"Lack of hardware? If you don't have a mic, you can still listen to your team's callouts."

Then you can't balance around it. What if the entire team had no mics?

And I keep saying this and I keep getting ignored by everyone when I do so whatever but this is also completely platform dependent too, because Nintendo would never ever ever ever allow third-party comms, or comms in general. And people do play the switch version. And they're going to be left out of further disadvantage because they can't do this or listen, so I could never be balanced around having comms if stuff like this was added.

Well, what happens if the entire team in valorant as an example has no mics? EXACTLY. Nothing happens, the game continues just fine because you know why? Riot actually cares enough about its playerbase to implement a ping system that works just fine for those who don't have a mic/don't use a mic or opt out of using VC entirely.

Not to mention that even the mobile version of DBD has a ping system whereas the main game is still stuck in the 90s.

No, voice chat wouldn’t fix the problem, as many people wouldn’t be able to use it (language barrier, lack of hardware, people just not wanting to speak with randoms, toxicity which is already complained about would go up rapidly, background noises, etc pp). Now, if they really wanted to add voice chat, that’s fine, though it should never ever be used to balance this game otherwise it will be completely unplayable for soloq.

Valorant, Overwatch, Phasmo... a lot of other games, you name it, that have voice chat and none of the factors that you mentioned really are that much of a problem and the majority of people still use it.

Language barrier? Again, other games handle that pretty well and the majority of the servers people are playing on share the same level of basic English.

Not wanting to speak with randoms? Turn VC off and play the game like you did before.

Toxicity? Very much present in any other game.

Lack of hardware? If you don't have a mic, you can still listen to your team's callouts.

You can opt out of it, but at least you would have the choice, as in any other games with VC.

It's all about OPTIONS and whether or not you make use out of it depends solely on your decision.

  • There we go again. Adding voice chat would fix the problem since the devs would actually be able to balance the perks/game mechanics properly.

I've had ONE good usage of CoH so far (played around 20 matches after the patch dropped), other than that my teammates just don't give a damn about healing someone who's been standing inside the boon waiting.

  • All the Feng cosmetics that they sold already have paid for everything that BHVR needs to fix its game.

  • Altruistic healing shouldn't be taking that long IMO. If it takes 2 or 3 survivors to heal, that means they are not doing gens and giving the killer more time.

Medkits needed to be nerfed, I agree.

But at this point they should've just removed perks like boon COH or self-care because they are completely USELESS and go back to the old "meta" that existed before the whole Boon apocalypse.

  • If they added voice comms, they would actually be able to bridge the gap between solo Q and SWF. Which (SWF) seems to be the problem and main reason why so many perks and game mechanics had to be changed/tweaked because they’ve been abused by SWFs whereas the same perks or game mechanics have been completely situational or not useful in solo Q at all. It’s much harder to run a sabo/breakout build in solo for example compared to a coordinated SWF.

Adding voice comms would also allow the devs to balance the game better since there’s no more power gap dynamic between solo q survivor and SWF.

  • The main questions is.. Why is the weakest role in the game still being kicked while already on the ground for YEARS?

If this patch goes live, my solo Q teammates won't even bother healing or rescuing. Everyone will be running sole survivor+wake up and not give a damn about their teammates. And every survivor knows what killers they will encounter immediately after the patch drops - Weskers with sloppy butcher, coulrophobia, unnerving presence with a Midwich offering to make healing completely impossible and useless.

Slower healing being also a shadow buff to killers like spirit, oni, legion.. Just take your time to remember what it used to be like to go against a "forever legion" with thana.

Still waiting for a voice chat to be added to dead by daylight so the devs would actually be able to balance the game towards SWF vs. killer, since SWFs seem to be the main reason as to why so many perks/items/mechanics are being changed in the game (because they've been abused by coordinated SWFs in the past, just like flashlights).

It's hyperbole but this does make sense. When i started playing dbd in august I was mashing players with very high play time.

Just today, I mangled a david with 125 days play time, when I have 20 days. Like they were competent but not that hard to catch. Time doesn't always equal skill but playing surv is an extremely difficult role to do well in.

It baffles me every time. And I’m not even mad at the killer. I’m mad at my teammates who have 600+ hours and still manage to play like rank 20s. Had to rage quit out of a game because there were still 4 gens remaining after 5 minutes. When I got hooked for the first time I realized why. Felix was crouching on the second floor and did jack #########. Claudettes were playing edge lords. And the only gen that got done was done by me before the killer found me. I hate to say it but some survivors are BOOSTED. Either by their swf or by playing like rats. And whenever I see a killer get a 4K even tho he is not that good at counter looping or mindgames,I wanna quit this game. I have almost 3k hours and get outplayed by killers who have 100-200,all because of my teammates not doing #########. You can be the best looper on planet earth but at some point you’re gonna run out of resources aka pallets and if the gens aren’t done by then, you’re gonna lose inevitably.

What I've seen them do with matching making historically is throw you against newb/expert killers/survivors to break 'streaks' if you're winning to much or too few. Especially if your 3k hours in.

That would make sense, but I'm not on any win streak. I lose approx. 70% of my games since I play solo Q 99% of the time I even play...

And the best part is - when you've already unlocked the skin via rift, you got NOTHING when trying to redeem your prime code :> well, not exactly nothing. You got an error message

  • I've mentioned it a couple times on this forum that maybe VC would be a good solution to make solo q bearable.

But now that I've played some time after the purged perks patch, I've come to the conclusion that even VC won't fix bad teammates. Would it be an improvement for solo q in general? yes, definitely. But would VC fix the teammates who refuse to unhook or do nothing for the team? no.

This deep rooted issue goes back to MMR. I'm gonna be preaching this all day and all night if necessary. Players who play to win should not be put into a lobby with players who play for looting chests/hiding in lockers all game/ leaving their teammates go 2nd stage on hook, playing for hatch only escapes etc.

The killer is nowhere nearby and I see an Elodie crouching next to me,I'm hooked for the 2nd time. I die because she keeps crouching, probably scared that the killer MIGHT come back even though he is chasing Bill.

Killer hooks me, goes after Cheryl who happened to be nearby. A Meg runs up to me so I think I'm saved. Instead of unhooking me she puts me into reassurance and runs away, even though the killer is still chasing Cheryl.

Endgame. I'm looping the killer so my teammates have time to open the gate and heal so when I go down they can unhook me and with basekit BT I can make it to the exit. When on hook I notice them open the door and teabag at the gate instead of unhooking me, which is very easy considering all of them are alive/healthy and the killer went to check on the exit gates anyways....

  • Everyone and their mom is tired of Wesker. I've had so many teammates DC or suicide on first hook right after they heard this terror radius that's giving me nausea after facing wesker in 49 out of 50 games.

And now I DC or suicide on hook too because I ain't playing 3v1-s every single match.

  • Urban evasion and self care paired with spine chill and sprint burst and a good amount of being allergic to gens = my solo Q teammates.

  • People just being selfish with a mindset that goes something like "I NEED TO BE SAFE I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE OTHERS".

Had a Haddie cleansing totems all match from the beginning and continued breaking totems after it was obvious the killer had pentimento. We let her die on hook and she DCed :3

infinite healing, infinite breakables, no scratch marks, the speed boost that i barely see and imagine an SWF

3 survivors with them and they have em in different places, yea good luck playing the game and oh yea a prove thyself on the top of it

the only way i managed to keep em in check is because i had a massive terror on doc, if not for him it was an insta ggs

It seems to me you're more complaining about SWF abusing certain builds rather the boon perks itself.

IMAGINE a SWF bringing petrified oaks and sending you to midwich or RPD with boil over/UB/flip-flop/power struggle/tenacity/breakout?

    IMAGINE a SWF bringing 4 BNPs/prove thyself/built to last/streetwise?

IMAGINE a SWF bringing flashlights/head on/vigil/DS and abusing double lockers on Ormond/ red forest/ dead dawg saloon??

Unbelievable, right? Definitely never happened wink wink.

While all of the builds above can be abused by SWFs, they're useless in solo q because you have zero communication. And if you want the perks/boons to be balanced around SWF only, DEAD BY DAYLIGHT can pretty much change it's name to DEAD BY SWF. Solo survivor is without a doubt the weakest role in this game and boons can help at least a little bit since they can give my teammates information on where I am and/or where they can heal me/themselves.

CoH is the only strong tool solo survivors have left now after the patch. Boon Exponential is pretty much useless in most scenarios. I boon a totem. Then I have to make sure the killer doesn't know about it. Then I have to make sure I go down in the boon's range. Then I have to make sure the killer doesn't pick me up immediately and that's where my "evil plan" fails because none of my solo teammates are rushing to me from the other end of the map to distract the killer so I can unbreakable and run away. Boon dark theory... what even is this? Last time I saw it being used was after sadako rising DLC released. And only by Yoichis who were going for the adept. Boon shadow step? Pretty balanced perk. Especially because YOU KNOW it's shadow step when you see a survivor leaving no scratch marks and many killers don't even rely on scratch marks that much but require line of sight instead. The way you talk about boons makes it seem like they're ALWAYS available and survivors ALWAYS get use out of them while that's certainly not the case. All of this has to be set up. Just like scratched mirror Myers who will most likely bring a Lery's or Midwich or RPD offering. Some builds only work in SWF, some killers perform a lot better on certain maps. It is what it is.

P.S.: While you on the topic of boons being extremely broken on small maps, I'd really be interested in hearing your opinion about starstruck nurse on Midwich

  • @Taxman232 said:

As a solo survivor, this game is no longer balanced or fun. I understand needing to rebalance killer to tackle toxic SWF, but this has been done at the expense of the solo q experience.

    Game 1

Artist with Plaything, Dead Man Switch (DMS), Pain Res and Pentimento

First two survivors were tunnelled and camped out of the game before the second gen popped. Third survivor was slugged and DCd after not being picked up, just as I was downed. Killer then stood over me waiting for me to bleed out.

    Game 2

Huntress with DMS, Pain Res, Surge and Thana

First two survivors camped and tunneled out of the game (even with DS, BT and OTR - unbroken tunnel vision). Third survivor slugged, I am downed with 2 gens being done. Rubbing salt in the wound being sent to RPD.

    Game 3

Deathslinger with DMS, Pain Res, Starstruck and Thana

First survivor face camped in the basement, next two proxy camped. Actually managed 4 gens this game as Badham hook layout favourable but last survivor killed before finding hatch.

    Game 4

Nurse with recovery add ons DMS, Pain Res, BBQ and Furtive

You can probably guess how this went, nurse recovers from blink and hit as the haste speed burst wears off - downed in 20seconds. 4 slugs left to bleed out.

If you've stuck with me this far I have some other observations. I rarely see a killer bring an end game perk because they know they just dont need it now. Camping and Tunnelling are worse than before the rework and solo survivors feel incredibly weak.

Personally I would like to see Devs focus on rebalancing and fixing DBD rather than promoting their gimmicky dating sim.

This has been addressed in a thread before, that what the devs intended and what is being played now are two completely different things.

The survivor meta definitely has shifted since iron will is literal garbage now, DS does nothing against high mobility killers and gen times with buffed regression perks like jolt or overcharge literally take ages to finish.

But as far as killer meta - I still see the same freaking slowdowns stacked on top of each other. Except for nurses, most of them bring aura readings with lethal pursuer so there's no need for them to bring slowdowns since the game will be over at 5 gens remaining and 4 slugs on the ground anyways.

  • MMR is nothing more than a lottery. One game you can get the most efficient survivors who split up on gens, take turns in chases, bodyblock etc. The next game you have someone running no mither and suiciding on first hook. It's all random and the way I see DBD being in the future is only SWF vs. Killer concept.

Voice Chat in game could potentially change something if you're lucky and don't get douchebags as teammates, but taken into account how toxic the dbd community is, it probably won't even make it past PTB.

Some people play to win and try to improve their skill in game aka macro plays, learning the tiles so they get better at looping... And some people play for fun while not even trying, this being the moment they're ruining the fun of those who play to win... vicious cycle.

And MMR was supposed to differentiate between these two types of people so you'd be getting like-minded teammates. But clearly this system failed and didn't live up to everyone's expectations and that's where we're at rn. People being burnt out from "potato" teammates (myself included), people DCing, rage quitting, BMing and/or trying to make the experience for everyone around them as miserable as possible.

It's up to the devs to change something about the matchmaking system.

  • @Wewantjason said:

I have to admit even as a killer main, I am watching survivors not do gens and also not take chase and also letting people die on hook while im across the map.

Every game is either seal team six, or one good player paired with 3 potatoes

I'm considering just killing the potatoes and giving the good person hatch from now on.

I've been so tilted at the game lately and venting my anger in an unhealthy way towards my fellow players, and feel kind of guilty to be honest.

Lets all try to be positive influences in our community again people until this dust settles.

I get where you’re coming from. I always keep an eye on survivors who are being lazy or stealthy all game when playing killer because I know how annoying it is for the other teammates when they know they got an imposter on their team.

everyone was complaining about the update and the killer buffs but for me solo q was and still is the reason why I feel frustrated with the game sometimes.

the killer buffs would be so minor if every survivor on the team would just do gens and help out others, you wouldn’t even notice the millisecond faster pallet breaks or faster recovery after hit.

But instead of fixing solo q and matchmaking the devs keep changing/tweaking perks back and forth while completely neglecting the real reason why so many survivors said they’re done with dbd.

  • @6659Leg said:

Or you can run OTR and completely negate tunneling with 80s of invulnerability/endurance.

    Kinship/Kindred for camping

And overcome if need be to really get the hell outta dodge.

Idk,might just be me tbh when I see all these perks available that make tunneling and camping a huge pain to do.

The whole point of the recent update was to allow both sides to use a variety of perks and not feel forced to bring certain perks JUST to have a somewhat normal game. In my experience hardcore camping happens in low tier mmr more often due to the killer being inexperienced so they think the only way to interact with other survivors is to wait for someone to come to the rescue.

in high mmr tho camping and tunneling are used more ‚wisely‘ if you want to call it that,to maybe secure a kill or control a certain area.

then there are people who enjoy the end game salt in chat and who do it on purpose even if it means they’re gonna throw the game for some basement bubba shenanigans.

once you figure out which one of the above you’re facing,it makes it a bit easier to play around it.

  • @jesterkind said:

Did people really run that perk often before, though?

I can only speak anecdotally, but in both my killer and survivor games pre-patch it only very rarely made an appearance- nowhere near as often as BBQ did. If survivors aren't saving their teammates from the hook now, I don't think WGLF is really affecting that decision either way.

(Though I am of course in favour of more BP gains, I just don't think you should feel forced to run one specific perk for BP gains)

I usually ran WGLF in every single one of my builds. Now it’s pretty much useless unless you run into a slugging killer

  • @Robotfangirl67 said:

Hello everyone, I wanted to make another post about this patch again. But anyway I’m seeing a ton of people saying there’s a lot of survivors that are disconnecting from matches more often then they should. Well to put it lightly in the best way I can explain but I haven’t see any disconnecting from any survivors I faced at all. I’m sorry if this may sound like a rant but if this post does I apologize for sounding very frustrated again.

All I’m trying to say is that yes solo que is bad but it’s always been kind of bad anyway or least from my experience from playing survivor. But my point is that in my killer matches I still get hard core squads that still bust out gens. I even say I’m seeing more again hard cord Swfs squads and it’s getting kind of annoying. But hey those are part of the game like I have said before and so have many others.

So even after all that, they still escape. I even watch some of the different many streamer’s videos on YouTube and whatnot. In each of their videos they even gave out tips to help survivors for this new patch since again the streamer’s still escape from their matches as well. So in short if the streamer’s, swf, and other good solo survivors can all still again escape even without deadhard, borrow, ds, ect.

I also know that camping and tunneling is again a problem but again in order to win as killer you have to tunnel and camp and I get that. I will also say that again camping and tunneling is not fun but both are necessary tools to help you as killer. I also know that facing that as survivor is equally annoying.

Basically all I’m saying is that again if all of those streamers and other survivors can escape then so can many other solo-que players. They can get better, they need to practice more and they will be fine. I know I again contradicted my words before but hey that’s just what I have to say on this matter again. I’m just really confused on these problems.

Many people opted out of playing solo survivor because it’s a miserable experience. So it’s only natural that you encounter more SWF squads

  • Post-patch thougts:

Killers deserved the buff. Especially M1 killers with no power to help them control the map.

Solo Q needs more attention and tools to even be half as good as SWF is rn.

DS 5 seconds nerf was unasked for, since now it deactivates in end game and that's what killers usually complained about - free escapes through the exit after using DS.

DH is fine now, requires more skill to time it right so no more "boosted" /carried by DH survivors.

Nurse needs a rework/limit to her power.

Camping still has no real counter and the "just do gens" argument doesn't work anymore with 50 seconds on top of overall gen repair time. Make it more with thana. Make it even more with dead-lock.

  • @WesCravenFan said:

This would just create insane amounts of lobby dodging.

I would feel nothing but sadness for the player trying to get the No Mither challenge completed but every coward in every lobby nopes out.

Tbf, I don't care about someone's challenges as long as they don't impact my gameplay in a negative way. I also do tome challenges, but I'm not running around cleansing totems while my team is struggling because I don't wanna be a burden and ruin the experience for 3/4 other people.

And if I have some spare time during endgame,I'll cleanse some totems. But some challenges are so crazy stupid that you have to throw a game for 3/4 other people just because you want to be selfish. For some people it's okay, for me it is not since I am a teamplayer myself and would put my team first. And I want to have teammates with a similar mindset.

I am convinced that even the no mither player will find a lobby. And as someone has stated before, if the perk is so bad and has a big potential to be dodged by other players, it's to blame on the perk.

  • @Johnny_XMan said:

Or you could end up with people who still will just give up on hook because they do not like your load out.

The benefits of showing the survivor's perks and items outweigh the risks. This is a feature the game should have had from the start considering that a big chunk of what happens in the match relies on teamwork. Something that would be much better coordinated if people knew what they were running.

They could additionally add a feature that punishes them, by giving them a temporary penalty if the party dodges too often.

Also OP @MaudetteClorel what is up with that name, I LOVE Lmao 🤣

That's what I was thinking. Playing in solo Q it's almost impossible to go for certain builds. Like sabo plays or power-struggle or inner healing or whatever. If I see someone running flip-flop, UB,power struggle, tenacity, I'll do my best to distract the killer so the person can recover and/or crawl to a pallet.

Or when I see someone run inner healing I won't cleanse totems if it's not necessary.

P.S. Thank you, I made it myself :3

  • Adding VC to the game would allow the devs to actually balance the game around SWF vs. killer since solos with VC would be almost the same thing.

    i think it’s worth trying.

It already exists in other games,so why not dbd ?

  • @Volcz said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/338209/being-able-to-see-teammates-perks-in-lobby

I see upsides and downsides to it. Ofc the upsides overwhelm the negatives. But I know if I ever saw someone loaded up w/ No Mither, I'd just straight up dodge. Which would be unfair to the person running it, because maybe they're going for adept or who knows.

I know people would judge others and lobby switch depending on what people brought. Kind of why the survivor/killer ranks have been hidden. People started using that as a metric.

Even now some people dodge lobbies when they see basic cosmetics and assume they're paired with new players. Or killers dodging because they see a survivor with 12k hours. Or when they see a bully squad with 4 flashlights.

Maybe the fact that your teammates could see your perks before the match would reduce the trolling at least by a little bit.

Or maybe the devs wanna actually think about survivor challenges that don't require griefing your whole team. :>

It's the Chris Redfields for me. I don't see them often but when I do I'm always disappointed

Literally just had a game with one of these. Couldn't agree more. He ran self-care and got 8k points for the whole match. Idk what he must've been doing since I was doing the looping and gens and he couldn't even save our teammates.

Guess you also earn points when hiding in lockers now.

  • Dbd is desperately in need for a tutorial on how not to be that one solo teammate everyone is ranting about on the forum.

I'd probably be better off with some garbage bins as teammates instead of some Leons catching crows at the exit while the others are trying to cleanse NOED, an Ace self-caring under sloppy butcher while I'm going second stage and the killer is chasing someone else.. A Meg slowly making her way to the basement chest, god forbid she wastes her sprint burst..And so many more occasions where I'd just wanna DC and uninstall.

  • @supersonic853 said:

I know when the nerfs were announced some people came to old dead hards defense citing "Ill just run the loop one less time and not greed". Or something like that. But it seems now without that safety net a lot of survivors get caught out very easily. And with the other basekit changes and stuff like brutal strength being more effective (for me personally) i get downs so much quicker. And also people cited "well everyones gonna play sprint burst instead afterwords so nothing will change". But its actually nice to see smash hit, overcome, balanced and lithe fairly frequently. Dead hard held the king spot of exhaustion making it pretty much THE exhaustion pick. So now that the dust has settled how much of a choke hold did old DH have? And in general chase did it have a much bigger impact than you thought?

Tbh at first I thought DH was D E A D. Especially since after the PTB they nerfed it AGAIN. But I was wrong. It certainly isn't as easy to use as before, but if you time it right you're basically unstoppable.

I even thought I'd have to build my perks around sprint burst (and I usually use it with vigil only or sometimes fixated, so I have to waste 2-3 perk slots purely to get some value out of SB). But I played a couple of games with DH and I think it's pretty decent still.

So for me personally nothing has really changed. You could use it for distance to get to a window or pallet before the patch, you can now time it right, get hit and still make it to another loop.

No, what they should do is lock the mode for people who are experienced at the game and put them into competitive games instead of having experienced players boost casual players' MMR for them so they can jeopardize every game it's sad every time I get in a game I run the killers and we stuck on 1 gen because no one wants;'s to do it because they either trolling or working with the killer in order to help him/her out the previous game I got out of we got down to the last freaking gen and every time I was getting chase the Dwight was trying his hardest to body block me so what they did was slow down on gens to so he can get a chance to get me and my friend out of the game next thing you know the game went from smooth to a rocky game the killer end up getting a 4k because the solo q people stay acting clueless

Solo q has always been miserable. I constantly get teammates who don’t know how to hold M1 on a gen. Which means I’m looping the killer, wasting resources aka pallets and when I finally go down after 2 minutes only ONE gen pops (and that’s if I’m lucky and one of my teammates was actually doing gens!). At this point I really consider killing myself on hook because there’s no point to continue playing when you have potatoes as teammates.

I don’t know if they’re trolling on purpose or they’re just really new players who are scared of the killer so they crouch all the time and avoid being seen.

I had teammates die on first hook despite them running kindred, teammates looting basement chest when the whole team is on the ground, teammates who are just running around the map doing NOTHING.

so I understand those who only play SWF, but solo q shouldn’t be neglected like that and I feel like since the patch it’s only gotten worse.

The only way I see of reviving solo q is reworking how the mmr system works. It doesn’t matter if I’m able to loop the killer for 5 gens if these gens aren’t being worked on.

i can kind of understand this, but this isn't something happening exclusively to forever plagues/legions. i main deathslinger and run mostly niche builds and still get hook suicides in nearly every game. i even get them as sadako lol.

I don't know why that happens with other killers. Went against a deathslinger today - first down DCs, so the other 3 survivors don't even stand a chance.

If that's what the devs meant by "increasing the kill rates" they sure did succeed.

Right I just get sick and tired of being on the team with players who are beginner level or intermediate level and when and what tick me off the most is I run killers for hours and hours and gens are not getting pop everyone walking around and then when I'm out the game then they want to start popping gens

That's to blame on the (apparently) working MMR system. Taken into account how god damn long killer queue times have been since the update, I really consider the possibility of MMR being off or the mmr brackets being so wide it doesn't even make sense.

Every second/third game I get players with 50 hours in my lobby. I doubt this should happen since I have over 2k hours.

i'm waiting in 5-10 minute killer queues just for matches to get cut short because someone decided they didn't want to play against a certain killer or something. games where the survivors almost immediately get crippled because of a bad teammate aren't fun, especially when they feel like the only kind of games you're getting.

To be fair I don't want a single game to last 40+ minutes against a forever legion or plague, so if the devs don't come up with a solution for that, there will inevitably be DCs or hook suicides.

As all of us can see - tunneling and camping is a lot more popular and rewarding since last patch. Killers lost main incentive not to camp (BBQ bonus) and did not get anything in return. As a killer main (I played less than 5% of my game time as survivor) I really feel like camping is more rewarding for killer now and as BBQ is gone, I have no reason not to do so (sorry but I'm being completely honest. I know it's a bit annoying for survivors so maybe we can introduce some kind of bonus for camped survivors so it's not that badly annoying for them - 25bp in each category (sums to 100bp) for each second killer is within 15 meter to hooked survivor.

I feel like it would make survivors less annoyed when hooked and camped.

Not everyone is playing for BP. Sorry to disappoint you, but your suggestion is BS.

Even if the camped survivor is being nice to his team and doesn't immediately give up or suicide on hook, the remaining 3 survivors won't have time to finish the gens before the first one dies. That paired with other slowdowns (dead-lock, pain res, thana etc.) and the camping killer will almost always secure a 3k.

Yeah, the contrast between Otz and Dowsey stressing while Ayrun and JRM are doing spins and dumb techs is part of what I think makes it work so well. I'm not really into competitive DBD as pure sweat games aren't really fun for me to watch or play, but it's nice that although they're going to need to sweat you also have it mixed in with the funnier moments.

I enjoy watching JRM and Ayrun memeing around while Dowsey being so dead serious

  • I'm in Europe and survivor queues used to be like minimum 5 minutes during "rush hour" in the evening and especially on weekends. Now I have INSTANT survivor queues no matter the time of day and/or whether it's weekend or not.

I wanted to try and play killer but after I couldn't find a match after 7 minutes of waiting I just called it a day.

I may be tired of playing some killers, but it mainly stems from the terrible maps than the killers themselves. So I'm not necessarily tired of playing Legion.

As for facing them. It's nice to see people play the main, I just hope it's because the like the killer and not because they jumped on the band wagon after the buffs.

That's the issue. They jumped on the bandwagon because everyone and their mom were telling them that legion is the easiest killer to pick up. Kind of a low risk high reward situation if you ask me.

If you're going against new players - just give all of them a deep wound and there you go. 24 seconds not spent on gens in total and since new players tend to be scared of the terror radius, gens won't even be touched.

If you're going against experienced players - just use the unbeatable add-on combo (aka never sleep pills and mural sketch so you DGAF about how large the map is) paired with 4 slowdowns and you're guaranteed a 4k with 5 gens still remaining.

So, for those unaware we're getting a stream on August 3rd at 13:30 EST (translate that to your own time) from BHVR where they'll be revealing details of Resident Evil: Project W, among other things.

Would people be interested in a summary? If so, the entire stream or just the DBD bits? If there's no audience for it obviously I don't want to use up an evening for it but if people are interested I'll gladly share it here

I'd be more interested in some legion nerfs because the amout of teammate-DCs I get in solo Q against legion specifically is higher than Snoop Dogg.

Killers tunnel and camp more in my games. Teammates have become more selfish. I see so many Blights, Nurses, thana legion/plague

Like unless I'm SWFING I'll stick to killer lol

I agree that SWF seems like the easy option rn. But I used to enjoy solo Q and I hope one day my teammates won't DC or give up at any minor inconvenience :/

Yea but that's not really something that can be fixed, bad survivors are just that.

Or just change how the MMR works so it will put me in lobbies where my teammates - just like me - actually DO GENS ^^

  • Does solo Q need buffs and/or more communication methods? - YES.

Will it force your solo teammates to do better and/or do gens and stop them from urban evading around the map? - NO.

"Honestly I thought it kinda slayed"

    "Well you would, David."

"Have y'all seen pyramid head's bubble bum? I feel like he's been working out a lot recently ;) "

"If you would actually do gens instead of staring at his bum we wouldn't be here,Meg..."

"Oh my god and then he tried to kiss me-"

"Oh my god no way what the hell"

"I know right, can you believe Tapp would even be like that?"

"Never would've guessed it in a million years Laurie"

All the while Nemesis stands idly by, watching.

"Have you seen what Yun-Jin was wearing the other day??"

"Riiiight that was awful, what even are these colors honey?!"

  • Just give all the other survivors a speed buff of let's say 100% on gens when the killer is standing next to the hooked survivor. 200% if he's doing it with insidious.

Let's see how fun and enjoyable camping will get for killers if the killer queue is longer than the actual game and every game is a 1k at max.

The match lasting a minute longer is going too far, huh?

Tell me that again after I’m done versing the 5th legion in a row with 30-40 minute games each.

  • Haven't met a killer yet who didn't run thana paired with either jolt, DMS or pop.

  • @tamsmi said:

do yall ever think that if a brand new killer is getting 4k's on survivors that have upwards of 1k, 2k and 3k hours they might be buffed a little too much? maybe the answer isnt that the 3k hour player doesnt know how to play? like come on. be serious

since the patch dropped I keep losing to 300-400hours killers and I’m a 2.2k hours survivor main.
