Maybe if they gave casual ranked players a speed boost and sweaty ranked players a speed nerf. I think this might make things better for everyone overall.
A speed boost / speed nerf? You can’t be serious. 😂 the game is balanced fine. If you don’t think so, you probably just suck. I play killer, and so just fine. I get lots of 3/4 k’s. I also lose some matches to some decent survivors. I play solo q, and I escape probably 70% of my matches, and I die to some good killers. The game is fine.
-
I played basement bubba for about 10 matches today after reaching irid 1. It’s my little treat for grinding to the rank. 😂 get to relax for a bit.

Yeah, as soon as I know it's Oni I don't hesitate fleeing upon seeing or hearing his terror radius. Can't say the same for other solo q survivors, as you'll probably enjoy 😉
See you’re the smart survivors I ignore. 😂 But you would be surprised how many people just hand out the free hits waiting for the last second to start running away. Then they don’t heal and I have my power all game. It’s too funny. When I’m SWFing with the boys, as soon as oni goes into power, we all hit the lockers! Lolol

Thanks for your response.
How long do blood orbs remain in the environment once dropped?
I had a match where it had been around 5 minutes since anyone had been injured & the Oni was constantly using his power to demon dash around the map during that time.
Once dropped, they are there for the whole match until oni uses them. Oni gets about half his power from the hit that injures a survivor. I typically hit and run, and let survivors bleed all over the map as it leaves little power banks for me. The key to countering oni is avoid injury at all cost at start. Predrop pallets. Heal. And when he pops his power, it’s best to just hide.
-
I try not to camp or tunnel, I never facecamp. But I play based off the survivors. If they start banging out gens, I’m gonna tunnel somebody out, because simply if 1 isn’t dead before 3 gens pop, you probably aren’t gonna win. If I hook somebody and there’s survivors running proximity to that hook, and I know they aren’t on gens, I’m going to stay in the area and either force the stage 2 or get a trade. Sometimes we gotta do it to gain the upper hand.
-
@Johnny_XMan said:
Who is claiming that you shouldn't?
The conversation/discussion has nothing to do with you Camper/Tunneler players. We KNOW you will do it even if the devs gave you an extra 50 seconds per gen to catch someone. The feedback is for the devs to pay attention and look at how busted the playstyle actually is.
Don't worry, nobody actually cares if you do or don't have fun camping/tunneling. Go ahead and keep doing it until your hearts content. We'll keep giving our feedback.
umm bud, it’s 50 seconds total. Not per gen lol
-
Oni main here.
his power is activated by blood orbs dropped by injured survivors.
his power has a timer that drains slowly while not using abilities, drains a little faster while demon dashing, and drops a bit more when he downs a survivor.
oni will lose his power either once the power bar is empty, or he picks a survivor up (power bar stops there)
oni must continue to pick up blood orbs to rebuild power bar. Oni cannot be stunned out of his power.
hopefully this answers your questions!
-
You know you have a different mmr pet killer rigjt lol? Your nurse won’t face good survivors because your huntress mmr is high.

No, it's bugged. It's just not a very impactful bug
When did this bug start??
-
@ThiccBudhha said:
Apparently he is getting twice the blood which is insane as it still feels awful unless you find where an injured survivor was chilling.
That’s what I’m saying. 😂 there is no way it’s bugged. If he didn’t get as much as he does now, he would be a basic m1 killer.
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
Survivors drop too many blood orbs when vaulting iirc. Instead of 2 you get like 6 or something. The addons that increase the amount of blood orbs when vaulting also don’t work which kinda proves it’s bugged.
Survivors are supposed to drop more when they do actions. It’s literally in oni’s tips.
-
As killer, prolly red forest. But many of the maps are tough if they get good spawns for survivors.

If survivors learned to jump in a locker as a survivor get picked up they can get off Gen as the survivor gets picked up
That’s what I’m saying. It’s not hard to counter. Survivors just don’t pay attention.
-
Can’t you just get off gen right before hook, then jump back on? Lol. It’s not broken.

Mine are Clown (he's not free on pc), Artist, Blight, and maybe bubba now that bbq isn't required for leveling.
Blight I'm just bad at, but I genuinely don't understand how clown and artist are so underpowered. Especially artist considering she's fairly new. Maybe I just don't understand how to play her but her power seems completely useless.
i bought every killer in pursuit of every perk for every killer. But I’m in the same boat. I don’t play blight because I’m garbage with him. I find artist, clown, legion, and plague boring. I only really play bubba to play basement builds after reaching irid 1 lol.
-
I’ve had a LOT of good survivor solo q games this week.
-
I’ve been seeing in the high mmr games, I’m having an increased number of survivors playing complete stealth/gen rush builds. Is a complete nightmare to play against, especially as an oni main who relies on quick injures off rip.

Fair. I don't play Oni. I'd suggest doing a quick google search on it, cause I know for sure that it's bugged, I just can't recall exactly how.
I tried that first, but the only bugs that popped up were old bugs and some current bug that occurs when you pick somebody up as they dc that causes a funny animation with his weapon. Nothing found that gives him an edge in game.

I think that's the bug. It's probably only supposed to drop 1 p/s, or something along those lines.
There’s no way, it’s always been 2. If it was one, oni would never get his power.. lol. But I appreciate the response!
-
@crystalkitti said:
He's dropping waaaay too many blood orbs, iirc.
I didn’t notice a change? Survivors are dropping 2 every couple seconds and a handful when they vault and stuff.
-
I was wondering why the last clown I faced was un-loopable.

@MaudetteClorel said:
Don't get me wrong, legion has been neglected for a very long time by the devs and deserved the buff they got a couple months ago. Since the patch dropped I almost exclusively face legion legion legion a plague here and there or a huntress (THANK GOD).
But I'm so sick and tired of facing legion every single match with the same exact build like JESUS CHRIST I DCed last match because it was the third legion in a row.
I understand people threatening to leave DBD because their fav perks got killed or because sitting on a gen for 90 seconds is just boring, but I completely lost interest in DBD since I already know what killer it's gonna be while still being in the lobby.
Did people forget there are other killers with unique and interesting abilities? What makes you pick legion over and over again? Or maybe it's just my personal MMR invaded with legion mains only?
Is anyone else facing the same killer over and over again?
P.S.: the legion invasion hasn't even been that bad when legion and ghostface got buffed, but now it's a literal plague.
I haven’t played legion once since update. Hell he’s only like lvl 20 for me cause I find him so boring to play. I don’t see how anybody could find his play fun. He’s even more boring to play against. I’ll stick to playing oni and spirit. 🥹

In my opinion basekit Nurse should remain, but I believe that she some synergies too insane and her add-ons are too nutty. So I believe her blink attacks should be counted as special attacks, it makes no sense she has instant down potential considering her kit when Blight doesn’t, and considering Nurses don’t need to worry about DeadHard anymore it shouldn’t be a difficult change. And finally her add-ons need to changed, she already has the most base kit potential, why does she also need three blinks, omega blink, and instant recharge?, she just doesn’t, so she needs add-on nerfs like bad. So in my opinion this can be a way to nerf Nurse without totally gutting her and still keeping her top tier.
ok, then increase nurse base speed to 4.2. She is reliant on good blinks to even land hits, as she is the only killer that survivor’s are faster than. If the blinks didn’t count as basic m1, she would never get them.

SB - Sprint Burst
DH - Dead Hard
I've been seeing a lot of survivors running Sprint Burst and immediately preventing the first hit of a chase by making it to a pallet and looping it, how is this not seen as being the same as dead harding to a different pallet to not get hit? Either way both perks do exactly the same thing but at different stages of the chase, is Sprint Burst likely to see a change when people realise they aren't too dissimilar?
You can still delete this. Lol

You can thank bhvr for having facilitated the tunnel, ds was easily counterable > by practicing the no tunnel you just had to know how to play, except that 99% of killers do not know how to play and we never learned to play well, they are preferred to cry forum than learn to play.
And bhvr listens to this kind of player (noob) to balance their games?
You sound like the same entitled survivor main that DC’s every time the “noob” killer puts you down. 99% of killers don’t know how to play? Lmao ever since DH took the dirt nap, maybe 5% of survivors I’ve faced actually knew how to properly loop. The rest of y’all were boosted into high mmr by a crutch perk, and it’s REAALLLY showing right now. Loving these 15 second chases. ;)

I'm just going name every issue i can think of off the top of my head that was added with this update or not fixed
Camping/Tunneling 5sec BT not enough
10+ min killer que for mid to high MMR
DS,DH, iron will and selfcare are worthless now
bloodwebs nerfed you can never get rare add ons now if you need/want them
Solo que survivor is unplayable
Disconnects run rampant
Cheating/Hackers everywhere
Killer was overbuffed thanatophobia did not need a buff
Bad map layouts
No nerfs for nurse, blight, and spirit
if you can think of anymore let me know and i will add them
Please play killer, play nurse, spirit, and blight, and decide whether they still need a nerf. If you haven’t learned them, guarantee you won’t get a single kill. I’m guessing you haven’t played them because you making an ignorant statement like that. Playing those killers takes time and practice.
-
Here’s a solution… here me out… don’t give the killer a 3 gen… so many survivors just jump gen to closest gen. You create a 3 gen this way. Skip over gens, go to the over side of the map, etc. A 3 gen can be influenced by the killer, but ultimately decided by the survivors.

@Coder said:
I rarely post on these forums and I know it will sound like a survivor main bait, but it's not. I'm DESTROYING people at 4 gens with plague, wraith, myers, bubba... it's ridiculous. Plague get the best part since I'm running corrupt, pain resonance and thana (I know, disgusting). Sure, if I get some 4 man comp SWF they COULD win, but solos? there's virtually nothing they can do. And even if I'm losing I just go to "tunnel mode" and win anyway.
Also, if only a 4 man comp SWF on Discord can win against a Plague, the balance of your game is broken.
And as solo Q player, I just don't care anymore, I just try to farm as much bloodpoints as I can, finish my challenge and die/leave, but if the killer is half decent and has regression it's a long battle uphill.
The game "as is" is not right, I'm not saying it should be reverted, but now killers have a decent chance against SWFs, but maybe buff solo Q?
Take off those perks then?

We're telling you solo queue is in a bad spot and you're responding with "Well actually as a killer here's all the reasons it's not."
Do you not realise how biased this is?
Ok but is he wrong? Nearly every game I’ve played, killer or survivor, some crybaby survivor main DC’s because he can’t last 20 seconds in chase without precious deadhard. Then the game is over. The games where the survivors DIDNT DC, it was a good match.

It is the problem of bad survivors that they are not able to understand when this technology will be applied. Hug tech only works when the survivor isn't expecting it or doesn't understand what's going on. Of course, through this technology it is convenient to bypass walls and block the path of the survivor, but this does not work everywhere.
You don’t seem to know what you’re talking about. Good survivors don’t counter hug tech. Hug tech can literally be applied to even the strongest loops like shack. And still, you have not answered my question. How will it make blight harder?? Answer the question.
-
@Mavericks said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3088172#Comment_3088172
Firstly, good survivors understand when the blight will use this technology, and secondly, the Blight will think less and apply the usual logic of bumps
umm.. what? You didn’t answer the question? Tell me how, when an exploit that allows the blight to skirt around a loop at superspeed gets removed.. will make him harder for survivors to play against. That makes no sense.
-
@Mavericks said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3088152#Comment_3088152
Blight will become easier without hug techn, players are deeply deluded that he will become easier to play against
Please explain how blight will be more lethal to survivors without hug tech.
-
@FriendlyKiller said:
You're actually speaking ONLY with the survivor perspective in mind. Please play some killer.
Exactly. So many people only have a one sided story. I wish they’d take the time to go see how difficult these killers are. I’d love to see them even give a single down with nurse first go round lol. If you can’t play her well, you will get bullied. I had plenty of no kill games when I first played nurse.
-
Nurse - hold W and break line of sight. Mind game. Not too many people are great with nurse, and her blinks are often a guessing game. (Yes, playing against a really good nurse is difficult I know.)
Blight - pretty sure the devs already said they are fixing the hug tech, which will make him much harder to use.
-

Not true. I didn't use dead hard and solo q is still garbage. You people need to stop being obsessed with dead hard.
You can say that all you want. But the fact comes from the gameplay. Even at high MMR, my chases have gone to sometimes lasting over a minute because I had to chase them down AGAIN after they used DH, to lasting 25 seconds at the most. I haven’t changed anything about the way I play / chase. I have ran into a couple survivors who were still good and gave me a good run, but it’s much more rare post patch.

im using the new dead hard fine- i do miss the old style, but that's not the main issue.
Maybe not for you, but for majority it is. My killer games have consisted of 10-15 second chases because many of these survivors just can’t loop for their life without DH. They don’t understand they have to predrop and hold w. And before you call me biased, I’m a 40/60 survivor killer, and my chases have gotten much harder without old DH. I get it, but we just have to adjust for now and see what changes are made. I’m sure they will release hot fixes.

.... not even assed about DH
90% of survivors issues is stemming from their dependence on DH to win chases while their buddies do gens. Too many crybaby survivor mains are too lazy to adapt to the new meta because their true skill level without a broken perk is showing. “wErE gOnNa QuiT”
-
I’ve been playing nothing but spirit and oni since patch release. Mostly stridor spirit tho <3
-
If you can’t survive without deadhard just say that.
-
You know why y’all are getting 4k’d by bad killers? Because you’re bad survivors who can’t win chases without dead hard and that’s a FACT. Y’all got way too comfortable having dh as a crutch, and now you can’t survive without it. Prove me wrong.
