  • You see I'm opposite to that. I've always stayed dead still if they're camping, and then I wave my hands like a madman when the killer is nowhere near.

if flashlight is only to save then the usage of the flashlight is way too situational

You are right, it's very situational. Flashlights can be used for saving a carried survivor, destroying hag traps, and destroying artist crows. Beyond that they are generally pretty weak.

I'm not sure why you think that blinding someone should also deafen them. You have taken away one of the killer's senses, but that doesn't mean they don't get to use their others to find you.

Yeah, but counter to that I think a successful flashbang should induce audio impairment such as an ear ringing sound as you would get on any other game. There are few things more frustrating than succesfully blinding the killer with one and then looking back in horror as he follows your path with absolute precision from several meters away.

  • It looks to have started with the most recent increase to gen times back in the summer. Not that I'm against the intention of that change, but the outcome was bad in my opinion. Before you'd see a lot of varied builds, often survivors wouldn't run any gen perks. In the immediate aftermath of that update when I played survivor I really struggled, and the result was a belief that I had to run gen perks to have a shot of winning the game. It's tit-for-tat now with every survivor and killer running gen rush/regression perks, hence the boring meta that we are currently in.

  • She's been the most OP killer for the longest time, but despite that she was buffed when the hit cooldown was reduced for all killers. Now breaking line of sight is even harder to do. At the very least they should restore the old hit cooldown solely for Nurse.

  • Dumbest complaint ever. The game is co-op and has been since the start, if you don't like it then play something else because they're not going to change the core design. Next nerf suggestion, BHVR should just remove player controlled survivors out the game and replace them with bots.

  • Lol I get demolished by dredge, I'm a magnet for his portals and I turn into a blind idiot when Nightfall occurs

  • Don't be contrarion for the sake of it. Of course this perk needs a nerf. Let's compare this to its closest friend Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance - perfectly counterable by watching for the hook animation, requires the killer to walk to one of the four hooks that triggers it, survivor screams don't reveal their location, it affects ONE generator, and the survivor can immediately resume progression after screaming.

Eruption on the other hand cannot be countered unless you are playing with a mic, it affects ALL gens being worked on, it removes the ability for the survivor to perform any action for 25 seconds. This perk isn't merely twice as good as Scourge Hook, it is at least three times as powerful.

So yes, it obviously needs a nerf. Should Scourge Hook get a buff also? Yes, they could remove the aura of the survivor during the hook animation so it can't be so easily countered. OR reveal survivor location OR even introduce the incapicitated status, albeit not for the ludicrously excessive period of 25 seconds.

Seriously, yesterday I played solo against a nurse with this perk and I kid you not, I could not complete this one gen until all my teammates died after getting hooked repeatedly.

    Unfair and not fun.

  • Yeah, it's stupid in my opinion. I often take the opportunity to switch builds at the last second before character selection is blocked which means that others have to wait around pointlessly to start a game. It was especially the case before keys were nerfed.

Commodious + the sabo speed addons is what I use if I ever want to have a sabo-fun match lol (no sabo speed reduction on that toolbox). But I'm definitely in agreement that it wouldn't hurt to relook at survivor items. We all know where the Broken Key belongs..... lol. I wish we had a discard or sell-back option for those relatively useless addons and items.

For what I want to do only the Alex toolbox with addons works. Follow the killer with breakout, take a hit at the hook, instantly sabotage the hook, then dead hard to procc two hits for mettle of man.

The build should you fancy it is: Breakout, saboteur, mettle of man, dead hard.

    So. Much. Fun. :)

  • Thanks guys, next time I play her I'll try somersaults instead.

  • I think that's the one, completely caught me by surprise as I haven't experienced it before.

  • Honestly I think the difference between even Gold ranked survivors and Red ranked is night and day. I think it's more of a fine line between ranks for killers personally. It can be really difficult to rank up if you are solo queing outside of the highest ranks. I only got back in to the red ranks for survivor a couple of days ago but the difference in quality is always such a relief.

The stuff I've seen in the last weeks was borderline traumatising. Players cleansing dull totems, players getting killed in 5 second chases, going for hook saves mid-chase without BT, players chasing other survivors in a desperate bid to get the killer to switch target. The list is endless.

Honestly when people say the game is survivor-sided I agree that it is at the highest ranks, especially with a party of friends. If you're queuing as a solo survivor in lower ranks however it can be a harrowing experience.
