My bad. They must farm hours right? There's no conceivable way that someone would waste so much of their life on a video game, right? Are they at least popular on Youtube?

They almost certainly farmed hours. I.e. They left the game on while doing other things to artificially inflate their hours.

I was just chilling and checking out some survivor profiles while in a lobby for killers(for hackers so I can lobby dodge).
I check this profile because survivor got the legacy prestige if it's below 300 Hours I dodge the lobby and behold! The Absolute Monster with 23 Hours in DBD, I insta lobby dodge because no way I'm gonna be Killer for this monster. Others in the lobby got like 4K hours too so I dodge a depip for me there.
And I thought I no-lifed this game. Holy #########. I genuinely feel sorry for that 23K hour guy.

I mean, it still does...
The whole reveal issue schtick isn't as common as people make it to be.
Literally every time that I face a Ghostface, there's something wrong with the reveal mechanic. No matter what I do, 9 times out of 10, the Ghostface player is just immune to being broken out. Either you're just lucky, or the Devs have a personal vendetta against me.

(BTW Starstruck S Tier, No Way Out B, Crowd Control A)
Which Killer is this list based off of? Because perks like Save the best for last are most definitely not all that great on a Killer like Blight but would be decent on a killer who can get normal M1s with their power.

Whatever happened to the killer a majority of the community labeled as the best stealth killer? He used to be one of the top 4 killers I'd see on average, but now he's as rare as seeing Twins or Clown. Is it his weird tier list placements that effect the opinions of players?
Love the surge of Blight players though. Glad to see more of him these days.
Personally, I'm glad. Hate Ghostface so damn much.

but Behaviour should really make a legendary skin worth more than a skin since we pay way more than a regular skin, still is the same killer but just act slightly differently animation wise and has a new animation for the mori with new voice actors, not like it's complicated to make someone laugh or grunt and breath.
Adding more things to legendary skins to make them more unique would be a fantastic change. However, that would require more effort and money spent on Behaviour's end. As such, they ain't doing that ######### I'm afraid.

It wouldn't be hard at all. One setting in the display options menu that switches the value of one line in the ini file. That's it. Unfortunately, small changes like this aren't something BHVR care about atm, and it's not something that brings in new players and money. Resident Evil brings in players, not FPS settings.
Bit of a shame but you're not wrong. It took them, like 4 years to introduce something as basic as colour blind settings right? Kind of saddens me that they clearly don't care very much about small QOL things. Especially since adding the ability to uncap fps would perhaps aid to bridge the gap between console and PC. Particularly if they also gave controls over the graphic settings on Console, like is currently available on PC.
-
Probably like rank 12-13 for Survivor. I may like to think I'm hot ######### but I always get downed super fast and make dumb decisions, lol.
I'm much better at Killer but I'm definitely nowhere near the best. Maybe somewhere around the 5-8 range?

Enough exposure to the game and all 'scary' elements of the game, stop being scary. I was afraid of Doctor and Hag when I started out. Now, I don't mind Doc and if anything, I just find Hag annoying. Sure, a surprise Hag trap can make me jump but I'm not afraid of the Hag, I was just startled by her suddenly appearing. It's like when a sibling suddenly jumps out from a corner and yells 'BOO'. You're not afraid of your sibling (Or at least, you shouldn't be) but you probably would be startled by them suddenly jumping out when you weren't expecting it.

Blight as I simply love the constant momentum and feeling of speed. It is very frustrating sometimes though because of his collision being all messed up currently. I've been robbed of SO many hits because I slid off something when I expected to bump. Nonetheless, I still love the ol' Pinball boy, warts and all.
-
I am VERY biased here but I really think the Devs need to iron out Ghostface's reveal mechanic because it is just blatantly broken in it's current state. I don't think I've EVER had a match playing against Ghostface or playing as him, where it felt like the reveal mechanic was working perfectly. Just the other day, I had a situation where Ghosty was out in the open (He wasn't even bothering to hide) stalking me and no matter what I did, the game didn't even BEGIN to break him out of stealth. He managed to mark me as a result of that but I can't remember if it actually resulted in a down or not. Either way, I don't think the player was hacking as there was no other suspicious activity in that match and I've also had many similar situations against other Ghostface players. I don't play Ghostface much myself as I don't enjoy his playstyle very much but back when I did, the reveal mechanic felt just as unfair. Sometimes I would get broken out of stealth even when behind cover and sometimes the game would just decide that I'm immune to being broken out of stealth. Perhaps it's not super high priority for a lot of people but it really frustrates me that Ghostface is essentially left in a blatantly broken state because he's not played often enough for it to be a problem.
If they were to address his broken reveal mechanic then they should give him an add-on pass while they're at it. He's far too reliant on his recovery add-ons and all of his other add-ons are much weaker in comparison. The recovery add-ons turn him from a C tier Killer to a solid B tier Killer in my opinion and therefore, they should make at least one of them base-kit.

I might do a killer perk tier list as well at some point.
Is this based on anything in particular? I.e. Is this list assuming that you're in a swf of at least 2 people? Is it a list aimed at solos?

What's with Blight's rush collision on some of the maps? On Coldwind, there's legit a part of the shack i can't collide with. Ormond is one of the worst maps for blight too. I started to rush and ended up getting momentarily stuck, which cost me that chase. It sucks because Blight is one of the best killers in my opinion and it's annoying when using his power costs me a chase or even the match.
I agree that it's incredibly stupid. It's genuinely ruining the character for me to be honest. I sincerely hope that the Devs address this soon but let's be honest here, they won't address it for months.
-
Ghostface by a mile. His power is literally completely broken. I've genuinely lost count of the amount of times that I stared into his soul and it didn't even begin to break him out. Even when I intentionally make sure that he takes up as much of the screen as possible, he still usually doesn't get broken out. Making as much space on the screen seemingly only helps a tiny bit. Only the other day, I faced yet another Ghostface and when he was just following me and stalking, I couldn't break him out. He wasn't even bothering to hide and yet, he was invulnerable to being broken out. Seriously, the only time I've ever broken a Ghostface out of stalk is when he messes up by going out into the open AND the game so graciously decides to work. Whenever I play as him, it feels just as inconsistent. Dedicated servers really messed with his stalking. He's awful to play due to dedicated servers, and Horrible to play against because his reveal is broken.

The last time I played in a swf was about 4 or 5 days ago.

While the older ones are a bit silly considering the sheer amount of blood that they're soaked in. I still prefer the older ones for the most part (Blight's prestige looks pretty great in my opinion but it definitely wouldn't hurt to squirt some more ketchup on that man).

As an alternate game mode? Sure! I'd love some more variety. As a change to the base game? Absolutely not. Stealth killers would become obsolete and the game would suffer overall I feel.

I don't think so.
Freddy's Dream Pallets are one of the two interesting things about his current power, but making them base kit would do nothing. It wouldn't fix any of his problems, and honestly it wouldn't make him a little bit annoying to go against (not to me, of course, but to other players).
But then again, pretty much nothing can fix his current power. The devs need to acknowledge that they have screwed up his rework and revert it. This is the right thing to do.
I'm sorry but I don't understand. Wasn't old Freddy almost unanimously regarded as being very weak? Otz seemed to see potential in him at the time but then again, the Devs could literally release a generic killer dude with a super weak power, and Otz would still find a way to somehow make an interesting build.

Playing against a doctor is so boring.
Let me just write a basic doctor game:
Doctor immediately finds your location from his ability, get into a chase and drop a pallet, doctor bloodlusts a pallet and spams ability. You then get hit and go to a T and L wall, doctor continues spamming his ability causing you not to be able to do anything. You go down and get hooked. You get unhooked and the killer happens to have Iridescent Queen, and Iridescent King just like every Doctor and your ears start bleeding from the annoying sounds. Then you have it happen the rest of the game.
Please change his ability it's actually annoying and so cheap for the killer to find your location every single time from his ability
If I'm not mistaken, Doc actually can't bloodlust if he shocks. That's why bad Docs who regularly mistime their shocks are so easy to face. Doctor is annoying sure but he is fairly balanced and nerfing him purely because he's annoying is kind of unfair.
-
We already have Trapper don't we? They fulfill the same kind of aesthetic. Besides, what would Jason's power even be? I don't really mind either way but I suppose I'd prefer for the Devs to simply go for other licenses at the moment. Especially considering the legal issues surrounding the character.
-
Unsure tbh, Trickster and Twins are an absolute nightmare balance wise. Licensed Killers usually don't have as much of an issue. Probably as a result of the fact that they are limited to the lore of that character. You can't have Michael Myers running around shooting lasers from his eyes, Y'know? They can't just do whatever. While I enjoy the uniqueness of original characters, they are also more susceptible to introducing... Balancing issues.
-
If they ever added a Bloodborne chapter then that would be a dream come true for me. It's my favourite game of all time. It's not perfect but I love it nonetheless. There's so many possibilities for Killers too, less so for Survivors but there are options. Perhaps they could use one of the people who you can send to the Oedon Chapel as a Survivor? Bloodborne will always hold a special place in my heart. I know that my wish to see a Bloodborne chapter will likely never be fulfilled but oh a Bloodborne chapter would be magnificent! I would be so, so happy.

Almost every person who played the game for some time would say that Hillbilly is one of the most (if not the one) fun killer to play against. Due to his kit one never truly feels that they got downed in bullshit way (unless it's bug). When good Billy predicts you well and curves around the structure at the perfect timing, you most likely feel "Hecc this was pretty good". Compare it with feeling you have when Slinger, Spirit, Nurse or Hag downs you.
Due to his "rework" - which was nerf to literally every aspect of him... barely anyone ever plays him. If you want instadown you go Letherface, if you want mobility you go Demo. His addons are miserable (except for browns and lopro chains) and his overall performance went down the drain.
When playing against newbies he is good (just like literally every killer), but on higher lever he falls off pretty quick. People complained about his charge time addons, which were strong, but all you had to do was just use windows to force m1. I also really dislike the attitude of develepors, who commented that Hillbilly is perfect example of balanced killer, who's chases result in better player winning them... then nerfing him to the ground a week later.
Overheat mechanic is not that harsh, but with lack of charge time addons using chainsaw couple of times in a row is impossible. I think it's good that it is in game, because Billy cannot just mindlessly camp and rev it for ever, but it should be even less harsh so player can actually try using chainsaw in a chase (Feathering especially). What I would like the most, honestly, are cooldown after hit addons making it's way back.
I think the biggest nerf the devs ever gave to Billy was adding Blight into the game. Seriously, Blight is objectively better in essentially every way. His mobility is more versatile then Billy's, Blight can use his mobility to easily negate any distance made on him in a chase whereas Billy can only do the same if he has a clear LOS with no obstacles in the way. Billy does have his insta down but it can be incredibly difficult to land on a good Survivor. Meanwhile, a good Blight can get a hit at some tiles even against insanely good survivors. Like Billy, Blight is powerless at certain tiles but that doesn't mean much when you can negate any distance made in mere seconds. So:
- Blight has better mobility
- Blight has an easier time getting downs
- Blight has an easier time negating hold W gamers
At the end of the day, why the hell would any sane person pick Billy over Blight? Even if Billy was reverted completely to how he was prior to his nerfs (Add-ons and all), Blight would still be better in all these categories.
-
I much prefer the current one. If there was an option to choose between the PTB version or the LIVE version in the game then that'd be pretty nice.

Both killers have very little counterplay. The difference is, Nurse is stupid buggy, at least requires a modicum of practice, and typically in the servers I play in I don't see them very often. Nurse needs changes, (I would prefer they fix her, first) but there is no way to balance Nurse other than completely changing her. She is designed to break the game, because it was a different game when she was introduced.
Spirit on the other hand, can win a match just as easily as Nurse with a fourth of the effort. Her power is designed to have no counterplay, other than guesswork. The Spirit has to do very little to get done with her power, and even less with her "mindgames." She literally doesn't give the survivors any kind of chance to counter. They just have to guess.
Just because one bullshit thing exists doesn't mean people can't complain about other bullshit things.
I think the OP's point is more that Nurse is very rarely complained about even though she is stronger then Spirit and has less counter play then Spirit. For example, if you drop a god pallet against a Spirit, then she has to break it. They could be the best Spirit player on planet earth but they can't ignore everything the Survivors have, just most of what they have. However, Nurse doesn't give a damn about some silly little 'god pallet'. Indeed, a good Nurse can essentially just ignore pallets entirely. Maybe I'm weird here but personally, I don't think that a Killer being able to negate literally EVERY defence the other side has is healthy for the game. Not only does it make for boring gameplay, but it also makes for very imbalanced gameplay. A bad Nurse is really fun to face but a good Nurse? Absolute snooze-fest. It doesn't and shouldn't matter that Nurse is rarely played. I agree with you though. If they leave her as is, then she'll continue to stomp on literally everyone because of her inherent lack of counter play, or they nerf her and she ends up being gutted. Nurse can never and will never be balanced in her current state and as such, she must be reworked entirely.
You're right, people are totally entitled to complain about Spirit, I do myself. However, from what I've seen, the anger is disproportionately focused on Spirit. Spirit is hated beyond measure yet whenever Nurse comes up, she is typically excused of her lack of counter play because she's 'hard to play'. Spirit is despised and Nurse is just given a free pass from this hate, even in spite of her obvious lack of counter play.

I mean, by definition it has been nerfed. They didn't remove a bug, they added stipulations to the perk and made it weaker i.e. it was nerfed. It's totally fine and dandy to say it was justified but c'mon, it was obviously a nerf. A good nerf, but still a nerf.

Or, and hear me out, learn the power as intended which still counters most loops if you do it right.
180s are seemingly intended now. Especially when you consider that controller can do them now. So if they are embraced by the devs then flicking would be intended. Although of course, it's entirely possible that Behaviour thought they'd fixed them, realized immediately after the patch that they hadn't, and simply decided to keep things vague. If they explicitly state that 180s still being possible is a mistake, then they come off as being grossly incompetent. After all, the only possible explanation for that would be that they either didn't bother to test the change AT ALL or they only tested it very briefly and then pushed it live. Either way, it makes them look stupid and lazy so they're not going to outright admit that they messed up. They're probably currently trying to decide if they can even remove them. If not, then they'll just embrace them and pretend that was always the plan, lol.

Running the most popular information perk in the game and saying it’s for BP is like saying you read playboy for the articles. ######### off liars. ######### is OP.
WGLF is ran less then BBQ because it's harder to build up tokens on WGLF. Unless you throw the game, it's entirely down to luck whether you can get 4 tokens or not. No offense but the only people who genuinely argue that BBQ is OP are people who have very little experience in this game.

Tbf, facing a semi decent twins player is an awful experience, especially if they camp with Victor. Play how you want though, it's ultimately not your responsibility to ensure that the other side has fun. The developers are the ones who made the Twins so they're at fault.

Not sure what you can pick up from that. But I have blight videos. Basically...Learn when to rush or when to just be a 4.6 killer...Since you're console the turning keys won't apply to you..I think the BIGGEST piece of advice I can give you that's important. Is when you bounce..Take a second to look around to line up your next trajectory then rush..Don't insta rush right after you bounce unless you already have your trajectory..Also be prepared to lose on Ormond because you can't bounce off of #########.
Ormond isn't terrible as long as you remember that all of the benches and piles of snow on the map can't be bumped into. Knowing what you can and can't bump into helps make the map much more manageable. It's definitely very annoying though.

If you can tell a Survivor is extremely good at looping from your first chase, just leave and ignore them the rest of the game. Works wonders because they start to tilt and play worse.
Very demoralizing being the best player on the team and watching your teammates go down quickly while you're ignored. Puts them in their place. It's a 1v4. You don't have to be better than all four. Just one or two weak links is good enough for a win. Wreck the team and the individuals lose by default.
You're advice mainly applies to solo que it seems. As others have pointed out, a strong swf who has no weak link(s) just ruins this advice. Furthermore, what about lucky break? As Scott pointed out in his one of his most recent videos, a swf can make use of lucky break + Iron will, to essentially negate the possibility of there being a weak link at the beginning of the game. The beginning of a match is of course, critical for the Killer, as too much time wasted at the start means a comeback is unlikely. As such, the 1 or 2 weak links can use this Lucky break + Iron will combo to sometimes escape the killer. Meanwhile, the stronger players (I.e. the ones who you suggest should be ignored) can take aggro. The weak links will make it difficult to commit to them at the start thanks to Lucky break + Iron will, meaning that you will sometimes have to commit to the stronger loopers or you'd lose. Of course, if you're on a map with lots of LOS then Lucky break isn't nearly as powerful. Nonetheless, a decent swf with a few lucky breaks can make it difficult to commit to the weak link(s), thereby forcing you to chase the stronger loopers which wastes time. This strategy is especially potent on a map with many LOS blockers e.g. Hawkins, Lerys etc. To be fair, your advice is decent if you're facing solo que and Lucky break + iron will isn't always going to allow the weak links to get away either. Your advice definitely isn't bad necessarily, although it may be inconsistent in it's usefulness.

Buffs? What buffs? Are you talking about how he's now almost playable on console? No, because he still has counterplay, like any and every killer should.
Blight can still 180 by pairing successive 90 degree flicks i.e. Flicking your camera 90 degress whilst rushing and then flicking them another 90 whilst lunging. There's other methods I hear but that's probably the simplest one to perform. When they say buffs, I think they might mean that it's actually MORE difficult to counter a 180 Blight flick as the lunge goes wide now. As such, it's more likely to land. At least, that's the word on the street. Haven't actually tested it myself. I'm not nearly good enough at Blight to 180 consistently, lol.
