I'll be fair and admit they gave the Blight a lot of tuning, so perhaps people will figure him out in due time.
But otherwise, this will hands-down be the worst chapter since the absolute disaster that was Flesh and Mud.
-
That would just make them completely unfair and they're already on the border of the fairness line because keys exists.

Yeah did they fixed all or most of the bug/clitches in the game?
Did they optimise the console versions?
Sure you have an graphics update for 2 maps which is nice and all.
But I'm just talking about all those bugs and clitches not the graphics.
No game will ever fix "all" its glitches, but yes, the game is always being optimized and patched.
We don't need and will never get a whole "QOL chapter" just because console players don't understand that the issue with fixing optimization isn't because BVHR is just too busy pumping out chapters to do it.
-
lol this chapter is basically the QOL chapter.

My Meg hasn't completed a bloodweb since 2016.
Come to think of it, it's actually a terrible reflection of how little the meta has changed that I have pretty much every perk I want on her even without updating her in four years.
-
I didn't use any special perks. Just did every totem I saw, ran around the map after the gens were complete to cleanse any surviving totems, and then hoped for the best. After about four or five tries, it was done.
-
Hard disagree with both parts of this.
Clown's map is terrible.
And plenty of good maps since then.
-
This is a solid point OP. Back when Pug was still streaming this game, he actually made a really good argument about this kind of thing. There are so many overbalanced perks, to where you could set their value to 100%, or remove every drawback, and even after doing that still not a single person would run that perk.
For a brief moment, they seemed to have understood this when they adjusted Calm Spirit and Spies from the Shadows, but even after those perks were buffed (and still ignored because they fundamentally are not good perks) they continue to introduce even more terrible perks with unnecessary limitations. Too many new and old perks just don't need these kinds of restrictions.
Technician has a 100% to not cause an explosion? Nobody cares.
Deja Vu lets you see generators all game? Nobody cares. (Also, whoever came up Felix's Visionary, literally Deja Vu with its own useless restriction, needs to be moved to a different department. Do not let them design a single other perk.)
Boil Over has an unlimited hook obscuring range? Still terrible.
Maybe SWF stops WoO from being obviously safe as a map-wide perk , but it certainly doesn't need to have any kind of cooldown. Meanwhile, Zanshin Tactics could reveal the entire map and it would still be just as much of a noob-only perk.
Territorial Imperative doesn't become problematic in the slightest if you remove that pointless cooldown.
And so on.

Incoherent rants randomly throwing 'Karen' into completely inappropriate contexts is becoming its own pandemic.

Also, why is she called "The Spirit" and not "The Banshee"? That never made sense to me
Probably because she's a spirit and not a banshee.

Omg leatherfav, you can't just ask people why they're blue.
-
Deep Cleansing took over a year for me to finish. That's a rough one. Not hard, I suppose, but super tedious.

Maybe extra shards. But cells? Hardly think BHVR would allow us to build up cells for free and buy cosmetics they’re making bank on. I think maybe a cosmetic with our Devotion level number on it or something—maybe every five or ten levels, so we don’t have 100 numbered shirts in our inventory.
Considering how many hours it takes to level up one hundred times, some auric cells after each devotion level is hardly too much to ask.

Most players enjoy the game. The small portion that can't handle losing and/or being bad at the game are the ones that flock to forums to complain is all.

Kill rush = survivors all stood in one place and let the killer hit them because the W key was to hard to find.
Gen rush = survivors just doing their objective efficiently because their objective is to quick and easy in comparison to ending chases. Swf compounds this by not letting gens regress when you chase someone off it and no gen time being wasted for saves.
One is the survivors fault. the other is bad game design.
Alternatively:
Kill Rush = Killer ended the game fast because their only objective rewards using unfun and frustrating gameplay mechanics.
Gen Rush = Killer wasted all his time tunneling and/or poorly providing pressure and let the other Survivors easily complete their only objective.
It's a non-argument either way, but there you go.

That said I really loved Billy's original stun noise. Before it was a weird, muffled roar.
All three of these choices are legendary.
-
You don't need to assault your keyboard to struggle.
Light tapping is fine.
-
Imagine using Deliverance.
-
All great ideas. Especially reverting the reset time.
The nerf from PTB to live was a fine example of the over-balancing that has gutted most Survivor perks over the last three years on arrival.
-
"Second-chance"
If Survivors "shouldn't have" any perks that help them when they're downed/going down, killers shouldn't have any perks to help them down survivors. (Which would obviously be ridiculous.)
-
I'd be fine with that if the Totems lit up immediately when interacted with.
But always? No.
-
Ace, Ghostface or Michael.
-
The chase music usually isn't finished by the time of the PTB. It will almost certainly be added by the time the chapter releases.

Not really, at the very least with Felix, that has a lot of his backstory and character connected to his father and the group, and Talbolt only start exploring the metaphysical (and thus, attracting the Entity) after being saved by the group. I don’t see why the existence of the cult is such a problem, again, is been mentioned before.
It's fine if you don' mind the existence of these cults in the lore, but it's pretty hard to argue either of them were well-written. With both of the new characters, the addition of the Entity studies is clunky and heavy-handed. Blight had a standard story that could have reasonably ended when he was left for dead in the ditch, but for some reason he had to be mysteriously saved, only to be mysteriously betrayed, and finally to mysteriously disappear. Why any of this necessary when Blight had already been blithely responsible for mass murder and been extensively involved in the botanical experiments that tie into his powers is the real mystery.
And I already explained how the actions of Felix's father's group are absurd even if you actually accept that Entity-aware secret societies exist.
-
The Secret Entity-Studying Society in Felix's lore was hilariously convoluted. You're telling me these parents let their children just run around freely on an island they know is linked to and preyed upon by a malevolent eldritch horror?
And their only response when said horror shows up, the same entity that they ostensibly have been preparing to meet for generations, was to just be taken themselves?
Sometime less is more. Both Felix and the Blight have lores that could have had half of the weird Entity stuff excised and it would have made for a much more tidy story.

You... I like you.
I aim to please! 😄

Yeah, a limit would be good. Maybe she should only be able to place 10 traps at a time, and also limit the distance she can teleport from, like no further than 40m without addons. That'd be a good way to make her balanced. Hmm.
-
Pyramidhead was great.
Deathslinger was okay.
This one is definitely on the boring side though.
-
Nothing seems to suggest they are the same person.
-
The bias is dripping off this post.
Claiming that Survivors get strong perks all the time but no one ever uses them because "overshadowed" is one of the worst recurring arguments about this game. The perks suck. No one uses them because they suck. There's no special secret that Survivors are too stubborn to figure out. We perfectly understand how those perks can be used and overwhelmingly choose not to use them because they are objectively terrible compared to the meta.
Bar MoM, Survivors have gotten absolute garbage since David. The only truly interesting ones since then have been Inner Strength and Head-On (and Head-On is just a meme). Not one of the new survivor perks are strong.
The Survivor perks you call "strong" are terrible.
The Killer perks you downplay as simply being strong range from strong to busted.
-
@pwncxkes said:
I would actually use streetwise over Built to last imo
Same.
The worst part is that the fact that we're getting comparable versions of perks which aren't being used seems to suggest they have no plans to actually rework and buff those perks. Instead they're just adding ripoffs that should have been folded into the existing perks to make them better.
-
I'm not surprised. David is hideous, and yet has been drooled over for years.

Steve's? Isnt ash perks shittier?
Ash is pretty bad, but he'll always have an asterisk in perception because of how broken the original MoM was.
-
I would expect it to be added later. Every time they've had new chase music in the PTB, the theme was reworked for actual release.
Even in the most recent PTB, Billy didn't have a new chase. But he did when the update actually launched.
-
Felix has ended Steve's reign as the worst Survivor of all.
-
They literally made a Deja Vu 2.0.
BHVR, what the actual $#%@?
We knew the perks would probably be trash, but there's trash, and then there's whatever this is. "Trash" is too nice an adjective for any of them.
-
The PTB is out, you can freely discuss the upcoming info. But it would probably be better to post an English source.
-
The Hatch offerings feel counterproductive if you're a Survivor. The Hatch is only useful if you can find it first, but when both killer and survivor know were it probably is, the Killer is going to reach it faster most of the time. They'd need to be Secret to really be good.
-
I really like that we're finally getting new offerings. Offerings are one of those game features that haven't been updated in years, beyond taking certain offerings out of rotation entirely.
-
You turned off crossplay and still got games?
Must be nice.
-
I'm furious! The PTB was supposed to be out at 11:00, but it was actually out at 11:02!!! ######### BVHR!
Seriously though, you can restart Steam and it will be available now.
-
Who knows, there's virtually nothing to go off of. This is by far the most barebones amount of teaser content we've ever gotten. I'm actually disappointed.
-
Lack of chat is such a major step backwards. OP is dead-on, it feels like you're playing with bots.
I'm going to enjoy the PTB tomorrow for the simple fact we'll be in an all-PC environment again.
Edit: Apparently this was my 1000th post (despite the counter saying it was the 1016th...), woohoo.
-
The shack is cool.
NGL though, the rest of the pics look more or less the same as what we already have to me.
-
I love the Classics.
-
Gonna stop you right there.
You don't need to play the game every day, or day in and day out. I can't imagine why you ever would unless you're a streamer. Treating the game as a game, i.e. something to do for fun when you have time to kill, is the only real to enjoy yourself.
-
It's been outdated for years.
@Funkerlied said:
Then there would be no need to buy any DLC at all, you could just level up and get everything for free or get a 150k bloodpoints without actually playing the game. I'd rather it this way so that DLC is relatively cheap and people actually know the perks they're actually buying than just buying ones that are "good for noobs".
Except the exact purpose of the Shrine is not force players to buy new content. Not to mention that there are so many perks in the game that the amount of grind it takes to get Shards to buy so many is more than enough to encourage players to just buy DLC anyway.
There's no excuse for how laughably out-of-date they've let the Shrine become.
-
Claudette. Still my main to this day.
-
Meg, I brought her to Lvl 50 just after the Legacy deadline. She's now my 2016 time capsule.
But I also won't touch Nea, not because of anything special, but because I couldn't care less for her.
-
Giving one side attention at one given time is not bias, but whatever.
Yeah, the fact that countless Survivor perks are useless garbage that could easily be adjusted and haven't been sucks, but there's killer perks that fit that description too.
