If they’re refusing to be healed, are you absolutely sure they’re not running No Mither? But yeah, I’ve run into this. If they don’t stop running away, I give up trying.
I know.
I use No Mither a lot.
I check the status screen to know whether they’re injured or broken.

The Third Seal and/or Blindness add ons.

Hex Undying will be an open window to so many different hex builds, I can give you 3 hex builds in which Hex Undying will level it up, but im sure most of you know your own three builds, but heres mine:

- All - seeing Hex Build
I’m gonna meme by doing Undying + ToTH only.
Make the survivors freak out that something worse is being protected.

I think you're looking at it the wrong way which is why Bloodhound seems better.
You're looking at it from a tracking perspective and finding the location of survivors.
Iron Will isn't good/being used because of its location tracking. It's good because it allows you to pin point the survivors location on the spot, mid loop. This allows you to know exactly where they are at behind the wall to better mind game the loop.
So for "tracking", sure Bloodhound is better. However, people don't run Iron Will for its tracking and that's not why it's good. It's for the mind games at loops and pin pointing location behind walls.
No one generally cares about tracking at high ranks which is why no one runs Bloodhound.
Iron Will? Or Stridor?

Up The Ante only increases your chances by an additional 3%. Chances are, you could've not run the perk and got the same result.
An additional 3% per survivor alive. To every survivor if they want to try self unhook.
So 4% + 9%

Or I could just run Empathy and see everyone who is injured with an unlimited range and no work required on my part.
Think of Aftercare as the survivor equivalent of Devour Hope.
It has to be worked for in order for it to grow in power, but that power can be removed (or in Aftercare’s case needs to be rebuilt)

Aftercare only loses information upon hooking the Aftercare user

What you seem to forget is you have to work for that aura reading where as the other perks that let you see teammate auras are just given to you.
Of course you should have to work for that volume of powerful information
-
@HollowsGrief said:
In my opinion this perk should last the entire match, not reset once you are hooked. That downside makes it a weaker version of other perks and honestly for no real reason.
No, it’s a very fair downside. Being able to see the other 3 survivors at all times at any range, plus they’re all able to see you is very powerful, and allows for some significant increase in coordination and assistance

Bond: Am I a joke to you?
Bond does not show the auras of carried survivors.
Only Aftercare, Better Together, and Blood Pact do.

Slippery Meat, Up The Ante, Ace In The Hole, Plunderers Instinct. That bonus luck also effects of you get a second adodn! Wow, how impactful!
Mettle of Man, Babysitter, No Mither, WGLF. I dare you.
Slippery Meat + Up The Ante actually isn’t that bad a combo.
If ive been in a string of games of unreliable teammates despite running Kindred, I’ll slap on Slippery Meat + Up The Ante and most of the time I can unhook myself. It let’s those survivors stay on gens if I can unhook myself.

Hey Killers, please tell a survivor main how often you track blood stains on the ground. Sometimes I play around with the idea of healing during a match (I usually don't until someone heals me) but then I get those matches where a killer will pass right over the stain of blood I just left a step away and they just walk right past me. I only play killer for dailies, so I wanted to know what killer mains do about this?
I play Clown, and so because his only means of pressure is finding and downing survivors quickly and frequently, I forced myself to learn to pay attention to blood and crows. I’m probably WAY too attentive to blood now because on some of the newer maps I get distracted by some of the blood splatters in some areas and they throw me off.

Oh is it sorry never made that many clown and freddy comparisons
Survivors are intoxicated and hindered for the entirety of the time they’re in a gas cloud, and a further 2.5 seconds once the survivor is out of the gas AoE. This is why bottles should be thrown AHEAD of survivors (or in their path). Clown wants survivors to move through as much gas as possible. It lets him close distance super quick.

true though but snares are more effective at times and result in a longer slowdown if you don't have the flask of bleach add-on for clown
Freddy’s is 2 seconds.
Clowns is up to 4.5 seconds

They did clown dirty like that when I first started understand what snares were back during the ptb I was kinda mad because this just killed clown. Devs just based freddys snares off aof clown but made clown look like garbage compared to that. Its jsut sad but I think he will get a potential rework in the mid-chapter
Freddy can’t throw Snares ahead of a survivor (if it’s a location he hadnt already trapped)

Ok one last thing, the matches i bring Sulphuric Acid Vial instead of Sloppy, guessing I should just swap it (sloppy) for deerstalker/distressing for that match? Again thanks so much for your time.
Yeah, where possible use Sulphuric Vial instead of Sloppy where possible (Thana is great stacked with mangled and Coulrophobia in a slug build). 2 minutes of Mangled each and every time someone is gassed is a long time.

I love the idea behind blood pact but it doesn't feel as rewarding as it should so here are two ways we can make it a fun and viable perk, option number one: the 6/8/10 seconds of haste is saved and activated on your next chase like a mini sprint bursts or option number two: increase the timer to 20/25/30 seconds, this perk has so much wasted potential, what do you think?
Blood Pact already does a lot of things, and does them well. This is an unnecessary buff.

I DIDN’T MAKE THIS MUSIC!
Think someone named Mr.Envy may have made this chase music for Nurse.
Have you heard it & do you think it’s fitting for her?
That they used a flutey sounding instrument in certain parts turns me off a bit, at the same time I like it ‘cause it’s kinda floaty... I really do like the whole piece of music, especially when the chase begins... really grippingly intense!
Be fun being chased by her w sth similar to this, imo
I love it. It has a “classic” ghost movie sound to it. I was imagining hearing her screeches and gasps while listening and it just fit so perfectly.

Just always run Trapper Sack/Trapper Bag/Stitched Bag and Logwood Dye/Tar Bottle, A Faint/Hazy/Murky Reagent, and Whispers.
And then hope they didn't put Object Of Obsession on to invalidate all of that because they just get to know where you placed every single trap.
The rare times I play Trapper I use Third Seal, and trap the hell out of that totem just in case anybody runs OoO or has a map or Detective’s Hunch.

So I keep not getting hooked when a teammate dies and I wanna know what’re some good tips to take hooks and keep your team alive a while longer without sacrificing yourself. I wanna eat hooks but not die immediately.
My point of view is that it’s unwise to intentionally take a hook. I’ll take a protection hit to help break off a chase with someone else...if I think I can also get away.
Remember, the killer isn’t a bot, and isn’t under any obligation to give you a 2nd or 3rd chance. There’s always the very real possibility of your first hook being your death hook, and it’s perfectly within the game rules for things to play out that way.

Almost every single other free to play game with a battle pass system is:

And is just overall better, but here we pay for absolutely everything, and if we're lucky we get a bloodhunt for one week after months?
Seems legit to me that this is just being selfish.
You already get a free currency just from playing the game: shards.

With that killer and most other killers a person has to expect a killer to go out of their way to camp at some point if generators are being completed fast. Depending on the time of the day and the quality of general matches. I'd make the decision to bring BORROWED time.
If the killer camps. Just REPORT them for inactivity, or not participating in match. Most reports do nothing. But w/e,
You shouldn’t encourage players to lodge false reports for camping.
-
It’s probably been said already by others.
The way I (mostly) use him is to just get close to survivors and snack em rather than stalk (unless it’s clear they’re totally not paying attention).
And I try to move towards gens diagonally or sideways to avoid Spine Chill.

Disagree.
It’s quite frustrating being chased off a gen that was nearly repaired, only to return after losing the killer and the gen has pretty much regressed to zero.

I also think hes underrated but needing of buffs. Hes not as bad as everyone says (hes no top tier or anything just not trash)
Did you see what I put on your wall?
Just use BBQ instead of Distressing or Deerstalker

Bond is one Dwight’s perks. It reveals the auras of any survivors within a 36m range of you at all times, unless afflicted with aura blindness. It’s very useful.
There are tokens for the key, and the unique wedding ring for keys that let you track survivor auras as well.
-
Can we just accept that optimisation isn’t going to happen for current gen consoles?
I’m gonna give the devs the benefit of doubt in that I believe they have been trying to optimise as best they can, but the current consoles just don’t cope well with the spaghetti code.
I think they’ve resigned themselves to investing what resources they have to make DBD run as amazing as possible on next gen consoles.
And in fairness to the devs they said they’re working on console optimisation, they didn’t say THIS current generation of consoles.
-
If I can make red rank SWF sweat by using Clown by meme’ing with only Mindbreaker and Mindbreaker only and no add ons, then no, there are no pay to win perks.

I have so many keys... I just want to use them without becoming an easy target, because I guess a lot of people hate when survivors bring one? What I usually do is use it so I can see my teammates and stay near them in case I get injured, but I want to make sure I’m not ruining the experience for any killers. Also, is it best to wait until there are a few sacrifices to leave? I usually wait until a gate is open or if me and one other teammate are the last ones.
I actually don’t take in a key with the intention of using it on the hatch (because I usually never find it anyway).
I usually use it as a replacement for bond with either of the tokens or the unique wedding ring.

Clown & Ghostface.
Clown’s is just twisted and “wrong” in the right kind of way.
Ghostface is just downright sinister and creepy.

I see this thrown around a lot and would consider myself pretty good at herding and zoning the survivors as Clown. He sucks. Ending the chase fast doesn't mean much with the slow base reload and total lack of mobility or pressure. The fastest down a base clown could get (which would require the survivor to be a literal potato) is still longer than Leatherface or Billy.
It’s entirely possible to end most chases in 16 seconds with only 2 bottles, mitigating the downsides of reloading and making Clowns movement speed a non issue.
-
@OllieHellhunter said:
I mean he is underrated, that doesnt means that hes not in need of buffs though, cause he definitely is. He has decent chase but nothing else going for him.
He only needs very minor tweaks to be perfect.
My suggestions are either
- slightly expand the spread of gas clouds at base, and make them linger for 2 seconds longer at base
- or....
- Have the lingering hindered and intoxication that lasts 2.5 seconds at base outside of the gas AoE increased to 3.5 seconds at base.

Ok so recently in the Q&A I asked a question going straight to the Dev who on stream called clown "Underrated" it got a crap ton of downvotes but also some upvotes. You can check my profile discussions go see what I said.
So what do you guys believe? Does he need buffs? Is he "Underrated" as the guy said?
Even though the really really good Clown mains said he was weak who arguably have way more experience then the balance team because let's be honest, they haven't been doing that great. With the billy base rework. I personally believe all he needed was an Add-On rework. Hell most killers need that!
I totally agree with the devs. Clown absolutely is underrated. Once it’s properly understood HOW to use bottles to control the chase and shut down loops (rather than mindlessly always throwing them at survivors and wasting them), Clown ends chases ridiculously fast.
Clown is for players that already have really good tracking ability, able to quickly find survivors after successfully ending a recent chase.
Quickly downing one survivor after another by severely limiting a survivors mobility and escape options is where Clowns pressure lays.
-
Yeah I was thinking about how dreadful Rotten Fields would be for him other than using 1 rush at a time for mobility only.

Edit: Please do specify if you don’t like the topic or if you just want it to be solved and implemented for topics that apply
I just want survivors to accept that Spirit HAS to track by sound because she has NOTHING else. Even Scratch Marks can be used against her to confuse her.
Thus Spirit players use Stridor because they don’t want to be neutered by Iron Will.

What do you mean? It would still show the 3 closest gens at least, but might show 4 or 5 instead. The more information, the better.
I moreso want a way that gives the gen progress indicator that add-ons have on Wraith/Legion but for survivor. Maybe make it an iridescent map add-on instead?
The gen repair progression idea is good. It’s what I was hoping for Visionary.
-
Sometimes you just gotta accept the loss.
In games it’s clear there’s nothing I can do I just go wait by a gate switch to open it as soon as the last gen pops so the game can just be over ASAP.

That being said if sole survivor had a starting range of 20 metres or so It could be a decent perk
Lol, I guess maybe we’re championing for the underdogs in games.
-
GOOD GOD NO!!!
As it stands, when Ruin spawns in a difficult to find totem in one of the newer maps, getting repairs done once one survivor is dead is quite literally impossible.
Changing the perk so it can’t be cleansed, this not able to be disabled will utterly broken and unbalanced.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Déjà Vu should reveal more gen auras and show the progress on each gen (like the Wraith and Legion add-ons).
If it showed more gens, how could it be used to avoid a 3 gen situation?
-
Cruel Limits & Monstrous Shrine for killer.
NOLB just needs a slight tweak so that it activates once gates are powered rather than open.
-
Hmm...
I’d have to say Bond. Especially with Open Handed. It just gives so much useful info even when it’s not giving info, such as knowing that a chase isn’t even remotely close to me, through knowing a survivor is running my direction and likely has the killer on their tail and I need to get the hell out of there.
-
@KurburBing said:
I just consider it essential for me. It takes the stress of finding survivors away and it doubles as a deerstalker and nurses calling. It’s the Swiss Army pocket knife of killer perks. It’s a super utility that does so much and I don’t see anyone run it. Like.. ever.
Of all the universal/generic killer perks, Whispers is the strongest when used well to triangulate an exact position on a survivor.
Most great for early game momentum, gets stronger as survivors fall, and almost always assures which gate to go to.
