  • It should be gone but unfortunately that patch was more or less an alpha. They're still testing it and such, same with the mori system.

  • Survivor: Bill, just because I have a personal childhood attachment to left 4 dead.

Killer: Legion, there power and playstyle is very appealing to me. Especially when you add in all the crazy ######### their addons let em do.

    god please no

God yes please,I just loved inflicting such torment on survivors by using it. I never will kill any of em,I just want them to keep mending and mending, followed by more mending.

  • The true forever legion, infinite mending by using both blade addons(at the time) and watching the mend time MULTIPLY instead of adding.

The same reason that literally every other online game does it, it ruins the game for everyone else. Let's count them shall we?

    • Overwatch
    • DotA 2
    • League of Legends
    • Counterstrike
    • Rainbow Six
    • Street Fighter (actually show your DC percent to people so they can just not play with you)
    • Quake Champions
    • FIFA
    • Valorant
    • Call of Duty
    • NBA 2k
    • Madden
    • World of Tanks

    I could probably keep going?

Been on OW2,DC'ing is RAMPANT over here as well. Both in unranked and ranked gameplay, all it takes is one side getting their teeth kicked in for one person to leave, then others do the same. Unfortunately it also dumps another poor dude into that situation, dunno if they get protection for being put in a loss tho. Regardless, the penalties need to stack up as well for anything effective to happen and an account ban in OW2 is much more severe than DBD.

  • Simply put, since Hexes are not reliable or strong for most killers,we use scourge hooks that are much more reliable despite RNG spawns and get our desired effect on hook.

The obvious counter is to run sabotage but the survivor standard meta build is incredibly selfish so only in SWFs are you really gonna see it. Trust me,scourge hooks are incredibly useful only because their counterpart(hexes) are incredibly useless save for a few exceptions that only a few killers can make use of.

I have to admit, a little dissatisfied with the video shot of the Blighted Oni. Looks like the base skin with glowy glows randomly splotched on there.

The mask looks cool. Worth considering. But was hoping for a wild reimagining of Oni being blighted. Ala Nurse, Hillbilly, Wraith, Spirit, Hag.

This is in the vein of Trapper. New mask. Basically the same body with a few mods. Even the weapon seems to be the same katana.

What were your thoughts and reactions to the release trailer?

Weskers is moreso a huge reference to his final boss fight in RE5. Mainly how one of his arms turned monstrous and while he didn't undergo a HUGE mutation,it was still obvious. So I'm pleased with it overall

  • I don't remember having to give you the game because one of your teammates had a temper tantrum, you sort that out with them.

As it is,this game and community GLORIFY leaving games because they run into X killer this,X playstyle that, etc.

  • That's a you thing,I don't get those issues vs her. Check your system,could be a SNAFU

Lmao absolutely terrible. If you can not see the problem with camping and tunneling, then that's on you. Games are supposed to be fun. This is not about dictating how others should play the game, it's about making the game more fun.

So the game becomes more fun by dictating or restricting how one side can play while the other has more ways to play without restrictions? I aint a camper,I tunnel but I don't camp. Although that's because the game pretty much becomes easier when you get rid of 1 of the FOUR other players. You know, because 4 people against 1 isn't balanced unless 1 side can take the numbers down into a more manageable level.

This is a video game, us supposed to be entertaining. If you play fifa and players are just standing there doing nothing you are not going to like it. I'm not being entitled about anything, and your comment is just toxic and unnecessary

Your post is just annoying and unnecessary but you still posted it :)

If it helps, maybe loop better so you DONT end up in that situation? Idk,typically people who complain about it just aren't that great at the game. Then again, anything is considered camping even if there's 2 other bozos within 8 meters of the hook lol

  • ahem

OP: I didn't like how the killer played the game they paid for and thus,I have a free ticket to complain and act entitled about it.

Buff other killers and nerf wesker should be solution then.

Or buff killers up to weskers power (which is beyond hard since every killers power operates differently and survivors cried hard about seeing legion when he got buffed)

  • Well until other killers are up to par, you'll be seeing wesker for a good while since he's the next best thing if you don't Want to roll with nurse or blight.

I saw why myself,he's fun and punishes survivors for ignoring him among other things to go on.

As a small aside, I just tried this and ( 1 ) I'm 2 for 2 on getting the Game when trying unconventional stealth builds, and (2) worked great with a 3k + hatch. Combined with Tinkerer, Discordance, Deadlock, and the Etched Ruler (Feral Slash inflicts Oblivious for 60 seconds).

Edit: Did some checking and it looks like Susie's offsets Undetectable but does not offset Oblivious. So you don't actually want to use Obliviousness in this build.

I knew that part for a while, its funny enough that stealth legion sometimes works even better than normal legion builds/addons lol

But yeah,Oblivious with legion is literally just an outright shot to the foot because you literally cannot offset it no matter what,at least undetectable with Susie's is a thing.

  • I do legion with dark devotion.

Dark devotion is incredibly strong with Susie's and mischief list. Susie's basically overrides the undetectable status messing with the killer instinct. You'll instead have a 20m Killer instinct range and you won't be detected and the survivor won't even know you're coming.

Another brilliant post from you. You're one of the reason of what's wrong with DBD playerbase.

And if you wanted points so badly, an average survivor game will give you double of what you can get as a killer at the moment.

So...IM what's wrong with the game and not all the cheaters in it? Alright, let's put this in perspective. 4 minutes (could be less if I find the last survivor fast) vs being held hostage for HOURS by cheaters. Mhm,I'm the problem.

Anyway, keep crying on the ground,I gotta find the other surv

  • Can I make survivors crying a reportable offense?

  • Terminus needs no way out or Blood warden to work. Otherwise you're just banking on the survivors being injured beforehand and them not having resetted prior to the last gen. It's actually very complementary with a lategame build but I digress

  • I need the points for one,two I don't remember there being a waver or rule against it. All in all? Cry more

There's certainly a lot to work with here. Lots of different options and some cool ideas to explore. 👍

I chose to do more basic things, reality is that predator has MANY things that can make him great for dbd. These are just some of the most balanced and yet very strong things I can come up with

I had wanted to mess with the idea of a voice/sound system for an iri or purple addon that replaces thermal vision and gives you a side bar,the more wild the sound waves, the closer you are.

Just some stuff too,I did play alien vs predator a lot and watched all the films. I honestly want him in just so we can break barriers and pave ways for more creative and strong killers.

  • I had an idea, albeit either incredibly OP or incredibly clunky/redundant.

Predator - TR|32m|MS|4.6|Can get weapons laid out throughout the map and has 2 innate attributes.

Passive: Thermal vision- if he hasn't gotten into a chase 15s,his thermal Vision activates and let's him see pools of blood brightly and instead of scratch marks,he sees actual footsteps left behind for 7s,the footsteps will be colorized depending on how fresh they are (Blue means theyre old, orange means theyre fresh) (Wall hacks were not a thing until predators 2010 for them)

Secondary passive: Cloaking system,The predator has an energy meter that he has to manage. This meter let's him use certain weapons and is tied to his cloaking. If it runs out completely,he will need to find a charge station that takes 5s to recharge but survivors can sabotage them to take 15s(This is an AVP 2010 refernce). Additionally, his cloaking isn't as strong as wraiths, his TR will be concealed until he's within 12 meters [can be tampered with using M&A etc]

[Additionally, cloaking drains energy by 2.5% per second]

    Weapons~

    Main weapon - Wrist blades

Smart disc - Can bounce off walls with a trajectory line available to see where it'd bounce off, takes off 1 health state but if you miss it,it's gone for 20-35s. If hit,it returns right back on a 12s cooldown.

Plasma caster - Auto Targetting projectiles that removes a health state but cannot target the same survivor for 9s. Additionally the survivors are alerted when they're targeted by the signature 3 dotted laser. Drains energy by 30-50% per shot. Is discarded once energy is used up.

Net trap - The predator can set a trap that when activated, springs a net over a survivors. This severely limits their mobility while ensared, inflicts deep wound if not assisted out of. (In the film this was featured,it would be a instakill and no one can help you. Here,if you were assisted, you'd get off Scott free)

    Some interesting interactions:

Flashlights: if the predator is blinded, his plasma casters targeting system is no longer reliable until the next one he gets. By this,I mean accuracy is reduced by 35% and the laser sights are gone.

Camping foresight: Net traps are not allowed within 10 meters of a hook,If the predator is too close to the hooked survivor, his plasma caster is locked as well until unhook or the other survivor has been too close for 20s already. Cloaking doesn't activate if within 24 meters of a hooked survivor.

Blast mine: You can blast mine trap recharge areas for the predator, although this is just if you're looking to have some harmless fun.

I think its more about how easy he is to win with, his massive TR which makes TR perks like starstruck super strong, and his ability to move across the map fast. Let's be real here. If he were conceived to be a weak/middling killer no one would be playing him this much. Pinhead, Pyramid Head, Onyro were all brand new killers at one time from popular franchises and did not appear in 1 out of 2 games. (FYI not calling him OP just that once you learn his power killers are dominating most matches due to people not knowing the best way to dodge and counter him yet.)

Can't really rope wesker with that lot. Onryo has nothing going for her and is literally just a crippled mix of wraith and Freddy, not even her fans play her. Pinhead is strong,he's just a pain to play consistently well with. Pyramid head is much more the same as Pinhead,he can be strong but is just a huge pain to play. Wesker isn't as frustrating to play (at least compared to the aforementioned) and has a simple but effective power that isn't a gimmick but a legit lethal power. Plus I still see legion and plagues, who are considered low end killers,so obviously it's more about what someone finds fun for themselves as opposed to others.

  • Does learning about Virology and BioEngineering from wesker count as a date? Because if it does then damn,I choose nurse.

  • I aint even good at survivor and still get pretty far (because I actually do gens, the other 3 people apparently got different ideas tho) so I started packing Left behind,it's another feeling to survive when your teammates are potatoes :)

  • Killers weren't overbuffed, they were given help with tiny increases with breaking,M1 cooldown, and such.

What really makes survivor "hard" is that now a lot of survivors that were being hard carried by DS and DH are now realizing they're actually dog doodoo at the game. So they're inhaling copium by the lungful because they can't cheese a chase to last longer than it should've been and now have to actually learn to loop tiles and play ball without their free get out of jail or loop extending card anymore. If you can't effectively play after the patch (where you no doubt changed your build with all the nerfs) then you can't have a say because you're literally the same person who copied a build and used it thinking you're good when you can't even loop an M1 killer.

I used SB before the DH nerf and I still use it now,I'd rather leave the thought of a chase altogether than try to loop and get smacked down because I can't do it too well.

  • Deep wound them prior, makes DH useless. The issue is that DH is more or less the same thing from before except done differently, hell I'd argue that BHVR dropped the ball on making it less Favorable in the nerfening patch. Still see it at least twice per survivor.

Early game is the worst part for all Killers. You have no pressure and everyone can split to do a gen. If Survivors play well or spawn well they can just:

    • Finish a gen before you can even found someone or almost finish it
    • Find one Survivor but the rest is working on different Generators and by the time you finish the chase and hook them you can lose 2-3 gens, which is massive.

Some slow / weaker killers would need this but I can see on top tier killers... they don't really need this.

Well you actually explained it and he stayed quiet, good on you man!

  • @VexTheHex said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3171096#Comment_3171096

A large difference is Survivors cannot take the Killer out of the match to force him/her to do nothing. Killers can always still chase, roam, and injure. Sitting on a hook with a Killer roaming around the corner to put you back up or keep you on there is such a pile of steaming poo of game design. You're playing bench warmer in a video game as basically just a progress bar for everyone else in the match indicating when the Killer has finished and will now move onto the next progress bar... I mean victim.

Actually the Killer can be technically removed from the game for the other 3 survivors if one is really good at looping. Either the killer commits to get the down or wastes time and goes to a Gen that just pops. Unfortunately that's also why you see 2-3 killers all the time, nurse can't be looped on any map (which is good if you think about it due to how MOST maps are utter garbage for a killer to play through, look at EoC,Both RPDs,and Garden of DC for references) which means survivors need to do things differently and can't rely on spamming a God window. Blight is more or less the same but logic bumb can only take him so damn far in these maps as well.

Keep in mind, these killers are the best available rn. So that leaves the rest of the roster struggling or just below the point to keep up in power level and relevance when you run into sweats at night because they aren't moble or don't have a strong anti loop game like artists.

  • Wesker is completely bugged and overnerfed. The new characters are nice and dandy, hunk was added as a legion skin.

Survivors are getting their hands held again and RPD got a rework and now it's 2 maps but both still blow.

  • Unfortunately a true statement. Also unfortunately a way to combat another game flaw, the survivors can do their own objective too fast and the killer can't do theirs as fast. CMWinter also talks about it from time to time but if I see more than 2 toolboxes,I don't care what's gonna happen, someone's gonna get tunneled out. That's the only reasonable way to win against multiple toolboxes with no doubt at least 2 having a BNP. Simply put, survivors want killers to play the 12 hook game but that's unreasonable and literally is setting you up for failure because the gens will fly while you're trying to make sure everyone's on death hook so no one can cry out tunneling or whatever.

You can call camping/tunneling a game flaw,I call it doing my objective fast. Same as survivors call genrushing doing their objective effectively/fast. So if one goes, the other does as well.

  • When I saw OP point out survivors don't like to spend a perk slot,I knew the man drank coffee. Yes,perks shouldn't be necessary but let's be honest, most survivors are going to run the strongest perks they can to avoid having a hard time in game (No timmy,no one cares that you're at low to mid level games and using a weird build)

I know this because every survivor I met before the nerfening patch used DS,DH,and IW on repeat. Now it's OTR,DH,PT,and a another perk. That's the issue, doesn't matter how hard they can try, they're not gonna give up a perk slot if it means sacrificing a strong perk.

This also goes hand in hand with killer, same exact patch, every survivor went over to kill and copy pasted the exact same builds with hardly any diversity.

If the perk isn't worth for the perk slot by being incredibly powerful then they'll simply ask for it to be basekit. Happened with BT and now it's more apparent now that it's 10s. Cant really win with this crowd tho.

Tldr: Survivors can't play without their same perk load out every game

  • Fake a pick up and start slugging,it's how I deal with flashlight squads if I run into em.

  • It's still irritating to this day, difference is that you can at least invalidate it with killers that apply deep wound (namely legion) so they can't use it.

Any other killer? Same ol "wait it out" nonsense when survivors are literally using it to get to pallets or windows (which is the exact same thing they were using it for before, difference is that this DH gives no distance.)

I'm not saying it's broken,it's just irritating for the sake of it as opposed to being actually unfair like original DH

  • I have him but I'm gonna refuse to play him until he gets fixed (bugs and his atrocious hitbox on VB)

I simply refuse to literally cripple myself by playing a character who's power itself is crippled by piss poor coding and implementing. So until he's fixed,I'm sticking with hunk (which despite his animations being bugged, you can play the guy as you normally would.)

  • 10 camping legions in a row? I heard the stories and I know all of em are just people blowing smoke to try and get sympathy points lol

If you're not happy with the game just leave, don't come here with a made up(albeit poorly,I instantly knew this was crude lol) story and expect people to agree lol

  • @Sumnox said:

Wesker is A tier. And no killer is D tier EXCEPT trapper. Most killers are A-B.

This is inaccurate at least currently,in theory he's at least mid B tier if we were to be playing him without bugs or his overnerfed hitbox. Reasoning is simple,he's a mix of blight + Nurse while being painfully balanced. You can't curve his dash (which in Re5,you could at least curve jaguar dash which is the general inspiration for VB) and his myriad of bugs will sometimes save a survivor. Not only that but his hitbox on M2 is literally luck to hit currently. I WISH he was A tier but he's too clunky and riddled with bugs to put him above B tier.

Kinda disappointed in the HUNK (played 4th surv. multiple times...) skin yet happy. I do think it should've been purple rarity like the Robbie skins.

Agreed but christ man, they didn't really give a choice with how poorly they handled wesker..

  • Respect their power and play around it. There's no need for changes or any other half baked nonsense for ideas. People just refuse to actually play differently to each killer and want changes made so they can do less.

Also no one cares if you're a legion main, your opinion is not free of criticism regardless of who you play.

  • They hard nerfed the hitbox to make it more precise which is probably whats happening, unfortunately they forgot to remember that there's such a thing as too much. Now I ######### you not,all you gotta do is literally side step SLIGHTLY and you have a 90/10 chance of avoiding him and getting more time. This is not including that if a survivor gets salty or have an entitlement attack and can actually bug wesker so he doesn't do anything for the whole game.
