Depends entirely on how the other survivor/the killer played that game.
Were they useless cowards? Then assuming the killer wasn't toxic, I'm hanging on until they're caught.
Were they solid teammates? Then I'll let go to give them a fighting chance.
-
I'm at around Tier 11 or so.
The first rift was the best. It was the only one that actually had decent, non-recolor content on the free track. The second one was okay, but I didn't care for the free Feng outfit, and you had to finish the entire rift to get it.

if it's their first appearance in the shrine, they'll cost 2700 shards (for some reason). after that, 2000 every time.
It's actually fairly arbitrary. E.g., Pyramidhead's Deathbound was on the Shrine for the first time Nov. 2020 and was apparently only 2000 Shards. Same for Fixated. Wiki might be wrong about Deathbound, but I definitely remember Fixated being 2000 in its first and only appearance. The only clear pattern is that newer perks tend to be 2700, but even then it's not consistent.
-
Never.
-
I mean, they're all final girls to begin with. That's kind of the point. Even including licenses, the only Survivor that isn't a final girl is Tapp.
-
Clown games.
Zzz....
-
Meg and Claudette, easily.
-
It's the absolute worst.
-
Yeah, that's probably the best perk from the bunch. But I've never been a fan of it. The small set of circumstances where it actually does something important besides giving you easy points is way too small a niche. It's all show and no substance.
-
Killers: Ghostface (You and the ****** reveal mechanic you rode in on), Blight, Plague, Clown (All three are just miserable to play against), and Demogorgon (This last one isn't annoying, but he's just such a weak killer that this a mercy kill more than anything).
Survivors: Felix, Zarina, Steve, Adam, Nea, all of them for the unforgivable crime of bringing nothing but garbage perks to the game. If I hadn't already "saved" Kate in the other thread, I'd throw her on the pile too. Maybe Kate should be there instead of Nea since Balanced Landing was at least decent at one point. Then again, I hate Nea as it is, so I could leave her on the list for no other reason than that.
-
Wouldn't even need 10 for Survivors.
Bill, Claudette, David, Dwight, Elodie, Jeff, Kate, Meg, and Yui
I only ever play those nine, so that was kind of easy. If we're deleting all other perks too, then add in Laurie as #10 for DS, and swap David or Jeff with Ace. I have a soft spot for Ace in the Hole.
Killers are trickier: Wraith, Billy, Nurse, Huntress, Oni, Freddy, Michael, Doctor, Oni, and... eh, why not Spirit.
-
I actually do play Jeff somewhat. I used him for a few rounds yesterday, and I play him more than any other male Survivor besides Dwight. I'm not a fan of him all the same, though.
Both him and Adam have really boring lore, forgettable cosmetics, and mediocre perks. This poll could use an all-of-the-above option, tbh.
-
I thought Dragon's Grip would be meta. I still wouldn't say it's a terrible perk but it's nothing special.
-
I can't believe they lost the rights to use Freddy for the fourth time now.
-
I do! I started recording some stats a few months ago, although instead of my own performance I'm more interested in things like the killer choice and killer perks. The main problem is having to wait all the way to the end of the match when you die early. For now I'm taking a break with it, but it's fun to see the trends over time.
-
I mean she definitely is more ruthless than the kind of Survivors we have so far, but that quote there is missing the context. She said "she knew" but it was more like she didn't want to believe it and was too horrified to admit the truth as opposed to just not caring one way or the other.
-
They had a golden opportunity to make the manager a feisty old bat.
Big miss, imo.

Well then who is it?
You mean the Killer? The Trickster.
The patch notes are up in the usual spot now.
-
For anyone asking for links, don't. :P PTB will drop in like one minute and this thread is getting smaller and smaller by the minute because answers will be deleted.

Does anybody else think the Mightee One is the Entity? Why is it not Mighty? EE can mean Entity (same tee sound at the end).
That seems very possible, nothing about Mightee One feels... good, at this point.
Just another hour to go. Still expecting a faded Korean musician as killer, and a completely unrelated South Asian Pariah survivor, but can't wait to see where this all leads.
-
How are you viewing the wiki (desktop vs. mobile)? What pages are you viewing?
The mouseovers look a bit different from what I remember, but when I hover over the modifiers on the Hillbilly's page, for example, I can still see the actual numbers.
Edit:
Yeah, I can't see the addon info on the mobile version either, but they still show up under desktop. Judging from the notification I'm getting about some kind of update to a "new mobile experience" from Gamepedia, I'm guessing that feature isn't working properly on mobile anymore.
-
I'm surprised you've seen the Wraith that much. I've recently also started noting down some of match details and he was one of the killers I saw the least. Granted only about 30 or so of those matches were after the latest buff.
-
Until this thread, I had forgotten that the Plague PTB made us wait a few more days after she was revealed until we could test the new characters. I much prefer the way they do things now; a spotlight/event reveal generally just means more waiting.
-
AFAIK, any survivor can be the Obsession if anyone has an obsession perk. After the last DS nerf removed the requirement to be the Obsession in order to use the perk (w/o wiggling), the initial obsession choice was randomized so that killers don't know who has DS.

Then don’t unhook when killer is nearby. Can’t tunnel if killer is far away.
That's about as true as saying you can't get DS'd if you don't tunnel.
At any rate, neither me nor the OP were confused about the concept in the first place.
-
Given the context, he's saying that whenever anyone was unhooked the killer would tunnel that person. Not uncommon when there's no DS.

Well i'm just using the clue we were given.
It's just my theory you don't have to be taking an insulting tone ^^
I'm using the same clues and can't understand how you could possibly your conclusion is all. Of course the mysterious voice is not the survivor. Don't take it personally.

@Adeloo said:
to me it sounds like :
it's about the anniversary date of a fire accident.
This could be related to the fire and explosion emojis used with the teaser to body reveal the survivor.
Meaning the survivor could have been a victim of the fire and has bad burned scars on their face, this is why we don't get to see it. And that "Magnum Opus" is their new album, their comeback after a break to recover from their wounds physically and psychologically.
IDK how anyone could think the chapter teaser's traumatic backstory is building up to a reveal of the shocking and disfigured.... survivor?

@Superyoshiegg said:
Sounds like the woman, Yun-Jin could actually be the Killer?
"On that day, don't come near the studio... it may be difficult that day".
That sounds pretty ominous to me.
I get the opposite impression, tbh. Sounds like the Unknown is the person we've been seeing for the last week.
-
You'd think it was a bug, wouldn't you? Like the other recolors in the rift, that Hillbilly outfit debuted in the mobile game, except there the set didn't have a customized part for the legs. So it seems like they just relabeled his default, used it to complete the set for the Rift, and then called it a day. Unfortunately, it looks like it's intentional, unless they intended to update the legs at some point but it slipped through someone's to-do list.

The picture was straight up female
The picture isn't the Survivor.

Now that is awesome.
I'm glad we're getting a proper hype campaign for this chapter. All these hints and details have been a lot of fun.
-
More people definitely comment on how I play post-game when I'm Claudette. It's not an overwhelming difference, but it is something I've noticed.

While I like how they are trying to connect the storylines of the new survivors, I'm kind of hoping they stray away from the pariahs storyline this time around
Me too. I'm not sure where they're trying to take the Pariahs, and maybe the buildup will be worth it in the end. But as of now, the backstories already feel very repetitive. An unrelated survivor would be a nice surprise.
-
Judging from BHVR's past taste in women alone, the answer is no.
-
I agree that the killer is probably some obsessed stan; perhaps murdered the star/idol and is now masquerading as them.
But who knows if the Survivor has anything to do with the rest of that though. Chances are the survivor will just be dumb rich orphan #3.
-
Interesting theory. You can call it farfetched, but this is still way more likely than the teaser genuinely being a picture of the Survivor.
-
I don't think that's a thing you can do, at least not from a single incomplete picture.
And the picture isn't even taken from in-game, so the model/rig used wouldn't have to match the actual killer or survivor to begin with.

Well, I have my own opinion, so I say that it's safe to assume it's the new survivor. That doesn't mean you have to think so.
That's not an opinion.
An opinion is about something for which there is no definitive right or wrong answer. Reasonable minds may differ.
Reasonable minds may differ as to whether the teaser is about a Survivor/Killer. You can certainly have the opinion that it's a survivor.
But there's only one answer as to whether it's "safe to assume" that it's a survivor. It isn't. And to say that it is, well that's just plain wrong.

First off, please don't call them leaks. The official DBD Twitter account has uploaded those two teasers, so it's not an unofficial source. Second, the 2nd teaser where you can see their hair and clothes IMO looks like a real human (it's most likely one of their employees cosplaying as the new survivor). So I think it's safe to assume that it's the new survivor and NOT killer.
It's your opinion, however, so you are free to think however you'd like.
The second teaser is definitely animated.
And it's certainly not safe to assume it's the survivor, or even the killer, given the fact that these teasers have never not been totally obscure. Misdirection is the name of the game.
-
No, not right; the new Survivor is still unconfirmed.
Besides, Elodie's voice was fine outside of the glitching... with that kind of bug, any voice would be torture.

I mean we got yui, zarina and cheryl in a row, im just a little irritated.
Yui/Zanina/Cheryl made sense though, even after them there was only an equal number of male and female survivors.
Also, the new Survivor could still be a male. We haven't seen the Survivor yet.

There's no way that's happening.
This survivor is intended to sell a lot.
And more people play survivor.
It'd be a failure to make her a killer.
There's no way it's NOT happening.
There is 0 evidence that the teasers have to do with the Survivor. Until we see that cosmetic in-game, this is a bait-and-switch.
As if a K-Pop inspired killer also wouldn't be a huge hit...
I swear, we're 19 chapters in and it's like this is everyone's first prechapter hype session.

@gemjas said:
It might be a teaser for the Survivor. Looks like they're a streamer or something, which is also probably why BHVR tweeted a picture of Feng in front of those monitors.
The thing is, when do they ever tease the Survivor? I don't believe we've even seen the Survivor in a teaser trailer since Kate.
I think it's a Korean, tech/hacking killer. A survivor streamer wouldn't be all that different from what we already have in Feng, but a killer based off that could feel like a change of pace.
-
You've played DBD for 4+ years and are only just now asking why people are toxic to TTVs? You've "never seen" TTV toxicity anywhere else?
What else does it take OP four years to notice?
Judging from some of the other responses, your problem isn't your TTV handle.
-
This thread has got to be a joke.

and DS is in there this week, so it gives some reason for joy and to play the game for survivors who didn't buy the DLC during one of the worst times to be a survivor in the entirety of DbDs history; the Shrine is 100% not random and they can tweak it and add what they want. Whomever actually believes they wouldn't do that is just being childish and has no clue how the real world works.
Anyone who thinks BHVR actually cares about the Shrine has no clue about BHVR.

I get not liking Pale Rose, but I honestly don't understand why so many people still hate Grim Pantry besides the current glitch with the generators. And the hilariously unbalanced situation where you can get two generators on the same harbor. The main structure on Grim Pantry might be my favorite loop spot now that Asylum is going away.
-
Weird to complain about this when that game's artwork looks even less like the original Cheryl than DBD's version.
-
Sometimes. I also saw Halloween 2018 alone. But pre-pandemic, I didn't go to the theatres much, and on the few occasions I did it was usually because others were going.
