I try to support and respect BHVR as much as I can, how ever this is gonna go down as one of the most lack luster "events" I've ever seen. When I and I'm sure many others think about "event" we think about events in the past like Howling Grounds, Summer BBQ, Hallowed Blight and Moonrise. What all those events had in common is you had something to work towards, you felt accomplished and there was a reason to play the event. And after Moonrise it kind of went downhill, 3rd Year Anniversary was nice as we weren't expecting much to begin with, but we got an exclusive offering and item for the event, those still felt like things to work for. Then Withering Blight came along and it had some backlash as it was just a shell of what The Hallowed Blight was. In fact I'd go as far as to say that Withering Blight was even worse than the Eternal Blight. As these 2 are the EXACT same but we don't the new event add-ons. Scarlet Swarm was an event I'm sure no one even knew was an event (hence why there was no complaints). But hope started to rise again with the 4th Year Anniversary event. Exclusive offerings and items were added but most importantly: cosmetics. People had the crowns to work for, while it wasn't much work it was SOMETHING. And there was generally no complaints with the 4th year anniversary. And then we come back to Eternal Blight. Same disappointing event as last year except we can't earn any free cosmetics. Not even via The Rift. And then as an apology BHVR quickly made the decision to give up free BP and Shards as daily login rewards, but those can be earned year round.
So please, if anyone at BHVR is reading this. People want things to work for, a change in gameplay. We deal with the same game year round and we look forward to events to spice things up a little. If you keep going with things like this people are gonna become more upset.

I played a few games as Spirit and didn't notice a difference, in fact I only knew she was bugged after seeing a YT video in my recommended. Survivors only get an audio cue every few seconds and she still moves almost twice as fast as survivors. She is by no means gutted, the only thing this gets rid of is the "stand still mind game".

Good post.
A certain part of the blame's ought to go to the community, though. There's a small, but very loud part that continuously will beat any suggestions/attempts to shake things up in the game, demand really big name franchises to be added without realizing that will cost money, etc.
I'm fine with them having licensed content locked behind a pay wall, at least the characters themselves, but the fact that their OWN content is locked is dumb, and it costs WAY too much.

Shelter Woods is actually one if not the smallest map in the game, and most Coldwind maps aren't too bad anymore. Torment Creek is the only problem tbh

Scropionz has a pig guide where he talks about this and it makes a lot of sense i linked it to the timestamp he talks about it:
Imo this add on doesn't do anything useful. I typically still hop on gens with an inactive RBT on my head and I've seen many others do the same thing because the thing very rarely kills anyone. The people who prioritize the RBT over gens are normally the same ones who cant loop properly or aren't efficient on gens. This add on being base kit would be barely noticeable.

@hinoutoumei The hatch doesn't spawn at the beginning, there are certain rules for it to spawn.
3-5 gens: It will spawn if there is 1 survivors left
2 gens left = 2 survivors sacrificed
1 gen left = 1 survivor sacrificed
0 gens left = 0 survivors sacrificed

A CJ tech is where there is a dropped pallet in between you and a killer, on the side of the killer there is also a downed survivor. You then vault the pallet assuming the killer is going to break it forcing the killer to pick up the survivor, vault it back right after and then perform a flashlight save.

"No Blink Nurse"
You'd be surprised how many people get a 4k at red Ranks.
And typically, you want to use your power as Nurse as soon as you SEE someone, but you can literally walk to a survivor and they'll get caught either way.
Spirit gets hits without the use of her power.
Hag gets hits without the use of her power.
Huntress gets hits without the use of her power.
Deathslinger gets hits without the use of his power.
All 110% speed killers. Making a 110% killer with a 1 hit ability would be insanely overpowered.
Unless a survivor royally messes up, a killer rarely gets a "free hit". All 110% movement speed killers have something to assist them to down survivors easier and with the majority of them it can be used as a mind game, this is most noticed on Spirit and Deathslinger. The only reason why Deathslinger can get so many M1's is the fear that they'll get speared. I've noticed they're just swerving or randomly turning left or right to try to predict when he's gonna shoot which ultimately makes them lose distance thus lending him a free hit. Would a 110% with insta down be overpowered? No, they would be effective against newer players but very ineffective against experienced. If you're thinking of a 4 man team with actual experience (not somebody with 50 hours and who magically climbed up to rank 1). They would consistently stomp a killer like this. Some loops are almost infinites for 110% and some are actual infinites as they're not fast enough to get bloodlust.
Would it be the weakest? No. Would it be the strongest? No.

I threw down a pallet and my character just stood there. I've seen pc lag switchers, and my game had the exact same type of "lag", not what you described
You are aware that it is impossible to lag switch atm right? If you froze at that pallet that's your OWN connection, not the killers.

I'd also argue that a lot of the more frustrating and overpowered killer things make games end so fast that the killer won't pip, which means if you can get to higher ranks you're not going to see stupid things like Redhead's Pinky Finger Clown, or Iridescent Head Huntress, etc.

It's not getting use out of it's a matter of it actually getting you away from the killer every ds I see from either the survivor is caught again within 20 seconds
If a survivor is smart, they're gonna run into a place where they KNOW they're going to be safe, also those 20 seconds can still cost the killer the game. If its early game it can cost the killer 2-3 gens which is 40-60% of the survivors objective completed, meanwhile the killer got around 8% and cant even get up to that 16% just because of a perk.

To be fair this is my opinion it not false information and if you played survivor with ds you would know that 90% of the time it's a joke and the syringe is basically useless most of us that use it gets hit right after using it
I never said the syringe wasn't nerfed how ever it is still strong. If you're able to pull off the heal mid chase you waste A LOT of the killers time. And DS being a joke? Are you sure we're playing the same game here? I'd say about 80% of the time when I have DS, I'm able to use it.
-
@siyke26 said:
Nothing is going to get done either way I could go through the list of changes starting with how the tool boxes are basically useless now or how they added another ranged killer with improvement to hit boxes so they shooting people around corners and what have you. The doctor was already a huge pain in the bum and they just made it even worse. The problem is if the killer mains out there decide that something is too good for survivors to have they unite to get it removed and the survivor don't get any compensation for it the loss.
Don't be going around spreading false information brother, if you're saying toolboxes are "useless" I suggest trying sabo. Unless you're upset that you can't end a game in 5 minutes. Also you're complaining about The Deathslinger having an accurate hit-box? From my experience I haven't seen anything that would seem like a BS hit, in fact I feel like I get hits stolen from me/from the killer more (mind you I usually play with 50ms on PC). You say The Doctor is a huge pain? Don't play his game, you can't loop him. (funny because a lot of survivors still don't realize this) Drop the pallet early instead. And the fact that you say killers have to "unite" to get things nerfed.. Lets see... the only instance I can think of is MoM, which we have are own fair share, Freddy got nerfed in about a week into his release when he wasn't even that strong, meanwhile MoM was OP as all hell, it was literally a "get out of jail free" card that couldn't be countered in any way if you were an M1 killer. You HAD to deal with it. It took almost 3 years for DS to be reworked and its even STRONGER than before. Before we could at least juggle and have Enduring to counter. Now? The survivor is invincible for a whole minute with nothing to counter it. The syringe took 3 years to be nerfed but to compensate, they buffed the styptic. And now toolboxes, you didn't need them in the first place, survivors can already end a game in 5 minutes if they're efficient. If anything survivors cry more for killer nerfs if you ask me, the longest thing that lasted was The Nurse, the only issue she had was her add ons and they still touched her base kit. People were fine with The Spirit at first until tons of people grew hate boners for her and they nerfed her as well, they nerfed The Oni from PTB, and then nerfed him AGAIN (He is how ever, in a better spot now) They nerfed Ruin, they nerfed Hangman's (which I'm fine with, it was strong af) and hopefully thats the end of it. The game is still not balanced but if you think killers have it easy, you're dead wrong bud. I'm not saying survivors have it easy either, both sides have their fair share of frustrating things. But don't make it seem like its only one side.

There are many reasons, all depends on the scenario
They'll mainly do it to gain pressure/snowball, having 1 person downed and 1 person on the hook is a great way to start snowballing as it buys you time and most likely those 2 other survivors are getting off gens to save their teammates.
Which in turn gains a lot of emblems, You're getting your Gatekeeper because no one is working on gens, you're getting your Devout because of hooks, Malicious builds up as you're downing multiple survivors and they're not gonna be healing very much and finally Chaser, you can lose Chaser from camping, but if a survivor is within 16m of the hook you don't lose anything. So really, they are playing the game right.

Im sorry but its not a punishment on survivors for not doing totems its literally just a reward for a killer who performs bad. Its only a clutch perk made for 1k end game face camps and thats really it. If it stopped being a hex and actually took effort and something for the killer to activate it it would be great but all it does is give you a kill for free :/ I keep seeing people say "Well just cleanse totems!" Okay well I'd like to present the argument of when someone jumps into a locker with DS just open the locker! It gets rid of DS and you don't have to wait 60 seconds to chase that survivor again! Both wasting time to cleanse totems on a chance the killer is running a perk is a huge waste of time and could cost you a game same as a locker DS could so why is one perfectly fine but the other is a huge detrimental problem that the entire community must rally against?
Your argument of comparing DS to Noed hasn't had much thought put into it. Noed is a hex, which means it can be completely removed from you if survivors take the time to cleanse the totems, which by the way... there are perks and items to help with that. DS had 1 perk that countered it and that was Enduring, but that's gone now, and DS isn't even a 1 time thing.. There are 3 other survivors that can potentially have it. Its not like I'm defending Noed, I dislike the perk as well, its just the execution of this post was poorly made.

I'm referring to Huntress' lullaby. I'm unsure if we're on the same page.
But ruin shouldn't need notification. It has a big enough tell.
I am very aware that you're talking about Huntress' Lullaby.
A Hex rooting its power in despair. Your hunt is an irresistible song of dread which muddles your prey's attention.
Survivors receive a 2/4/6 % Regression penalty when missing any Skill Check
.
Each time a Survivor is hooked, Huntress Lullaby grows in power:
- 1 to 4 Tokens: Time between the Skill Check warning sound and the Skill Check becomes shorter.
- 5 Tokens: No Skill Check warning
-
@The_Second_Coming said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/970180#Comment_970180
It's not in play until someone is hooked.
The sound notification only comes into play once some one is hooked, the regression penalty is up as long as the totem stands.
-
@The_Second_Coming said:
New ruin COULD be useful - but a couple key things need to happen for it to be remotely decent.
- Rework the maps. If you expect killers with no mobility power (Trapper, Bubba, Clown, Doctor...etc etc) to be able to apply adequate pressure in a map like Mother's Dwelling, you're insane. If new Ruin is supposed to require us to apply that pressure in order for it to be useful, the maps can't be the size of 12 football fields. This is why the indoor maps are the most successful maps for killer - it's actually possible to distribute that pressure against 4 survivors spread out across the map, because the maps aren't the size of a suburb.
- At the VERY least, it needs to not notify the survivor that hex ruin is a thing. The devs ######### on Huntress' Lullaby by notifying them that it exists before it ever comes into play. Even then - they should just make it no longer a hex perk. Just allow it to exist.
Survivors are notified "before" in comes into play because it is already in play, people tend to forget the extra regression penalty for a missed skill check.
-
Not sure if you haven't played in a while, but Legion got their old vault speed back, their old movement speed and their terror radius is 32m.
Imo they need to rework his power entirely. Give them a secondary power that's related to stealth like they teased us in the trailer.
-
The EGC is not meant for another chance for the last survivor to escape, its simply to end the game quicker.
-
@NuclearBurrito said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/613607#Comment_613607
Lower terror radius is part of the problem. Yes it helps with deep wounds and M1, but his tracking requires a big terror radius.
And it takes WAY too long to get considering how little it does here, a full minute and free bond for a 20 second stall eventually. Not worth anything especially since it is now harder to get and use Frenzy.
This is just a T2 Myers with nothing else.
Killer Instinct will have a radius of 32m (what it is currently at default) and The Legion will have a terror radius of 16m. So you're gonna be able to sneak up on survivors even while in Frenzy and give them less time to react. You also have to remember that there are add-ons that increase Killer Instincts range.
-
I've also wanted to make Legion able to stall the game, which is why removing the ability for survivors to Mend themselves is a good thing. It forces survivors to get off gens and focus on finding others before they get downed. You should still be able to get that first hit relatively easy because of the 16m terror radius.
@NuclearBurrito said:
This doesn't seem to solve ANY of his problems and removes all of his Pro's besides his small size.
-
@NuclearBurrito said:
So in other words, now it doesn't even help you first hit someone? Sounds very weak and doesn't really solve his problems. And what happens if there are less than 4 survivors? And what happens if all 4 survivors are effected by deep wounds at the same time?
And how does this interact with furtive chase?
The whole thing I tried to go with is to feel rewarded for hitting all 4 survivors. The first survivor you hit will give you the information you need to go for the others and if you get that 4th hit in Feral Frenzy then it feels rewarding, currently hitting all 4 survivors and applying Deep Wound gives you no reward besides buying a few seconds.
-
@Jimsalabim said:
we survivors should use also a term for this, lets say we got "killrushed"... how does that sound to you mainkillers who complain about genrush?
The reason why some killers "killrush" is because of the speed of which gens are being completed. It's not normal for me to have a chase to be less than a minute and then 3 gens pop back to back. I shouldn't need to bring a perk (Ruin) to slow the game down.
-
Unless its different on console.. you don't lose a pip if some one disconnects

It really is hard to believe how badly they messed up Frank's Mix Tape. It used to be Legion's best add on and now it is nearly worthless.
I've kind of gotten something down with Frank's Mix-tape, Stab Wounds Study and Tinkerer.
5+7.5+12+7.5 = 32
5 seconds from Stab Wounds Study
7.5 x 2 = 15 seconds from Frank's Mix-tape
12 seconds from Tinkerer
Essentially if I want to commit to a chase, I can guarantee a down. During those 12 seconds if they drop a pallet you want to break as many pallets as you want. (Brutal Strength works very well for this) and once those 12 seconds are over. Go in Frenzy and you're gonna be able to down the survivor. I essentially figured out a way to bring back Moon walking Legion
The build I usually use for this:
Tinkerer, Brutal Strength, Pop Goes The Weasel, Thanatophobia.
The whole reason for Thanatophobia is to slow down the gens just a little bit. Enough to be able to get there with Pop Goes The Weasel. Pop Goes The Weasel is able to get me another Tinkerer activation. Ruin wouldn't work as well because there's a chance they won't get a skill check.
All you people who wanted Old Legion back, this is the closest I can get.

..here's a question:
Feral Frenzy does 1 damage state (but cannot inflict Dying)..Can it inflict Dying if NoED or Haunted Ground's Expose is proc'd?
No it can't. I'm currently trying to do some tests to be able to use Frank's Mix-tape at its full potential using Dark Devotion and Tinkerer.
I played a game and realized that when Tinkerer activates mid chase, your terror radius goes away and the bleed out timer goes down. So currently with Tinkerer I want to know if that 12 seconds of bleed out will be enough to down a survivor who has been afflicted with Stab Wounds Study and Frank's Mix-tape.
I also wanna know if Dark Devotion will work with Legion. In Deep Wounds description it specifically says "In the killers Terror Radius". But once Dark Devotion is activated, you have no terror radius but your obsession does. So will the bar go down?
-
I understand camping can be annoying, I usually see it more during rank reset but its quite funny how some people think a killers camping, when in reality they're sticking around the area for multiple reasons.
-A Hex could be near by.
-You're next to an open door.
-If its a Trapper/Hag, their traps could be set up all in the area you're in. This is a great way to gain pressure as these killers.
-All gens are around the area.
-He has sight on a survivor going for the save.
I honestly see these happening more often than a killer camping for literally no reason. I usually go out of my way to defend the killer in the post game chat because of survivors just talking smack. And if 1 of the scenarios above is in play during a trial. Why would the killer leave? There is literally no reason for you to leave the hook other than screwing yourself over. Its essentially getting a gen at 99%, then leaving it for no reason to go find another gen when there's 1 gen remaining.
The killers objective is to kill the survivors, why shouldn't he be able to secure it?
-
If they're going to nerf Ebony Mories they need to nerf stuff like Keys and such for survivors. Keys are literally the equivalent of a mori for survivors, its essentially a free escape. 1 moment you think you have the game in your hands and then the last 2 survivors find hatch and escape.

-
Id like to say they're in a better place then before, how ever they we're never really good to begin with.
They have whats possibly the best tracking in the game and they can stall quite well, they're low, mid-tier at best how ever they can still do quite well in the right hands, I've played Legion quite a bit since the change and I find myself doing decent. (I hover around Rank 1-4) without Ruin. I use Thanatophobia, Sloppy Butcher, M&A and STBFL. Sloppy and Thana stall the game quite well, makes survivors waste a lot of time healing and if they don't heal, they can get caught off guard with Monitor. How ever you don't want to stay in chase for too long. If a survivor is in a very safe area with lets say, 3 pallets. Try to get one of those pallets broken and leave them or Frenzy to get Killer Instinct to try to find the others.
I do think they need some tweaks, but I think they're ok where he's at.
-
Are you sirious????? I damn preordered the game to get the Mask............. and now you f... trolling me to make the mask buyable again...

@Shroompy So? Your point? If you think Plague is bad just becuz Survivors don't use the fountains, that means you're a bad player!
She's better than Huntress at high wall loops because she's faster and neither of them can hit their abilities on high loops. If the Survivors don't use the fountains, they're broken against a 115% MS killer. If you don't down Survivors who don't use the fountains, I'm sorry, but you're the "WORST" Plague player in the entire DBD history!
Corrupt Purge is just her great "BONUSES", not her main "POWER"! If you afraid of Survivors not using the fountains, and focus too much on the Corrupt Purge, again, you're the "WORST" Plague player in the game!
If they don't use the fountains, they're just gonna get one shot in the whole game, which makes her chase a lot shorter! When they're broken, they'll made a lot of noises, emit green clouds and anything they touched will be infected, which makes them impossible to stealth against a Plague! Still don't get it????? Or you just afraid of getting looped so you want the Corrupt Purge so bad???? And which M1 Killer doesn't get looped anyway, huh???
If you afraid Survivors not using the fountains and focus too much on the Corrupt Purge, you're over! You sound like you play her like a Huntress 2.0. becuz you afraid Survivors not using the fountains for your Corrupt Purge!
You said she has Corrupt so now pallets and windows aren't safe because she can just throw up on you and down you in seconds. So? You can't stealth when you're not infected? Can she infect you with Corrupt Purge? Lol, another weird logic.
Why I saying "Noed op pls nerf! No Mither is trash pls buff!", Cuz I'm not just talking about you, narcissism~
I'm just saying she's flawed!
There are way better picks than Plague right now!
Plague is just a killer who needs some design tweaks!
I just wanted to voice my thoughts, for the time I played Plague she's not good against optimal survivors. No matter how good you are you won't get 4k's every game. I would still get 4k's as Plague but not nearly as much as for say Myers or Doctor. If you get any large map with Plague you're pretty much screwed. Of course she's better than Huntress, if survivors cleanse. But if you want to compare because of movement speed compare her to literally any killer that has 115% and I can assure you most of them are better. Her power does nothing besides make a survivor broken, doesn't slow down the game what so ever, doesn't give her any pressure, nothing. Keep calling me the worst player in the game it's all you really do. Plague isn't fun
-
I also don't know what you mean by me saying "Noed OP, pls nerf! No Mither is trash, pls buff!"

"Noed OP, pls nerf! No Mither is trash, pls buff!" "Don't cleanse yourself and remain broken, useless power lol" Thinking using fountain is a bad idea, but complains about Noed and No Mither??? Lol , weird logic number 4
I want you to play Plague at high ranks and realize how little survivors cleanse. Cleansing is probably one of the stupidest things you can do in this game, you screw over your entire team, you get fully healed... but she has corrupt so now pallets and windows aren't safe because she can just throw up on you and down you in seconds. Plague is amazing with Corrupt. But if survivors are smart they won't cleanse.
-
@GhostrickSpecter said:
"Legion can use his power to track, Plague has nothing! Plague's power is useless if they don't cleanse, and she can't down them with her power!" Okay! Can Legion down someone with his power? So you use your frenzy on injured survivor for tracking, which you had a chance to down them? Lol , weird logic number 1
"Plague is loopable!" so you're telling me you can't loop a Legion? So you use your power at the loop, and again, can you down them with it? Lol , weird logic number 2
"The vomiting and coughing sounds are irrelevant as you aren't hearing those unless you are basically on top of them anyway. " So you play Killer without relying on sounds, do you? Weeee!!! We have a pro, a pro deafen Killer~How do you even play Nurse and Spirit with that? Lol , weird logic number 3
I never said Legion isn't able to be looped. They're still able to be looped like any other M1 killer how Im saying they're stronger because at least they have tracking and they're shorter, opening more possibilities for mind games
EDIT: Another thing, I do play with sounds but with how sounds are currently, it doesn't matter too much. I also play Spirit but not Nurse, I play with about 20fps (Bad PC, Wraith main btw).
Also the coughing could be heard by any killer who is able to injure survivors.. So literally every killer..

You serious? The Plague can track you down if you're not cleansing. u basically just emit disease clouds when you're moving, continuous coughing (making noise), and everything you touched will be infected! And if you cleanse, you just telling her where your location are! No tracking???
Legion has tracking, but you have to hit someone and they have to be inside your Terror Radius with Frenzy first!
The "clouds" barely do anything, very rarely you'll find somebody just because you see something in the distance get infected. And also if you cleanse you'll get found? Most of the time when a survivor cleanses (if they're even dumb enough to cleanse) they'll be far away from you. Only thing she has going for her is she's basically T3 Michael without the longer lunge and faster vault speed.
A whole section of her ability is useless if survivors are optimal. Thats the point im trying to get here.

What Rank are you? because in red ranks no one cleanses and most people are able too just run her around since her ability does nothing once everyone is sick. Sure you'll get lucky time too time and get greedy survivors, but her vomit also has a horrid hitbox, and so does her weapon because its a lantern. She is not even close too high tier, and she is usually the 4th worst killer, usually ahead of legion, wraith, and freddy.
Legion is actually much better than Plague because at least Legion has tracking and a poor map pressure, they can also stall the game.

meanwhile, i'm crushing people with her since the moment she released.
If you're a good killer going against mediocre survivors, then yes you're able to get kills. Im a Wraith main, starting to play Legion a bit more recently and again still get 4k's. Don't get me wrong Plague is strong, if survivors cleanse.. if they don't cleanse she's damn near useless.
