  • maybe not significant but she definitely does need some. But it’s almost guaranteed she won’t get any buffs which is disheartening.

  • @Elan can you elaborate more? I didn’t really get your comment, sorry if this inconveniences you.

  • @MintyHasel

I totally get that the devs intended to remove the unintended upside of the recharge-speed offset—and I’m not asking for that to come back.

The issue now is that cooldown is tied to percentage of bar consumed, and with duration add-ons like Yakuyoke Amulet, that means even a 5-second phase (which is normal duration) results in longer cooldown than it should.

That’s not just a nerf to “longer power use,” it’s a nerf to how efficiently you manage your power, and it punishes you more for using the same amount of power with different add-ons. That’s where the problem lies—not the intent, but the math behind how it scales.

The system would feel much fairer if cooldown penalties only applied when you actually used the extra duration, not just for equipping the add-on.

    • The problem isn’t the removal of the “unintended upside.” It’s that cooldown now scales linearly with total duration, regardless of how much of the power bar you actually used—and that’s the flaw.
    • Fully depleting the bar = Max cooldown, but even small uses of power on longer-duration builds get punished more than they would with default duration.
    • This discourages precision play, where Spirit might intentionally phase for ~5 seconds but gets more cooldown than default even though she used the same amount of power.

If you're referring to the sound similar to what survivors hear, then it's not a bug, it's always been like that. I saw a gameplay with her today and it was normal.

Please do not spread misinformation about Spirit’s Husk ‘s noise ( aside from the constant bones breaking/ “shattering” ) being normal to hear from Spirit’s POV.

Watch old videos of her and you’ll see that it wasn’t the case up until a few months ago….

IMO duration add-ons shouldn't mean longer recharge time.

Just normal recharge speed, and Yamaoka amulet should be : + 50% duration (instead of +70%) and -10% MS (instead of -15%).

I wouldn't go below 13 secs of recharge time basekit, Spirit 1 vs 1 is oppressive enough.

would the Amulet be 2.5s or less than that? I feel like the speed debuff should be completely removed from it tbh , as the cooldown alone is a major downside.

  • Better change would be to make her cooldown take 10 seconds to recharge by default ( if fully used up and obviously less than that if less of it is used ) and if a Spirit player runs a duration add-on, it goes back to 15 seconds and not any longer. And rework ALL recharge add-ons except for Teacup and maybe Uchiwa.

What they did to duration add-ons was really really awful as there was a better way of going about adjusting them.

( making ALL duration add-ons cap at 15s if the power bar is fully used up and making them NOT increase the power recovery speed when the power isn’t fully used up )

This would make duration add-ons viable while also making sure the recharge time is exactly like the recharge time without the duration add-ons ( hope this makes sense as to what i’m trying to say )

I understand! We will check in about it. I may not have an ETA or update when I return, but rest assured we will make sure this is being monitored and under review.

thank you so much! Again, sorry if i caused any disturbance to you!

    Take care :)

  • This bug post is referring to how the husk functions in terms of how its Terror Radius SHOULD affect TR-related perks.

It normally would retain the heartbeat and the auditory TR ( for survs ) but it hasn’t been functioning the way it’s supposed to and just emits no terror radius at all.

The other one affects Spirit only ( the moans/wails of Husk normally only heard by Survs , not Spirit, which is really annoying lol

    @Royval

  • @JocelynAwakens Any update on whether this bug will be ever be fixed? Or has this bug become an intended feature for Spirit?

it has been months since it was reported.

i mean no disturbance to any of the mods on here.

  • Hopefully some buffs to the underwhelming green add-ons of Spirit and maybe reverting how duration add-ons affect the overall power recharge timer.

P.S: LOADS and LOADS of bugs fixed hopefully… :(

clock tower gear add-on reduces movement speed penalty when transforming from bat to wolf, wolf to vampire. i believe it also allow you to m1 faster out of the form.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3802195#Comment_3802195

Traveler's hat is cooldown between transformation. clock tower gear is movement speed penalty between transformations.

i read the both add-ons’ descriptions in-game and it’s as follows:

Clock tower gear → reduces the cooldown of shapeshift ( how often you can use the shape shift ability )

traveler’s hat → how fast you transform into other forms.

that’s what i understood from the wording.

  • @Trickstom said:

You have a 1s ability / movement speed penalty after shapeshift into Vampire or Wolf (Bat does not have this penalty).

The Traveler's Hat addon reduce this penalty by 10% → 0.9s

    It's kinda useless.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3802110#Comment_3802110

You're describing his Clock Tower Gear addon, not the Traveler's hat.

oh! Thank you!! If that’s the case then yeah, pretty negligible sadly…

  • @Devil_hit11 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/427313/traveler-s-hat-dracula

no. the add-on reduces the cooldown between transformations. this used to be 5 seconds. they reduced cooldown to 2.5 seconds. i believe add-on will make you have 2.25 second transformation cooldown.

i’m pretty sure it’s the clock tower gear add-on that you’re referring to and not the traveler’s hat one.

  • Tiffany hands down ( IMO )

  • Agree. Also make an iri for him that allows placed biopods to automatically tag survivors in view. Would be a really good iri

  • @NarkoTri1er said:

an Iri addon for Oni that actually gives him full power gauge right at the beginning of the match.

omg this!!!!! And if survivor players complain ( like they normally do lmao ) just make it so that he can do what he normally does in his power without the insta down for the first blood fury activation. Subsequent power activations will allow him to insta down like normal.

He’d be soo goood, he wouldn’t be reliant on survs making mistakes to get his power lol and i’d imagine this add-on would get banned in comp lol

  • @Blueberry said:

    Dredge

Iri that silences all locker sounds. So the bang of going in and the sound when they open.

    Artist

Iri that causes disturbing crows to swarm you and show you aura for 5 seconds.

    Onryo

Iri that makes TVs appear and sound as if turned off to survivors. (This will also hide the Tape notification telling you where your TV you need to drop your tape at is located). In addition TVs turn on 20 seconds sooner.

    Legion

Iri that makes Deep Wounds also apply Deafened to the survivors until Mended. Additionally, being hit with Frenzy while injured now applies a 10% gen repair speed penalty until healed.

    Freddy

Iri that when the exit gates are powered all survivors are put into the Dream World and unable to wake up for the rest the trial. Additionally, all pallets destroyed during the match are replaced with fake pallets.

    Unknown

Iri that makes hallucination spawning take longer, but now there is no max limit to how many can be spawned on the map.

Iri that reverses their Weakened removal metric. Now looking at The Unknown will slowly replenish the Weakened meter and not looking at him slowly removes it. Time to have Weakened removed is significantly longer.

    Nemesis

Iri that causes zombies within a 32 meter radius to be drawn to survivors currently infected. Additionally, zombies now have increased movement speed based on the amount of survivors currently infected. 25, 50, 75, 100%

    Knight

Iri that allows multiple guards to be sent out simultaneously. Only one guard can Hunt one survivor at a time. Hunt duration and patrol time is also reduced per additional guard sent out.

    Pyramid Head

Iri that makes POTD hits apply Torment.

    Deathslinger

Addon that makes survivors put into the Dying state while speared instantly reloads his Redeemer.

Do you have one for Spirit that would also be really useful? Even if it’s an Iri i wouldn’t mind heheh

I have three but idk how useful they’d be considering the downside:

    • being able to stay in phase-walk indefinitely at the cost of having the phase-walk M/S tremendously decreased from %176 M/S to below %150% M/S or making it a 110% M/S AND ( this effect would only be applied if it’s the 110% M/S ) tremendously decreases the phasing noise range to 8 meters or lower.

Tbh i don’t know if it’d be balanced or not or even worth running but it’s an idea xD

2- Spirit can now go through solid objects ( buildings, pallets, walls, window vaults etc…) but the downside would be:

    • The post-phase speed boost and increased lunge is no longer granted.
    • Decreases the power activation charge speed by 50%.
    • The phasing noise is map-wide and directional from any range. ( isn’t a fixed 24-meter range like how it always been since October of 2021. )
    • can’t be used with any other add-on ( so basically it can’t be paired with her other add-ons. )

I really don’t know if this’ll be balanced or not or if the downsides will balance out the strength of the add-on but it’s an idea at the end of the day.

Last but not least, an add-on that does following:

Spirit’s ethereal form is visible while phasing but would have the following buffs:

    • the phasing noise is silent from anywhere on the trial grounds

    • Fake faint breathing sounds of Spirit ( how it is when she’s normally chasing someone outside phase-walk ) and footstep sounds are heard by survivors either constantly or intermittently to keep them on their toes.

Again, don’t know if it’ll be useful but it’s just an idea i had lol.

Would love to hear your idea on usefully creative add-on ideas for Spirit!

  • @sizzlingmario4 can you post this on the post’s description? :

“when in phase-walk and within a certain range of a survivor, sounds don’t fluctuate in intensity / directionality meaning the audio becomes monaural.

Can you please look into this? I think it affects both consoles and pc.

Also, while you’re at it, can you please look into fixing Spirit’s walking animations? They’ve been bugged since last year’s May or April”

They closed my post for some reason -_-

  • @Blueberry i want some of her add-ons buffed and some qol changes like :

1- The chase music starts dying down when reaching halfway through the power activation part where she does the twitchy hands thing and as a result, by the time she fully charges her power, the chase music is gone. I hope i conveyed what i wanted to say right 😅

2- She should see her own passive phasing just like how survs see her so she can kind of use that for mind gaming purposes.

    Add-on buffs/rework examples:

    1- Mother’s glasses ( rework )

    2- kintsugi teacup ( buff )

3- Uchiwa ( rework ) as it’s heavily dependent on the survivors for it work , they can just pre drop pallets and make it useless

4- Dried cherry blossom ( rework , very uninteresting add-on ) and work on creating accessibility options for both sides without giving more advantage to players with normal hearing , just something that hard of hearing players can work with.

    5- Wakizashi saya ( rework )

6- revert the changes made to duration add-ons, super unnecessary -_-

Also, omg hiii!!! My fav blueberry 🫐😂

  • tbh it’s BHVR and the community’s fault. Had they opted to make the game hook-oriented, none of this madness would have taken place.

i think it came from the MDR+Purple amulet combo. I would make her kintsugi Teacup refresh the power cooldown on successful hits and increase her base m/s by 15% so that she is 7.1 in the ability. Spirit is too slow at downing survivors when she successfully lands her ability. She has chucky cooldown syndrome problem now.

If they wanted to make her good vs best players, remove her directional sound audio in addition would make her more difficult to loop.

Omg so like Kintsugi teacup would increase her haunting speed from 176% to 191% AND would fully replenish the power upon successful hits?! That would be so gooood

  • Everything i agree with except for the proposed power activation charge speed, and should be given an overall faster power recovery speed at base without having to run a recovery add-on. She needs duration and recovery to keep up in chase and for map traversal.

It really sucks that duration add-ons increase the power cooldown time -_- the purple duration add-on has a 25 second long cooldown to it when it’s fully used, can you imagine? Like…hello?!

  • @ShinobuSK said:

She is fine. Buff Yakuyoke amulet or what its called cause its weakest purple add on in the game from last nerf

Omg this! I really wish they’d removed the speed debuff but oh well. If they do decide buffing or reworking it, i hope it turns out actually good and not the “ inflicts x status effect or make survivors scream bullshit”

  • No. Improve on the heartbeat icon and make it have that “haze” effect as if it’s a lullaby and have it grow bigger or smaller in size the closer or further she is with a tiny arrow that points to the general direction she’s in that isn’t precise, This is all. People without a hearing impairment already have this info when wearing a headset so it’s no big deal.

As for the killer side, maybe make the scratch marks brighter by default?

  • Happy anniversary Gann! Here’s to many more 🤗

  • you should post this in the “bug reporting” section of the forums. I hope this gets addressed because from the sound of it, it doesn’t sound pleasant at all. I mean i main Spirit so i have no idea how blight works 100% but when the sounds don’t work properly which is most of the time….i know the feeling.

anyway hope you enjoy the event! And don’t listen to those who claim he’s oP and whatnot, jeez it’s like the Spirit debate 2 years ago it’s annoying 🙄

  • 1- Spirit’s furin add-on should be omnidirectional.

Her directional whooshing noise should be really vague for healthy and survivors equipped with iron will. Injured survivors hear the whooshing noise the same as it is now.

2- revert the changes made to duration add-ons and replace MDR’s downside with something else as it’s not justifiable being there anymore.

3- punish short bursting by making the power cooldown take longer to recharge but reward accurate long phases followed by a hit ( phasing around the map will not count )

idk if i have more i’ll write them here 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m surprised that the sounds are good for you but happy for you that the sounds work smoothly for you, btw did you go into the game’s files and changed/modified the sounds by any means? Lol I was just gonna write the same thing. Please no alc ring for Spirit <3

Did i forget to mention that if you perform a lunge attack or if it’s not an instant hit ( meaning delayed hit ) that the add-on wouldn’t work and would instead deplete the entire power gauge regardless of how much of it you used? That would balance it out and it definitely wouldn’t be alchemist ring’s level of strength.

Right and I appreciate that, but you do understand why I say it would be too strong on a Spirit, not necessarily you, who wants to slug, right? That's the only issue I could really see with it. People like to play like tools to ruin the game for other people, so I could see an add-on like the one you described being used for that reason.

Sucks that certain members of the community act in such a way that we have to think like this, but I mean... here we are.

Yeah i get you it’s so sad really, there would be addons that would be fun and interesting to run if it weren’t for the players who use them for toxic reasons🙄

  • @sizzlingmario4 said:

That might work because it would reward using the power well, but again I think it would make slugging too strong.

As much as I hate deep wound as a mechanic, I feel like the only way an instant power recharge add-on would work is if the first hit while injured would induce deep wound instead of going into the dying state.

So another downside to the add-on would be to apply deep wound every single time a survivor is injured before being able to be downed the next time they are hit? So basically two downsides one being depleting the whole power if Spirit fails to land a hit IMMEDIATELY or lunges and the other applying deep wound every time an injured survivor is hit before they can be downed. Am i getting this right? If so, then i don’t think it would. Be too bad honestly as my play style is to always land instant accurate hits post-phase and i’d get to traverse the map thanks to the add-on

  • @Gandor said:

@ProudRinMain Change the distance to 20m instead of 24m. In this distance do not show any que but regular footsteps (maybe moving grass) - this way spirit can play semi-stealthy. It's still skillful, because she needs to be out of LoS and can't just know to go to gen (because gen sound distance is shorter), but she can still surprise survivors from time to time (especially if they are around something loud - like said generator)

But wouldn’t Spirit players use the stand still trick since there’d be no audio cue for when she enters phase? ( there’s a way to know that she’s phasing tho by looking at how her animations jerkily change stances. )

  • @Gandor said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3524912#Comment_3524912

You should have seen Ayrun play MDR+amulet spirit. He was toying with survivors so badly (and I am talking both pub games and KYF). Sure - this was pre-nerf version, but with that build I am totally convinced blight and nurse were weaker. And this is not just Ayrun. I saw comp players. Hack I even saw what my incompetent (in comparison to them) hands can do with it.

Sure - I am talking specifically MRD+amulet+skilled hands with good headset. But that thing was so nasty, that sorry - the comparison with blight 100% works (thankfully those addons are nerfed - but we are right now talking about buffing 1 of those back. So careful).

Anyway, What about your Furin change idea? I didn’t honestly get it. But about buffing the amulet, sure it would be stronger than it currently is but the long ass cooldown would still be there so that balances it out )

  • @Gandor said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3524898#Comment_3524898

You having some build does not mean everyone will play it like that. You still need to think about overall outcome the proposed thing has - otherwise we will have another blight with lower skill floor

I mean i do like the extra 3.5 seconds of duration the amulet gives but if the speed debuff was outright removed i would be okay with reducing the total duration to 2s instead of the current one ( still would like the 3.5 seconds but oh well ) and it would be pair nicely with the yellow duration or MDR but my gosh the cooldown would be so long with the other duration as it’s already long on its own😅

  • @Gandor said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3524898#Comment_3524898

You having some build does not mean everyone will play it like that. You still need to think about overall outcome the proposed thing has - otherwise we will have another blight with lower skill floor

Spirit can’t be compared to Blight as she doesn’t get downs as fast as he can. She doesn’t recharge her power as quickly as he does. She has to stop to charge her power whereas blight just rushes at a survivors not losing any distance and bumping into an obstacle then getting a hit quickly. He moves at old MDR movement speed by default for 5 rushes whereas Spirit moves at a lower speed for 5 seconds while blind being susceptible to constant weird audio bugs

  • @Gandor said:

Furin is bad right now, but would be too much in OP's version. Just mute her ability-sounds if she starts her ability from 20m or more from survivor and let her have footsteps. That will make her be able to jump survivors on gens (but good survivors would know if she wants to jump them while say healing).

As for amulet - the downside is indeed too much and can be removed - but by doing so the bonus amulet provides would also be too much. Make it 40% instead of 70% (so +2s instead of +3.5s), or slow down her ability by only somewhere between -5% and -10% (I can't say exact number as I haven't tried the effect myself - but current version feels worse then empty perk slot)

You mean make it silent when Spirit starts phasing within a 20-meter radius of a survivor? Wouldn’t that be basically old Spirit that everyone complained about? I’d personally be fine with with it but just pointing that out.

at least make it decrease the range at which the directional audio is heard so Spirit can get closer to a survivor without giving away location early. ( the phasing noise would still be heard still. )

  • @thisislastyearsmodel said:

Removing passive phasing is not an equal downside to being able to instantly recharge your power and go for someone else. This would make slugging Spirit incredibly unfun to face.

you know what, how about making the downside be about depleting the power bar fully if Spirit fails to hit a survivor IMMEDIATELY post-phase or if she lunges? That would make it a high risk, high reward add-on and make it an iridescent.

it would require you to be very precise in your phases and not just short bursting aimlessly hoping to get a hit by any means.

i dont know i just want a fun add-on for once 😭 anything, i’m not a toxic Spirit main i play fair and give everyone a chance my build is literally Beast of prey, Distressing, Hex: thrill of the hunt and lethal pursuer.it’s basically a build around getting blood points. And they could rework Dried cherry blossom so it wouldn’t be paired with it for easy hits.

  • @EternalHails said:

@ProudRinMain sorry for off topic but I wanted to ask you as an experienced rin. I didn't start playing this game long ago, but I was lucky enough to play the previous Rin. with the new Rin it became harder to approach the survivor and I didn't understand why. but thanks to you I realized that the thing is that the principle of hissing has been changed... do you think an addon called Furin will help to confuse the survivor? thank you😘

sadly running the Furin add-on would be a waste as it still lets survivors know you’re approaching them directionally when you enter a 24-meter radius of a survivor. So it basically goes from being omnidirectional to directional. What a dumb addon sigb

  • @CatnipLove said:

They could reduce the cooldown and reduce her movement speed to balance it out. That would make her power available more often whilst not buffing her overall.

I don’t think reducing her movement speed is a good idea as it’s already slow as it is. Look at the speed debuff the purple amulet gives, it makes Spirit really really bad. We’re trying to make her 176% more viabke and usefu.

but thanks for your input :)

P.S: remember that Spirit has a constant pinpoint accurate directional phasing noise and really good survivors rarely if at all fall for the “ go one way then quickly go the other way “ method.

If Spirit’s directional phasing noise was made omnidirectional or ( silent , this one could be an iri and would only work in the terror radius ) , i wouldn’t be asking for any of this as that change alone makes her a threat because she’d be truly unpredictable.

  • Not necessarily but in my case I’m confident that i’m pretty good with Spirit. I won’t be gaslit into thinking that i’m doing something wrong with Spirit when the problem lies with the constant nerfs to her and sound bugs. 🤷🏼‍♀️

If you're saying that you're having trouble as Spirit with map pressure then you're doing something wrong. I'm sorry but this sounds like a genuine skill issue. I would buff every single killer in the game except two [Nurse/Blight] before I buffed Spirit.

Who are you to tell me how to play Spirit when i’ve been playing her exclusively since late 2019? This isn’t a case of me playing bad, it’s just Spirit doesn’t have enough to keep up with all the nerfs and compensation she didn’t get in return.

    Better keep dreaming.

Just use the buffed cooldown add-ons if you want that reduced cooldown.

They were buffed for a reason in the same patch that nerfed her other add-ons.

It still isn’t enough. Her map presence sucks without duration addons and considering those got unjustly nerfed, i’d say what i proposed is only fair.

  • @Gandor said:

This is about as absurd, as demanding base survivor speed for survivor be 115% (4.6m/s), because that's just QOL after they took so much from survivors (real infinite loops, permanent hook sabotages, literal instant heal and insta repair, double window at shack, hatch escape for all 4 survivors and so on) from the inception of the game.

Spirit is still one of the best killers in game. She needs no buffs. If we are talking buffs - let's talk meyers (minus his OP addons), Freddy, Trapper, maybe clown or pig. But absolutely not spirit (or blight or nurse)

i’m just going to have to agree to disagree. In my opinion the comparison you made makes no sense as survivors are extremely strong when played well whereas Spirit even if played well has limits and restrictions and gives way too much information.

As a Spirit main, she may need a more accurate spatial audio, but no buff at all. She's fine as she is right now.

It’s absurd how pinpoint accurate the directional phasing noise is for survivors and bug-free whereas Spirit has to listen unbelievably hard just to be able to hear the quietest noises…

She is the 3rd strongest killer in the game, she needs nothing to keep up in chase, she moves at 176% ms without addons, even if survivors know where she is she can just force them around the loop one way and then change directions and catch them before they reach the pallet or the vault, when using her power in chase the duration/recovery really didn't add much to how fast she would get the hit at a tile but only how long she had to wait after that.

As for the map pressure, she gets downs really fast, that's more than enough, there is no reason to give her blights map traversal or something else ridiculous like that.

They have nerfed MDR + Amulet because it was completely broken to the point of being probably one of the top 3-5 strongest addons in the game, there is no reason to get anything for nerfing such a absurdly broken addon, despite the nerf she is still the 3rd best killer in the game, so why would we need to give her anything?

The 176% doesn’t mean anything when survivors just keep holding forward not to mention you have to account for the hit recovery time as well as the headstart a survivor gets when they are hit AND the activation part of her power. You’re over exaggerating her strengths, she is no where near as good as she once was.
