No shame to be had my man.
How is Gideon for Blight usually ? I've only seen like 2 Blights ever (not frequent in low mmr), never played him. I can see a lot of rebound potential but on the other hand it does seem like it could be hard to actually charge at someone.
I played it with blight, it was pretty rough downstairs. Upstairs not so bad

I hate the game map...like it's just pallets that map is so unsafe if there were just less pallets but because it is known as pallet city it's a super safe map!
I mean seriously you can predrop until endgame and still have more!
No kidding! The first chase lasted 3.5 gens worth of pallets alone. I was running blight was I was able to just rush through them, but jessuussss

But still you won there are worser maps than the game for killers. Once you get rid of pallets you will start to get easy downs.
Yes I know lol. I’m just ranting about the AMOUNT of pallets in close prox to each other.

The other day I had the tome challenge "Break 25 pallets / walls / generators".
I completed it in one single game on that map.
(I actually quite like the map, but it did make me chuckle)
I don’t doubt it!! I was just trying to relax and practice some blight flicks but didn’t get to do so until going through literally every pallet on the map. 😂 it’s actually absurd. So many of them are safe pallets too.

its not being tunneled, or teammates leaving on hook. its these freaking insecure killers that check every profile before the game starts and when they see someone with under 100 hours they tunnel the hell out of them and then the rest of the team gets screwed at 4 gens, and please dont be one of those copy and paste killer mains who are like "but they have base-kit bt!" explain how the hell 3 seconds of endurance is supposed to stop hard tunneling
They can only see other steam player’s play time. I play DBD off the Xbox app so I can’t check, nor can mine be checked.

Just kidding I love complaining. But for real, survivor soloq is terrible and killer queues take forever. Do I wait a minute for a 3 minute match as survivor or do I wait 15 minutes as killer to actually get to play a game? On a lighter note I think Wesker is very fun, I find his power to be a mix of Demo and Blight mobility which makes being chased quite fun.
I’m a killer main, my queues have been instant, so I’m not sure what’s up on your end. The longest I get is maybe 2-3 minutes during mid day. At night they’re instant.

Shinobu is right, there is a built in lock on blights attacks. You could use 400 dpi you would just need to use an entire MTG mat to do a 180.
That’s what I’m saying, most people don’t have the space to do a 180 flick on 400dpi, which is what I like to play on for everything. The dpi clutch simply makes it easier to obtain the maximum flick with much less movement, while not messing with your play style.
-
@ShinobuSK said:
You dont need high dpi for blight at all
You can say that, but the difference doesn’t lie. The amount of distance I turn with the DPI clutch is absurdly more than without it. I have landed so many more hits.

Hilarious and funny. And somewhat false. Stupidly high dpi isn't needed by any means. The same way that controller(distinction between console blight) isn't that hard to use.
I do just fine with 60 % in game, and 1200 dpi. Nothing insanely crazy. Same way people saying controller blight is terrible. Controller blight is comparable to a mouse. I think the bigger issue is the fps and performance
I’ve always been a low DPI player, because of my time on warzone. (I play full arm.)
I was playing with a 600 DPI, but with the dpi clutch, I have a HUGE difference in the flicks, primarily in how sharp I can turn now.

@Breadn said:
Picture this;
-You hit an insane curve as Hillbilly.
-You hit a sharp flick as Blight around a tight loop.
-You throw a perfect hatchet as Huntress.
-You perfectly guess the survivor's pathing as Hag.
In all of these situations, your mechanical and/or decision making skill is invalidated by the survivor pressing a button. No longer do you just get a cooldown, the survivor also gets a speed boost.
If you're playing Billy, it's like you're always running speed limiter. If you're playing Huntress, you're almost guaranteed to have to hit them three times. If you're playing Blight, you can't do anything flashy and have to waste more bumps to get a hit. As Hag, you can no longer rely on instantly hitting survivors after teleporting.
This isn't healthy for the game. It isn't healthy for a player's skill to be invalidated by "good timing" on a survivor's part.
I've used DH as survivor aswell, and every time I use it against a killer like this, I don't feel like I outplayed them. I feel like I got carried by a poorly designed mechanic that rewards sloppy play.
As a killer main, and respectfully, just leave it alone. The new dead hard is completely fine. It’s not broken, annoying at times yes, but not broken. It is even easier to wait it out once you learn they have it.

I’m typically the looper on the team, I can usually last 2-3 gens on average depending on map RNG. Keep that in mind, that survivor might want a heal so he can go back in and keep the killer off you so you can do your precious gen undisturbed.

What's so hard about putting people of equal skill together?

thats a weird way to say "some killers are bad but i don't accept that and only believe survs can be bad at the game." fact of the matter is that the nerf went to far. next patch dev's will make it so all killers can 1shot down survs because gods fordbid you have to work for a kill and be able to tunnel and camp someone out of the game at 5 gennies.
Maybe you’re bad, if the nerf went to far for you. There are plenty of survivors doing just fine. 😴

In the second video she bemoans the fact she can’t eat, drink, engage with chat and just generally “chill” anymore when playing survivor.
There is no issue with wanting to chill when playing a game. There is an issue when someone wants to be able to chill and still win.
Exactly, and it’s still possible. I watch Skermz every night and he interacts with chat just fine in between chases and what not. She’s just an entitled survivor.
-
I think it’s funny. I don’t mind a lobby full of clicky boys. They are honestly some of the easier teams to beat, simply because flashlights are so easy to counter, and they never do gens because they follow me trying to get saves.

My guy. I can list PLENTY of situations other then hook swarming and end game.
There's a 3 gen I want to keep ?
Maybe the survivor got greedy for a flashie save. Instead of running away. Now I have 2 hooks within 10 meters. I don't care how unfun you find the situation.
You as the survivor caused that situation and should be punished for it. Not get off Scott free. Not from teleporting hooks. Not from paused timers. Not from any half assed suggestion that's been thrown out. I can go on with the situations and when it makes sense. But your notion of "only hook swarming and end game !!" Are completely wrong imo
Agreed. These are all situations I will prox a hook. Last night had a game where I hooked literally right next to a 95% gen. I proxed until that gen lost a good chunk, and secured a second stage before I left. Ended up winning me the game. Sorry not sorry. 😅

Long queus. What were once less then a minute queu times would now be 3+.
At an almost 70% win rate of 3 kills or more, killer life was easy before the path.
Now it's a joke. The games are no challenge whatsoever.
Prepatch, mercy was a common and normal thing.
HOWEVER
The devs have admitted that they use "statistical analysis, social media, and in house testing."
This is how they rationalized, justified, and concluded with the recent changes.
Variables like:
-percentage of survivors who are not killed or sacrificed. Thus, farming, giving hatch, allowing escapes, or being any type of nice actually skews the statistics. It actually hurts the game to give people a chance. Okay. Time to play for real.
-streams, and videos as the prime example of what is actually happening in the world. Because if some youtuber is posting videos of bullying the killer, then that HAS to be what happens everwhere! Screw the casuals. They don't deserve to play. We'll use unicorn squads where everyone is comms and change the game based on a worst case scenario for the killer.
-developers who play that game, and playing what is essentially a company wide killer your friends is a solid reflection of what happens when it's the internet and people are anonymous.
Thanks for changing the game to being about playing a killer and just rolling everyone. Survivor mains are playing more and more killer because survivor life is AWFUL.
And as a killer main. The guilt is real!
Pictures below are 4k games with 3 different killers. Dc's happened just before a survivor died. I.e. not early game.
Never face camped to secure the kill. Never went out of my way to tunnel a survivor. Never ran noed, or thano.
Prepatch. 7 out of 10 games, I'd get 3 or more kills.
Postpatch. It's literally a joke. 9 out of 10 games, I'd get 3 or more kills if that. The only time the game was ever any type of challenge was when I'd run into a unicorn squad of all red rank players. 1 game out of 10. ONE. It would be 2 kills or less.
I'm a killer main. Others may blame the survivor. Others may say it would be different if this, that or something. But this is real world. Not theoretical.
Thanks for longer queu times for a boring game.

Welcome to a world of Dbd where you HAVE to be pro to even stand a chance against a killer.
I have no less then 40 dbd twitch streamers that I follow. EVERY SINGLE ONE has played less dbd since the patch. Way to kill the game, devs.

You were probably fine with just nerfing Dead Hard. You knee jerked into a killer buff while nerfing several survivor perks to the ground. Decisive strike was annoying before but part of the fun was guessing if they actually have it. Not that it mattered. 5 seconds wasn't enough to save them. You could still chase after them and finish them anyway. Now. Even if they run it. 3 seconds is basically enough to shake my head and down them anyway.
Survivors HAVE to play meta perks (because experimentation, trying things out, well, that's for people who WANT to die). They HAVE to be in comms (it doesn't even matter that much if they are. But hey, in this environment anything that improves the chances of escaping). And players need to be pro to even stand a chance (I have seen streamers, and played with, and against players with MULTIPLE thousands of hours, and.
They. ALL. Get ROLLED!
Okay. For that kind of skill level and playtime. They will have some good games. But gone are the days of a group of 4 friends stringing together a streak of 4 outs.
Thanks for nothing.
I mean, the survivors in your screenshot are quite obviously terrible. The builds show they are inexperienced, and their lack of BP show they didn’t do gens, and more importantly couldn’t loop. Legion is an easy killer to loop. Your issue is you aren’t playing against skilled survivors, which makes me question your numbers. I highly doubt you are winning 9/10 games 3k+. Winning that much does not bring out survivors like that. From my experience, I win a couple games, then I face a couple very hard teams that I MIGHT 3k, and I might 2k, sometimes I don’t get any of them. The game is more balanced than it has been in awhile. And the killer base kit buff was absolutely necessary, because 80% of the killers were completely laughable.
BTW, the chick in the video just wants a survivors sided game so they can bully killers again.

I could watch the videos, but I don't really think that it'll be worth it.
There's no way, Spirit can be considered an S tier, even with her best add-ons. No way.
In his YouTube videos yes, because that’s the theme of the videos, is different meta killer builds. But on stream he uses all kinds of builds, as well as perkless addonless challenges, and still dominates.
What would you say STOPS her from being s tier? 🤔

Also Oni has my second favorite collection of cosmetics after Blight, especially love the Minotaur and Demon's End skins.

I don’t find him terrifying at all. I base a lot of my enjoyment of facing killers around what chases are like with them. Bubba as an example, can Insta down also and is actually much more fun during a chase. Because you actually feel like there is some counter. Your choices are much more limited with Oni due to his speed, and also many Onis that choose to slug excessively has made him one of my least favorite.
If Bubbas weren’t so stubborn in wanting to camp all the time, I’d say he is the most killer to go against.
How is there no counter?? Windows.. long walls…
Oni’s demon strike is the easiest attack in the game to spin. You can’t spin a bubba, and bubba can hold a loop just as tight as you can. Oni can’t use his speed in most tiles.

Sure Spirit still has good mindgames the stand still mindgame still works somehow and some of her addons can be interesting to try and play around such as the one that teleports you back to her phase decoy.
However, the rest of her kit with the directional phase I can't see it as S tier even when I play against good Spirit's I think she's an A tier killer.
Spirit is most definitely an S-tier killer in the hands of somebody who really knows how to play her. Go watch D3ad play’s videos on spirit. There’s literally no escape.

You must be mediocre at Oni then if you think he's a super weak killer without this bug he was already viable.
This bug just helps him get his power faster but you dont need it to do well if you're decent at Oni.
You're playing public matches not tournament games there is always gonna be that one weak link in a survivor team that get easily mindgamed/gives you your first early hit at 5 gens and makes the 3 others good survivors lose the game,MMR is hardly working and inconsistent.
Even in comp tournaments Oni is great he was a 4k machine in Swish's tournament against top tier survivors btw.
So I am sure you'll do well against SoloQ teams.
I don't want Oni killswitched because he's also my main but this bug needs to be fixed ASAP no idea why it's still hasn't been fixed it's not a game breaking bug so BHVR must think it's okay we need money from the AOT skins we'll work on it after.
I consider myself pretty versed with oni. I don’t mean he’d be a super weak killer, just being dramatic lol. I play oni addonless and do fine with the normal blood orb amount, but I keep seeing that the amount of BO drop should always be 2 every couple of seconds and 2 when vaulting, and I believe that would cripple oni pretty hard. But as is I think he’s the most fun he’s been. Been facing some pretty skilled survivors and it’s been a blast.

@Laluzi said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3119033#Comment_3119033
The burst of blood orbs when a survivor does a rushed action is intentional, but the amount dropped is currently over twice as much as he released with, and it wasn't an announced change, so the assumption is that it's a bug.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3119142#Comment_3119142
Fair enough, but in this case I don't think the bonus orbs are a good fix, because it just magnifies Oni's status as a wrecking ball once he gets going without making it any easier for him to make headway against a good team that stalls him out.
On indoor maps, it's kind of 50/50 for me? Hawkins was great for Oni and Midwich is king, but Lery's and RPD drive me up a wall if I have to play him on them. But I'm only a casual Oni player and if you've got significant time on him, you've probably picked up some tricks to cope.
I will agree, some teams tend to fall apart once I get my power, and they don’t know how to deal with it. I had in a break in play so I never got to play Hawkins. Lery’s can be annoying, but honestly the key is mindgaming the windows and spirit fury REALLY helps with getting downs straight after being stunned. Rpd doesn’t bother too much, I just don’t dash unless I catch them in hallways or I need to travel cross map. It’s better to just use demon strikes.
-
@DoritoHead said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3119129#Comment_3119129
You’re right, it is the best way to counter Oni in the early game. But the survivors should eventually take a hit and Oni should get his power in a reasonable amount of time. With maps like Cowshed, Eyrie, Garden of Joy and in some cases Suffocation Pit, that simply is not the case. And as I said, this is also a problem for a lot of other killers.
I understand you, I just don’t usually have an issue with getting my power early. On average the survivors will make a mistake and I’ll get hits. My build also helps, infectious, monitor, spirit fury, enduring. They don’t get as early a warning that I’m coming, and then predropping pallets only charges my spirit fury early on for me, and eliminates many pallet for me to get slugging value out of infectious while in power.

Sadly, this is probably the reason. It's a pretty major bug and it's gotten a lot of attention lately; I can't think of another reason they'd want to leave it in its current state.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3118999#Comment_3118999
I'd assume they're talking about how effective predropping is against Oni. Indoor maps aren't exactly his friend either.
I agree, but that’s what makes oni a balanced killer. There are ways to prevent him from getting power early, in my experience as an oni main, not many survivors pre drop for whatever reason. I don’t really struggle with indoor maps. In a way it’s more dangerous for survivors as they can’t spin much in hallways and small rooms.
I didn’t think the amount of blood orbs was bugged, I think it’s been perfect how it is. But that’s just me.

@DoritoHead said:

On many maps, strong tiles or strong pallets are interconnected with each other. This means that if survivors W-key and predrop pallets, it can be extremely difficult to catch them without blood fury (this is a problem that applies to almost every other killer as well). If maps weren’t designed in this way, then Oni wouldn’t take so long to get his power. Making survivors drop more blood orbs per action would be more or a band-aid fix.
Survivors should predrop and w-key as that is the best way to counter oni early on. More blood orbs when performing actions just makes sense. It’s always been that way.
