But the spirit is the one that does the Thriller dance
-
they wouldn't be so bad, if every other box didn't give them, so it's possible to use 5 in a single game.
-
All of the following builds I run at rank 1:
Naked Hag: No perks, no add-ons, no survivors.
Basement Hag: (best on haddonfield, & The Game) Iron Grasp, Agitation, Monsterous Shrine, Territorial Imperative.
Fun Fact: With this build, you actually move faster with someone on your shoulder, then you do normally, as a 110 ms.Party Crasher Spirit: Discordance, pop goes the weasel, Overcharge, Ruin/ Huntress' Lullaby
Handsy The Clown: Resiliance, Spirit Fury, Bamboozle, Ruin/ Huntress' Lullaby (this build is the ultimate chaser build. pallets don't matter, windows can only be used once, and loops are dangerous.)
Legion: Franks Mix Tape/ Stab Wounds Study and a Mori (let's be honest, this is all he needs to troll a game off people)

I personally enjoy the salt, i mean, i find hilarious when people is pissed at me.I do to, to a degree. but there is a line. Keep it in the game, because it is just a game. RL threats should NEVER happen. And the fact that I have reported these people for such threats, and then seen them in my lobby the next day makes me feel... I dunno. Not good. You know?
Why do i wan't to play a game where people not only threaten to, but have, doxxed me for playing?
And since I know they can doxx me, that raises the very very real fear that the swatting threats could be more then a threat.
If you don't know what swatting is. it's where they send a fake 911 (emergency number in the US) call in to the police, and get them to send a team to bust in your door.

Tons of it. i've received swatting threats, I've been doxxed. And I absolutely refuse to play on PS4 with messages on. Because every other game i get hate spam. And I mean SPAM over and over. Homophobic and racist remarks in massive amounts.
It's a SERIOUS problem that the devs need to handle across all platforms. They simply don't do enough about the toxicity.
HA!
I'll link you to my steam account sometime.
One guy wrote me an entire paragraph, as i killed him with Hillbilly.
Another got so obsessed with me after, that I had to block him on steam, as he was spamming my comments. I don't mind, but I limited my salty survivor comments on my profile to two max.
lol 2 max is almost a good rule.

I don't think there is a hard cap on generator repair speeds, although there is an effective cap if you combined all the possible repair speed upgrades. It's part of the reason why there's not many perks that affect repair speed.Doesn't need to be. i can give you tons of vids of games where all gens are done in 3 mins with very little the killer can do. And these aren't just my vids.
I'm talking about it happening to Truetalent, Space Coconut, and other notables in the community.
A hard cap on gen repair speed actually might be a good thing. But I'de prefer making "new parts" part of the game. And survivors have to go find parts for the gens around the map, then install them to a series of skillchecks. Fail a skillcheck, and the repair will take longer.
The amount of parts needed per gen would need to be played with to find the desired game length. But yeah. Something does need to be done. It's simply not fun to run into a group of red rank survivors with nothing to lose, who just want to depip the killer by gen rushing the gens in 3 mins.
They don't get anyhting from it other then IRL giggles. No real BP, they black pip, ect. but it still; happens. A lot.

You don't see killers complaying about pallet looping or building looping, which is also boring as hell when you don't know how to counter it.What forums are you reading? Killers complain about that all the time.
I don't though, I think it's fun. It's mind games. If they are out looping you, they are better then you. Slow down,a nd think about what they are doing,a nd how to break the pattern. That's litterally all it is. Breaking a pattern.
The problem with that sentence is that because of the size of Killer hitboxes, the length of a lot of loops, and certain Perks, many, MANY loops cannot be mindgamed by the Killer if the Survivor isn't rank 50. I mean, for fucksake, infinites are still in the game.
yes, RNG can give a survivor an infinite loop. But that loop is only infinite, as long as you chase them through it infinitely. Try leaving to check your gens if you find yourself in a bad chase.
Short of an infinite loop, and you not having Bamboozle (this will block most inifinites, but not all) you can mindgame survivors out of every loop in the game.
Break the pattern man.
What Survivors are you going against that don't know how to hold W and occasionally hold S or stop moving?
I play rank 1-2 killer. And sit there all month long baby

If you run into a hag at rank 1 running no perks or add-ons. That's probably me.
If you run into a clown at rank 1 that runs nothing but hex's. That's probably me.
If you run into a rank 1 spirit that busts out into the thriller dance, and doesn't care that he's wasting time. That's probably me.Hag mindgames are EXTREMELY different from normal Killer mindgames. She's also top tier.
A good Clown is unloopable because no #########, his power is designed to do that.
Spirit also mindgames in much different ways than most other Killers and can counter looping very well. I should know—Spirit was the creature that got me to rank 2 for the first time. Most Killers do not have anti-looping capabilites like that. They will have to rely on manipulating the red stain or doubling back to mindgame a loop. The problem is, many loops are so long that this will more often than not end up hindering them more than anything, because any mistake the Survivor makes can be corrected by the simple obstacle of how much distance the Killer has to travel to reach the Survivor.
Correct. There is some level of knowing your surroundings, and knowing what loop they will want to go for next. And those are just my 3 favorite killers that I run the meme stuff on. I only mentioned them cause I've ran into a bunch of people at rank 1 that recognize my perk setups. (ie: I might be the only person running 100% hex at rank 1. Ruin, Huntress, Thrill, and Devour cause i do get people after the game going 'i knew it was you!")
I learned by watching Truetalent and Monto and other killer streamers, and watching, in specific, how they broke loops. Also playing survivor teaches you A LOT about breaking loops.
my three biggest tips for breaking loops are these:
1: Learn to recognize what a good pallet is and a bad pallet, and what makes a pallet bad/unsafe for the survivor to use.
2: Recognize that many loops have a long and a short side, and use that knowledge
3: Don't get emotional. Calm down, and think a step ahead.
I will confess that I've never had the oh-so-prestigious title of rank 1 Killer. But I have reached and held my own at rank 2 with Spirit, who is, in my opinion, a Killer with some of the most unique and complex mindgames in the game, ESPECIALLY since her power prevents you from seeing Survivors. If anything, I firmly believe I would be at rank 1 if rank reset didn't hit the next day and I decided to stop playing Spirit for whatever reason.
I believe that this qualifies me to say, yeah, I know what the hell loops are and how to deal with them. The problem is, it is far too easy for Survivors to deal with the Killer dealing with the loops.
There's no difference between who you play at rank 2 and rank 1. And I agree, the rank reset is arbitrary and messes up the skill levels of each rank, and absolutely ruins Lobby times for killers.
And you do sound like you know what you are doing. But it also sounds like you might be over investing in bad chases, and are a bit unwilling to just leave and go check gens. Knowing when this is a good choice is what keeps me at rank 1.
Every chase is a bad chase.
For the survivors! Muahahahahahahaha!
No but seriously, you aren't completely wrong in that sentiment

I'm sorry, no perks worth using from DLC?
Here's ######### you are overlooking, and just off the top of my headKillers:
Spirit Fury (100% top tier perk for 'chaser' killers)
BBQ and Chili
Ruin
Overcharge
Huntress' Lullaby (still my favorite hex, but it needs it's 5th hook power changed)
Discordance
BamboozleSurvivors:
Stake out: Stronger then you think
Tenacity
Dance with me
Lithe (put this with DWM for a super combo)
ALL OF JEFF'S PERKS ESPECIALLY IF YOU PLAY SOLO
DiversionI wont mention DS, if you don't think that's strong... no help for you. and Object of Obsession is REALLY REALLY strong for swf groups.
-
Boil over is actualy semi- viable. it really just requires you to go absolutely ham on the wiggle meter. And I do mean really going ham. I use a controller on PC for survivor.( So much easier to see behind you) And I have hopped off a couple peoples shoulders with it.But it required me to go down where I knew there wasn't a hook right next to me, turning my controller sideways, and using my palm on the stick.
This filled the meter and, funnily enough, stopped the killer in their tracks a couple times. I've tried using it with normal struggling, but it just doesn't work. So Here is my suggestion after using it for quite a bit:
Keep it exactly the same, but add the following scaling modifier to it.
Your wiggle meter fills 2/4/6% faster.
Here's my reasoning. Without going just absolutely ham, and hurting your hand you aren't going to get off that shoulder, unless the killer is going for a basement. Usualy you end up with a 90% full meter and you're like "Really? oh come on, this perk is useless"
By giving it a small buff to the wiggle meter, you will give Boil over users a fair chance of getting off the killers shoulder. And you keep it in single digit % so it isn't OP. Because, let's not forget. You can use this EVERY time you are on the killers shoulder.
Also: Dance with Me is really strong, by itself. If you know how to use it. But if you add Lithe... Wow. Super strong combo and worth the 2 perk spot.
edit: Also, Windows is really good. For pro and noob alike. And here's why: It's ALWAYS important to know if a pallet has been used before you get to the loop. This perk has saved my life in half the games I decided to take it. Simply because it showed me that my teammates blew all the god pallets.
-
There's a handful out their. There really needs to be another set of ranks above red.
I sit at rank 1-2, not trying. But every once in a while i come across people that i;m like "ok, they are just better then me."
-
I play Jeff, and my SWF group i play with all play meg.
Jeff really needs a pimp hat.

Eh, you are right about why he has 110 ms. But his power is weird. It's sooooo close to being way to powerful, with no counter play. But as it sits, it isn't.
I've been preaching this for a while, but the problem isn't his power, or his MS.
The problem is his redundant/ useless add-ons. He simply doesn't have the utility he needs to pressure the survivors.
He has 2 OP add-ons that are PURPLE. Both of them let him 3 hit without breaking chase. Which really doesn't have much counter play. Without those add-ons, you can prolong chases against him. With them, you are going down in about 30 seconds. And I want to stress, you only need 1 of these 2 add-ons that do the same thing in different ways to do this.
Fuming Mixtape isn't very good. it isn't red quality for him. A red add-on should be stand alone game changing. On the Wraith, that power is. On someone that has to deplete their power to use it, it is not. It can be useful with one of the Cool Down add-ons. (They have 2, but i'm pretty sure one is actually useless, and only Rulers should be used)
-
@Peanits said:
I don't think we'd ban for that. This isn't the type of game where you get a significant advantage with a mouse/keyboard.Only because survivor is easier with a controller. (360's and looking behind you are easier to pull off)
Mouse and keyboard do offer a significant advantage to a killer. I'm pretty sure anyone else who plays rank 1 on both pc and console will agree.
-
I run this at rank 1. Keep in mind, Franks Mixtape and Stab wounds survey make chases super easy. When you have those two, you don't need Sloppy and Bloodhound.
Without 3 hits:
Sloppy butcher, Bloodhound, Huntress' Lullaby and Ruin.
The two hex's are your game slowers. Huntress' Lullaby is really good once you get 2 hooks.
Sloppy and bloodhound make tracking super easy. Sloppy will make the blood pools very close together. And bloodhound makes them last longer. Which is great, since people will avoid healing against you, and just try and stealth you at generators. I can't count how many rank 1 survivors i've caught because their blood pools didn't fade.
With 3 hits:
Overcharge, BBQ and Chili, Huntres'' Lullaby, and Ruin.
More game slowing added with more anti-stealth. Plus, you will be rich in bloodpoints.

The powers idea is it make them stick to a loop, or stay next to that pallet they just used.
-
Ormond, and a couple of maps, have totem spawns on outside balconies.
When your totem spawns there it's like a beacon for survivors.
It's funny, totems seem to have actual spawn spots. Like when they spawn between a pair of tire piles, those little cubby holes in jungle gyms. But when I run my hex builds, most of my totems are out in the open, or next to gens. And most of the time, there will be 2-3 near eachother.

I disagree. His problem is being able to finish off survivors. The proposed change to him, where people have less of a meter, if they are injured, when hit by frenzy, should fix it.
OFC if they just fixed his add-ons they wouldn't need to.
The problem is, the best counterplay you have against a Frenzy in chases is timing pallet drops really well to stun Legion mid-dash, which is a very inefficient form of counterplay, because dropped pallets actually HELP Legion because his Frenzy timer pauses during vault animations.
That's not true. I will break it down for you, as I have been doing.
Yes, if Legion breaks his chase you can be in trouble. Unless you make him pick up the chase again. Which isn't very hard to do.
It's also pretty easy to make Legion keep chases he doesn't want, since a chase will stay active when the killer can't see the survivor, if the distance isn't to great. This means that if i turn around backwards and moonwalk as The Legion, you just need to not run far away. He could walk backwards, close his eyes, and sing the theme to Sailor Moon, but that chase wont break.
Trust me when i say that high rank survivors know this already, and make use of it.
So i guess the absolute core problem with The Legion is that you just need to get better.
also, his addons are redundant and don't offer much utility.
You're literally talking nonsense. If the Survivor stays close to the Killer, then the chase is considered "broken" when the Survivor is out of the Killer's line of sight for 5 seconds. You hear that? Five. Seconds.
Don't tell me to get better when you don't even know what you're talking about. If what you were saying was true in the slightest, then moonwalking after Frenzying wouldn't even be an exploit. It would just be a funny gag to entertain the Survivor and yourself.
I've broken line of sight for longer then 5 seconds, with a survivor 10 meters away, at a pallet, and the chase didn't break. I know how the chase mechanic works, that's why i looked away, and counted to 7, just to make sure i wasn't fast counting.
Either the games broke currently (possibly) or this is a legit counter.
Probably the first option, considering how damn buggy this patch is. From constantly spurting out blood when hit with Sloppy Butcher on Father Campbell's Chapel to Myers being unable to stalk if he can't see the lower half of the Survivor, there are so many glitches in this patch that I can't even count. Between the ######### new Survivor Perks, the terrible new Killer, the complications that came with the new map, and the mountain of bugs and glitches, I can say without hesitation that this is the most rushed patch in all of DBD, by far.
I wont argue with you there. I don't understand why they didn't iron things out with the new engine.

Or just, you know... Dodge.
You are not seriously saying that killers only slug DS users, are you?
"Or run that perk that lets you pick yourself up with it." Just out of curiosity, how often do you play as a survivor? I'm asking because you didn't even know how they are called.
About daily. I'm just high atm, and don't feel like looking it up.
And no, there are other times killers slug. They could be running a slugging build and be using that for map pressure.
They could slug cause you're getting greedy with loops and pissed them off.
They could slug cause they saw someone else they think they can get.
They can slug cause they are high and forgot they downed you.
But if you are getting slugged on the reg, you are probably running DS.
Yeah but we are talking about slugging to get the 4K.
Again, there's a perk for it, if it happens to you on the reg. It's not a big deal, and more trouble then it's worth most of the time, on the part of the killer.

I believe the general consensus of the community is SWF>Killer>Solo Survivor. Should the devs bring solo survivors up to SWF level and then Killers or the other way around?(This post ended up longer then i wanted, but ends with a reasonable solution)
They Already have been bringing Solo up to SWF level. In fact, their insistance to do that, but try to put out killers that can't compete with SWF is a mindset problem for them.
I don't understand why survivors are saying this kind of stuff.
They nerfed BBQ and Chili twice over (you can hide in a locker, remember? Plus Distortion)
They keep putting out second chance perks (Boil over, Break Down, DS, Deliverance)
As well as perks and general updates that give you info a SWF would have. ( Music changes when the killer is in a chase, when the obs. is chased everyone knows, After Care, and so on, there's a lot more)
I play a good amount of survivor, even though i main Killer. (To catch Prey, you learn about Prey) and I play in both SWF and Solo.
I do hate Solo survivor sometimes, but it's because I can recognize the problem. My teammates tend to be unreliable down in the double digit ranks.
No amount of patches and perks will make it so those people who can't manage anything longer then a 10-20 second chase, can manage longer chases. And if they do nerf the killer/ buff survivor that much, I will likely move on to another game.
The game shouldn't pander to the lowest skilled players. it should help those lower skilled players get better.
That's why i think they need to add something called "The Get Good Gym"
it would be about 1/4 of a map, with a few jungle gyms and pallet loops thrown in there. You would load in a killer or survivor of your choice, and practice their mechanics.
No bots, maybe a generator that only does skillchecks but never finishes.
This would let the lower skill people practice. Tired of failing skillchecks? Go practice on the broken gen.
Tired of being put down in 15 seconds?
go to the Jungle Gym and learn how to loop it. Then learn how to go from that loop, to the next quickly.
This would bring up the average skill level of survivors in the game. And you wouldn't get games where someone just got LeatherFace and spends the whole game practicing his chainsaw in a corner.

Survey to Killers:What would you do if:
1. SWF pops in with the names: I'mdrunk1shotperhook; Metwo; Playingdrinkingames; Theyrdrunk
2. When you find the SWF, they are running in circles around a hook or gen? (Seriously, as many SWFs that are toxic, what would you do if you run into one that is clearly screwing around to have fun?)Have fun myself. If they don't give a #########, why should I?
Ever wanted to down someone, then drop the slug in the corner, and play "whack a mole"
That's a good game to do it in, since they don't give a care about gens.
Ever wanted to try and slug EVRYONE?
Do it.
Ever felt like staring at a survivor as the entity takes them?
Do it, they clearly don't care.

For LF use carburettor tuning guide or the grease + the beast's marks.
Ruin, PGTW, BBQ and PWYF/NOED.
I kinda find stupid running noed on one shot killers, but that extra speed you get is awesome when using the chainsaw.
As the others said, loops are a nightmare for leatherface when not using speed addons. Good survivors won't drop the pallet because they will expect you to charge the chainsaw, so just M1 on them instead, works like a charm. This explains why survivors kept telling me I was respecting the pallets to much as LF. Now I've learned more!

Maybe buff the 1-2 survivor debuff a LITTLE. But really, it just needs to proc because of dead survivors. Then i would actually run it. On certain builds.

So, we've all heard the complaints about tunneling and camping. As a killer main, I don't camp unless the exit gates are open, and I try not to tunnel if it can be avoided. While filming a video getting all the Adept killer achievements, I ran a Hag game, which I've included below, minus my commentary. What you'll see is the following kill / hook order:
- Down and hook Meg.
- Kate saves Meg.
- Down and hook Kate.
- Kate uses Deliverance to unhook herself.
- Down and hook Kate.
- Nea saves Kate.
- Down Kate, but leave her to be picked up.
- Down and hook Nea (dead).
- Down and hook Meg (dead).
- Down and hook Kate (dead).
- Down and hook David (dead).
After the match, Kate stuck around to give me the following message:
"tunneling ######### i hope you choke on your dads dick you worthless [BAD WORD], go apologize to the trees for wasting the oxygen they work so hard for your pathetic excuse for an existence. [BAD WORD] #########." (sic)
Now, keep in mind, I was doing Adept, so I could only use the Hag's teachable perks. I didn't tunnel Meg when she was unhooked, I wouldn't have double-hooked Kate, but no one pulled her off. I left Kate to be picked up despite being able to kill her after she was saved by Nea. Kate was the second to last to die.
All things considered, I don't feel like I did anything wrong. You could say using Mint Rag and Rusty Shackles constitutes "camping" if I always port back to the hook when the save is made, but I never re-hooked anyone who was already injured aside from when Kate unhooked herself with Deliverance and there wasn't a different target to chase.
So, why exactly should killers bother to try to play by survivor "rules" for what's "fair" or "not toxic?"
You didn't. In fact, you are nicer then I am when I play hag.
If a survivor is dumb enough to trip my trap or makes a bad path after an unhook im clearly going to stay within TP range for... Well screw them, they were dumb.
That being said, there are no rules really, except those enforced by the game. And survivors that get 4ked are almost all not very nice if they choose to talk. (i like to offer people tips after the game when i 3-4k. And even being nice and trying to help people, i get SOOOO much #########)
I will state that I get stuff like that much less in the red ranks (against survivors that understand the game)

I forget. So what i do is every time I got to pick someone up, i now glance at the bottom of my screen as i pick up the person. If i see an extra option, i drop them, and Mori

Clown:
When a survivor runs into a jungle gym, throw the tonic in the middle. When a survivor is looping a pallet, throw your tonic down on the LONG SIDE of the pallet, and force the survivor to run through it or abandon the loop.
This mean this: Every pallet loop has 2 sides. Good pallet loops will have a long side (a path that takes longer to run around) and a short side. (A side that takes very little time to go around) Bad pallets have 2 short sides. And "God Pallets" Have 2 long sides. (think killer shack, or anywhere the killer HAS to break the pallet)
You throw the tonic on the side it will take the longest for them to get back to the pallet, and make them take that path. If placed right, the smoke will cover most of the loop, giving you a hit.Save your tonics for loops, if you aren't great with throwing them.
You shouldn't try to hit people with the tonic You want to overthrow, and make them run through it. This is because:
1: It's slow and will probably land behind them. And even if you hit them...
2: The slow doesn't last long after they leave the smoke, so the longer they are in it, the longer the slow. Which means, you will gain on them more, if they have to enter the smoke.
However, survivors wont want to enter that smoke. So it's absolutely great at herding them.
Try this: Next time you are chasing someone from one loop to the next, fully charge your tonic, and hit it against the next loop they are running for. I bet they break off and go for another loop. This should give you the time you need to hit them.
This has been "Clown 101" from Learning to Kill

edit: One last clown tip:
The clowns intoxication can slow survivors down enough that they SLOW VAULT windows they should FAST VAULT. Use that little bit of knowledge to your advantage when you can, but don't go overboard.

Audio Bug fix : I sound-hore as a killer main, and it's my main way of finding you hiding scum
Visual bug fixes:The suburban maps are very very survivor sided now (haddonfield and badham) due to basements being way way to dark (not the one i shove you in, the ones you do gens in)
bonus #2: Scratch marks and blood trails are litterally vanishing for some reason, and some ground types, they are almost impossible to see. This fix should be with the visuals.
And finally: Fix all the Clowns bugs!

Yeah, there limited beta usage is annoying. They actively REFUSED to update the PTB with the new changes so they could be tested.
All in all, BHVR has a big name game in a growing Genre of games. But is very much still a "Garage Company" in its mind.
That's why patch notes don't include all the changes.
That's why the main website still has the patch notes from the summer BBQ as it's most recent news.
That's why the developer vids they put out have a half hour of dead time on them.
I could go on, but i wont. I'm holding faith in my little, massively clogged, heart that these are the growing pains of a company that's doing it's best, and will get things polished eventually.

"No because I'm scared of SWF and will dodge"
is the full extent of replies on this thread.
No what I do when I see a 4 man swf at rank 1?
I put on the hag, and take off all her addons and perks.
And then I win.
I for one would love to know how many people are grouped in my lobby. It would help my killer selection, and make for more fun games for me. Nothing worse then finding out I decided to practice a killer im not great with, in a game with 4 sweaty SWF survivors.

McLean "We are aware of players that figured out how to follow players without triggering chase."
Cote "We've seen that. Obviously if that becomes... you know, it's always weird because then you'll go, 'oh, that was not the idea' and if this becomes the one way to really make the... then we're gonna make changes to make sure you're not gonna moonwalk towards people to make this work"
McLean "Because we do like when people figure out cool ways to do things we didn't think about. But if it becomes the only way-"
Cote "-Then its kinda dumb."
This is proof the Devs just read the forums, and don't actually play their own game with any degree of skill.
You can keep a chase going by staying within range of the killer. Even if they look away. Even if they are moonwalking with their eyes closed and humming the theme to A team..
The answer to the problem is for the survivor to stop playing scared, think about their actions, and how to prolong the chase., and run with a plan.
But I bet instead of putting the Onus for escaping the killer on the survivor, they break the chase mechanic even more.
Edit: Upon a bit more thought. I feel like they are about to Freddyfy The Legion.
What I mean is, his ability isn't really a problem in high skill games. People know how to deal with it. The chase isn't even that different as High skill survivors tend to keep the killer within the chase distance threshold. Just because that's how you pallet face them.
But you have a lot of lower skilled players crying something is broken, or unfair, or to hard to play against. So they will change it, to cater to the people that don't know how to use the mechanics of the game.

honestly, if they would just make his MS 100% when he's holding his chainsaw rev, instead of what appears to be 95%, it would fix him for me. It kinda prevents you from holding it to use at a good time. When he revs his chainsaw, his speed is decreased to 87.5%
That is horrible, and counters the small speed boost he gets from running. Why do they do ######### like that?

I feel like you still definitely get a significant positive benefit, in terms of distance covered, despite the stun. The stun is frustrating, but I just find it funny when I see Legions try to monitor gens across the map and choose to walk there @ 110% movement speed xDIt's not just the stun, it's also depleting your power before you get there. I can sorta see it useful with one of the two cooldown addon lines he has though. But "sorta useful" shouldn't be red, it should be purple. Just because something is red teir on one killer, doesn't mean it's just as useful on a different kille,r with a completely different playstyle.
The Legion's Red's should be like
Bloody Button: The Legion can tell how close a survivor is to bleeding out by the intensity of their aura.
- Allows the Legion to see the auras of all survivors inflicted with deep wounds.
This would be a viable addon IMO because 1: There are perks and stuff on the map to counter it.
2: It gives them a lot of utility, attached to their power, while not being completely op. -

I don't think Legion's addons are particularly more redundant/uncreative than addons for other killers. All killers have addons that apply the same effect where the rarity determines the magnitude of the effect. This is nothing new... I think Legion's issues lie mostly with his power. Regardless, addons shouldn't be the way a killer is reworked.@SmokePotion
The Red-addon is decent (definitely not as good as other Red addons tho) if you're a killer who likes to monitor gens a lot. I think using Legion's power as a method of mobility is pretty underrated. It could be parlty viable, if paired with one of the two different CD add-ons I guess. but still you are stunning yourself to find a gen to run to.

There is ZERO counter to this, it does not matter how good you are as a survivor you WILL go down to this 100% of the time.there is a counter to it. The chase doesn't break if you are somewhat close to the killer. I don't know the distance exactly, but I think it's around 10-15 meters. If you stay close, the killer will never lose chase. You can even back track a little, and make the killer start a chase again, that he isn't meaning to.
Just because you can't counter a play, doesn't mean there isn't any counterplay.
