Whoever makes these trailers apparently really hates David.
I don't mind it.
-
Yes. I couldn't care less about charms and most of the cosmetics are underwhelming.
-
Not sure about their time zone, but the PTB normally drops at 11 AM EST. Or, 11 hours from now.
-
Old Lady survivor at long last, please.
-
I'm also really happy to see that the green tint might be staying. Macmillan hasn't felt the same since it lost its blue.
-
For Killers, absolutely the Plague. She has literally one skin (though that skin has recolors) that is easily distinguishable from her default. The rest of them all look the same.
Meanwhile, for Survivors, Ace a ton of skins and they're just about universally hideous.
-
Banshee is another solid guess.
-
Personally, I'd say no. Nothing seems to suggest they are anything more than neat skins. There are plenty of other cosmetics that ignore lore in the store, so I don't see why the legendary outfits would be any different.
-
Sounds like you need a better computer.
-
Thanks for starting this thread, OP.
Lately, BHVR's given next to no hints for the upcoming chapters, and the trailers are so minimalist and/or full of misdirection that getting the name is pretty darn difficult. To the point that I haven't even bothered making these kinds of threads. sigh
Speaking of misdirection, this time the diversions are the heavy Until Dawn vibes from trailer & its description. Don't forget that people also thought the Legion was an Until Dawn chapter until it was fully revealed. But this is clearly an original chapter.
Anyway:
The Harpy
The Crone/Witch
The Siren

Making bad perks incompatible with perks that aren't bad is not how you get more people to use bad perks.

Do you really believe that sitting still in tall grass as dark small character and as big and bright character are one and same things?
His post didn't say or imply anything remotely like that, so I'm going to guess that he doesn't.
Complaining about in Claudette in 2020 is so extra.. They've messed with the game's lighting and her clothing more than enough to balance her.

As it turns out, for many, this does not seem obvious.
You're not wrong.
It really should be obvious though.
-
You mean change it so slightly that the difference isn't even remotely impactful?
Why bother?
-
0% chance it's licensed.
-
Probably.
The last one also dropped the next week after a minimalist teaser.
-
2016 DBD was so much fun.
It was totally unbalanced, but that went in both directions.

Let's address the elephant in the room, shall we:
What this does is increase clicks and thus networth etc for the devs, without them having to do much/anything.
:(
Err, yes, they're doing a promotional contest for promotional purposes.
What exactly do you think sweepstakes are supposed to be?
-
The message that comes up with them is way too (inappropriately) specific for this not to be a glitch.

How long do you think it will take until the DC penalty is turned off again
I'll give it two days max.

I’d rather they just remove it entirely rather than replacing it with skill checks. Skill checks aren’t engaging and they don’t demonstrate any actual skill, they’re just an annoying way to force you to pay attention to a naturally uninteresting part of the game. If I’m on the hook, let me sip my coffee in peace.
This.
I'll take what we have now over having to hit more skill checks any day of the week.

It's true that it takes longer to fix bugs but the killer sounds are bugged for months now while the DS bug was removed very fast. The devs clearly don't think that killers having bad sound is something that needs to be changed pretty soon. Very sad.
No, it "clearly" means that fixing sounds isn't as easy fixing that DS bug.
-
The worst thing isn't even when they don't go for the save, it's when they DO, but realize that the killer is close, get scared, and run away (90% of the time getting hit or downed anyway).
Way too many teammates don't seem to understand that Farming > Letting your teammate go to second phase.
-
Eh. I've personally been enjoying solo queue (or DBD as a whole) a lot more recently. More than I have in years.
-
It will eventually close on its own, 30 seconds after being opened, if more than one survivor still hasn't escaped.
The Hatch page on the wikia does describe this, btw.

Felix is the first character to ever explicitly have a sexuality, and he's straight. If they were just pandering, they would have just made Felix their token gay.
Small correction: the Nurse was the first character to explicitly mention her orientation.
True. I forgot about her and Oni. Felix would be the first survivor, then.

My thoughts are a mess right now. If what I say doesn't make a lot of sense right now, that's why.
What I mean is politics dont belong in video games. And if they are inserted, it should be natural and not forced.
Well, I'd say the issue is that people will call anything and everything political. To some people, your harmless recommendation of just having a gay character, subtly and without even focusing on that in their bio, is political. Yui got a surprising amount of backlash initially because her story of domestic assault was "political", and Zarina being Arab-American filmmaker was automatically "political" even though they kept the focus of her work fairly simple. And personally, I'm of the opinion that if simply acknowledging that other kinds of people or experiences exist is politics, then I can't agree that politics don't have a place in games.
At any rate, I think BHVR is taking a very careful, unforced approach to dealing with these things. Felix is the first character to ever explicitly have a sexuality, and he's straight. If they were just pandering, they would have just made Felix their token gay.

I guess I'm just lost in the weeds on this one. I haven't noticed much in the way of any kind of politics on the main website or in chat after games. I'm not really sure what is getting under the OP's skin? Are you talking about the personal Steam Accounts, Twitter, and all that of our Player base? If so, nothing obligates you to go look at anyone's personal accounts. Aside from the odd person bringing a politically charged topic (like you) into this Forum, I haven't encountered anything of the sort. What am I missing?
And if you are talking about the social media accounts of other Players, they have the right to make whatever statement they want.
You're not missing anything. BLM, LGBT issues or whatever else gets posted in community channels obviously has nothing even remotely to do with cosmetic prices, solo queue, or keys and mories. But I guess no one ever said DBD forum rants have to be rational.
-
@bubbabrotha said:
Exactly. I'm just so tired of every thing having to be woke. I just want to have fun. Representation is cool and all but either be genuine or don't bother. If they do make an LGBT character, make it subtle. Don't make it their character.
But they are being genuine, and yet you're still complaining.
Up to now not a single character has been explicitly LGBT and you're already telling them exactly how they need to handle it.
What you say and what you mean don't match up.
-
I'm sort of tempted to give at least half credit for them, so maybe "Mediocre" would have been a bit closer to how I feel. But Pebble and Autodidact have ridiculous requirements for underwhelming/unreliable effects. Deliverance is in a weird spot because its overall effect is strong but extremely niche, which makes defining it in terms of 'balance' tricky.
-
You're either just having a bad day or you've had a ridiculously charmed experience up until now, because this game has never not been full of potatoes and tryhards.

F13th lost the playerbase long before the lawsuit even happened. The numbers dropped quickly from release and stabilized between 200-300. The numbers only picked up with big patches and free weekends/sales but quickly fell again.
All the lawsuit did was give the developers an out to announce they were stopping adding content. Why else would they release the statement saying even if it did get settled and they could no more content would be added?
You're dead-on. The constant reference to the F13 lawsuit is just massive hand-waving by both the devs and fans. The game was horribly mismanaged well before the lawsuit ended things for good. They spent months hyping up a new game mode that they dropped completely because they finally realized that the whole idea behind it was stupid.

So you use a strawman to justify your argument and you don't even take the time to listen to what the other side has to say, and yet you say someone else is childish.
A. Learn what a strawman is because you clear don't know what one is.
B. Point me to where I said I disagreed with what was said in the video.
C. Point me to where I said I didn't watch the video.
D. Yes. This streamer worship is childish. Omg this guy said the same thing fifty thousand people have already said but it's really important because HE said it, listen listen listen!!! Enough.

Perhaps actually watch the video before commenting something so dumb. Your anti- streamer sentiment is nonsensical, given the quality of the video that Otz produced.
Omg he worked really hard on it, okay then, such quality, wow :(
The only thing that's nonsense is this childish belief that anyone cares about your favorite streamer as much as you do.
-
Just because a streamer says it doesn't make it important.
-
Nothing here hasn't been brought up by ad nauseam by many other people, including on this very forum. You should try backing up your opinions without relying on some streamer to validate what you think.

You see the problem is you're trying to apply normal logic to a nightmare realm ruled by an ancient being that only appears in the form of spider legs that forces people to play murder tag for all eternity.
I see your point.
I suppose I just expected a little bit more sense when it comes to lore concepts than the same "because" that's good enough for game mechanics.

How does the Legion one not make any sense
Because how does that even begin to work?
He injected one of them with serum and the other three went poof and were inside of the first member? He injected all of them, and then they went poof?
Or, apparently, for some convoluted and not-the-least-bit plausible reason, they were all tied together, injected together , and then fused together?
The logic only gets more and more ridiculous.

Not een a hot David skin though... What did they do his hair?! And that moustache too-
(answer: yeeted it)
Well, to be fair, the David head was always going to be ugly.
It has David's face.
-
...And now David too.. Why do you hate Meg, BHVR?
Also, and I don't even need to see it to say this: the Legion one doesn't make the least bit of sense.
-
Yes to this, for Entity's sake.
It's one thing to complain about how underwhelming some of these buffs are. Fine.
It's another thing to say a nerf wasn't necessary, or that something else should have been changed too. Demonl3y already pointed out that the problem with that, but okay. Fine.
But when you scream about how broken and unfair it is for them to change X, how that's so obviously unbalanced... even though that's exactly how X already works, you might as well just sign your posts with the disclaimer, "I have no idea what I'm talking about!"

I think it's kinda balanced as well, but it still doesn't make sense why survivors don't breathe louder or heavier when exhausted.
This is a game. Most things in it don't "make sense".

Honestly, I think this is pretty accurate.

Feng was an alchoholic .
"well, she won't be drunk"
true, but even then she wouldn't have the physical strength to survive
Speed doesn't mean anything with a reverse bear trap on your head, or that nail mask from Saw 2, or that pit of syringes, or the barbed wire trap, or the bathroom trap
shall I go on?
My point is I have reasoning behind all of my choices.
But that's exactly what you are missing. SAW traps are designed to be a test of a person's inner will, not about their "physical strength".

Feng was an alchoholic, so I doubt she would be able to focus.
Focus Min was a throwback joke to her old character summary, back when the creative department wasn't very, well, creative:

Oop didn't even notice that
are you just going to ignore Laurie in the top tier?
Well, her and Nea are why I said 'most' for the women.
Still, if Saw is about resourcefulness and will to live I don't see how Yui, Feng "Focus" Min, or Meg's odds would be much worse than Nea, Quentin or David's, and especially not worse than the guy who actually died to Jigsaw. Admittedly he didn't really die to a trap, but still.
-
lol ok @ just throwing most of the women in the dead tier and all the men in the survive tiers
-
The "most" wanted is probably Monstrous Shrine, since it's been needed since literally Day One.
-
What? Myers is in love with Amanda.
What kind of messed up fanfiction are you reading?
