Just curious (only to killers who aren't gods & don't get 4k every single game) how long does it usually take you to get to iri?
I’d say on average a week and a half. But that’ll turn into 2 weeks or more when this semester starts.

What's your twitch?
I might watch D3ad, but only if he plays Demogorgon from time to time. If he doesn't, I'm not watching
He plays every killer man. He’s the best killer I’ve seen on the game. But he’s specifically doing a streak with nemmy. He’s on YT and TTV.
Is there a DM method on here?

Please show me your gameplay and how good your Survivors are. I'd love to be proven wrong about Nemesis' strength
You’re welcome to follow my twitch.
Or you can go watch D3ad plays. He’s currently on 140ish streak with nemesis, he showcases how strong nemesis is perfectly.

If you aren't having trouble getting to T2, you're not facing good Survivors
Considering I’m on a 67 and running win streak with nemesis, i don’t think that’s the issue.
Perhaps you just suck with nemesis. He’s not a hard killer at all.

Nemesis has to hit T2 to have an actual Power. Good Survivors will make that difficult.
That's where Demogorgon has Nemesis beat (also in range, 1v4, Add-Ons and mobility)
I can only recall maybe 1 game that I had trouble getting to tier 3. It’s really not hard at all.

Top 5 most mediocre Killers? There's no way you can honestly think Nemesis is a top 5 Killer when he's a worse Demogorgon
Ok lemme explain. Nemesis has something that all other ranger killers don’t have.. take huntress and slinger for example, (who are 4.4 killers), they can hit you over a pallet, just as nemesis can. However the biggest advantage that nemesis has is he has a win win situation at pallets. Either he’s going to connect the hit and injure / infect the survivor, or he misses the survivor and breaks the pallet anyway. Any other range killer misses over a pallet, and they have to go through cooldown before they can then break the pallet or continue chase.
Nemesis’s tentacle hit box does not just end where the whip lands, it lasts through the entire animation and is not stationary, meaning by moving sideways while tentacle striking, he’s covering a huge area with the whip, making it much more difficult to dodge, and impossible to dodge in some tiles. Tier 3 nemesis has one of the strongest anti loops in the game. Demo is good, but nemesis still beats him at pallets and windows.

Enough with the nurse forums. We get it. 😴

Nemesis.
Giving survivors free health states....on repeat. Is pretty bad. Even with the anti loop capability, you have to cut through several survivors worth of health states to make it actually have an impact. By the time you've cut through all those health states, shy of camping, the game is over.
Nemesis is top 5 killers easy.

At first I just assumed "good killer". But so many weird things started happening that I began to take more notice. For example: one game playing against Dredge he was downing and hanging survs at a rate so I assumed he had BBQ & chilli. So next time he downed someone, I was in a locker well before the hanging. This was a locker not near a generator, far side of the map, absolutely no reason at all for the killer to come through that locker. But immediately after the hanging, he teleports straight through the exact one I'm in and straight onto a hook I go. I then watch the killer head directly for the next surv who is also in hiding and pretty much impossible for the killer to know exactly where he was. I stick around until after end of the (very short) game and the killer has not a single aura assisted perk. That was when my suspicions were raised. After that I began to pay attention to more killers, and particular attention to how they played and after the game to see if their perks supported it. In every case where I had my suspicions the common factors were: not from my platform, and not a single aura based perk.
Good headphones won't help you find a survivor who you hadn't previously seen and who was hiding motionless somewhere.
Guessing survivor movement is possible, but not with 100% accuracy, which is what I've observed.
So, I'm really not jumping to conclusions out of saltiness, there's definitely something smelly going on. I've been playing DbD since release on PS4 and under the old system I was a regular Rank 1 player, so I've played enough (1000s of hours) to notice a distinct difference since coming back to DbD after a bit of a break.
And the 30% number was just a guesstimate (qualified that this 30% is from "not my platform" players) and maybe I just got unlucky with my killer allocation but I have played a lot of games this week and it was happening in those sorts of numbers.
It's also telling that I NEVER experienced this odd killer behaviour when they were on the same PS4 platform as me.
Just because you're a legit killer doesn't mean there aren't bad eggs out there. Try playing as a surv for a bit, analyse the killer gameplay style and see if their perks support it. Sometimes it does, fine; all good, and sometimes it definitely does not.
Perhaps they were using an aura perk you didn’t recognize, such as the dredge’s locker aura.
As well as that, I believe the dredge gets killer instinct for survivors in or near lockers while teleporting if I’m not mistaken.
im not saying you’re wrong.. just like to give the benefit of the doubt because I’ve been called a cheater multiple times because I’ve used good game sense and knowledge to pull survivors out of random lockers or randomly hit them from behind trees and corners. (With no aura perks). I honestly do it all the time because survivors are predictable 90% of the time.

Desperate Measures has quickly become one of my go to perks ever since I unlocked it from the shrine. It directly counters thanatophobia and perfectly compliments my healing and unhooking builds. Killers can't grab me off of hook and I feel like I always have a med-kit on me.
What survivor perk do you love running?
Windows windows windows.
but lately I’ve been running head on and flash bang with my buddy and we get back to back stuns and flashes. It’s quite hilarious.

non-lunges are not reactable by design, the average reaction time is .25 sec, or 15 frames on a logic scale based off of 60fps, and thats before factoring in any latency. Lunges are supposed to be reactable, normal swings are not. You're supposed to use it on reaction for stuff like lunges, while making a read for faster interactions like normal swings.
Yes.. and good killers will combat dead hard with a non lunge hit. Most survivors aren’t using dead hard in reaction to a swing coming, it’s being used at moments they HOPE the killer will swing. Or it’s being used while baiting the killer to swing.
IE, popping DH while greeding a pallet, faking a window, or trying to spin the killer.

But for some killers its a complete non issue. Legion, Deathslinger, and Trapper dont even know it exists anymore. But yes I agree, something like Dead Hard will always be unhealthy for the game since reacting to swings is extremely easy.
It’s really not easy. A non lunge swing happens in 10-15 frames, which requires a reaction in a little less than .3 seconds. That’s not an easy reaction window.

I doubt 30% of your killers were using Aura hacks.. there are so many aura perks that allow that kind of behavior.
Good headphones make it really easy to guess a survivor behind a corner.
Its also not hard to guess survivor movement. If I see a survivor go around a corner and not come out the other side, they’re obviously trying to hide.
don’t jump to conclusions.

Franklin's Demise. It is just unfair to give the opponent an ability that wastes the blood you spent. If the survivors had a similar perk that broke the killer's add-ons when they got stunned, then riots would happen.
I mean.. it’s 1v4. It’s completely fair.

@Regulus47 said:
I think the stun should vary in length based on the killer. For normal M1 killers like trapper and legion it should be 5 seconds, but for ranged and mobility killers it should be more along the lines of 8 seconds. Either that, or disable their powers after the DS stun for 15~ seconds to stop an instant re-down.
Oh, and it shouldn't deactivate for the rest of the match if used once. Absolutely no reason for that now that conspiracy actions deactivate the perk. Most of those actions shouldn't even deactivate the perk in the first place.
8 seconds?! Are you high?
-
There’s literally nothing wrong with spirit. She just need any nerfs, if anything her basekit needs a small buff (I’d say shorter recovery time for power).

Meh. Especially if you're the last one alive, AND they have you pinned down. You're dead anyways. I don't see the point in denying it. It's up there with some of the most obnoxious things to do in DBD for challenges. Including the plague vial purge/downing 2 people at once(or is it hitting them ?) TWICE in a match.
Agreed. Every time I’ve gotten down to one person while chasing the achievement, it’s always the last person just jumping in a locker. Like what’s the point? It’s just toxic.
-
I think it would be a healthy revert.

Part of being a good killer. Is realizing what is smart and adventagious to you. Finding a survivor and chasing them at shack with a long wall jungle gym 5m away from it ? Not smart. Going back after maybe missing a shot with deathslinger. To a spot where 2 survivors have to be, and will be out of position ? Smart.
Ehh, I run blight most of the time so I don’t really have an issue with something like that.

This is the only rational killer response so far. If survivors are rushing the hook and engaging in chases near it, all bets are off. If you're just breaking off chases to go back to the hook because you're not very good at chases, well, work on getting better instead of looking for the easy out.
Exactly. I always look for a new chase after unhooking, or go patrol the gens I found them on. But ultimately it’s up to survivors.. if they can’t wait for me to leave the area before going for the save, then we’re gonna start up the altruism circle of life lol. Otherwise, just take the chase away from hook and I’ll gladly let the unhook happen. 12 hook games are the most satisfying win a killer can get.

Lol ok buddy. If you go 2 min just looking for survivors.. you’re not making irid. If more then 1 gen pops before you get a hook,. Much less FOUR gens, you’re not making irid. Any seasoned killer knows survivor does not need a nerf after last patch.

Not really, stupid survivor stuff. More like a play you can make.
Hook a survivor at one corner of the map, doesnt really work if you hook them in the middle part.
Check others auras with BBQ, if you see all 3s auras, chase the closest, chances are they are on their way to the hook anyway.
This forces a further away survivor to stop doing gens and go to the hook
If you see that survivor making their way to the hook, even if you have already injured the previous survivor and are about to get a down break chase and chase the other survivor
Hooked survivor goes to 2nd stage or gets sacrificed because 1st chased survivor is already injured or downed and cant make an easy save and you are already chasing 2nd survivor near hook.
This isnt really camping nor is it proxy but it feels dirty af and in the same vein. Well the vein being using any kind of strategy i guess.
I don’t understand the point you’re trying to make. I literally just said that in simple terms.
-
I hate being slugged so a killer can try to find his 4k. Just put me on a hook so I can go next. 😒

@OldIronKing said:
Not trying to be rude but I think most of these "Why does every killer camp/tunnel?" posts are people who aren't very good at the game and are being matched with killers who aren't very good at the game. It is like a bronze LoL player complaining their bronze league teammates aren't good.
Lol I mean I’m irid 1 both surv & killer with 4.5k hours. I don’t think that’s the issue. I’m plenty good at the game.
And I’m not complaining.. just think it’s funny that all huntresses play the same. 😂
-
Absolutely, if they are pulling chase by hook (stupid survivor stuff), I will 100% prevent unhook to secure a second stage or a sacrifice. At the very least I will get some injures and a trade. I’ll send the unhooked person off with a hit to mend and the unhooker is going on hook. Gotta do everything to keep them off gens.

Title + if you can explain why you like them as well ;-)
1) Blight - simply because of how much fun it is to try and land some crazy 90-180 flicks in loops.
2) Oni - because his sound mechanics and power feel the most like an actual powerful killer.
3) spirit - I find it fun to try and mind game the survivors while they try and mindgame me. (You cant mindgame stridor spirit😏)
Those are my three mains..
4) Basement trapper - it’s fun to watch the game snowball once you get one person in the basement and 10 traps placed in shack and basement.
5) Basement bubba - obvious reasons.. don’t touch my chest.
-
Lmao what? There is nothing wrong with the recovery time. It has never once been an issue for me or any of my buddies. Matter of fact, you get 8 stacks of STBFL and the game is pretty much over. I really have no idea why you’re complaining about something like that. Especially as a blight… m1, rush, down.
-
It’s all the VPN players trying to get faster Q times. Bad latency is the cause of that issue.
-
@WishIcouldmain said:
The issue with Nemesis is how inconsistent he is with his kit, with the tentacle hitting you times it shouldn’t and others times it should’ve along with the zombies being either worthless or carrying and just being an overall unhealthy addition to the game. Additionally, since he’s on the weaker end of killers they will normally play with stronger builds and use the top starts and the tunneling is likely because of the three hit with power mechanic.
Nemesis is definitely not on the weaker side of killers. 😂 he’s got one of the best anti loops.

Number 8 is already a thing in the settings man. That was added awhile ago.

…Killers’s queue times!
7 minutes to find a game as killer is (banned word)! Most of the time I end playing against stupid players that get wrecked like noobies despite the fact they have more than 4k hours and they hit prestige 15-20+
On the other hand, I can find pretty fast games as survivor with THREE SECONDS queues. But hey, when I don’t verse tryharders (and I expect to verse tryharders) I verse stupid killers, unable to do what they need to do. Guess they’re ex-deadhard addicted-boosted survivors.
Fix matchmaking and give me fast lobbies against either noobs or tryharders, I want my 10 seconds queues back. My blades are thirsty
My ques have been fine as killer. 2-3 minutes during the day and instant at night.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/341188/why-do-all-huntress-players-play-the-same
Because it works the best.
You are a 4,4m/s killer, so it doesnt make any sense to walk around on most maps, because they are too big for such a slow-moving killer.
For example Blight can run down the whole map quickly. With Sadako, Dredge, Freddy or Demo, you can teleport to pressure other parts of the map easier than walking around like an old lady with only 4,4m/s
I disagree. Sure it works, but it’s not best. I’m a killer main, I main blight but I rotate the killers pretty evenly. I have never camped with a 4.4 killer and I did just fine. Usually a 3k with a hatch escape. The huntresses that camped off the rip last night, we just did all the gens and got 3 out. It might work against bad solo players.. but that’s about it.

@Volcz said:
Please stop. I know sometimes its just coincidence, bad timing/place but a lot of times, it just seems blatantly obvious that the teammate is trying to use you to either take a hit or get the killer off of them and to focus you. Especially at the start of the game. Whenever I'm in chase and I see people on a gen, I try to plan out where to run w/o interrupting them. If they're on one side of the map and the killer wants me so badly, I'll take him to the other end, etc.
But it seems this courtesy isn't something a lot of survivors do, and the ones that do try to bring the killer to me/get me focused, are usually always the selfish players/bad runners. Not always..but most.
Its probably the most frustrating thing for me at least, just because of how often it happens. Just had a game go horribly south b/c of a player like this. So much time wasted zzz. /rant
Let’s not forget the teammates that’s use bond and empathy to do it on purpose around end game.

I base it off their performance. If that survivor gave me a juicer chase, did gens, unhooks and stuff, I’ll typically chase them till I catch them, then let them go. If it’s one of the survivors that sandbags or let’s their team do the work, idc if they had dc’s or not. They didn’t earn hatch.
And as somebody said above, one clicky click, teabag, or point, no hatch. 🫡
-
I hardly get nurses lol. I think I had maybe 1 yesterday?

I’d like to see more blight and oni. They both have fun counterplay

Legion
legion again.
probably wraith
doctor
pretty good mix after that
-
full stacks of NWO will leave you with a full minute to open the gate. It doesn’t need a change.
-
So many people claim “I got this killer 3849359 times in a row”
I doubt these numbers. The odds of getting 5 nurses running irdentical addons IN A ROW, is very slim. Even more slim if they are all good nurses.

Letting Killers swing at windows and pallets is apparently really toxic. I get (almost) tunneled every game because of this or helping out a teammate that is getting tunneled out of the game is also toxic.. Some killers needs to calm down, it’s just a game. Stop acting like this towards people that do nothing wrong.
Lmao this same exact thing can be said about survivor. I also say GGWP in post game lobby, even if I lose.
Last night had a SWF running half sabo and half beamers. 3 popped sacrifice hook spreaders, and they took us to RPD. They tried so hard to bully squad it, but I ended up 3k’ing and the post match lobby was FILLED with salt, tears, and slurs. 😂
I won’t even bring up the amount of teabagging / clicky boys who DC when they get hooked 30 seconds after being cocky..
Survivors are just the same. 😬
