Im an avid spirit enjoyer and even tho I think OP is in the wrong and she is in a perfect spot atm, it is bs that you cannot pinpoint her, good headphones with directional audio lets you know exactly were she is, maybe since she is rare nowadays people dont know how but it is doable.

Um you can pinpoint her location enough for you to know which direction ( you as the survivor ) should be going in. It’s also proximity based ( means the whoosh gains intensity the closer she is to you )

she need a reduced cooldown to her power so that the FAsT MoVEmENt iN PHasE bY DEFaulT is actually useful 🙄

All victim of this, since The Twins came out their POV music has been the same Survivors hear

And I remember creating a bug report back then when it first happened and it was never acknowledged. I highly doubt they would do something nowadays

Hasn’t All three’s ( excluding Oni ) chase music always been the same for both sides?

I need to invest in a better headset i think -evil grin as killer-😅

If you don’t mind me asking…what headset do you use?

  • Hmm weird it always works for me whenever i swing

  • @Leonardo1ita said:

I suppose you're on PC right? You are referring to the frequency of the footsteps and not to their volume intensity right?

on ps5 actually, but yeah they’re there and can be heard ( they fluctuate tho as you may already know sounds aren’t really consistent in this game ) but they sound “ delayed “ in a sense like they’re slowly running.

  • You can hear her wailing/cries in it!

  • It does but you have to do it once every match but i agree we shouldn’t have to do that.

That and the acceleration instead of starting at 176% hurts as little as it is. Some things like that can make a huge difference and this is one

I can also confirm this didn't happen before at all, I hope this isn't a shadownerf as it happened to Billy with his cooldown 3/4 years ago or with Wraith's shadow dance add-on.

I remember it being different, you did not stay still in place for 0,5 seconds.

Yep totally, thought it was just me bugging, this seems like a stealth nerf.

    @Pay2Win said:

Why hasn't bhvr at least acknowledged this post yet? They have no reason to not have done so by now.

    @Fen said:

Can confirm. Everytime you start Phasing you lose a whole second of your power before being able to move.

    @Pay2Win said:

Step 1: Boot up the game

Step 2: Play as spirit in any mode (custom or public)

    Step 3: Start phasing

Step 4: Notice it takes a moment to get up to full speed, by the time you're at full speed you have lost roughly 1/4 of your power gage (without duration add-ons). This effect is more noticeable with speed add-ons

https://youtu.be/SrlZEGmHMXQ Pre-nerf, she had no acceleration.

https://youtu.be/4hzlTS5Wymk Post-nerf, the spirit accelerates when starting to phase and when she gets to full speed, 1/4 of her power has already been used.

If this was intended, please address it, if not then please fix it because it makes her feel clunky.

press the attack button once you gain control of Spirit ( at the start of a match ) and it’ll disappear for the entirety of the match. :)

  • @sizzlingmario4 said:

    Could you post an example?

play her for one match and you’ll notice it immediately ( assuming you already know what running footsteps sound like and you’re in phase-walk .)

  • What exactly is wrong with the audio? Dbd is known for its sound issues but i specifically want to know about this mid chapter’s new sound bugs? Are you referring to audio occlusion or just sounds in general? Or are survivors’ moans of pain muffled ?

  • @randonly said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2912939#Comment_2912939

yes, her phase walk when full loaded always been constantly fast, there are several videos showing it before the nerf. Currently it starts very slow. It's a glitch, because it wasn't changed in the nerf patch notes.

just swing the moment the match starts ( doesn’t matter if it’s a short or long lunge ) and it’ll vanish for the remainder of the trial :)

  • @Vampirox said:

    as a Spirit main:

    Listen to Breaking and Footsteps

there is a lot of grassy areas too, watch for grass movement.

and lastly stop fake phasing at pallets i see a lot of Spirits doing this, we have audio cues now when we phase.

You can still fake the charge up for a sec tho

  • Yeah, i’d love a movement speed increase to her default M/S and for Furin to be omnidirectional at all distances from spirit ( would still play in the TR )

  • @randonly said:

    Currently her power is glitched.

While the nurse will be doing 1-2 months with the range addons increasing blink speed, spirit will be doing almost a year with her power slower than normal.

Fixing this (which is already a lot for a A+ killer), you will feel her much better and consistent as before the nerf.

How is her power bugged? You mean that bit of slowdown that happens the moment Spirit gains full control of her movement in phasewalk?

  • @GannTM said:

I wasn’t around when this was a thing but after seeing gameplay of it I don’t think it would be that problematic now with directional audio. After watching gameplay, I can tell exactly when she when was going to vault based off her animation so it will be fine ti bring back. This can make her more appealing for everyone, can give more variety to play against, and can also be an indirect buff to Senko Hanabi.

    Thoughts?

Duh. There was a subtle tell that she was vaulting anyway. Most people just don’t want to focus hard enough 🙄

  • @GannTM said:

This isn’t a buff necessarily to Spirit but it is QoL. Fix the thing that makes you feel super slow in phase when you start a match. It feels so clunky. Sure I can just swing at the start to negate it, but I shouldn’t have to be reminded of that.

Also you forgot about the part where you’d be notified that you’re passive phasing when it happens on the Spirit’s screen ( like Sadako ) so you know… you can actually use it to your advantage :(

    the beginning

    Hi.

You may know me as the guy that says he copy and pastes all of his intros, but he realises that actually they sound really bad like that and so subtly changes them each time, from summarising dev streams, or for being "rude and mean" for not upvoting an idea I fundamentally disagree with due to it creating an incredibly pay-2-win environment, but a little known hobby of mine is also collecting and compiling all of the changes in a PTB to help people playing on consoles, or who are away from a consistent source of internet at the moment, understand exactly what changes have taken place, and see all of the new changes!

Massive shoutout to @Sowbug for joining me and allowing the gameplay to be filmed effectively.

This post has been baking for about 6 hours now, so without further hesitation my name is GoodBoyKaru (GBK for short), and here is everything that is new on the 5.7.0 PTB.

patch notes | April Midchapter | 5.7.0 Public test build

So, for anyone that likes to read, here's the link to the official patch notes on this PTB:

Trying out different formatting this time round, let me know how it looks. If it's decent I'll probably keep it and start having some fun with the titles.

    killer reworks | the legion

    power

Legion's Feral Frenzy has received a bit of a change. It functions mostly the same as before, with 2 key differences:

    • The Legion gains 0.2m/s movement speed for each fresh survivor hit during Feral Frenzy (up to a maximum of +0.8m/s), meaning they can now travel at a maximum speed of 6m/s.
    • The 5th chained hit of Feral Frenzy will instantly put the survivor into the Dying State, ending Feral Frenzy.

    add-ons

The Legion also got some new add-ons, which can be seen in the patch notes, but can also be seen here much easier. So here's every single Legion add-on as of 5.7.0

    music

Best friend Leg got some new music this patch, check it out here:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S4O8Qlmw7ho

Honestly, I really really like it. Reminds me of some absolute bangers that I still listen to lol. Frank's Mix Tape and Fuming Mix tape are absolutely the worst of the lot though. Like Joey's and Susie's and Julie's are all so much better it's not even funny.

killer reworks | the ghost face

    power

Ghost Face's power got some slight tweaks, and some major bugfixes. His reveal and stalk mechanic have been technically revisited to ensure proper compatability with current dedicated servers, bugs relating to revealing have been fixed, and finally two changes have been made to the Marked mechanic:

    • A Marked survivor is marked for 60s, up from 45s.
    • A Marked survivor is unable to reveal Ghost Face by normal means. Cancelling his power through a stun or making him miss a swing still works, however.

    addons

Ghost Face also got a full add-on pass! Here's all of his add-ons:

    music

Like our best friend The Leg, Ghost Face also got some new music! Check it out here:

Personally, it makes me ears bleed but here we are.

    The realm beyond | haddonfield

Our favourite map, Haddonfield, has received a change, both graphically and gameplay wise. Here's a video of me taking a lovely stroll around on my customised Ultra Plus graphics and, yes, I did disable my colourblind and monitor-correction filters so this is how it is supposed to look:

    https://youtu.be/4ZQX-f2ulvs

Perk changes | Boil over, Circle of healing

Boil Over has received a change:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/1COJ4PGYPBHG/image.png

Boil Over now increases wiggle effectiveness by 60%/70%/80%, from 50%/75%/100%, to streamline perk levels and help reduce issues console players would face with the perk. Wiggling will receive further changes later on.

Boon: Circle of Healing has also received a change:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/LRPJARBK0MRF/image.png

Boon: Circle of Healing now increases all healing speeds by 40%/45%/50%, down from 65%/70%/75% to help reduce the effectiveness of the perk.

    status reworks | haemmorhage

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/BYPAPNTI5342/image.png

Haemmorhage has also received a much needed rework! It now regresses any healing progress at a rate of 7% per second, taking ~14 seconds to fully regress. Apparently though I've found a bug; here is it taking a minute:

    https://youtu.be/ifAlW02VdzI

Subsequently, Sloppy Butcher (generic perk) and Z-Block (Freddy add-on) have been changed. Here they are:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/7VHF43HHB0N7/image.png

Z-Block now inflicts Haemmorhage for 90 seconds, up from 60, however healthy survivors no longer bleed.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/BFJP93TRWST7/image.png

Sloppy Butcher now increases the speed at which healing regresses thanks to Haemmorhage. Please note that this 15%/20%/25% applies to the 7%, it doesn't make it regress at 32%.

other changes | difficulty update, engine update, patching

    A couple more quick-fire changes:

    • Difficulties have been reworked! Survivors no longer have a difficulty, and killers are now ranked from Easy to Very Hard.

Easy killers are fairly straight forward to pick up and play.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/R6PDIARA4JNU/image.png

Moderate killers share a lot of similarities to easy killers, however involve a few special mechanics or are more mechanically intensive.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/A5K41A9FQ2HP/image.png

Hard killers have a couple of exclusive special mechanics and would be difficult to just pick up and play.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/7O7LVXBXBOY2/image.png

Very Hard killers are almost mechanically unique and would be difficult to see success with without lots of practice as them or many others to understand killer fundamentals.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/T7ICXGCXVNVV/image.png

If people want me to check the difficulty of a certain character, let me know and I'll reply with it.

    • The Engine has been updated! We now are playing in Unreal 4.27, which will hopefully help optimisations further down the line too (though nothing has been confirmed).
    • Downloads have been streamlined! "Pak" files have been changed to ensure that downloads and overall patching time are faster in the future (this will however need an almost full-game re-download).

    the ending

And that concludes this summary. Once again, massive shoutout to @Sowbug for joining me in recording the gameplay and making having actual clips of it possible. Really appreciate this one man.

So here's some actual gameplay on the PTB to see these things in action:

    https://youtu.be/x5vDxeNqoNo

And that's all. Have a good day folks

Can you tell me the current difficulty of Spirit according to the devs?

These were her add-ons for about a year until the spirit changes. Its pretty much what blueberry is referencing when he says spirit is a lot worse.

    https://youtu.be/ShD_xVH8DR0?t=17127

yeah i know all of her speed add-ons. On the wikipage, it states that MDR has never been through a number change and doesn’t say the green add-on had a 26% increase in movement speed. as for the other speed add-ons, they’ve had the exact same numbers as they do currently

i believe her speed add-ons were always the same regardless of the change she received unless a BHVR employee tells us otherwise.

  • You actually can , however, it’s so Darn hard IF they do decide to walk. Also, on some maps like Artist’s map….lmao yeah good luck listening for their footsteps.

I do not see them weakening Iron will. I would rather they revert Stridor to interact with Iron will and bring back Father glasses instead of dried cherry blossom. in general, Its perk for perk. I would say looping spirit is only brainless looping because of directional audio cue.

I think Spirit was competitively viable before her nerfs because her ability to tunnel someone out of the game was probably the best out of any killer especially with old mother daughter ring that increased her speed by 70% instead of 40%. Not many survivor players could 1vs1 a spirit for 5 generators.

survivor mains asked for easy-mode spirit so they got it.

You have proof that MDR used to be a 70% increase in movement speed?

  • @GannTM said:

I think this small little rework to Spirit’s power recovery would give her more viable map pressure while also making short bursts (the more boring play style) more punishing. Also, this could help put recovery recovery add ons on par with duration add ons so duration doesn’t also affect recovery. Here’s what I think should happen:

    • Power recovery always takes 8 seconds by default no matter how long Spirit has used her power.
    • Origami Crane should cut 0.5 seconds off recovery, Rin’s Broken Watch should cut 1 second, and Rusty Flute should cut 2 seconds. I will also suggest to make it where recovery add ons don’t stack as I feel Rin’s Broken Watch + Rusty Flute making it only 5 seconds of recovery would be too strong.

What do you all think of this?

May i ask how this change would affect short bursting negatively?

I wonder why I never knew this. Probably because I play against Spirit once in every 50 games. Thanks anyway!

I wish there were Spirit matches back to back 😔

  • @GannTM said:

Senko Hanabi currently blocks windows when 4 meters within the husk for 5 seconds after Spirit exits phase-walk. Would it be OP if it did the same to pallets? I don’t think so because it’s still only 5 seconds which is fairly short.

Senko Hanabi is a fun gimmicky add on that could use a buff and I think this could make the add on more worth using.

Spirit is able to block one side of a standing or dropped pallet by default.

If a survivor greeds a pallet, you can place the husk on either side and continue phasing straight from where you’ve placed the husk.

( at shack for example, you put the husk on the side of the pallet where it’s closest to the outside and then phase but you still got to watch out for the window vaults! ) seeing as survivors can’t go through the husk or drop a pallet from the side the husk is on. I hope this made sense?

Also Spirit’s husk can ( to an extent ) prevent survivors from initiating a vault on a dropped pallet on the side the husk is on but here’s the thing:

If a survivor drops a pallet, you can position yourself so that husk literally touches the pallet and then begin phasing and then the survivor ( if they’re the type to stay and listen for the directional audio cue to vault the pallet repeatedly every time you go around the pallet ) will see a prompt to vault the pallet, but here’s the trick, they cannot vault it again from the side the husk is on ( assuming you’re still in phase-walk ) as the husk will literally push them out of it.

I hope this helps you learn more tactics with spirit if you don’t already!

  • @[Deleted User] said:

nope, when survivors are just a bit further away from spirit’s husk’s breathing range and she phases, they’ll hear an omnidirectional audio cue and i tested it in a private match :)

if they’re closer to it then yeah sure they’ll hear it directionally

Well that was back in the days I was spamming Ebony Mori's on her too. I honestly could not remember ever really losing with that.

I liked the original green charge speed addon + the purple lunge addon. That one was so strong before it's first nerf and you basically got a hit at any short loop if they stayed at it for more than a second or two. Almost Nurse levels of strong.

70% MDR was also just outright broken, lol

    I don’t remember MDR ever being a 70% M/S increase? It’s always been 40% increase

  • @GannTM said:

Hello I’ve been off the forums for a few days and just saw the thread you tagged me in. Sorry about that.

    No worries!

  • Yeah, so sad :( turns out they transferred the purple hue to the “ Fused demon “ head that belongs to the skin “ blazing lineage “

and may i ask what the missing body piece is? And are you referring to the Haru Damashi skin ?

  • I really just think DCB is the one that should be reworked only as it’s very unoriginal and give current DCB’s downside to MDR. That’s all imo

  • @Aurelle said:

I kind of miss before she had a vaulting animation. It looked kind of cool to see her teleport from one side of the window to another.

You two i actually would like to see that again ( but you know why it will never happen again :(

it actually had a subtle tell for when she used to vault ( her old vaulting animation )

basically you’d see her red stain go THROUGH the window as opposed to staying on the side she’d vault from if that makes sense.

  • Every time the countdown begins ( from 15 secs till 1 ) i keep saying ( i REALLY will feel like dc’ing if it’s not Spirit 😂

    that’s how “ often “ i see her lmao

  • Spirit- Difficultly: Hard/intermediate

Hard -> Tracking healthy survivors who are smart with their movement and don’t run mindlessly / Iron Will or both at the same time.

intermediate: Injured survivors without Iron Will.

i think this pretty much sums up Spirit. Never easy.

  • @GannTM said:

Oh yeah thanks for pointing that out, it’s definitely something to keep in mind.

    You’re most welcome :)

if you’ve got any Questions regarding Spirit ( not that you need to clearly XD ) just ask away and i’ll do my absolute best to answer you ( don’t ask why but i’m so pedantic when it comes to spirit )

anyway, have fun playing Spirit in the meantime!

  • I hope this is a sign she’ll get a chase music of her own!

  • The only add-on i like about the nerf lmao.

FYI, when you’re using this add-on, keep in mind that you’ll be facing the direction you were last looking at ( the spirit herself not the husk ) upon teleporting back to the husk ( if you decide to teleport back to the husk. )

so what i like to do is to keep looking at a certain direction while charging up phase-walk and then phase without rotating the camera at all just moving in directions without turning the camera if that makes sense as it really tends to throw me off i when do rotate the camera.

it would be really nice if i could master doing it someday lmao not the hardest thing but can be really disorienting in the heat of the moment with all that’s going on in a chase if that makes any sense.

Nemesis: zombie FOV add-ons? zombies light up if they hit a survivor? killer instinct duration when survivors get vaccinated? come on now, these are completely useless. half of nemesis' add-ons are utterly unusable, and if you don't have any mutation rate or zombie speed add-ons, you may as well not bring any.

P-head: our divine avatar of punishment only has a few add-ons worth bringing. there are the 3 range add-ons, obviously. the two that increase the duration of trails on the ground are also quite good, but worse than the range ones. out of his purple and reds, only one of them is worth using, the one where trails inflict blindness. the rest, like nemesis, are completely useless.

I don't own every killer, so feel free to chime in with your own complaints if you know a killer with awful add-ons.

    Spirit’s Senko Hanabi Add-on:

Either increase the distance so that it can block more windows ( when the husk disappears and make it actually EXPLODE! )

or increase the duration the windows stay blocked for.

or both aforementioned changes made into one.

or better yet! make it so that it only blocks the side of a DROPPED pallet where the HUSK disappears from.

    Spirit’s Mother glasses add-on:

Either incorporate what it does into the Wakizashi Saya add-on OR rework it into an add-on that removes the Spirit’s vaulting animation. ( the vaulting animation from before the first nerf Spirit got. )

    Spirit’s Dried cherry blossom add-on:

-passive phasing can now be manually initiated with a cool-down of ( X number ).

-Default passive phasing is no longer existent.

I don’t necessarily agree base MDR movement speed is the way to go as 216% is pretty ridiculously fast, especially since Spirit has no turn restrictions like Blight.

Also, I agree in regards to DCB. I also had a similar idea a while back for a rework that controlling passive phasing manually. Not sure how effective it’ll be but it’s interesting nonetheless. Glad another dedicated Spirit main agrees though!

They had the chance to at least incorporate the ( manually initiating passive phasing ) concept/ idea into the Juniper Bonsai add-on. What a wasted opportunity!

but in all honesty tho, they should add a tell for when the default passive phasing happens on Spirit’s POV

Actually instead of MDR being basekit, i’d rather have her old green speed -increasing add-on that gave a 15% increase be her default movement speed and rework MDR.

why? It was the most speed add-on the was run by players that gave her good map pressure and could be paired with the purple duration that would bring her MS back to 176% without it unnecessarily ( except for the current MDR but it would be reworked anyway ) reducing it to 161%. That’s so painfully slow!

and besides if her default movement speed were 191% ( the old green speed add-on ) and players wanted to further increase it, they’d have to sacrifice one or two slots without adding extra duration ( yellow being 10% so that means 201% and brown being 5 so 196% but if both were equipped that means 205% would the maximum speed she’d be capable of having ( not taking into account PWYF because it’s a perk ).

    what do you think?

  • @GannTM said:

Honestly just curious. I think for me, it's got to be the iridescent add on, Kintsugi Teacup. Here's the description:

"A cup mended and lacquered with powdered gold. Both the breakage and repair are part the cup.

    "

I consider it to be a super well designed add on that is fun to use and very effective. What I love about it is that it punishes predropping survivors extremely well and it also gets new Spirit players into the good habit to kick more safe pallets. It sucks it’s Iri as I consider it an amazing choice for all Spirits at every skill level.

So tell me. What is your favorite add on from Spirit?

Mdr. I really wish it were her default MS when they nerfed her. The other speed-increasing add-ons ( yellow and brown ) would be reworked so that they wouldn’t stack with her new default MS if that were the case. So she’d be moving at 216% at all times unless she ran the purple duration add-on.

Also please rework DCB it’s so unoriginal! Make it so that you can manually initiate a passive phase with a cool-down of ( X number ) and the downside would be the default passive phasing is non-existent if the add-on is equipped. That would be so much better and passive phasing would actually be skillful and interactive because right now you don’t even know ( as spirit ) when it happens ( no shadow reflecting its occurrence/no visual effects on screen like how it is with Sadako ) you can just base it off of a survivor hesitating for a second.

  • Why what? It’s been like this since her nerf so blame it on the devs

    Furin.

All but reverts her nerf, and you can get the gen grabs.

It really doesn’t entirely as when the husk is within 16 meters or so ( husk’s breathing range ) of the survivor and the actual spirit is phasing near that, they get the same directional audio cue.

  • Spirit. Always has been. Pre and post nerf. Although she isn’t as fun to go up against as she used to cuz of the directional sound that takes away her uniqueness but oh well.

I dedicate this recent achievment of mine to all you spirit fans out there, but especially @Thegamermajor and @C3Tooth . It ain't much, but there are still peeps playing this game, who appreciate her kit. Now I am one of you 3,7%!

But Rin is really, really hard to get into. It feels like the survivors got way more info on you then you got over them, and they can also 100% shut you down with one of the meta perks. Playing Spirit these days truly is an uphill battle.

Yep. Healthy survivors ( who i really like chasing cuz it’s much more fun for me than chasing an injured survivor without iron will for some reason lmao ) and survivors with tier 3 iron will ( prolly even tier 2 ) have way more information on her than she does on them.

if they’re injured without iron will ( as long as the game doesn’t bug out and gives them free iron wills that is ) , i guess that’s fine right?

i wish they’d make the “ furin “ add on omnidirectional and add like a downside to it like Spirit’s footsteps are audible or something , it would be really fun for mindgame potential ( it’d still work in the TR mind you )

    You don't.

That add-on is just not worth using.

strangely enough, it proved to be useful once on Haddonfied where i positioned Spirit’s body right below a window outside a house and phased upstairs then killer instinct went off and i immediately returned back to the husk ( was running wakizashi saya ) and the player instantly dc’ed 😂😂 i bet i gave them a scare.

i wish it would work more often.

  • Spirit- ( Ultra Rare add-on ) :

    ( Rin’s Revenge) :

The sight of your dismembered limbs fills you with even more hatred and resentment toward your father.

( there will be a dismembered limb icon to match the add-on details. )

    Pros:

-Immediately after exiting phase-wall, The Spirit lets out an angry yell ( like the one in her Mori ) and has a window of 0.5 seconds or a tiny bit more to instantly incapacitate healthy survivors.

-Allows the Spirit to see the shadows ( NOT AURAS ) of survivors within lunge distance.

    Cons:

-The Spirit can be SEEN charging up her power while she loses sight of survivors as usual ( the hand twitching that happens from the Spirit’s POV while charging up her power to go into phase-walk ) and her HUSK no longer has collision ( meaning survivors can run/go through it just like how she’s able to.

    OR

    Mother-daughter ring - ( current icon and name ) :

    Pros:

-The Spirit can go through any wall/object ( all types of stairs aren’t affected by this meaning she’ll NOT clip through them and instead go up the stairs ) while phase walking except for the debris around certain tiles ( like the ones in Autohaven wreckers, for example, the cars and whatnot and this applies across all maps that have this ) as these loops tend to be really unsafe against fast-moving killers.

    Cons:

-Decreases movement speed to 136% ( -40% ) and cannot be further stacked with other movement speed-increasing add-ons.

-The Spirit no longer “ passive “ phases.

I don’t really know how these would fare if they ever were implemented. They might be bad or not but it’s fun thinking up add-ons.

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

People still think she is good, clearly she needs another nerf until they learn otherwise.

Oh BHVR said that they would monitor how she “ Fares “ after the nerf that she got three months or so ago, i’m referring to the “ kicking up dust “ part that was originally intended alongside the directional audio cue.

as if she hasn’t been through enough -_- already..

  • Look i get it, going up against an invisible killer ( currently 75% invisible due to emitting a directional audio cue ) doesn’t appeal to many people but can we like admit that what most people complained about ( not necessarily all of us ) was Spirit not having a “ reliable “ telltale of when she Enters phase-walk ( not that she didn’t have any (animation resets) for the keen eye but whatever ) and now she’s got a very clear telltale of being in phase if survivors are 24 meters or less away from her ( and that’s what most people wanted implemented for her and it still doesn’t satisfy them ON TOP OF it being directional but i guess SpIrIT StIlL oP/nO eFFoRT NeeDEd tO PlAY HeR/BRAinDeAd eASy , etc...

look, Spirit was never meant to be reacted to Pre-Nerf and never will be ( unless you’re at a truly uncounterable situation AKA braindead, easy to use god pallets

Spirit was designed in a way that encourages survivors to play proactively and manipulate what the spirit sees/hears and that’s exacerbated by the fact that in-game sounds are buggy and inconsistent as hell

i dont think i can take people seriously when the spirit topic is brought up simply because of the fact that she was never the problem ( old prayer beads spirit definitely was despite it being scary fun lmao “

anyway i just wanted to put it out there.

    stay safe!

    its lag switching

I've seen some one do this recently and they played exactly as the other person describes it. Their ping was fine (~100ms) until you got in chase and all of a sudden they would just disappear right in front of you. It literally turned into a reverse Spirit scenario, where I could tell she was "phasing" as she would be running without leaving scratch marks, this indicated she just started walking off and her hitbox would still be at the location she started the switch as I would collide with it. Just needed to find that and wait a little bit. Since she would always walk she was never far. Caught on to this pretty quick, no haddonfield or cheats is gonna save her dumbass

What are you talking about lmao? Regarding “ Spirit “
