If you look closely, you'll see that the game sees a peak around September, then it drops around February/March and then it grows back. The current drop doesn't seem out of the ordinary.
Still, I think they should do something more concrete about the DC epidemic. Personally it destroys my enjoyment both as killer and survivor, and I guess a lot of people share this feeling. A simple deserter penalty/timeout would do a lot imo.
It does when you see the size, and length. no pun intended. Yes there are some dips here and there. but nothing this substantial

and be sure the devs will not change their mind. and tbh decisive strike is even bs now. especially when i run enduring with/out spirit fury. It's just a thing for 4 seconds. If you play this perk now you hsould play sth better like adrenaline or something for the whole game and not just once per game ^^
huh? How would i run Adrenaline as a killer. Inquiring minds want to know.

You can't really juke a legion though. They can vault and have almost no missed attack recovery time, they can literally just chase after you while barely even using their brain and get you 100% of the time. Maybe you could hit them with a pallet but they can easily juke the pallet and even if they get hit it won't be long before they can frenzy again, so there's nothing you can do except prolong the inevitable.
With the nurse, you can totally juke her. Her power relies on prediction rather than persistence, and if you are unpredictable then she will have a much more difficult time catching you. She is punished when she makes a mistake or when you outsmart her. She has to make a decision on what to do based on what she thinks you will do, and you do the same.
When you are running from legion it isn't about juking and escaping, it's only about stalling. That's not very fun for either side and often it's a lose-lose situation. The survivor dies and the killer gets 1, maybe 2 kills and that's it. It doesn't matter if the other survivors escape, your game sucked ass and the killer's wasn't very good either. Even the ones who escaped probably had a boring game, sitting and doing some gens and then running out. Currently legion isn't good for the game, it makes things less fun for everyone. The devs should change the legion to actually do what it's supposed to do and encourage not tunneling rather than making tunneling the most viable option
See you sir, are on the right track. But seem to be frustrated over.... Hooks?
They have no real missed attack time sure, and can vault. But if you time their frenzy and vault at the right time, they are left on the other side of the pallet then you, same as windows.
"it's not long till they have their frenzy back" Yes, without add-ons it's a handful of seconds till they can vault again. But then it's gone almost immediately and needs a hit to carry on. Which means he is very succeptable to being left on the other side of obsiticals.
Have you tried letting him hit you the second time on one side of the pallet before vaulting? This costs him a chunk of time. and can make him drop a chase of you do it right.
and again. Just cause he hooks you doesn't mean anything. Ask yourself how long you ran him, and compare that to good player game times (how long it takes people to drop gens at rank 1) if you run him for what would be a gen or two, you did a good job.

And I'm tired of people trying to justify a broken killer.
1) nurse blinks can be disorienting to the player, they need to know where the survivor is exactly or where they will likely be to blink successfully and get a hit. Plus after they blink they need to hit or become stunned. Legion can just injure someone then m1 them or wait for their bleedout timer to expire while keeping them in sight. Nurse is too slow without blinks for that.
2) the difference is there is a chance to stealth away from a blinking nurse, albeit small, still a larger chance than stealthing away from a legion.
3) Legion is just a survivor with a knife. So they can do everything a survivor does except slam the pallet down. Nurse does take time to get good with, Legion takes 5 minutes and you reached his skill cap.
4) There's a reason he is now king of tunneling.
People are going to hate on legion cause they want to do so, the killer is basically no fun at all to go against. Might as well just go on the hook and die and save your time. Nothing in your pretentious, insulting statement is going to change it. Feel free to ask your parents for confirmation of that.
1: Running fast is disorienting to Legion as well, it's why 360's work.
2: You cant see scratch marks when frenzied, this makes it far easier to juke a legion then a nurse of the same skill level.
3: You are wrong, but right. he is a survivor with a knife. But he has mechanics to learn. it took me as long to learn legions ins and outs, as it took the nurse.
4: You sir haven't played against a tunneling hag.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/52027/hate-legion-lets-compare-them-to-nurse
1: The nurse heavily relies on line of sight and if you break the Nurse could completely lose you. Whenever I play against nurses, I break line of sight and usually, although not all the time, they will move on because they lost me. If the Legion loses line of sight, he can find you again easily because he has 110% movement unlike the Nurse who is extremely slow so all the Legion has to do is move around to look for you. Additionally, if a player mends and Legion stabs another player, he will just find you again due to being in his TR and due to the deep wound, you probably wont have enough time to completely get out of his TR before you drop down.
2: Legion has a small counter-play and even if you're really far he can just catch up. Although he loses his momentum he can easily wait for his power gauge to fill up enough to get a stab on you. An example was one of my games last night, I had a daily with Legion but when I stabbed a player I saw someone who quickly left my TR but all I did was go to their general location and find them which I did.
4: Although you can prolong a chase against a Legion, if you know how to juke a nurse properly by breaking line of sight and hoping they are not a god nurse, you can completely lose them however if you are against a Legion who doesn't give up on chasing you, you are almost guaranteed to be downed.
Legion is weak however he is really unfun to play against, especially if they have good addons.
Nurse does not require line of sight. Sure cornfields are a ######### for he,r but they are for literally everyone, including legion.
But a decent nurse, not even a great one, knows to blink zig zag to find survivors.
-
I honestly think posts like this should incure a strike or warning for a ban.
They encourage people to d/c and make the game less fun.
Check out steam charts. DBD has lost 27% of it's players over the last 2 months due to game freezing on load, and people d/cing for whatever reason.
No one wants to play a 3 survivor game, and it's killing the game we love.

No it isn't easy to do since it's impossible. Chases currently work from killers LOS and he's the one controlling it meaning you have no chance if he knows what he's doing.
If you really belive that it's possible then show me. Add me on steam and we can test how easy it is to do. If you'll loop me for at least 1-2 minutes I'll believe you that's it's possible. I'm not really a Legion player but don't believe that any decent Legion player can be looped for longer those 1-2 minutes.
If it's as easy to do as you claim then it shouldn't be a problem right ?
What rank are you, survivor? Seriously?
every red rank survivor i play with knows how to manipulate this mechanic.
If you are running AWAY FROM LEGION, yes, he just needs to walk backwards and go "corner this way, so they gotta cut right"
If you see him moonwalking, and circle back around to the loop you just left and connect the LOS, the chase picks back up. It really really really really is not hard. You just got to be confident.
Ive seen this done, and done it myself. Try it.

here is the thing:
in order to be a god like nurse, you need tons of practise. you gotta play her for hundrets of hours to master her.
legion is like, press shift, stab them, profit.
also, legion is just no fun to play against.
you get stuck in an incredibly long chase, with no way of winning it, as he will continuously catch up to you. you get chased for ages with no way of winning. that is no fun.
at least a nurse ends the chase quick AND needs skill.
This is completely untrue. It took me about 2 days to get her blink down. If that.
Legion is weak to a pallet to the face, and can be lead to them reliably by any half decent survivor. In fact legions power is harder to master then nurses. it leads you to waste time.
Nurse you gotta hit someone 2 times, no matter what. You just have to learn blink range, which is NOT HARD. She really is just another killer, with a very oppressive power.
No matter how you shake it, Nurses power is simple, and intuitive once you use her a bit. It does not take as long as you think.
Legions power is rather weak, but kinda fun to play. It makes you want to break chases and make more people bleed. Not a good idea 50% of the time. If you take a pallet during a chase it hurts you worse then any other killer. You can be countered by Lithe or Sprint burst. If you moonwalk against a survivor that knows the game, they will exploit it, and if you wish to continue the tactic, will waste more time then M1ing them.
People keep complaining that they don't have fun against Legion. So my argument is... What are you having fun playing? Civilization?
edit: and just putting this out there again. Forcing the bleedout with deepwounds is still a longer chase then most nurse chases. In fact it's a rather averagish chase time of around 45-60 seconds till you hook and get to move on.
Keep in mind, all gens can be done in 4 mins.

This is just painful to read. How could have any survivor looped you as Legion for 5 gens if you were using moonwalking. That's literally impossible unless you stare at them and don't use your power which would mean you don't know how to moonwalk properly.
Also you stating that it's easy to do means that you are capable of looping decent Legions that moonwalk that long ? If so I'd love to see some proof of such amazing skill in action.
When you moonwalk you are breaking sight of the survivor. It's not hard for them to loop back around you. and pick up the chase again.
It's not a good tactic against decent players.

no one cares if its a losing way to play its boring as #########. that is the problem with legion. every chase is the same because his power ignores pallets and windows, and without his power he's a 110% killer that will not down you. legion found you? start a timer and every chase will end before that timer is up because there's literally nothing you can do about it. some people actually believe this is a good thing for the game instead of getting better at the game and learning how to end chases quick without a killer that was built for hand-holding
Yes, his power is to jump pallets and windows. Not ignore them.
Hit him with a pallet sometime. It's a lot easier to hit a frenzying legion with a pallet, then a blinking nurse. (And more useful, since she can blink right after, and legion wont be able to frenzy for a few. And if he does it to early, you can refatigue him)
It's really not handholding. You know you can mend right?
You can mend while looping him. You can mend when he runs after someone else, you can mend right before it puts you down.
Remember, you can mend.
I feel like people complaining about legion are the same people that go down to borrowed time.

Making a timer count down during a chase when it's specifically designed not to isn't intended, no matter how hard you dismiss it. You don't need to moonwalk for it to work. @SmokePotion
Again, bloodhound has existed for.....ever. Also, i just want to point out the math here, as well as the counter play.
Deepwounds has a 30 second counter on it that starts to tick after the killer no longer has line of sight of his target for 3 seconds. This is a 33 second chase at it's base. And it's pretty much impossible to break a chase immediately, even if you turn around and moonwalk immediately. 33 seconds is 1/4th of a generator or almost half if 2 are working it.
Killer then needs to go to his kill and pick it up, this chase is now closer to a minute.
All of this is ignoring the fact that decent survivors arent scared of legion, and force him to pick up chases he's trying to break, by making him see them. My longest chase playing DBD was trying to do this cheese tactic against a rank 4 survivor. They literally ran me for 5 gens, with deepwounds on the whole time. It is not hard, in the least bit, for the survivor to use this mechanic against Legion. And it is a bad tactic.
And before you try to say i must be bad, and don't know how to counter loops. I'll remind you that I'm a very Vocal Hag main that plays rank 1 naked. I specialize in 110 ms killers. I find them the most fun, but I am also a decently known Clown player at rank 1 too. I'm no stranger to countering loops.

@SmokePotion Mechanic? Last I checked it wasn't intended. Nurses mechanics are.
It is intended. It's not intended to moonwalk to your kill, sure. But if you cant juke a moonwalker, you got other problems.
It is completely intended to take bloodhound and follow the blood trail. This is, however, a losing way to play.

@Mc_Harty said:
Call me when the Nurse can exploit game mechanics designed to hindered her, then I'll start hating her more then Legion.
You mean following a blood trail and letting someone bleed out? Sure, if you want a chase that lasts at least 1 gen, if not 2, you can do this cheesy move. And if you face camp you might even get 1 kill that game. You are complaining about a killer using a bad mechanic that takes to long.
As for cheesing mechanics designed to hinder her: Nurse ignores all game mechanics pretty much. So your argument here, is invalid. She has no mechanic meant to hinder her past her short fatigue after blinks and a 95% move speed.

Good job at attempting to evade point number 4, the strongest one. If a legion is tunneling you, you will not escape that match. As soon as the deep wounds timer is on you, you are marked for death.
As for point 1, its rare for me to ever match up against a Nurse I cannot mindgame. Since it hardly ever happens, I feel like there are barely that many good nurses. Decent ones yes, but they don't end up killing me even if they wanted me dead.
Legion at base takes no skill. Thats the ######### issue. Why would anyone bother learning cool trickshots and tips when they can just spam M1 with no cooldown at 1000% movement speed and get an easy 4k. If you play legion and genuinely dont get a 3k (Hatches dont really count) then you are just bad at pressing M1.
Nobody plays legion without addons. If he's playing naked, then maybe 1 or 2 people will get out. If he is using any half-decent addons then just stop acting like it takes 15 years to down someone when I can do it in 15 seconds.
point 4 wasn't sidestepped. In fact, if any half decent killer tunnels you, you are dead. If you are upset about tunneling, this is the wrong post for it.
You ever tried to escape a clown that tunneled you, or a hag? How about a Leatherface or Billy? C'mon man, stop thinking with your emotions.

It's all a matter of taste. In my experience. Every single killer is Viable at rank 1, if you put enough love into them. The pig is better then people give her credit for. She has a decent game slower in her kit. The traps aren't meant for kills. But if you throw a tampered timer and an extra box on the map, you can usualy get 1 head pop :)
Things to help as the pig:
1: Learn your TR range. This is so you can walk to gens, and crouch just outside the range and sneak up on survivors. This will save you time. And time is Killer HP.
2: Sometimes it's best to throw someone on a hook without a hat. Ie: If you've hooked a couple people, but gens are popping fast, you want to save a hat for the guy rushing gens down. This will make him stop for a bit.
3: After you've passed out party hats, check your cake. AKA: Trap a couple people, then flush your boxes, not your generators. Especially against SWF. SWF will stop doing gens until their team pulls the traps off. (not always, but it is common)
4: Don't bother trapping someone if the gates are open, unless you have 2 traps. That way you can force 2 people to stay so the hatch wont open.

To be made actually decent and worth considering the range of its effectiveness needs to be removed. Make it map wide. It's only a ping, not aura, and it requires the survivor to run around recklesslesly for it to even activate. That seems balanced to me. Current state no ones running it.
nah you're using it wrong. it absolutely doesn't need any of that. it's amazing how it is, and I use it across all ranks with great success man.

@Ryuhi and @SmokePotion : I said clicking is necessary exactly BECAUSE it annoys killers. Teabagging works too, but if one really craves for attention, flashlight clicking is the way to go.
Because that's the best thing about the game: provoking and taunting/being provoked and taunted. Countless times I've been baited and destroyed, resulting in me going into a blind rage, impotently smashing my keyboard, swearing to play as dirty as humanly possible in all my future games... and just like that, I have driven survivors crazy salty by annihilating those vermin the most #########-ish way you can imagine.
Most of my games are with nice people btw, friendly, "gg gl" all around, regardless of match results. Most people would say if someone is trolling you, just don't let it get to you. And sure, there is some wisdom in that. Except being wise is boring. Being angry and making others angry, that's where the fun is.
Ahh, see, we have fundamental differences in how we see the game.
The survivors shouldn't be able to troll the killer. It is 100% against the point of the game.
Sure, if they can loop me, and pallet me in the face, and want to point at me, or drop a couple teabaggs to "ha-ha" me, that's fine, and earned. They are trying to keep the killer on them after a chase is initiated.
That is different from someone taking DS (or not but in the current patch they all got ds, which will lose you the game for chasing at the wrong time) and hunting down the killer, and being an annoying ######### the whole game.

The survivors are all already dead. It's in their Bio's for the most part. It's why i always wondered why they are called survivors. None of them survived a damn thing.
Dwight, Meg, Claudette, and Jake all died lost in the woods. They weren't super creative with these back stories, but the game was brand new.
Ace poofed when all his underworld debts were being called in.
Nea died spray painting the Nurses home (the asylum)
Feng essentially killed herself with depression and drinking
David is hinted at dying from a bad underwold debt collection (maybe he went after ace?)
Adam died in a train wreck.
Jeff.... probably passes out in the cold snow and dies of to many cheeseburgers.
Kate is the only survivor to be described as actively taken while alive, and her backstory is great. But a little lame cause she didn't escape a clown. However, if you take a living person to a plane of the dead, are they still alive?

@George_Soros said:
@Ryuhi you mean you got color blindness or similar issues? That makes it tough I hear. But unfortunately, clicking is still necessary. 4-5 charges are just not enough.
How is clicking at all needed? Im confused by your reasoning here. You can communicate with the provided emotes and movements given to you. I should point out that everyone knows these signals too. Like Teabagging for a heal, pointing at a hooked survivor to signal someone to rescue while you finish the gen. Motioning to follow you after unhook so the person follows you to heal since you only heal under hook if you have the perk for it.
None of that requires a click. And 4-5 charges is plenty. If you look at the current charges of the flashlights, you can see that this is exactly how they were intended to be used.
-
Are you still planning on nerfing Spies from the Shadow into being a worse version of Whispers?
-
Nurse.
Im sick and tired of hearing about her being the best killer in the game.
I don't think she is, I consider Spirit stronger, and Hag just under her, simply because hag traps can be countered on loops (my run path traps will still catch people all game though, so I just gotta flush the person off that loop and i win the chase, and that's not to hard)
my reasoning for spirit being stronger is this: Spirit doesn't need add-ons either. And spirit doesn't take a bunch of special training to get good with. you can pick her up, and use her decently, and your skill will improve as you go.
Nurse you will start out a birthday card without money in it. You'll just get trashed.
After being in the trash a while, you'll be recycled into a decent killer, top tier even. but not markably better then the other 2 top tiers. (i consider Billy A tier, but not s)
-
There's a lot to consider with balance. But for me, I look at what they are supposed to do, as well as chase times and map pressure.
If their power can't be used due to drawbacks, or requires add-ons to function close to properly, it's weak.
Examples of these: Freddy Requires add-ons, Leatherface is only fun if you are actively handicapping yourself, and Legion needs add-ons to vs decent survivors.
Honestly, I haven't really seen a "to strong" killer. Old Nurse was op, i've seen vids of that. (but then again, those were the days of endless window loops, and pallets every 10 meters. So she was probably balanced for that enviroment) But nothing has released to strong in a while. I think they are scared of doing what most games do, releasing something a bit OP, and scaling it back after people have their fun for a week or so.

most of the reason survivors do it to killer is because they are either confident in their looping skill, or at least their ability to waste the killer's time. Also because they are in comms with their friends and can make sure they gain map pressure if you take the bait. I usually ignore them and then let them waste time not working on a gen while i chase other survivors/try to spread map pressure. Its still incredibly obnoxious though, and not intentional gameplay. Wasn't there a point where it could straight up cause people to dc as well?
this is what I do, and the right choice. Flush the gens, because you are likely being rushed.
-

Because that's clearly how flashlights work in RL :)
I know I know, realism is not the most important factor. But you need to understand, clicking is very much part of the game. For annoying killers, for calling the attention of a fellow survivor to something, and just for fun as well. Don't get too worked up about it. If it truly annoys you, just catch and kill the survivor who does it. I mean, if you can't catch them, that's on you. No need to ask devs to change something only because "I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE".
That actualy is how it works IRL. Just in a longer way. Turning something (anything) on and off quickly puts strain on the power source, and the circuit as a whole. Meaning, a battery drains much faster when being clicked on and off, just like your power bill goes up higher if you decide to turn your kitchen light into a strobe light.
This game is quiet. It's meant to be quiet. Survivors don't make many sounds, on purpose. This clicking goes against every bit of the game. It goes against the point of the flashlight, it goes against the theme and feel of the game.
If you want to talk to a survivor, you got 2 emotes that covers everything your gonna say with a flashlight. You have no purpose in communicating with the killer. If so, Killers would have emotes too.

If you get triggered by clicking or tbagging killer is not for you. Its just this simple. Getting mad will only make you play worse and if you actually chase guy who can loop you quite well you are wasting your precious time unless he is breaking pallets fast.
However there is very simple solution. You need to realize that person actively mocking you is wasting time. In a game that is all about time. Just try to make them follow you as you chase someone else (don't break chases, but switch targets when have opportunity) and laugh at their 30 iq Mog brain.
All kind of bm is like words: you decide if it has effect on you.
I like how you are telling this to me, a guy that's been rank 1 since before you owned the game. A guy that plays against known streamers and youtubers and not only has fun, but wins.
A guy that plays killers at rank 1 with no perks or add-ons, because he can.

But when you are not looking at the survivor, you are not in a chase?
I still remember all the survivors answering "just stay in chase" when bloodlust breaks repeatedly at some loops.... but now its an issue suddenly =)
I haven't needed to do the "no look" cheese since the PTB. And MOST of the legions I play against don't do it. Not since we figured out that putting a CD add-on on feral frenzy is far, far more effective.
No look cheesing makes a chase last way, way to long. You can do it, sure. But you are losing at least 1 gen (if you are lucky, remember that people genrush legion hard)
It's actually funny. Legion isn't actually a strong killer, unless you perk him right (read: perked to your style, there isn't a one true setup but I favor a gen protector build), and know how to apply map pressure. But people act like he's the nurse (but for some reason they are ok with he nurse... Who ignores walls... And floors... And not legion who...Jumps windows and pallets, unless smacked with a pallet, and takes 4 hits of his power to down which will stun him twice, base)
Let's be honest. Content Creators made this problem. This is an opinion based on feeling, and not facts. Peoples favorite creators hate on legion and actively D/C when they see them, and their followers start doing the same. Those people meet at least 3 others per match that see this happen, and start to do it. And it spreads. As the games get worse and worse, more and more people join the hate.

I like the idea of map specific mori's.
It would be great if i could carry someone who is on their last hook to, like a corn thresher on the coldwind map, thrown off the top of the large boat on the swamp (head dive splat!) or maybe even being able to use your killers normal mori in the basement.
The thing with these moris is that, to be fair, will have to be area's you'll need to take your kill to. There should be a couple per map,and they can only be used if the survivor is on death hook. This would make the game more fun, while not giving the killer a markable advantage like a Mori normally would, since you have to bring the survivor to the kill, like a hook.
In fact, it might give the survivors an advantage, if the killer sticks around to watch the animation.
This is a good idea though. The best part of Friday the 13th the (failed) game, were the environmental kills.

Yeah, i thought of that when I was writing it. It would need some coding finesse since time is measured in charges (each charge being roughly 1 second IRL unless modified, like with the toolboxes instructions)
Thanks again for helping me flesh out my original idea to come up with this more fair one (on paper)

I didn't actually ask it to cater to my needs; I did the opposite. I listed ways I deal with it, I mentioned an easy adjustment that wouldn't change the flashlight usage but just the audio cue, and ended with "It'll never happen. You can either play the match and ignore the flashlight clicker, or go afk and watch TV or something."
The point of the first paragraph was that people shouldn't be rude about some players having a problem with the flashlight clicking noise, because it's not necessarily about "wah, someone in a game was mean to me." Maybe I wasn't clear enough in my intent, though.
his answer shows both the problem with the community (it was trollish and dissmisive) but also shows exactly what's happening. For the past couple of months they have been losing players.
A quick look here: https://steamcharts.com/app/381210
will show you that they have lost about 20% of their average players in the past 2 months. (a little bit more, but i don't feel like doing maths) And they just released a big content announcement. There should have been a big spike.
People are tired of the BS they put up with. No matter if that BS is troll clicking on flashlights, last man alive refusing to hatch and just hiding, Face camping, and this horrible freeze before the game that hasn't been fixed even though they did a big patch after.

NoeD is handy for Legions who don’t want to constantly use Feral Frenzy. Gotta remember the legendary M1 Legions, those who take not healing as an advantage with Thanatophobia. I’d suggest for anyone who likes to use that to their advantage that they should take Thanatophobia, Stridor, Nurse’s, and either NoeD (end game) or Sloppy(all game). It’s a good combo for those who like to use M1 and not waste frenzying on someone who is injured, but that’s just a preferred build of mine. ;)
This is why I take a CD add-on with him. Cause I like to frenzy, hit them, and then M1 to finish them.
And since most people don't heal vs legion, this is my whole game.

I think your normal killer rank should be half of it.
So, for example, if I am a rank 1 killer, playing my main who has a personal rank of 1, the average of those two is 1, so I am still a rank 1 killer.
But if I am playing the Wraith, who I haven't played in two months except for dailies, my rank 1 should be added to it's rank 20, and my rank should be the average, rank 10.
i could see something like that working.
I consider myself an absolute butt Huntress killer. But even though I consider myself that, no one below rank 9 really stands a chance against me. But I don't stand a chance against the ranks I normally play against when i use her, so I don't. Which adds to why I play the game less. If I can only play 2-3 killers effectively at my rank, and i get bored of them, i'm gonna play another game. And if I can't get into a game cause it freezes or it keeps giving me 3 man games, I play another game.

No
on what basis? Survivors still get the saves the item is made for, with a slight adjustment to how fast games are currently. (a loss of 1 charge, the battery charges werent changed, just converted straight from time)
So what's your arguement besides no?
Any sort of "no" without some kind of thoughtful post explaining why, will be seen as "i like clicking at killers" And i will move on.
But thanks for bumping my post :)

What are you talkign about?
That it got 3 times easier to pick someone up from the ground? Thats been a thing since the legion patch now.....
@GrootDude said:
Are you talking about the new rank system? If so then lemme tell you survivors are also being punished for playing effectively.
They reverted the pick up changed, that's why you see so many flashlights now
Treeman: Not as bad as killers. Killers can have perfect games, and depip.
I don't see why people cry about slugging. "it's boring!" okay.... is sitting on a hook for around the same amount of time different? No. No it's not.

1: Generators to require parts in order to be fixed. (at least one each. I've play tested this, and it works amazing. Try it in a Kill your friends. Make the survivors need to loot a chest before doing a gen, and see how much more fun that game is. For everyone)
2: Flashlights having finite amount of times they can be turned on, with similar stats to the times they have now (so 3 save attempts for yellow, 4 for green, 5 for purple, wihtout batteries, each level of batt adds 1 charge, and adding an optic removes a charge from your total)
I have 2 posts that elaborate on these in the wishlist that I plan on keeping alive until a dev comments on it.

"You can use it to your hearts content, attempt every save, and run around clicking at me."
That's concerning. So you are saying that a survivor with a flashlight, can run around clicking at you, and still attempt every save. Every Save. EVERY SAVE.
E V E R Y S A V E
While running around. Clicking at you. And attempt every save.
This forum, man. You just got to like it. Threads like this are gold. Pure amusement.
Where is your arguement? that i should spend the whole game chasing the guy with ds that clearly wants to be chased so 3 people can rush gens.
Or are you arguing that flashlights don't last that long? Cause they do. They very easilly do with a yellow flashlight and yellow bat.
This forum man, filled with people that don't know how t
oplay.@Orion you'de still get plenty of uses out of it. It might actually have a finite use if you did it that way. Like "you get 4 chances to save with this" that's 4 chances to pull someone off the killers shoulder and extend the chase. That's a ton. In fact i'm liking what you are suggesting here. An actual charge amount.
Take a yellow flashlight with no battery upgrades. Make that 3 power ons (3 save attempts)
Green is 4
Purple is 5
Each battery level adds 1 more charge, and each optics level removes 1 charge.
Bam, now we have a ballanced piece of equipment that only does what it's meant to do.

It really disagree. I find killer to be relaxing after being tunneled, camped, slugged and legioned all day as a survivor.
Get better. If you are getting targeted each game, it's because you're making yourself a target. Either with pathing, or your ability to actualy lose the killer.
Not trying to be one of those "get gud" kids. this is legit advice. Check your pathing, and practice losing killers by muddying tracks, loops, and any other trick. If i see a weak link in a game, I will hammer it as a killer.
As for the post: Killer is stressful because the onus of time is on them. They have to kill these 4 people before they get 5 gens. And even when you catch them, you have to worry about flashlights, and people kneeling at your hook (something i am very vocally against, and any swf i'm in will not do this. ) You have to actively hunt and track.
But survivors start not far from an objective to do (because these generators are already repaired, they just need wiring work, not parts...) and pretty much have to hold one button, and tap another until they hear the heartbeat. You can clearly see it's easier, as most streamers, stream survivor. It lets them talk with their fans more. A killer has to focus a lot more, and for longer periods.
-
Is it just me or does literally every single lobby get flooded by 4 man SWF teams today?
It's not just today.
I only play survivor in SWF, because of the freeze bug. If one of us freezes, we can all back out of the game.
-
to often. I don't play as much as i used to because of it.
It's not fun when a survivor freezes and only 3 load in with me as a killer. It's not a fair game, and it's a waste of my time.
I only play survivor with SWF now, cause if one of us freezes, the other three can task manager out of the game before they do.
Please fix this BHVR. I see all these updates, but nothing that fixes this.

They already have this. It's a bit meh if you ask me for what it is.
Pretty sure it's the bottom one, haven't had one of these in a while.
Yeah I know they have the concept in the game, for speeding up the gens. This add-on would still be useful for what i propose. allowing you to take in your own part, and not hunt for one.
In the future, maybe read a whole post.

Just played a match as Legion. Building up my BP reserves for the new killer and survivor soon. Using BBQ and used streamers this time.
Stake out with an engineers toolbox, prove thyself, and a half decent ability to hit skillchecks, with a friend working with him.
Yeah i'de say that's about 20-30 seconds for a gen.
It's fun that all these broken gens don't need parts or anything. I guess the entity is really bad with wiring.
