  • The Pig isn't too good of a killer. How ever she's easy to play, hard to master. Pig is probably the 2nd most mind game intensive killer there is. I would recommend getting her as she can be quite fun to play. Hope this helped <3

  • People keep saying how bad Rank 1 is, and I honestly don't see a problem with it. I'm a Rank 1 Wraith Main. I can get 4k's most of the time no problem without using NOED (If you're a good enough killer skill wise, you don't need noed) and I get to rank 1 every season. Also you don't need to be Nurse or Hillbilly or "you'll be laughed at". There are plenty of "Hillbilly's" as you say. Spirit is debated by most of the community BETTER than Hillbilly. Hag is also a very viable option at higher ranks. Well, ALL KILLERS can be played at Rank 1. You just got to know what you're doing. Our most recent killer "The Plague" is a VERY balanced killer. Low high tier - High mid tier. She's basically a better Huntress. The only thing that Plague doesn't have going for her is map pressure.

Anyway, the conclusion. You don't need to be Nurse or Hillbilly to do well at higher ranks.

EDIT: Also Legion isn't trash tier, neither is Leatherface. They're both under-rated killers. Leatherface is just Hillbilly without the mobility. Legion has tracking, "decent" chase capabilities and slight mobility. Leatherface is mid tier, Legion is low mid tier.

Who uses DS anyway? there are so many better perks out there.

DS nerf will just cause Survivors who think they need it to move on to better perks ironically putting Killers in a worse situation than before the DS nerf they campaigned so hard for in the first place.

DS wasen't a huge problem to deal with when it was used by inexperienced survivors, it was a problem when used with experienced survivors, also it was (still is for now, at the time of writing this) the best survivor perk, DS is the equivalent of how survivors complain about Legion, make a mistake? You don't get punished for it.

  • You don't have much time to react to this, how ever a flashlight is quite helpful against a Spirit. If you're at a loop with a **thrown down** pallet, and she all of a sudden stops walking, it either means she's phasing or trying to fake you out. Shine your light at her, if the beam focuses its the real thing, if it doesn't it means she's phasing and you're most likely safe to vault the pallet.

It took me 6 months to get it during on and off again attempts and I had the last person dc on me countless times. I think the dc should count but hey that's just me and you can still get it if they hop into a locker.

Just grab them out and drop them on the ground and press the kill button=profit.

You can't mori them when they're on the ground with tombstone.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

Because there should be a counter to being instantly killed.

IMO the achievement is what's stupid, not the fact you can avoid a tombstone. It should never have been a thing to begin with.

Also if you're just playing games for achievements then you should find a new hobby.

I don't play games just for achivements, I've done pretty much everything in DbD besides the achievements and getting that stolen from you because of an ######### who abuses game mechanics is frustrating. You wouldn't know.

  • People don't hate The Legion because they're weak, its because there's no skill in using him/her. There's no counter play to his ability once in a chase, being chased by a Legion is like the same feeling of being camped, you feel helpless and you can't do anything about it.

  • @RoKrueger said:

Man/woman up and try again. I isn't called ACHIEVEMENT for nothing

One Brit’s opinion. He thinks Freddy is garbage and I regularly 4K with Freddy and enjoy all the salt that comes with.

A streamer’s opinion is no more important than anyone else’s.

I’m sure everyone thinking this has mastered her in less than a day, discovered all her nuances, gone through her perk/addon/offering combos to come to such a conclusion.

Maybe we can wait till she’s out of PTB to make this call?

Freddy is trash tho, just because you can 4K as him doesn't mean he's good. I'm sure if you played any other killer I can guarantee you would have a better time

  • @IronKnight55 said:
Amanda (The Pig) is a good killer. I play as her a lot in the red ranks and do very good most of the time. She isn't the best killer in the game, but she is far from being bad.

As said with the fella saying Freddy is underrated. Pig relies a lot on RNG to stall the game. She's also not very efficient as other killers.

  • @SnakeSound222 said:
What? Pig and Doc as low tier and Leatherface as mid tier? Their positions should be switched. Leatherface's chainsaw is easy to dodge and requires him to be right on top of the Survivor to do anything. At any other distance, he's a powerless Killer. At least Doc and Pig have some way to try and stop pallet drops and vaults. Once you get the timings right for Doc, you can use his stun effectively most of the time. As for their perks, Monitor and Abuse is a very good perk (especially on stealth Killers, you can easily sneak up on Survivors), Overcharge can catch Survivors off guard and make tapping the gen after you kicked it dangerous, and Surveillance is now one of the best gen defense perks in the game (far from "isn't that bad anymore").

How would Leatherface not be mid tier? He's Hillbilly without the movement. "But you can only use his chainsaw when Survivors are out in the open" isn't a valid argument as same goes for Hillbilly. I put Doctor and Pig as Low tier simply from experience. I've been playing Pig a little more recently and from experience she relies on RNG. Its possible for all survivors to escape from their trap on the first attempt. Rendering your power completely useless. Doctor's shock on the other hand is only helpful in short loops/T-L walls. Every thing else Doctor is just an M1 killer. Same goes for Pig. And yes, it was a mistake on my part for saying M&A was just an "ok" perk. I'm not sure what I was thinking of at the time.

It saddens me that everyone says Freddy is the worst DLC. He's not that bad, he's just underappreciated :frown:

Freddy is the worst killer in the game, doesn't mean he can't get kills. Its just he isn't nearly as effective as other killers. Even a killer like Pig or Wraith do a much better job and they're not that far ahead on the tier list.

for starting survivors, SprintBurst Adrenline, self care, and (DS, unbreakable, were gonna live for ever, or Deliverance)
Doing so will give you the most advantage as you learn the game! GL and HF!

For Killer side thats exactly what I run on my Wraith and Trapper (How ever on Wraith I switch between BBQ and Haunted Grounds)

  • It depends as what situation you're in, camping is a viable but not fun strategy. It also depends what platform you play on. Killers during the end game tend to camp more, as there is no reason for them to leave the hook, there's nothing for them to focus on other than the kill. Also killers on console tend to have a more difficult time because of the low FPS and low sensitivity of their controller, so they might camp more often. Lower ranks you'll see more campers as well because they don't know any other viable strategy.
And yes, I do play killer and survivor equally. (Most of my hours are played on survivor) How ever I play killer to get a better understanding of the game, when I get camped or tunneled as survivor I can usually figure out why the killer is doing so. Because I myself have been in those situations of having to camp or tunnel. While I don't enjoy doing it, if it can help me in the long run Ill do it.

How to tell how effective a killer is, is to look at their base power and judge it off that. Nurse has the strongest base power in the game, she can ignore pallets and windows, and basically any tool a survivor has to have a chance at escaping. She has great map mobility and can easily get the match back in her hands. Of course this comes with a lot of skill, picking up the Nurse you won't be able to do much but if you have tons of hours put into her, there's almost no beating a God Nurse. Compare it to a base Hillbilly. A top tier killer who's easy to learn, has an insta-down, great map pressure. But he can still be looped. Now, this all depends on what platform you're playing. If you're playing on Console its understandable why you might think going against a Nurse is easy. But on PC its a completely different story. I also like the fact that you use Legion as 1 of the worst killers. While you're not exactly wrong. They're not the worst. I've made a killer tier list a while back that got some good feedback.

I play PS4, that may be why but I have never died by a nurse, most times I go without being hit at all. I just see her as not at all scary to play against and more of a benefit.

Nurse is MUCH harder to play on PS4 and people say she isn't that good mainly because of that. Its hard to play Nurse with the controller sensitivity and the low FPS.

Only one thing she can't counter. when they [BAD WORD] decide to do a U-turn while blinking multiple times! I agree with the post. she is so easy to play against I can loop her easily just understand how she plays.

I can guarantee you're not high rank or you haven't gone against a good Nurse. I have 1.5k hours in the game and at high ranks against a Nurse, you better do those gens quick. And as said before, it all depends what platform you're on. If you're on Console Nurse is harder to play as the sensitivity of the controller and the FPS.

The Decisive change is actually really good. It promotes Anti-tunneling, and it brings on counters upon counters. Enduring didn't counter DS before. It all depended on what was around the survivor after using it. If there was a pallet or window close by, the chase goes on and for who knows how long if the survivor knows how to loop. Now, killers get more options and no cheeky counters.
Dribbling is no longer a thing
DS can be slugged. Which means that Unbreakable can be a counter to that
Tenacity can also be a counter
Deliverance would also be great with DS
DS is no longer a perk that survivors can rely on. There are gonna be less boosted survivors at rank 1 because of this. Survivors shouldn't win because of a perk, now you might be thinking that killers have Noed. Which don't get me wrong, I dislike Noed, its the only crutch killers really have but guess what? It can be countered by cleansing it.
For DS, the "counters" for it have counters
Dribbling: Survivors can body block, which just wastes even MORE time for the killer.
Enduring: If there's a pallet/window near by, the chase goes on, wasting time for the killer.
You're probably gonna disagree with this, how ever Decisive Strike was a crutch, the literal quote on the perk is : "There's nothing to be scared of"
Also there's no skill in hitting that skill check, you miss it, that's on you.

So it's all about tunneling right? What about 70% of the other games when survivors aren't tunneled? It's gonna be waste of slot. Much better borrowed time, I won't use it and I won't be the only one.

When you were being dribbled by the killer and no 1 came to bodyblock, it was a waste of a perk slot
When you missed the skillcheck, it was a waste of a perk slot
When the killer never actually downed you, it was a waste of a perk slot

And good that you won't use it, I can already tell you we're being carried by it xd

  • This can be related to the lore, The Entity can bring stuff into its realm but sometimes doesn't get it right 100%. So maybe it just didn't get the mud right.

Also the explanation of killers like The Hag, Freddy, Pig and Legion being able to pick survivors up with little to no effort and just carry them around like a sack of potatoes. Is because The Entity gives them strength, that's why they're also able to break a pallet with 2 hits.

Make it a hex... And could you explain?
How would it make Michael or pig have no counter play?

As they could sneak up, it wouldn't be as effective as the other 2 I mentioned. How ever it would be strong. I would still make it if they would fail a skill check as it would punish survivors for messing up. How ever doing a good skill check would punish survivors for doing their objective.

  • Its a good concept how ever how it would act in game I'm not so sure... This killer would seem to rely heavily on RNG for his power to be in full effect. Also the perk "I Said Neigh" is literally Overcharge mixed with Pop Goes The Weasel and Make Your Choice.

    Here's how I'd change it

When kicking a generator, gain a token.
Every time a survivor fails a skill check, they receive the exposed status effect for 15/20/25 seconds
A survivor failing a skill check consumes 1 token
    Maximum of 3/4/5 tokens

What makes you say 2 weeks my dude? The last ptb will have been 6 weeks ago on this tuesday, and all chapter and mid chapter ptbs have come exactly 6 weeks apart from each other so if im thinking right next ptb will be on tuesday. But you are correct the lack of a tease is off-putting.

Because usually a killer gets released around the 16th every 3 months, Legion was released in December and our next killer will be in March, which means we should have a PTB in 2 weeks.

  • You don't get Decisive Strike when you're the obsession, you have to have the perk. If you're the obsession without an obsession perk it means the killer is running an obsession perk.

    Killer Obsession Perks:
    Play With Your Food
    Save The Best For Last
    Dying Light
    Remember Me
    Rancor
    Survivor Obsession Perks
    Sole Survivor
    Object of Obsession
    Decisive Strike

All Survivor Obsession perks are Laurie Strode's teachables. Also if you are running Decisive Strike, and you are the obsession, just wait and the skill check will pop up in a few seconds once the killer has picked you up. If you're not the obsession how ever you have to wiggle 35% and then the skill check will pop up.
    Hope this helped ;)

  • Huntress isnt a bad killer how ever I do think she's over-rated. She's high mid tier in my opinion. She can end chases faster than any other killer. Personally I think it should stay directional, and maybe reduce the actual humming radius by a small bit.

Hey everyone! It's been really insightful reading your comments on the Moonrise event. Some of you have loved it, others believe it could be improved in the future. I'm sure we'll have a survey so you guys can discuss that at length for us. What I'm interested to know is, if you could create your own DBD event, what would it be? Would it have it's own new map? Would it require items? Let us know <3

    Bloody, Sweaty, Teary Summer Job

    Event Offering: Garage Key

During a trial. 2 Workstations will spawn by default. Survivors must stand at the work stations, to give them research points. Once survivors have researched enough, they'll receive 1 Blueprint. Survivors must escape with a Blueprint, while killers have to try to find survivors holding a blueprint, and hook them.
Killers can destory workstations that have given 1 survivor the maximum amount of research points.
1 Workstation will be added into the trial every Garage Key offering used.

    So for a recap,
    Survivors get points by:
    -Researching
    -Escaping with Blueprints
    Killers get points by:
    -Hooking survivors with Blueprints
    -Destroying Workstations

This was just a little idea of mine. Hope you liked it ;)

    EDIT:
Survivors could also get a little bit of points (and I mean a little) by simply doing gens, same for killers but with hooking survivors.

  • Depends on your play style, and what perks you would like to use

If you mostly play killer, I recommend Of Flesh and Mud or Leatherface. Because of Hex: Ruin and BBQ and Chili

If you play survivor, Halloween, for Decisive Strike. How ever prepare for lots of killers to complain. Or even tunnel you because of it.

Do you rly think im a boy?

Its 2019 how the hell are you supposed to know these days

  • The hate towards Legion is not because of them being OP, its because when going against a Legion and being chased to be more specific. You feel helpless, the same feeling as if you we're being camped or tunneled. It hinders the killer more then anything but you're not having fun while its happening.

  • The devs have already stated several times on stream that they won't make Sprint Burst have a designated key to be activated. Also that would literally just be better in every single way then Dead Hard. You don't have to be injured, and instead of a small burst of I believe 250%? You get a 3 second burst that goes at 150%.. Sprint Burst is weak compared to the other exhaustion perks. But its still a good perk that allows you to get away when you're in an unsafe area with no pallets or windows.

  • You naughty naughty boy

  • Hillbilly is no where near OP, in fact he's one of the most balanced killers in the game. He has almost everything a killer needs. How ever to nerf Hillbilly is ridiculous, if there's any killer that isn't "balanced" its Nurse but the devs are not getting away with nerfing Nurse. If you thought Hillbilly was OP? Nurse gets rid of every tool to get away for survivors. Hillbilly all he can do is insta down you. Which he can only do if you're out in the open, so most of the time when a Hillbilly chainsaws you its because you're in an unsafe area with no safe points.

  • Leatherface is decent with perks and add ons. But thats every killer including Freddy. The reason why people say Leatherface is bad is because he has no tracking, and his power is just bad. Longer charge time for his chainsaw then Billy, also he moves at 95% when his chainsaw is charging. (Thats slower than a survivor running) While Billy has a faster charge time, and moves at 100%, (Same speed as a running survivor). Yes, LF has the possibility to down multiple survivors. But at high ranks its very unlikely, you would be lucky if you downed 2 survivors at the same time. Also you said Wraith and Legion are bad killers. While I dont disagree with you. They're are not the weakest. Especially Legion, they're mid tier at best.

  • @drunky26 said:
Can't really put Balanced Landing on the first spot because it's very situational, you might get a map that has hardly any places you can use it on and when in a chase you have to get to that place to make the best out of it.

I'd also put Sprint Burst at the bottom because most of the time you're just walking trying not to waste it which is plain boring.

I do agree, Balanced Landing is very situational. How ever I do put it at the first spot simply because of its potential.
Sprint Burst you're not forced to walk around. 40 seconds might seem like a lot but it isn't really when you think about it.

  • From my experience, Ive got to rank 1 while on rotation with all killers no perks or add ons. I didnt have much difficulties with top tiers like Billy or Nurse. How ever almost every other killer I struggled with.
-Trapper imo needs Trapper Sack to be built in
-Wraith makes a huge difference with add ons. Windstorm can give him map pressure
    -Billy is fine
    -Nurse if fine
-Micheal is fine is you can get an early feed off a survivor
-Hag does surprisingly, as she's everywhere but no where
-Doctor... poor man.. His shock isnt large enough, and he's just your average M1 killer
-Huntress you shouldn't have a problem with if you have good aim
    -Leatherface is well, Leatherface
-Freddy. Do I really need to explain?
-Pig's power isnt really that good in the first place, her add ons don't really make a difference. Video Tape, Combat Straps and Amanda's Letter are the only decent ones for her
-Clown does just about the same, how ever because he lacks map pressure you can't do much unless you end chases.. FAST
    -Spirit does just fine.
-Legion's frenzy doesn't last long enough. They aren't very scary without add ons, how ever they become VERY scary with Frank's Mixtape.

  • You need to apply Deep Wound to a survivor, then DOWN a survivor who previously had Deep Wound applied with Feral Frenzy. So you chase 1 survivor, leave him for a bit. Find some 1 else, apply Deep Wound, then find that 1st person you stabbed earlier and down them with Feral Frenzy.

Decisive Strike can be a game changer.. If a good survivor uses DS. They can loop a killer for way too long. A chase shouldn't last more than a minute. You waste so much time chasing people as a killer and all DS does is extend that time.
Yes it does need to be nerfed because this gets even stronger with a SWF group.
With what you're telling me leads me to believe you haven't seen the true potential on the killer side.
