise, NOED, Barbeque and Chili, and Blood Warden. I basically found one survivor, chased and hooked them, then facecamped. I then waited for the teammate to save them only to down them again. I did this for 2 other survivors until I got to the last survivor. I downed them, then carried them to hatch, but instead of letting them escape, I put them down, closed it in front of them, then moried them. Is that toxic? Honestly I think the pesky survivor mains are just entitled and greedy. /s
It sounds like you were being entitled and greedy.
You went out of your way to try and make sure those survivors had as miserable a time as possible for no good reason.

yeah left behind helps if your last survivor as it reveals the hatches aura
i'm just wondering if it would be possible to add a hatch opening animation that is like cleansing a totem,etc
also removing moris would make it a bit fairer on the survivor side
I love using Left Behind and taking a key. Let the killer close the hatch, and then when they go to patrol gates I gonfind the hatch and open it.

All these new maps we've been getting are all terrible imo which is why I'm kinda glad we didn't get a new map this chapter. Allow me to go down the list.
Most recently we have Midwich. I think almost everyone will agree with me that Midwich sucks. Sure it looks cool, but navigating this map is just a pain and I don't find this map very fun at all.
Next up we have Dead Dawg Saloon. First of all the breakable walls themselves just feel unnecessary and feel like a chore but you have to break them or else the survivors can waste alot of your time in main building. The side opposite of shack and Saloon also has weird loops that often just confuse me. Also I'm just not a fan of how the map looks overall.
Next up we have Sanctum of Wrath and Family Residence. Man we really didn't need another variation of Yamaoka Estate. These maps are a Blendette's wet dream and they just look ugly imo. Not to mention Family Residence is too big.
Next up we have Hawkins. Ugh.
Next up we have Temple of Purgation. The only real complaint I have about this map is that it's a bit too big. Everything else is about it is pretty meh.
Next up we have Ormond. I actually really like how this map looks. I definitely wouldn't mind seeing another variation of this map as long as they don't make it as big or safe pallet infested.
And that brings us to Father Campbell's Chapel. The last map we got that I was actually cool with. It is a bit on the bigger side but it's a good map imo. There's a fair amount of pallets and the main building is pretty cool and well balanced. The aesthetics aren't anything to marvel over but it looks good overall.
There are of course maps before these that also sucked *ahem* Haddonfield *ahem* , but I just wanted to show how long it's been since we got a fun, cool looking, well balanced map. Some may disagree and say that they actually really like x map which is ok cause this is just my opinion and you have yours. I just want to be able to look forward to new maps instead of dreading them. Idk I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts on this thougha and see if anyone else feels the same way. Also if anyone is curious my favorite maps are MOST of the maps from the first 4 realms. (Macmillan Estate, Autohaven Wreckers, Coldwin Farm, Crotus Prenn)
This is all very subjective because personally I love Yamaoka, hawkins, new Lery’s, Dead Dawg Saloon, and Midwich

On a scale of 1 - 10 Excluding perks... how excited are you for The Blight's release?
Personally, I'm sitting at a 3.
I’m...curious to try him, but not confident I’ll like him. Seems finicky. I could yet be surprised though.
Honestly, although you said “excluding perks”, it’s the perks and Felix I’m looking forward to.

This whole hill fiasco reminds me of the time there was like a 2 week period before it was hotfixed of Plague getting stuck in doorways or stairs because the collision was too low for her elaborate headpiece. Drove me absolutely mental.

No. You want to have more time on gens.
That includes giving your team more time during chases
-
@hillbillyclaudmain69 said:
Actually if you arent out of position, and you are good, you should stay injured. Your teammates and you can do the objective faster.
But even then, IF you’re good, wouldn’t you WANT to able to extend chases longer by being able to tank an additional hit?!

@hillbillyclaudmain69 said:

Yes, IF you’re good.
But most of the time I just see them go down quick, and seem to be completely oblivious to the fact that they’re easily heard by the killer.

For me on the US servers it's mainly the Red Ranks that seem to have these issues. Three gen'ning doesn't seem to happen all that often. I sometimes get a Survivor that doesn't heal others. Bum rushing hooks is probably the most common sight for me. It goes hand in hand with the thought of "######### are my teammates even doing??" because in some games no one else seems to be working on gens. Teammates are too busy hook trading/farming each other. It was such a common sight that I just started bringing Left Behind and try to get out through the hatch.
Yeah I’ll sometimes make sure I’ve got both Left Behind and Wake Up as “fail safe”

I desperately want to use old Freddy again
