Keep in mind Australia is about 16 hours ahead of some parts of USA and Europe.

It is only 8 hours ahead of the central Europe. Patches, if I remember correctly, come out between 7 - 9PM at +2 timezone. So if they, in Australia, have the new DLC for 1-2 hours, it would be correct to say, that today, at 7-9 PM we will have the new DLC released (at +2 timezone).

I bet you also wondered why the Aussies didnt warn the States for 9/11 huh?

  • The reason why gen rushing doesnt exists is because its the one objective survivors need to do in order to escape.

Faster killer for shorter chases? You mean you simply want free kills? I know killers are in a bad shape right now but that has nothing to do with the speed of the killer. Its because all of these loops give truesight of the killer. Make small walls big without gaps in them and watch killers end loops faster. Maybe then survivors actually attempts to escape from line of sight rather than run in circles.

  • No one talking about Leatherface who is literally wearing someones face.

  • I have absolutely no idea what this means. It feels like instead of random picking characters or perks you decided to randomly pick sentences to create a thread with.

  • Huntress = Bunnymom
    Leatherface = Mr. TumTums

Kinda took them over watching Angrypug saying it all the time.

  • Ive seen clips where the killer spawns with 1 or more survivors in the shack.

  • They said in a stream they were working on another gamemode.

I for one hope for a zombie mode where theres 1 killer 9 survivors.

    No items
    No hooks
    No generators
    Mori without hook restriction

When you get moried you change in to a random killer

Ends when theres only one survivor left to be declared the ultimate survivor.

  • Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey macarena!

  • It used to be 500k but I would love to have a way of increasing it. Maybe increase it by 5.000 per prestige and by 50.000 per devotion level.

We give them money, we want the changes we ask for. We're not "entitled whiny brats", we're paying customers who want a product to be a certain way. This is NOT a free DLC. We have a right to complain.

Buy the DLC then complain as a customer its totally not how you expected it eventhough theres been a PTB for you to access and try out for free.

  • Reach rank 5 on Hillbilly, now lets stomp rank 20's on the Trapper.
Reach Rank 5 on Trapper, now lets stomp rank 20's on Leatherface.
Reach rank oh you get the point.

  • I think the easyest licensed character to be allowed to make new skins for would probably be Bill.

  • Heres more, Kate gets one and the trapper gets some, also the outfits for the new survivor and killer.

If you are a survivor main that hugs pallets like a weeaboo hugs body pillows I have grim news for you. The new killer comes with the unique perk "Spirit Fury" (Or something like that). This perk at tier three behaves as follows:

After breaking 2 pallets the next time you are stunned the Entity will immediately break the pallet. When this is combined with Enduring your pallet is essentially null leaving you wide open for a free hit. This negates looping hard. You have been warned.

'Loopers' can pretty much just be alternatively named "normal survivors". What survivor doesn't loop? There's no easier way to waste the killer's time. We'll only see a change to this when survivors get more creative and skilled or when even more tools are given to survivors.

They have added a new survivor perk that when used well is great. "Distraction" lets you create a custom noise indication by throwing a rock after having been in the TR for a certain span of time.

Ive seen a game with Bahroo, Pug and Zubatlol where they played against eachother and none of them even noticed anything when rocks were thrown. That perk is absolute garbage.

  • No one complained when Kate was released she looked to much like Laurie but when a black guy gets released he looks exactly like another black guy...

    I agree

I wanted my kawaii japanese chibi girl survivor wich I wouldnt play cause I couldnt stand seeing her hurt.

Survivors actually DO have the tools to counter BBQ. They have perks that counter it (Lightweight, Sprint Burst). They have mechanics that counter it (staying inside the 40/46/52 meter detection range, moving unpredictably after the aura reading ends to evade the killer if they were outside the detection range).

Lightweight and Sprint Burst are not counters to BBQ, they do not prevent you from beeing seen. The problem with BBQ is the aura reading but that goes for every single perk that applies aura reading wether its for the killer or survivor. Aura reading in my opinion goes against the purpose of this game. You should never be given truesight of your opponent in this game.

    Which is completely WRONG.
This is a horrorgame about supernatural killer.
Have you ever checked the sourcematerial? Like watched some slasher movies?
Seen how often the killer appear just in time at the right spot?
They are guided by some plotdevices, like what you call "truesight". Like guided by the entity.
This is not kindergarten simulator for playing hide and seek.

Ah my bad, I completely forgot that time Meyers saw Laurie threw a wall with a big red aura 60 meters away.

If you were any proper killer you wouldnt need to play hide and seek and actually find people without relying on auras.

If you say that people use self-care all the time and its op use nurse's calling//sloppy butcher/coulrophobia - problem solved.

you'd think there is a problem if you bring 3 perks to counter 1 perk from survivor. what about other 3 cheat perks?

ps: like nurse's calling stops self-care in anyway at high ranks

So because you don't like the otehr sides perks they're cheats rigggghhhttt. So since survivors don't like NOED, RUIN, NURSE's etc that makes them cheats using your logic. The killer might have this perk well that means I need to bring this one and so on. Well then what if it's this killer, well then I need to bring this perk.

Also if you don't think nurses calling doesn't help with sc you're in denial.

    1) learn English.
    2) I don't like imbalanced perks. you like them? gtfo.
    3) killer perks have to change game. Survivor has to adapt. Not the other way around
    4) survivors don't like anything
    5) NC does not help. Survivors counter it OR survivors use it. It helps only against noobs who heal not under pallet loop. It does not stop/slow/hinder healing in anyway and if you are that close to killer, killer can hear you anyway. it's only useful on wraith, since he hears worse in spirit realm
    6) Survivors have perks that counter specific killer = ok. Survivors have perks that counter all killer + specifically counter few killer + change gameplay = cheats. If you don't see this, you're in denial.
    7) Noed, ruin = are balanced. Ruin should be buffed, tbh. Had problem with it only once, because killer was laggy af.
    8) you didn't refute this point:

you'd think there is a problem if you bring 3 perks to counter 1 perk from survivor. what about other 3 cheat perks?

    in any way

Talking about someone's English followed by the most atrocious grammar ever...

Also search the definition of cheating.. Using a perk isnt cheating you twat.

you don't know English too, apparently. Since you don't know how to read. I never talked about grammar.
    right back at you, twat

I never wrote you talked about grammar. I wrote you talked about someone's English AND then follow up with atrocious grammar. Dont talk about someone's lack of English writing and/or understanding if you dont even know how to type it in the first place.

@HellDescent have you played survivor? 90% of the time, solo teammates are useless. It’s either every man for himself or a farmers convention. I understand that some SWF squads may be toxic (I’ve had my share of them as killer), but the majority of us are not. We just want to play with people who know what they’re doing instead of idiots who still run through all the hag traps under the hook at rank 1.

"waaah i need swf to win"

"waaah i need 4 solo survivors to win"

  • You can use the decoy in chases around walls so survivors have less chance to loop you.

Or you can send out a decoy and then stand still yourself while using this addon:

Removes your hearthbeat after using Decoy giving it to your decoy instead for its duration. (Very Rare)

You could for example use it after running behind a tree or wall and the survivors think you keep running and try to go for a save for example.

  • @swenpai said:
wait, so his power is just like the hag isn't it?

No you send out 1 moving decoy in a direction and by pressing the button again you switch to it.

For example you send it to one side of the wall then walk on the other side chasing the survivor and switch back to cut the survivor of.

Something like Halo: Reach has but then you can switch to it.

You've just comented on my image I made of a killer 'The Samurai'. Maybe some of these abilities could go in favour of the image I made? hmm.

    Love the idea though!

Also, Not sure if you saw my Mimic Dlc, I also had a perk which mirror'ed the skillchecks.
    Can be found here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/8247/the-mimic-killer-idea-image#latest

Thanks! Yeah I think mirroring the skill checks will catch people by surprise because they always look from right to left.

  • Remindsme of the killer suggestion I had few months ago. I think the second one is better because of the mask.

I am starting to get tired of this thread, but I will give you a polite answering pointing out why you are wrong:

    Reason 1:
You are simply not experienced enough after your break. The devs changed the survivor hitboxes and accidentially introduced the thing called looping. You run in circles around objects and because of the hitbox, the killer cant catch up as fast as they should.
The hard part of killing a surivor is catching him, not finding him.

If he played a year ago he knows about looping because there used to be literal infinites where killers would never catch you if you didnt screw up.

  • Just a uick update: Managed to fix it using a tool called Dual Monitor Tool. It allows me to set up a keybind to lock the cursor on the screen it currently is. Thanks for the effort for those who tried to help!

There is no difference whether you use your bloody party streamers now or during a double bp event, the bonus doesnt multiply

    Wrong. Double BP event + 3 BPS = 4 X bloodpoints. eg 20K in game = 100K received.

You dont get the point.. BPS adds 100% of the base so it doesnt matter if you use it now or during a double event. The 100% extra from the double event is also about the base. You dont gain extra experience using it during a event than if you would use it outside of it.

Playing a 20k game now without BPS and a 20k then with one wich results in 60k is the same as getting 40k now with BPS and 40k then without.

  • The randomness of closed doors is what makes me hate the map. Cant find generators unless you run dejavu. If the map wasnt random but just fixed as one than its easyer for survivors to get used to it without killers losing their powerrole on it.

  • If the answer is out there then the result must be recgonizable wich probably means its a licenced killer no one is getting cosmetics for.

I personally think that the moment they made the store the thought of licenced killers went away because it costs money not make it. (compared to unique that have store skins)

  • Where did you find this? Any twitter I need to follow?

    I lol'ed.

They've already been drastically nerfed by requiring a hook before you can mori. I like being mori'ed. It's a nice change, especially when a killer uses a green mori on me. It feels like they considered me enough of a threat to forego some points just to get me out of the match.

Yeah you are a real threat getting caught twice.

Just stumbled upon a blog post on the European PlayStation Blog, with tips on how to play DbD, as it is one of this months free PS+ games. I found it very interesting to see the 4th bulletpoint on how to play Killer:

    "4. Bait the hook

Grab a weakened survivor, stick them on a hook and then…hide nearby. Wait. Would-be rescuers will be distracted long enough for you to launch an attack."

I'm a killer main myself, but encouraging new players to camp hooks is a surefire way to turn off any potential newcomers from playing survivor.

Not sure if you realized, but camping isn't a bad thing.
And in fact, bailing the hook is one of the strongest strategies because this way the survivors come to you and you don't have to follow them running in circles just to be stunned by a pallet

Experienced survivors make a u-turn and do all of the gens while you think they are still close and whine in post lobby about gen rushing.

  • Check the killers ping before you press ready.

  • Claudette > David King

Self Care, Empathy, Dead Hard and WGLF are all you need for a good experience and to farm. Then unlock Meg for her perks and then decide whos next yourself.

  • @brokedownpalace said:
It's obvious why. They want to appeal to a mass audience. That's how you make more money. Second, the game for solo survivors is a lot more difficult. They kind of need to bridge the gap otherwise solo survivors could be turned off and stop playing the game OR they'll feel like they have get a group to play. Either way, this means more SWF players. I'm pretty sure that's not something you want as a killer.

This is also ignoring the fact that you could put a couple hundred hours into this game and still be learning new things. Especially since things are constantly changed. Nobody wants to have to sit and read a 50 page tutorial.

This is a pvp game not a roleplaying game where everything needs to be explained. You are supposed to put some effort in learning gamemechanics by reading perks and others stuff thats what pvp is about. You learn by playing. These hud updates need to go.

  • @ZombieGenesis said:
I think those are good to start with but they should vanish with time/rank.

Yeah maybe once you hit rank 5 for the first time you willnever see them again.

  • Its still better than it was when the vacuum was a thing. Then you could throw the pallet down 2 meters before you reached it and get vacuumed on the other side all within a second.

Imagine a triple Dead Hard followed by beeing safe behind a pallet. As a survivor main ill take these hits for granted.

  • Removing these would put killers in a better state. I even think there should be a 25% chance your addons wont be depleted after the match for every kill you make. As a survivor main as long as I escape I pretty much have my items and addons forever.

  • @Peanits said:
Wouldn't want people to feel forced to prestige a bunch just to get extra powerful offerings. The rest is common enough that even a casual player could reasonably get it.

Came up with addons for killers because they really benefit from them and really need them in a match. Figured addons for survivors would just make things even again so went with offerings instead. Yeah I guess 5k is a bit to low but in the end its only extra. Perhaps 15k is a better value.

  • The only reason they made this is to avoid people purposely de-pipping back to 20 to dominate new/bad players. Wich on its own only shows that the current system is terrible.

Apart from a one time achieved achievement theres absolutely no reason to rank up. Even streamers purposely dc like angry pug and morf. Morf even said its fine because of the amount of games he plays its only a small percentage but what he doesnt understand is that eventhough he plays more his dc games also affect more players..

Whats worse. Someone dcing 10 games out of 100 or someone 200 out of 2000 in the same time period. The guy dcing 10 games ruins 80 peoples games while the guy dcing 200 times ruins 1600 peoples games in the same timeframe. The argument about percentage should be invalid in my opinion.

I put little to no effort getting survivor chops for the summer bbq event. In no time at all i got all 50 tokens for killer then stopped playing. I didn't even bother with survivor because i don't play survivor and lets be honest the reward is garbage.

the reward for survivors is garbage and i agree since i got it and dont have kate unlocked yet it was hard to get it but i farmed for 2 days strait so i did and i agree i was annoyed that killers have less tokens. and what if all 5 people use a BBQ offering???? the killer can still use all 7 hooks while the survivors get only 5 of the 7 gen tokens.

Annoyed killers require less tokens? As a killer you need to hook all by yourself.. As a survivor you dont need to be the one to repair those 90 generators..

  • Its literally 6 to 10 clicks to change 4 perks..

  • You remember incorrectly.

Now you get guaranteed 2 generators and hooks in a match but you still need to repair the generators to get a margarita. Each offerings adds an additional generator and hook but they also need to be repaired. You get 1 margarita for every special generator thats repaired not for every offering used.

On top of that those who did use a offering will get experience for each special generator repaired. 4500 experience. Killers will get 5500 experience for each hook they hooked a survivor on as long its a special hook. Each hook only gives out the reward once. In this case killers will only get the experience if they brought the offering aswell.
