I love it when people realise Surveillance true power.
-
It is sad. I was about to P2 (and then P3) my Legion, but then the changes got announced. I guess my Frank will forever remain at P1-50. :<
-
Sometimes I just cleanse to make the game interesting, because M1 Killers are boring to deal against.
-
Lol, didnt see that one. Seems to be taken from the Player Satisfaction survey. There was a question in which you were asked how often you attended to public events, I think?
-
I think you should pay for the DLC whose Killer you will enjoy playing. If you are getting a character just for their perks, just unlock them with shards.
-
The problem is the following. Notice how the ones with the lowest kill ratio are the least played Killers (outside of Legion... maybe?). Less matches used as sample means bad matches are amplified, because people who play him are those who are doing it for a daily just once or trying him out (and failing), morr than those who understand how to actually play him.
Clown is a simple Killer to get into, but way more complicated to use to his full potential. A good Clown with appropriate perks is deadly. Definitely not saying he doesnt need buffs, he definitely does, but his potential is way higher than whats shown here.
Plague is a combination of both cases. She has so many counters and is also played a lot less than the average. She is also still fairly new (especially from the Survivor perspective).
-
Hopefully it doesnt. I want to enjoy Legion just a bit more before it gets gutted. :<

So far that is just an urban legend til someone from DBD crew confirms so
I know how to mod Feng with x3 boobs size with my plastic surgery software
Its not an urban legend, its a disclaimer they have pointed out several times. You can mod, but at your own risk. If EAC catches you and you get banned for it, they wont assist you with that, despite of how harmless the mod was. That doesnt mean you cant mod at all though, as EAC is set not to check certain directories or files. That is why it is highly unlikely to get banned for modding character portraits or perk icons. However, anything more game changing than that, such as 3D models, will probably get you banned.

They are fixed on the PTB, so until the mid-chapter patch hits live servers, they will remain unfixed.

As far i know IRON WILL still trumps stridor, though it shouldve been reversed a long time ago.
It doesnt. Stridor increases breathing/grunting and Iron Will reduces it.

the Battle pass type question, Tournament modes, Leaderboards, all pushing more towards a competitive scene, for example like with Rocket league lots seem to think they will offer the game for free on Epic Games store and just stick to the battle pass loot boxes as form of income. we already know Epic Games is approaching game companies that have high reviews on steam and player base to try to get them on board.
All stuff they promised or commented about way before the Epic Games store even existed, except for the Battle Pass thing.
-
Not exactly the thing you requested, but this is something on the PTB right now. By selecting Clown, Spirit, Legion or Plague, their chapter's music will replace the background music. I forgot to check if it also happened with Survivors.
-
All of Adam's perks are solid. I would unlock him not only for Deliverance, but for Autodidact and Diversion as well.
Now, I always struggle hard when choosing between cosmetics and functionality. Usually, I just do the opposite of what I did the previous time. Like, cosmetic, then new character, then cosmetics again, and so on.
-
I am actually surprised Ruin is used more than BBQ (even if difference is minimal). But it makes sense as Ruin has been way more available.
-
Vietfox was the guy that used "OMEGALUL" a lot with the Feng profile picture, right?
-
Im a bit confused. You mentioned "Keeping the speed boost". Do you intend to keep the immunity for hits? If not, why specify that?
But, anyway, if they changed MoM's effect to what you are suggesting, you will have to remove the Obsession status from it. For instance, STBFL, as the Obsession, it is better to get hit by the Killer as you make them lose stacks. And with PWYF or Remember Me, you just made the ENTIRE perk impossible to make use of as Killer (unless you make it like Distortion and make it have tokens).

@Judith said:
Did they changed it or it's me? I can hear my grunts while I am injured a little bit and that never happened before.
Can the killer hear me too?
They changed it a while ago. Lower tiers used to require you to stand still to trigger Iron Will. They removed the "standing still" condition and made it "grunts reduced by x%", and the percentage changes depending on the tier. Unless you have Iron Will 3 and still hear grunts, in which case the Killer has Stridor.
-
@Peasant is right...
Kate should definitely be the one on top.
-
Dodging may not be the answer, but punishing it isnt it either. Until they fully address balance, you are punishing people for avoiding matches which they know they wont enjoy.
If you punish people for dodging, these people wont say "Ok, I guess I will go in...". They will either swap to Survivor or not log in anymore. THIS will make queue times worse.
-
After the past two chapters, Evil Crap, and the last PTBs, I am a bit more reluctant to spend money on them. So, most likely I wont. Unless they start releasing some quality chapters.

It would be much easier to just remove perk tiers, cuz this wouldn't involve to rework the bloodweb and entity consumption
I would much rather they didnt remove perk tiers. I like seeing different tiers as it gives a sense of personal improvement. Not to mention we currently dont have enough perks to keep at least a decent balance between grindy and balanced.
Honestly, the bloodweb is perfect as it is and needs no changes. The only needed adjustment would be to implement the 2-perk per bloodweb idea.

Hopefully, never.

ok use billy or huntress hatchets. GIT GUDD
I paid for Pig, I paid for Freddy, I paid for Clown, I paid for Doctor, I paid for Spirit. Are you telling me I cant use the characters I paid for, built up from zero, trained myself to use, to counter a single Survivor perk? Instead I have to use characters I dont enjoy playing at all? Might as well tell me to uninstall.
-
Jeez, guys. 46 notifications. What the hell have you been up to?
-
I gave you an Awesome.
-
Average time it takes a hex totem to be cleansed. In the case of multiple hex totems in a match, just take the first one cleansed. NOED should maybe be ignored.
-
I sometimes use the basement in the Killer Shack. :P The tree has never worked for me. The drop never seems to be high enough for it to trigger it.

Okayy - but then we need a replacement for Wraith's Teachable! Any ideas?
Remove Shadowborn and make Unrelenting his teachable instead. It literally has his weapon in the icon.
-
You are all forgetting the fact that unmasked characters are something you are not meant to see. If they release unmasked cosmetics, they would have a lot more work put onto them and making them pretty good looking.
-
What does a perk that destroy hooks after being unhooked have to do with a concept of perk that gives you additional BP and/or aura reading?
-
I approve. I have another suggestion. For every thousand DCs, Exhaustion perks lose a 1% movement speed globally.

@Speckled_unicorn said:
ALSO if you're the last survivor, and the killer closes the hatch, can it be reopened? Because if the hatch is closed, and the gens are blocked, theres LITERALLY no way to escape as last player.
No. If you are the last Survivor alive, the hatch spawns. If the hatch is closed by the Killer, generators are blocked and exit gates are powered and Endgame Collapse begins. At that point, your escape is opening an exit gate and running out. You can, however, reopen the hatch with a key (but you would need to be lucky on getting it from a chest or having brought it in with you from the start).
-
@twistedmonkey said:
Because a perk should be something to aid you in game and not be necessary.
Remember the egc only kicks in once the gates are open after the gens are done and it's only 5 seconds less so it won't change much in that scenario.
It's not like it was used a lot before this change and nobody was complaining on the forum about it.
Why the sudden change of heart from eveyone? Is it because its a nerf or simply because you realised how strong it would be in the hatch scenario?
Thats exactly the point why people are disappointed at the approach for Remember Me. It was a perk rarely used (except for endgame builds) and weak outside such builds. And they straight up nerfed it to avoid a very specific case (which even then it can be questionable...), instead of actually thinking a way to make it work.
Probably the best suggestion I have seen so far is one (I dont remember who, sorry, you random person) in which the Obsession changes when the hatch is closed, or the last Survivor alive isnt affected by the perk. There, you keep the fun and only power of the perk without nerfing it into oblivion, while also preventing that very specific case.
-
Ever since the latest update, you require to double pip with the Killer's perks to unlock their respective adept achievement. Using moris will actually cripple your chances because you need more than just hooking every Survivor once.
Currently, its very difficult. Hopefully developers modify these achievements.

@PigNRun true but, if you have three kills then you’ve already won. You could win this scenario with one more person but just one alone is nearly impossible. Your situation can go either way depending on if the survivors attempt a hook rescue, assuming you got at least one of the four survivors on the hook.
I dont see what you are trying to say. There are situations in which you wont win (lets not go into the old "What is winning?" debate...) because odds are against you. Whether thats because of luck (totem, door or tiles placement) or skill (good Killer/Survivor), it doesnt matter.
We can also apply that same logic the other way round. You, as Survivor, lost already. The Killer killed your other 3 Survivors, found the hatch before you, closed it and is using the most optimal way to keep watch over the gates. You lost, why do you need to be rewarded with an escape? The hatch was never considered a "win", because its only purpose is for the last Survivor not to DC. Now that the Killer can close the hatch, they need another incentive for that; Endgame Collapse.

A 3 minute EGC does not provide enough time to open a gate, and keep getting interrupted trying to hide from the killer, once you hit one or two red lights the killer isn't stupid and will know you are nearby and likely get a chase off if not catching you right away. Even if you somehow manage to escape the killer, no time to finish gate and killer knows where you are going.
#1. Kills by the entity should NOT count as normal sacrifices for the killer. The entity has to do all the work, if the killer gets anything I say DC bonus level of BP.
#2. I understand devs wanting to incorporate hatch closing into the game after investing assets toward that, BUT this is not the way it is, it provides a Stupid easy kill for the killer, even without NOED.
#3. I love EGC, but it is SUPER strong for killer and survivors are just dead. My advice? EGC only activates If the killer activates it, either by opening a gate, or by closing a hatch - hatch can only be closed if a gate is opened.
#4. Aside from visual astetics, I really don't understand the purpose of blocking gens in EGC. They will either be completed already if Survivors powered doors, or they will not, if 3 are dead and killer closes hatch. I fully expect the generators to not be blocked in an upcoming update so that if the killer closes the hatch, the last survivor could potentially complete a gen, and that would cause the hatch to reopen, or respawn open in a new location perhaps. That would allow a little counterplay as killers won't know for sure if survivors are trying to open doors or complete gens, the more things the killer is checking, gives the last survivor a slim chance to escape.
I dont think you understand what the Endgame Collapse's objective is. Its not a "free kill", its simply a measure to prevent Survivors from not leaving the match once they have already won by opening the Exit Gates and to prevent unnecessarily lengthy matches as the last Survivor, while also dealing with the long time issue the hatch has always been. Its still a bit of a bandaid fix for that last one, in my opinion, but something is something.
The only times a Survivor will be killed by the Endgame Collapse is when they have been taking the match hostage or the Killer has already won the kills the EGC gives them (remaining 2 whole minutes with the Exit Gates opened or successfully defending the gates). Imagine if all Survivors who would die to the endgame were downed instead. Where would the Killer place them? On the hook. Those deaths counting as sacrifices simply speeds up the process. Likewise, the Killer gets the respective amount of BP/emblem points for doing so.
As for the generators being blocked, thats simply because of the hatch-closing mechanic. I will give you an example that happened to me some months ago during the Moonrise event. I was playing Clown against 4 Survivors. I had killed 3 of them and the hatch opened. Since I thought "Oh, ok. I got what I needed. I will let the Claudette get the hatch", I just stood around somewhere and played around with my bottles (like trying to throw bottles to the top of the foundry building in Ironworks of Misery). A gen gets powered after several minutes. I looked for her, and couldnt find her (typical immersed Claudette). So, I basically had to patrol all remaining generators to tell her "I wont let you farm, get the hatch so I can get on another match". After fully regressing all of them, she finally got the message and left.
Moral of the story; dont waste someone else's time. Generators are blocked because there is no reason to do them. Gates are powered, time is running out. Escape or die. Your Objective points are what you did up to that point.

I am overall annoyed by Survivors claiming "DCing against Legion is fine", because its a big hypocrisy. You know what isnt fun? SWF, looping, losing hex totems within the first seconds of the start, second chance perks or the overall stance from the developers about "Killers being too oppressive on Survivors".
Legion was fine how it was before the PTB. "Breaking the Survivors' defences" my ass. The only needed changes were the Deep Wound timer not going down within the TR and the blade add-ons exploit.
I suppose DCing against those types would be "okay". But, the truth is, those are the big minority of the cases. People just have double standards in which "I cant have fun because I dont want to change my playstyle, but you cant have fun either". I hate going against Wraiths, but that doesnt mean I will DC if I get one of those.
-
They talked about this during the stream. Lets say it happens the other way round. You get The Game map, in which both exists are on opposite sides of the map. How do you win in this scenario with 1 Survivor left during Endgame Collapse as Killer?
Basically, its rare for that to happen. Sometimes it will favour the Killer, some other times the Survivor. It balances out.
-
@White_Owl said:
This isn't the same Legion people payed money or shards for.
Actually it is. Legion was advertized as a killer whose focus was to injure as many survivor as possible in a smal time fram, with the added benefit of vaulting pallets. That didn't change.
Yet, even after these changes, its power doesnt allow you that much.
-
@Cymer for design lead, pls.

I'm pretty sure they're making adjustments to make play fair/fun for both sides. Maybe there will be buffs following or some of the changes will be retracted.
I kinda missed the "fun" part of playing as Legion after the changes...
-
Seriously though. I love Legion's and Plague's. Legion's are like quotes from a gang. And Plague's are passages from her religious book.
-
"U mad?"
-
Each Madness and Shock related score event is capped at a certain amount of points. Even if you dont reach the Deviousness cap, you will not receive points for them after that.
From there on, the only way to tell when a Survivor is in T3 Madness is to pay attention to their character's posture and how they run.
-
How long until you realise Pig and Legion changes were bad and do something about them?
-
Clown's is probably the best one. Genuinely disturbing. The eyes...!
Adam finally gets a decent looking one. I would probably switch out the headpiece for some other, but the rest is really good.
David looks pretty sexy.
Not particularly attracted to Spirit's. But, to be fair, its difficult to match up with her other collections.
-
But following that logic, Myers is more similar to Legion than Ghostface. Myers wears a mask and a jumpsuit. Legion is mostly regular clothes. On the other side of the fashion spectrum, we have Ghostface with a cloak.
-
@Mushwin said:
@PigNRun actually no....they were killers for glory and blamed horror films etc.....Besides Myers never used the phone, a big partial thing in Scream and changing their voices....they had a plan, Myers had a design.....difference.....what can ghost face do what legion cant? walk arounf and stab people?
You missed the point. What I said was that Ghostface and Myers show themselves from distance and build up dread in their victim. Their methods are different, and their intentions as well. But their objective is roughly the same; making the victim feel in danger before finally attacking. Legion is, on the other hand, brute force and straight up reaction to external sources.
-
But whats Ghostface's most iconic feature? Saying "Do you like scary movies?" on the phone, flashing their presence around the house at night and making their victim feel nervous before attacking. Thats more or less the same of what Myers does.
As for the multiple people thing, maybe. But only if Legion was what we were all expecting when they first teased them; a Killer with multiple personalities. Legion is a gang. Ghostface is multiple people trying to be the same person. Thats entirely different.
-
I emit a sense of dread all around me.
-
I honestly never see how Ghostface and Legion are even close to being similar. If anything, Myers is more similar to Ghostface (not only due to looks), because they both fit the "taunt from distance, get closer and attack". Legion is all about being impulsive and having a frenzy (despite what the rework is trying to do).
