@ShrimpTwiggs it would be perfect if crouching was fast. Really it’s just the crouching speed. The ambush charging time isn’t bad.
It's not so much the charge time as it is the roar on her ambush. I think she would have a lot more mind game potential if survivors didn't know when she was charging.
She has massive mind game potential, I cancel the charge on the ambush to get her to roar without actually charging. I do this to scare survivors out of hiding places, thinking I know where they are and am looking to land an ambush.
I also use it to get survivors to jump over or leave pallets. Works every time.
And if you’ve got a score to settle, repeatedly cancel the ambush charge to fake them out into a false sense of security, so they won’t know when to bolt until it’s too late.
I still think the roar should be dropped, but I'll definitely try these out. Thanks for the tips. :chuffed:

I'd imagine wearing a giant rotting pig head would make any kind of moving that much more difficult.
Never thought of it that way. Still I don’t think it makes bending the knees more difficult. Unless you’re scared of the pighead knocking things over.
It's probably really hard to see out of. I doubt she has good depth perception while wearing it, so maybe it puts her off balance or something.
Lol like a cat using its tail for balance. Yeah no I don’t buy it. She really shouldn’t have such a slow crouch speed.
Realism-wise, I can see it. Pig heads are pretty heavy. Balance-wise, maybe she could crouch faster. I think her ambush needs work first though.

Don't let survivors shame you into playing by their rules. Camping is part of the game and the devs have said so multiple times.
-
The decisive strike-unbreakable combo is something I see a lot of. It kinda puts the killer in a situation where there's no correct choice if they get you.
-
Interesting ideas, but how would the shadow manipulation help the killer?
-
I considered the idea that if you get hit with a one shot ability, your bleed-out timer would go down faster. But I think the way it acts now is fine, for the most part. You could always go for the one who unhooked the other.
-
I don't get what people derive from hacking. Congrats! You won because you gave yourself a massively unfair advantage! Good for you?
-
It's too easy to get to rank 1. And I'm willing to believe that a god amount of survivors are carried there by SWF teams.
-
Theirs a slightly higher chance of getting better things in the bloodweb, but I've barely noticed it myself. I like to prestige my characters for the bloody clothes but that's about it.

lerys is a good map
Once you get used to it and know the different layouts it's not that bad, but at 1st it's a nightmare, especially against an experienced killer. Now Gideon's can go dive into a very large Black Hole.
I like what they were going for with Gideon's. A map that changed and opened as the game went on. Too bad it was executed so poorly.

This whole Leatherface revolution is ridiculous but I love it.
-
He's well balanced. He's fun to play and play against and he's one of the few killers survivors actually fear. Not to mention that the song when you're being chased is cool.
-
Why not just let the killer here it instead of everybody in the lobby? And maybe do a similar thing for rank 1 survivor?
-
Sabos hook
-
I would like idle animations for the licensed killers as well (except for Myers. Him standing still fits his character.) but there's probably a lot to go through with getting approval from the license holders.
-
You screwed up on the gens. Be more careful about which ones you do next time instead of demand the devs to change anything.
-
Gotta love how these threads derail so quick.

Long live the Leatherface Mafia!

No, this wouldn't be good for the game. If the person spectating is on coms with the other survivors, they can tell their friends exactly where the killer is and what they do at all times.
-
I don't DC because I get a bad map.
-
This thread isn't really bad enough to be closed. And don't you think leaving over this is going overboard? I mean, I've seen a lot worse on these forums.

Probably the one that does their job the best. So the nurse, right now.

If dribbling is allowed then gentapping is as well.

As long as dribbling to avoid Decisive Strike isn't considered an exploit, then neither is gentapping.Except dribbling ends up taking a ridiculous amount of time which is a commodity in this game. Gen tapping saves time immensely in comparison and costs none.
Gentapping still slows down gens considerably. Saying it saves time depends on what you compare it to since experienced players will just hit the great skill checks, which is much faster then tapping. Both tapping and dribbling almost negate the perk associated with them and neither of them are exploits. One being stronger then the other doesn't make it an exploit.
Gen tapping does not cost any considerable time. There is VERY little delay between stopping and starting. Once again nowhere near the actual seconds between pickup and drop. Gen tapping pretty much all but negates hex whereas dribbling you need to be pretty much at a hook to make it worth using.
As I've said, one being stronger then the other doesn't make it an exploit. And it does cost time in comparison to just hitting the great skillchecks, which most experienced survivors will do anyway. Should it be nerfed? I think a fair nerf would be to add a second when starting a gen before any progress is made. But at the end of the day, both gentapping and dribbling prevent their given perks from being fully used. If one isn't considered an exploit, the other shouldn't.

I think that if there are going to be any rewards for ending a season in rank 1, they should make ranking up harder first. Right now, it's just a grind and eventually you'll get there. There's not much challenge to it unless you go out of your way to give yourself one, like running no perks or using only No Mither. I think bonus bloodpoints are fine and exclusive skins would be cool, but I don't think it should be brought in until the rank system is looked over. You'll notice that I didn't suggest giving a reward for making it to rank 1. I suggested giving a reward for making it to rank 1 and gaining 150 pips as a rank 1 player. And if 150 pips proves to be too easy to earn, then the number could always be increased.
Good idea, but I think that it would be better for the overall game if the ranking was looked at so that it was a challenge to reach rank 1 and rewards were given out accordingly.

I've been working on an idea for a killer and survivor for a while and these are my ideas so far.
Killer: The Mariner
Perk 1
Frostbite: Upon landing a hit on a survivor, they'll suffer from the frostbite status effect for 60/80/100 seconds. At any point the survivor is standing still, crouching, or walking, ice will begin forming over their vision, severely obscuring it and they'll receive a 5%/10%/15% debuff to healing and repair speed. The ice can be gradually removed by running or standing next to any fire."I'm s-so c-c-cold."
Perk 2
Thin Ice: You leave a trail wherever you walk for 30/40/50 seconds. If any survivor walks on this trail, their location is revealed to you and they receive the exposed status effect for 40 seconds. This can be activated once every 60/50/40 seconds."Be careful where you set your feet."
Perk 3
Heat Sense: As generators are repaired, they begin to give off more heat. The closer they are to being done, the brighter the aura will be."Lost for so long in the cold, he seeks warmth."
(I know this idea was implemented for the Wraith. I'm currently trying to work it into something else.)Survivor: Jack "Jackie" Breckson
Perk 1
Sympathizer: Helping others is your strength. For every altruistic action you do, gain a token up to a maximum of 3/4/5 tokens. For each token, you repair generators 2%/3%/4% faster. For each skillcheck hit, you lose a token."Shut up and let me help you." -Jack Breckson
Perk 2
Flea Bath: Any crows within a 30/40/50 meter radius of you will fly away if you're running. Crows will take 20/30/40 seconds longer to come back."F*cking pests." -Jack Breckson
Perk 3
Circle of Life: For every survivor that dies, gain a 5%/10%/15% speed buff to all actions."It's the circle of life. I know it hurts. It sucks and it never gets easier, but the best thing you can do is learn from it." -Jack Breckson
-
No it isn't. If the killer camps, the survivors can punish it by repairing gens. If the survivors rush in anyway, then it's their fault if they get rolled.

They don't lose it. Dribbling is where the killer picks up a survivor and drops them repeatedly on their way to a hook. If the killer is close enough, the survivor won't have a chance to use DS. I think you're thinking of the killer swinging just as a survivor hits the decisive strike skillcheck.

Awesome ideas! I'd really like if the devs reworked Freddy like this.
-
1.) Huntress because it feels like there's force behind her swing.
2.) Hag just because of how gruesome it is.
3.) Nurse because that sympathetic caress at the end is awesome.
4.) The Spirit is very cinematic and is overall, well made.
5.) Myers because it's a perfect mix of brutal and gruesome.
6.) Leatherface bashing the survivor on the back of the head is neat and the chainsaw is awesome.
7.) Clown because I like the unique addition of character.
8.)The Doctor's is alright.
9.)The Pig's is lacking, in my opinion.
10.)The Hillbilly is boring.
11.)The Wraith's is awful but at least that part where he drags the survivor toward him is pretty cool.
12.)The Trapper's is just bland. -

Here's another question:Say I'm not that pressed about self-care. One of the reason I looked at Dwight to start with was because I liked his teamwork oriented perks. That play style interested me: something that could help my team out when we worked together.
Say, I'm not that pushed about BBQ because, honestly, I don't really care for Leatherface from a film franchise or game play standpoint.
Now, I also am not concerned about reaching the red ranks. Until I bought DBD, even though I had looked at some game play videos on it, I didn't even know it had ranks. Well, I did, but I didn't realize it only had a ranked mode outside of KYF. Even over in Overwatch, HoTS, or Paladins, I played casual. Never was interested in worrying about climbing a rank ladder. So, ranks aren't a concern to me.
I bought DBD to play a hide-and-seek horror movie themed game that also contained a couple of my favorite Hollywood killers. I'm much more interested in playing Myers, Amanda, Freddy (licensed) and Doctor and Huntress (when they fix hatchets) for the originals.
Will not rushing for SC and BBQ gimp me?
Self-care is vital if you're going solo. Never trust the other survivors to help you if you need it. I wouldn't say it's an absolute necessity but it'll definitely help out. BBQ is a really strong perk but in the upper ranks, a lot of survivors know how to mindgame it. On any killer but the Nurse and Billy, it's more for bloodpoints. As for the licensed killers, I've had a lot of fun with Myers and Amanda. Myers is in a pretty good place and his add-ons allow all kinds of ways to play him. The Pig's a little weak but she's a lot of fun to play. Freddy... well, he's getting buffed soon so let's hope that puts him in a better place.

As someone who plays a lot of Wraith, I love the changes. The speed burst after uncloaking is great and the slow-down wasn't changed much. I love all the add-ons as well. I love running Cox-comb clapper and Ghost for the memes. I wouldn't say he's top-tier, but he's definitely better than he was.
-
I doubt it. A fair amount of them are tortured and forced to do what they do and the others enjoy killing.
-
I really like the idea, but I think the hound should move faster to accommodate for her slower movement speed and the cool down. Cool idea, OP.
