Huntress, definitely, just by the power of Iri head.
Spirit is good too. Father's glasses is criminally underrated and Mother-Daughter ring takes time to get used to, but increases her skill ceiling massively.
Clown is close in third with the exposed add-on, although you better have some good aim. We probably shouldn't talk about Judith's tombstone either.
-
It was never abused, it was always a second chance. It was very much powerful, but now it's very much weak. They overshot the runway on this one.
-
Zarina: Iron Will, Balanced Landing/Probably Smash Hit, Fast Track, Borrowed Time.
I replaced DS with fast track because 1) DS is absolute dog water now, if I do get tunneled then it's not going to help anyhow, and 2) Fast Track is pretty gratifying.
Pig: Make Your Choice, Deathbound, BBQ, and Ruin. Deathbound is good, fight me.
-
Probably sounds like an internet issue. If you're not updating the server quickly enough, hit validation is going to screw you over.
-
There's something about this game that attracts terrible people to it. Perhaps its because it's frustrating to play, and you can't really understand the other side. As an asymmetrical game, there is a hefty difference between killer and survivor which makes it difficult to understand how the other side views things.
Plus, DBD is at the intersection of competitive and casual. I pity the casual survivor who gets stuck with the three sweats.
-
Happy April fools to you too

Because I looped them for one generator and then gave them a flashlight.

Yea you also don't let something that everyone is saying is garbage sit for a month and a half
And leave the player base wondering if it gonna be changed.
Again, what else are they supposed to do? In order to make an informed decision, they need information and statistics, which you don't just snap your fingers and conjure out of thin air. Everything takes time, patience is a virtue.

No way out - Survivors can't open exit gates for 34 seconds after gens were repaired.
Remember me - All survivors except obsession open exit gates 16 seconds slower (28 seconds in total)
Bloodwarden - Survivors can't leave through exit gates for 60 seconds.
In total this gives 122 seconds of no available exit. Slap noed on that and it seems to be pretty good.
Slap on stridor spirit and you've got a deal

Idk apparent they dont look at the new chapter data until a month and a half
Here's a summary of why I'm so angry
Well that's how you do statistics; you have to give it time for an adequate period of data collection. Whenever you conduct experiments, you don't take results after 5 seconds.
I think we all know that Trickster is bad, we just need to know how bad he is if we're going to give him a buff. We don't want another Freddy, I'm sure.

Dont make excuses for them. At any point during the design process they could have forseen he was woefully underpowered. There is no excuse for releasing him in the state he is in.
Don't be so ideological. They have a strict schedule and you can't just rush through a hotfix in a week, without having it be either a buggy mess, woefully overpowered, or both. They didn't have much time between the PTB and release to gather actual feedback (which is more than just going onto the forums and reading some of the very, very helpful criticism on here [April fools]), coming up with a solution, and then implementing the solution. Even Ghostface took some time to get him to the state he's in right now, and back then they had a much more efficient workplace and a much less crowded agenda.

It’s bad, I’d say you know he is the killer because there is blood on him but then again there is survivor prestige.
He’s almost like legion, what is stopping these massive survivors like David from pummeling this guy other than “magic entity power”?
Well he does have a giant axe guitar.
-
BHVR better not stop until we get Jeff in a maid outfit
-
Laurie looks like she just escaped from the methadone clinic, but have you seen Quentin?
-
Well I did have a trapper try to say the N word in endgame chat before, so yes, I would think he's quite problematic.
-
Realm Beyond updates are already bringing graphical updates, so the devs are prioritizing reworks over new maps. Next one is Coldwind Farm, I hear. The devs did say that they may give Trickster his own map in the future, though.
-
Good loopers can last in chase for 30 seconds and good killers can slug for 30 seconds. With the nearest nerfs, it should probably proc multiple times, or last twice as long if it really wants to be an anti-tunnel perk.
-
It feels pretty great to tunnel. (I'm not being sarcastic. I got 5 teabagging Neas in a row).
That being said, there never were BS DS hits. It's not meant to be an anti-tunnel perk, it's just a second chance that gave them another chance in the case of "tunneling," among other things. If I get hit by a DS, oh well. If I don't, oh well. If the flashlight clicking Nea hits me with a DS, you bet I'm not going to just stop tunneling there.
-
Honestly, I feel the exact opposite. His new POV is just weird and he feel too "sticky," that is, I literally cannot slide off of objects anymore. But again, I don't main Blight.
-
Oh honey, remember SAW? Darkness Among Us?
We got Pig (Even I can't say she's good), Tapp (Nobody can say he's good) and The Game. Then, Legion (OLD legion), Jeff (He's hot but bad), and old Ormond (No explanation necessary)
-
Probably. He was obviously released in a time crunch, they'll buff him later. The three-month release schedule is clearly causing some issues, especially with COVID.

I'd personally argue that BHVR is more liable to be sued for selling people a product in which the basic features don't work 90% of the time.
If that's your case then I don't think BHVR is going to even hire a lawyer for that.

This is the opposite of what that law says, friend. You have been lied to.
230 was amended to have that liability of enforcing the law. Sites like backpage were prosecuted for failing to meet this standard.
-
Nurse's, BBQ, Deathbound, and Make Your Choice.
Nurse's, BBQ, and Deathbound are all info perks. Wraith does really well with these, since he has pretty basekit good mobility now and can easily approach survivors unnoticed. BBQ has the added benefits of it's literally free money, and deathbound is very useful for tracking survivors outside of Nurse's range. Make Your Choice is a very economical pick; consistent instadowns are always great.
-
Can't blame you. The community has just been getting worse and worse.
And if you're looking for new games to play, I cannot recommend bloodborne enough. I swear on my right kidney at 3 toes that you'll love it.
-
That would be really interesting and I'd be 100% in favor (if I had any friends to play with), but BHVR already has a lot on their plate. The three month release schedule is clearly causing difficulties, especially with work-from-home.

They love to go out of their way to make sure you get next to no value out of a bloody party streamer or pudding. The sight of one must trigger some deep-seated rage within their souls.
It's truly something to behold how burning one is almost a guarantee that all players will actively try to end a match as soon as possible with the least amount of BP possible.
Whenever I get BPS or other bloodpoint offerings, we all move to Oklahoma and the farming begins. Unless there's a Nea. Which servers do you play on?

Or they could just say "online interactions not rated" and let people exist
That covers it for the ESRB, not the Justice Department. The ESRB is a total joke, anyhow.
-
Well I can say, as a shameless soft tunneler, that you are more or less correct. Unfortunately, tunneling is just the most fun way for killers to play the game. It immediately takes the load of generator pressure off of your back, which really lets you loosen up and play relaxed. With three survivors, the game gets exponentially harder for survivors. Get one survivor on the hook, and one has to be doing a generator by themselves, the other has to go for the save, and if they're both injured, they have to heal first, plenty of time for you to scout out and find someone. It's a bit ironic; you use an unfun playstyle so you can have a fun game.
It's not like DS really dissuaded anybody from tunneling too hard, although I wouldn't want to eat one unless I'm really committed to that one Nea, but yeah, you can expect to see a subway disaster of a tunneling mess in the near future. Even a return to old DS won't solve that.

Couldn’t tell, considering its a common occurrence to belittle console players on these forums but I appreciate sarcasm when I see it. Makes me laugh 💜
Yeah I just realized I can't use a sarcastic voice when typing. I should probably start using that /s thing.
-
It's such a situational perk. In any time when the killer is close by the slug, it's useless because he can just swing and one of you is downed again. If he's far away, might as well just heal normally. It's only in that tiny window between approaching you and approaching you too quickly that you find use for it.
-
If you think that's bad, try adept David.

@VikingWilson said:
No one but killer players, are who. I once was a bonafide killer main, but now I hardly play a few times a week. Survivors keep talking about balance, but continuously making the killer role harder to play is not balance, it's appeasement at the expense of the killer.
BHVR is so scared to give killers actual buffs; any buff made, a reduction is made elsewhere. Survivor? Forget about it, even their nerfs are beneficial to survivors if there's any practical change of effect at all. DS is slightly less abusable, this has survivors in an uproar, but the only real change is to not work on a generator in front of the killer's face. Boo-#########-hoo. It took how long for this management to make even that change?
Blight nearly had a lower POV than Victor, a baby, even while his head was feet above grass. How long did it take for this management to fix that tomfoolery? "Between PTB and release" should be the answer, but who the ######### cares about killer fun? Not the makers of the game, that's blazingly evident.
Sure, the game looks good and does keep looking gooder, but the functionality of the game is in the ground and not looking up. I'm just not giving Behavior any more money if this is what they're doing with it.
Someone's been having a bad day.
Wraith and Blight got buffs. Trickster is remarkably fun for such a weak killer. Take what you have and be grateful it's not EA.
-
I had two people unhook themselves within 20 seconds of each other and both got out with a key. I would be mad, but the amount of divine intervention to get two self-unhooks in a row is frightening and I didn't want to get smited.
-
The point of her traps really isn't ever to kill. It's to stall. If survivors can't see the boxes, they won't search for them. I don't ever run rule set 2 because of that. I want to stall them, not to increase the already small chances I kill them. As for a guaranteed failed first box, that has to do more with RNG in general. I like what they did with trapper's flat distribution, maybe we could consider that instead?
Plus, we're still neglecting her crouch ability. Combat straps should probably become base kit, her stealth should kick in much more immediately, crouching speed should probably be increased (if Ghostface can stealth around quickly then so should Amanda), her ambush is currently kind of not-so-great, so its charge, speed, and range should be examined, among others.
-
Well, Twins certainly were "creative". The idea of a dual presence on the map is something never done before. I enjoyed playing them, until I played survivor against them and swore to never put anybody through that pain again. They certainly aren't "subpar" either.
Blight is like watered-down Billy for beginners. I quite like his power; it's very much anti-distance, and forces survivors into actual loops. A lot of people like to complain about "holding w" as a cardinal sin, so I think his addition was pretty healthy too. Yeah, I agree it's pretty uncreative thematically, they could have gone into much more depth for a gothic alchemist-based power, but it's not like his power is half bad.

I’m sorry for your incapabilities.
I'm sorry you play on console.
-
Honestly sounds like a troll post.
But to that point, the only reason people are crying about All-Kill is because Trickster is pitifully underwhelming and people get so dramatic and theatrical over it. I'm quitting the game forever, he's a photo of me deleting, etc. etc. The new changes to Wraith and Blight are pretty good, the survivor definitely has some interesting perks (Smash hit has the distinction of being a 4 second sprint; really changes how we think about unsafe pallets, for both sides), and Trickster isn't boring to play. He really needs a buff, but patience is a virtue and we don't all play to sweat. It's just this community getting to its histrionics again.
There's probably a healthy dose of confirmation bias too. Everybody was so eager to just crap on this chapter because of thematic dissonance or whatever. Remember when the SAW chapter came out? We got the pig (Even a shameless pig main like me has to admit she's weak), Tapp (Who is neither hot nor has good perks), and the first iteration of The Game (no explanation needed).
-
Totally agree. Something powerful in the Killer's base kit should probably be counteracted by something in the survivor's base kit, at least somewhat. Without DS, there are no penalties for tunneling, and it's still the most efficient way to win games.
That and a bloodpoint penalty. This game is pretty grind-heavy and there's no punishment worse than taking away people's money.
-
Not really. There are many opportunities to bounce off of objects, but perhaps too many. With blight, it's a thin balance between not enough objects and too many. Maps like The Game or Springfield are pretty good at this balance, corn maps are way on the side of not enough objects, and Lery's is on the other side of "I can't use my power without bumping into 5 objects in less than second."

No other killer can spread out their hits; you either hit them, or you don't. With trickster, you can build up 1/8th of a hit, but they make it too hard to get hits.
You make it sound like it's a good thing lol
Well, it is a nice concept. That's why he's ranked "easy"; you have 50 chances, and 42 of them can miss. It's just that it's too watered down to live up to its conceptual greatness.

Nobody's saying he's going to be an absolute god, or even that he's going to be good, but every time there's a new killer, people don't play them with 100% efficiency. Trickster is going to be bad, undeniably, but not as bad as he's being played right now. Eventually, people will figure out when to throw, where they can throw, and those other little nuances that let people use his rather unimpressive basekit better.
