I think pinhead is worst, if you are not on a swf with comms, you are done. Plague is still tolerable and matches are winnable.

You can cleanse the totem to remove ruin
Still not fair, I gotta waist time looking for the totem just so I can use my perks? Ridiculous
-
It will pass, he just got a rework and everyone is trying him. Is like when a new killer comes out and you face him 4 out of 5 matches for like 2 weeks. Eventually killers move on and start mixing thing up again
-
I'll say a little killer sided, mainly because I rarely play killer, and when I do I mostly get 3 or 4 kills, and I'm not even good as killer.
-
I feel you, I'm new at killer and get nothing but bully squads thay easily destroy me. MMR is absolutely useless.
-
It would be awesome a ghost rider one

bro, alien came out like 2 hours ago
Came out on august 29th, so just a ridiculous exageration to say 2 hours ago, and the perk has been an issue from the moment it came out, and there's been more than enough time to do something about it.
-
Is amazing the same killer was made in such an awful way twice

Always felt that there should be a hardcore mode with no hud, red stain or aura's.
This game is definitely missing a new game mode.
-
Distortion is fine, killers have way too many perks and add ons to see auras, distortion helps counter that just like lightborn counters flashlights, and lightborn don't even need tokens.
-
Distortion is fine the way it is, it counters aura reading like lightborn counters flashlight, and lightborn don't even need tokens

If you put the trap too close to the vault, they can just vault past it.
Are you kidding me? Like trapper's power is not weak enough, you also have to be super precise or it won't work? That's lame
-
Simple, huge reward for doing something that takes 0 skills
-
Maybe making it that staying close to hook makes the struggle to progress slower
-
Just go with whatever you like, I went with Mikaela simply because I love redheads

That’s the risk you have to take now if you want to run multiple aura perks. Same thing with killers having to risk playing against Distortion and having their aura perks removed.
It feels like aura perks are slowly getting weaker and weaker. And most aren’t even that good compared to most meta perks anyway so I don’t see why they need so many hard counters now.
I personally don’t think Ultimate Weapon or Distortion are very strong perks, but I don’t think they aren’t healthy for the game either so I wouldn’t complain about nerfs if it means aura perks aren’t made near useless by a single perk.
Distortion is not even close to be as commonly used as ultimate weapon is right now
-
The perk is complete BS, specially on killers with big terror radius. It requires 0 skills for a huge reward
-
Same is happening to me, also on PS5

Around the same time you start using turrets and learning how to properly position them.
In all seriousness, I will mention that its cooldown is bugged so you make almost no distance. That's being looked to be fixed next bugfix.
If you mean the tail itself, use turrets. Her chase power is, much like Neme or PH, simply too oppressive to keep looping normally. If you can't, then don't be afraid to pre throw and W. Distance will be your only weapon against her in that case.
As for the game mechanics, the last time we had a killer without a chase power, we got Skull Merchant. Before that, Sadako.
And those killers are prove on how bad devs' killer designs are around the mechanics of their own game
Making a killer that makes all that useless is a lazy solution

They changed the activation button, rather then pressing E while working on a gen, you now need to go next to the gen and press F
It's a little less intuitive but you can drive-by plant it now without needing to work on a gen for a few seconds, so honestly I see it as a buff
Holly, when did this change happened? Had no idea, tks for the info

If your swings aren't lunging make sure to hold the trigger. There is a fast hit and a lunge hit. It's not just a console thing, I play with controller on PC and the auto aim will cause you to swing into things there too. You learn to adjust for it some but sometimes it just goes wonky.
That's what I'm talking about, a full swing pressing the trigger all the way, and killer just finishes the swing before it should

oh no ping exists this is weskers fault
How is it fair that ping always favors the killer? I'm playing correctly, doing what I should do and still get punished

Is the same for me, trying to learn killer, I get nothing but experienced survivors and bully squads

pick bubba, use gen blocking perks, facecamp first survivor and go for next
I'm trying to have fun, no stand there doing nothing
-
Is happening to me too on PS5, my ping has been jumping all the way up to 500, then goes back to normal then high again. I checked my internet and is perfectly fine, and other friends of mine been having the same issue
-
Are you also on ps5? Been having the same issue on Mexico
-
I once reported a cheater and I got baned because his nickname was visible in the evidence. That made absolutely no sense
-
Trapper, didn't know it can be so much fun
-
Nooo
-
It can be hard, specially in solo Q, and losing a pip, which I still don't understand why that is even a thing, it should be just for people that DC. And the increase on camping/tunneling.
When I reach iri, I just stop solo Q and only play with friends
-
If skull merchant is fun why does everyone just DC or kill themselves om first hook? Nobody wants to spend an hour with this boring poorly designed killer. Is by a lot, the worst killer in the game
-
Sometimes is to do an adrenaline play, if they are on coms, someone is in chase, they would just wait for the survivor to get downed juat to finish the last gen and he instantly gets back up
-
Are you on PS, something similar happenes to me on PS5 all the time
-

I'm confused: you have 460 posts, are you the new killer, are you talking about someone else?
The general new killer experience, though it can vary, usually involves mascaraing baby survivors.
I always payed surv until recently started killer

The game is a nightmare for experienced killers to against these teams. Just went against one and they burned a farm offering which is all survivor sided crap maps. 1 hook all gens done. Body blocking, saboing. Nothing I can do but be their entertainment as I struggle to even get a single hook.
Exactly, gens just fly, they don't let you hook, they good at looping, there is absolutely nothing a new killer can do

*New players
Plus, I'd argue that with the balancing adjustments over the past year and how MMR ratings change due to it, lead to a general disconnect between experience/skill level and MMR rating. Killers, once they have a hang of the basics, are more likely to advance up until they reached their upper limit based of their current skill, while survivors who either play for fun instead of efficiency or who regularly play SoloQ will drop down until they reach the lower limit of their current skill.
The term "bully squad" gets used very broadly for all kinds of behaviour. It needs context. How do you define bully squad here?
A swyf team of clearly 4 experienced played in comms doing fl saves and hook sabo so you get nothing the whole match, how is it possible that MMR matches a new killer vs a team like that?

Yeah, but counter to that I think a successful flashbang should induce audio impairment such as an ear ringing sound as you would get on any other game. There are few things more frustrating than succesfully blinding the killer with one and then looking back in horror as he follows your path with absolute precision from several meters away.
True, the flashbang is a similar situation and that one would make sense to also affect the killerd hearing, like real flashbangs do

It's just, mind boggling. You're playing a horror game, and the best strat is to stand perfectly still, directly in front of the killer, knowing that you're completely untouchable because if the killer tries to hit you, they lose the hook and reset the chase. It's goofy as #########.
Can you imagine a Halloween movie, where Laurie stands in a doorway mooning Michael going "nah nah nah you can't get through!"
You mean like how campers stand still there in front of the hooked survivors, sure what a horror game

if flashlight is only to save then the usage of the flashlight is way too situational
You are right, it's very situational. Flashlights can be used for saving a carried survivor, destroying hag traps, and destroying artist crows. Beyond that they are generally pretty weak.
I'm not sure why you think that blinding someone should also deafen them. You have taken away one of the killer's senses, but that doesn't mean they don't get to use their others to find you.
I never said it should deafen, but if I'm not making noise, it should not be that easy too find me
-
@ExcelSword said:
The major use for blinding a killer is to get them to drop a survivor, any time you waste trying to blind a killer at a pallet is less time and distance you gain running as they break the pallet.
As a survivor there is no situation that you make "no noise at all".
Your character always makes breathing noises, as well as footsteps while running. You also make noise when you disturb grass, and some surfaces like mud and wooden floors are much louder to walk on.
This is intentional design to allow killers to hunt and start chases with survivors; it's the reason injured survivors are very loud, and why the in-game music is so quiet outside of chases.
I don't agree, if flashlight is only to save then the usage of the flashlight is way too situational, is supposed to be also a tool to confuse the killer and help you in a chase, if a killer can be blinded and still knows where I and and even go around object and walls to get me while blind is just ridiculous and pointless
-
I don't think regression perks should be removed, more likez combination of them should not be allowed, they are just too powerful when combined and do all the heavy lifting for the killer

Lithe

It's funny how Survivor mains will say "Nurse mains crying" yet it's literally the survivor mains constantly crying for Nurse nerfs and won't shut up about it till somethings done. Remember when Nurse got her rework about a year or so ago when BHVR started reworking Killers then everyone after that said she was fine as her play rate and kill rate dropped massively? (still remains one of the lowest) People unlike yourselves "got good" and you can't handle that and just want everything you don't like nerfed to make the game easier for yourselves on top of already given hand holding mechanics.
Killers do the exact same thing when they don't like something. Cry and cry untill is changed

I do agree her blink attack should not count as a basic atack. If they fix that it would be anough for me

Good idea but as they said, developers dont seem to be interested in this feature. At this point I would even welcome a "destroy item" option, why do I want splinter offerings cluttering my inventory?
Yeah, maybe I destroy it and get half the BPs is worth?

That's not the point, point is to buff killers vs SWF and to buff solo Quee, to make a good balance.
There are many things that need to be look at, idk why DBD doesn't listen to players like Hens, OTZ, D3ad and others when they say something is broken and should be looked at, they have valid points.
So, you think killers need even more buffing? If you are not doing well as killerd the way the game is right now, you really have a skill issue, not an "unbalanced game" issue

Skill checks can only appear once every 3 seconds at most. So wait until you get a skill check, then let go before the next one.
So if killer is coming to my gen I'm supposed to just stay there waiting for a skill check?
