WHO WANTS TO START A PETITION TO BRING BACK THE LOL BUTTONI gave you an awesome instead.
does not alert me when you quote me, but when I am not quoted it does
Thats because sometimes when you quote, markdown messes up and doesnt properly recognise quotes (so it doesnt add a @person said proprly, so you arent notified). I have to manually fix it most of the time.

This is BHVR so they either won't listen or will only listen halfway and make the wrong changes
Like, instead of adding the LOL button, they add a "That made me laugh, not being sarcastic" button that covers half of the screen?

Its there so Killers wont carry you to the basement every single time. Its also there for Survivors to bodyblock hooks and add to the wiggle bar (and in some cases escape).
Basically, wiggling isnt meant to grant you a second chance all the time. Its there just to balance things out.

I heavily disagree with some of these reviews, honestly.
As someone who praises Myers so much, I find it hard to believe that a perk like M&A is just "ok" for you.
Lithe is not the worst exhaustion perk, thats Dead Hard. Alert is probably one of the most underrated perks. And Technician is strong for new players and stealth players.
Leatherface isnt mid tier, he is low tier.
Pharmacy >> Self Care, and does more than it. Does wonders when used with Botany Knowledge. Vigil is still a rather underrated perk (not amazing, but not absolute #########).
Pig not being recommended is somewhat of an opinion, though it is fair if you dont like RNG stuff. With her recent changes and overall stalling, she isnt low tier (she never was). She is a consistent mid tier at least. Her power isnt awful whatsoever. Also, Surveillance isnt "not that bad anymore", its pretty much one of the best defence perks in the game right now, and makes high mobility Killers almost gods.
I do however strongly agree on Shattered Bloodline being the best DLC right now.

As Orion said, definitely The Entity. However, each Killer and Survivor are the protagonists of their own chapters.

Make it a timer for the first and second tiers, then apply the rework to the third one.NuclearBurrito said:What would the first 2 tiers be?

Someone plz explain that you can only grab an injured surv vaulting (but not in healthy status) and the rest of grab conditions/actions, thxsYou can only grab a Survivor if they are injured while:
- Vaulting a pallet
- Vaulting a window
You can grab a Survivor regardless of the health state while:
- They are doing generators
- They are cleansing totems
- They open exit gates
- They go inside a locker
- They attempt to leave through the hatch
-
To be fair, Spirit, like Doc, also benefits from larger terror radius, outside of very specific builds.
In any case, its not happening. They are head on focused on keeping it consistent with movement speed, which isnt too bad either.
-
Her power description should state (it doesnt) that while you remain inside her husk's terror radius (yes, her TR remains where her husk is) you wont hear her phasing sound. What Prayer Beads does is remove the phasing sound OUTSIDE of her TR (the only time you are supposed to hear it). If you are not hearing the TR, then it might just be your headphones/speakers being too low (though the phasing sound is fairly noticeable) or she was close enough for her TR to be in range but rather faint.
-
What about Legions who use Feral Frenzy to land a first hit on Survivors but use the reminder of their meter to bodyblock pallets or windows and shut down loops?
-
From level 1 to 46 you will have enough to get 9,000 shards. For an additional 9,000 shards, you will need to get to level 77. By the time you get your first Devotion (level 100), you will end up with 6,900. From there on, it depends on what your Devotion level is and what amount of shards you have.
So, in most cases, you will unlock two characters per Devotion, and sometimes three. -
I unlocked Legion just today, so this thread had perfect timing. I was aiming for Discordance, Bamboozle, BBQ and M&A anyway.
-
I have no sympathy for a 4-person SWF with DS. Sorry. Much less after you causing a hatch standoff.

It would be interesting, how ever I don't see it becoming a thing as there are no current achievements using specific perks besides the "Adept" achievements. But we do have achievements using specific add-ons, namely the infamous Evil Incarnate one. And Where Did They Go? requires keys, and the "Kill by your hand" achievements require either a perk or offering.

I love the changes, it actually makes Unbreakable a better perk than DS unless the killer has a mori.Quick question, what's the green perk icon in the background? Windows of Opportunity? Autodidact? Or a new perk?
Its Diversion.

Honestly, blinding the Killer from another side of a pallet is a huge waste of time.

Killers tunnel. This is a way to counter it. DS needs a weakspot and a niche instead of a get out of jail free card. This also motivates killers to not tunnel because then survivors will actually be able to use their DS if they do. It's a win win.if you get instantly tunneled off hook and dont move you dont get to use it. even if you make it a little ways they'll just dribble you back
its a lose most of the time, win some perk. They said they wanted to prevent dribbling, so I think the skillcheck happens as you are being picked up. That way you wont get put back on the hook so easily.
-
I like it as well. Dynamically changing the Obsession is something really interesting. Maybe we will see more about it in the future, which is exciting. If the Obsession changes midway through the match, that might mean we will be getting reworked Obsession perks (as said by Scorpio, Dying Light is an interesting case if this happens), which I am definitely up for.
-
Yes, and a "skill" completely useless because it doesnt matter seeing their auras if you hit them with a gas cloud. There are no walls in the game that are long enough to make you say "Oh, I should have gone the other way!". Maybe Lery's, but you cant throw through those walls without expansion add-ons.Shad03 said:@PigNRun said:
Might not be the worst, but another useless add-on is the Tattooed Finger for Clown. It has no drawbacks, but its an ultra rare and does absolutely nothing at all.I mean, it gives aura reading. Which is useful for exactly 0.1% of the Clown players whomst can nail a bottle throw across a wall.

I dont understand why Lightweight and Urban Evasion should be different. They trigger through the entire game with no prerequisites whatsoever, while Iron Will requires you to be injured. I see no reason for that.

If I use Haunted Ground on Freddy, what would that make me?

To be fair, if you lose Survivors during chases often, Insidious on Freddy is ratheer effective.

There is however a cap for Kindred's range increase though. I think it stops after 2 or 3 Open-Handed.

It does make sense and it's also needed, since the perk is pretty useless and agitation is superior.Iron Grasp (increased wiggle) with Brutal Strength (breaking stuff faster).

As the last Survivor alive, I would think that when people said "Look for the hatch", they meant a type of hatchet hidden somewhere on the map that you could use to injure/kill the Killer.
-
Shirtless Frank, pls.
-
The thing is, Iron Maiden's true purpose is not the Exposed effect. Its the notification itself.
-
True best combination: Nurse + Doctor
You have the strongest Killer in the game and remove her one weakness; stealth. -
I suppose the main deal here is that when you crate a licensed character, you are sticking to specific characteristics from whatever universe those characters came from. For instance, you cant have Freddy without Dream World, or Leatherface without a chainsaw. Pig is definitely the one with the biggest creativity freedom, and she is either the best or second best out of all licensed ones.George_Soros said:Just a side note, but I always wondered, why is it that the licensed killers are all lower tiers, and only the original ones make it to the top.
Not saying I suspect some sinister, hidden agenda from the devs. But still, odd.
There is also the fact that licensed characters are designed to draw in new people. They make them special and fun, and focus on that aspect, rather than making them effective. Its the thought process they also go with original characters, but its most likely amplified for licensed ones.
We can also look at each case individually:
+ Myers: First licensed DLC. They had to make a good impression. Not to mention its the most known horror franchise out of all, other than Friday the 13th.
+ Leatherface: Rushed DLC because time constraints. Ended up creating a low tier Killer from the start. Not to mention the least popular franchise.
+ Freddy: Decent at the start, but turned into low tier because of the review bombs and unnecessary QQ. At least they promised this would never happen again.
+ Pig: The second most popular franchise, maybe? (Unless Nightmare on Elm Street has a bigger fanbase) A decent Killer through its existence and recently getting better. We can all appreciate how good this DLC was in terms of new content. -

Perk wise, Hag is the better option due to Hex: Ruin alone. Hag is also a bit better killer than Clown is. Both are solid options, but unless you REALLY like Clown..Hag is a better option due to having Ruin and being a slightly better killer. Why do you think she's a better killer?
She is (pretty much) unanimously considered one of the top 5 (or 4, personally) Killers. She has great potential to cut down loops (though Clown can do this as well) and her builds are usually the deadliest ones (Rusty Shackles + Mint Rag + Make Your Choice, to mention one). Clown is really good and underestimated by a good portion of the community, but he lacks map pressure more than Hag. Basically, they are both powerful, but Hag has higher potential.

Dark Souls games are more frustrating than hard. Its not the bad kind of frustration, its a the kind that still makes you retry sections. The games are about learning the ways to tackle them with repetition. If I were to suggest one, I would say Dark Souls 3 is the best one, more polished and beginner friendly. The only problem is dont expect to understand the story or get the full experience without having played the previous two.

This only works against dumb survivors. I've seen killers try this and I've never fallen for it or see someone else fall for it.However I do have a good alternate use for Insidious and it's on Spirit. Since one of her big mindgames is to stand still you can use Insidious while it looks like you are phase walking to screw with survivors. You have to use Prayer Beads with it, but I found that when you phase walk Insidious still procs on the husk. So if you stand still for about a second before using phase walk, the husk will gain Insidious while you are moving around. I've messed around with this and it can be very effective but it's not easy to do. I want to experiment more with it at some point in the near future.
Doesnt Insidious lose its effect when using/charging your power?
-
Honestly, it is not nearly as common as it used to be. In the past 4 months, I have only seen it happen twice (one of which was after a real match). In any case, I dont mind. If people dont want to farm, they can just leave after generators are completed.
-
Then LEARN. Noobs are noobs because they dont know. Then they learn, and, surprise surprise, they stop being noobs (or less than what they were).PubStar87 said:And byvthe way, everyone keeps talking to me as if I don't know these things.
I do.
Noobs don't, noobs die fast, now it's 1v1 with 5 gens to go
Real fun match -
The problem with this kind of perks, notifying the Killer of Survivors doing anything other than generators and Hex totems, are extremely situational. And even if implemented, it will be ignored by players because of it. Just look at Iron Maiden.
-
I want an add-on for Leatherface that allows him to throw his chainsaw through a window or pallet, hitting the Survivors on the other side.
-
It doubles the efficiency of Pharmacy if used along with it.
-
So, we have a Meg, a Joey with an alternative outfit, a Claudette trying to hide, a Jake in the back staring into nothing and on the far left the Survivor for the next chapter.Spencer said:

The only way to accomplish what you desire; the invention of a special technology that allows players to erase all memories related to a game, so that you can enjoy it as a first time noob.
Seriously though, that is the only way. The horror is lost the more you play. You cant fight against it, its human nature. Just like listening to a song nonstop until the tunes which originally would send goosebumps down your spine stop doing it. You COULD say jumpscare killers, like T1 Myers, silent Wraith, Hag's traps, Miss Piggies or Spirit, can sometimes make you jump (it has happened to me), but that is as far as you can go.
I really wish the technology I mentioned above existed, you know? I would happily replay my favourite story-based games endlessly. -

Maybe because your suggestion affects Killers as well? Just a guess. Slugging is the only counter to the hatch, until they give it a proper fix/rework. Expect people to disagree if it affects them.

Currently it's heavily abused already by people just DC'ing to give the hatch. Why it is so important to have 4k and not the last survivor getting the hatch? If you find the the guy before he finds the hatch good if not he leaves and you move on the next game. You even get 2 pip even if last one escapes through hatch. So why slug and take 3 people’s time?
P.s. I am genuinely curious no sarcasm or salt intended. Its a game. Everyone is entitled to play it and enjoy it as much as they want as long as its not hacking. Getting a 4k can be really satisfying for several people. So, why not work towards that instead of being happy with lower expectations? Its definitely a very subjective thing, because everyone expects different stuff from a match. The socially appropriate thing to do would be not to criticise someone just because their fun objectives in a game are different than yours (not you specifically, just in general).

I actually prefer the current versions of Remember Me, Blood Warden and Pharmacy (this last one being on my builds 60% of the time). The only thing I would change about Blood Warden is the effect refreshing whenever you hook a Survivor.
As for Vigil, recover Exhaustion while running is not something I really want on this perk. Just because the whole point of the perk is not something that has to do with it. I would much rather it also included Exposed effect (your alternative idea).
I do like your suggestion for Wake Up. This type of "trade off" perks. The problem is generator speed. With so many current focusing on it, I feel iffy about it. Granted, its like a reverse Resilience, but with more generous numbers. -
You didnt add the Freddy rework/Cube because its not happening, am I right? :PFayeZahara said:

I really like Boomers. One person gets zerged by zombies and stuff goes south so fast. Yay, chaos!
As for humans, I dont really like any. One thing I will say, they are dumb. They kill a Smoker, go through its cloud and start coughing. Why the hell dont you just hold your stupid breath for 5 seconds?! Are your lungs that bad?

Back when Last Year was released, I would try to explain people the game comparing it to White Noise, but for some reason I would confuse the title with Dying Light (no idea why). When I saw it pop up in this thread, it kinda made me feel better about myself as someone might have also got both mixed up...
...unless someone actually meant to compare both of them.
