  • Maybe a rather unpopular opinion, but I never really enjoyed the Crash Bandicoot games. I only enjoyed the ones later in the series, namely Crash of the Titans and Mind Over Mutant. Twinsanity was pretty good as well.

    I also LOVE detective games, those where you have to solve a murder. The CSI games were amazing for this. Always played them on the highest difficulty to test myself and I had lots of fun with them. I am a bit sad in the lack of proper murder investigation games nowadays though.

    And The Simpsons Hit and Run game was a masterpiece. And so was The Simpsons Game. So many fun memories.

  • First off, I dont like having two perks boosting exit gate opening. Sounds... irrelevant. I am fine with Leader because it requires 2 Survivors, but there is no reason for Left Behind and Wake Up to do the same. Maybe increase Wake Up's values and give Left Behind and entire different focus.

    Beast of Prey, I have said so in a different thread. Just make its effect take place during a chase. Just like Monitor and Abuse does. No cooldown, no bloodlust requirement.

    Dark Sense should just trigger like Poised does, regardless of you working on the completed generator or not.

    Even if Up the Ante is pretty useless, I dont want to lose its purpose of affecting luck, much less making it something as generic as generator repairing speed.

    Except for those cases, all ideas sound rather nice.

  • I got lucky with that achievement. I found the hatch against a Hillbilly, he downed me, went through the hatch and was surprised there was an achievement for that. Then I realised they came with Ash.

  • Well, I get why you are asking for this, but it wont stop me from unhooking someone. I will not give up a WGLF stack or precious 1.5k BP for you if I can unhook them first.

    Right :P Then again, it was based on the remake, so that was a mistake in and of itself .

    Dont you dare trashtalk my Quentin-kun.

  • Havent played Plague, but Im guessing either "Cant Live Without" or "Dont Mind Playing".

    Also, Legion is referring to the new Legion. Old Legion was a "Cant Live Without".

  • Ill take the bait, I guess.

    If you want to make a proper "Perks with and without counters" list, you need 3 categories. Perks with no counters, perks with counters (including Survivor perks) and built-in counters (a limitation, for instance).

  • Yay for useless aura reading that you have little control over.

    Seriously though, all WGLF needs is more reliable ways to get stacks. Not aura reading.

  • Lol, they are funny. Good work. Especially loving WGLF and Dead Hard.

    They absolutely were because you could work on gens, then out play the killer if they left the hatch to stop you from doing gens. EGC locks all gens and the killer just watches the doors to see when a red light appears.

    What rank did you get to as survivor? Maybe in low ranks hatch standoff was mindless, but purple and red had actual counter play.

    I really dont think you even know what hatch standoff actually means.

  • Leaked winter event.

  • Also, if you get hooked into second phase, you seem to have less of a time window to realise you have to struggle because it skips the screaming animation, which nearly got me killed when I found out. Lol.

  • Something worth mentioning, you dont scream at all now. For example, before this patch, you still wouldnt produce the notification for the Killer. But your character would still scream silently. Now, you dont scream at all (which can be kind of a nerf in certain scenarios).

  • I would say Clown gets the best cosmetics. There are just too few of them.

  • @Pennosuke said:

    I think the main problem is "When the EGC start and all remain survivors are downed,The killer choose to slugged them and waiting for the Entity killing them all and get free kill".

    If at that time there are more than 1 survivor,it can be called as punishment because the survivors are open the door too fast & let the killer downed them at the late game while they're have a chance to help each other and escape.

    But if at that time you are the last survivor,It's really frustrated when you have been slugged by the killer while in the EGC becuase you can't do anything and have to wait for 2-4 minutes to let the Entity kills you.I know the time is shorter than hatch stand-off but this situaton still very frustrated for me. ;_;

    What I want to change about EGC is the killer should get less sacrifice score when it was done by the Entity.If the survivors get the punishment becuase they are too late to escape,the killers shold also get the punishment too if they are too late to hook survivors.

    @Pennosuke

    Surprise, surprise! Killers already get less points from Endgame Collapse sacrifices than hook ones.

    I believe Super Buu said something along this regard.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k95DSQbQmJY

    I think you fail to see the massively unfair advantage a solo survivor at the end has against a killer that can patrol/view both gates while a literal death timer counts down your demise above.

    You're lucky if you find a purple key in a box and the hatch before the Entity comes out of nowhere and 86's their ass.

    I would like to state something. Solo vs SWF has absolutely no place in this argument. Its a 1v1 situation. Unless other members of that SWF are spectating the Killer, they know as much as the Survivor in the game and vice versa.

    There's only like a hand full of killers that are definite top 5 before we get to most of the M1 killers, and since Myers is one if not the top of the M1 category i'm just going off of that.

    @FireHazard

    But just because they are in the top 5 doesnt mean they are the cream of the crop. Top 5s and Top 10s are just what we are used to the most, but in reality, depending on the topic, just because they are on a list doesnt mean they are the best thing that could have happened.

    I placed Myers on "the rest" category because the "5th position" can be really subjective (even more than tier lists themselves). For example, if it was my list, Myers wouldnt even be the 5th place. That would be Huntress or someone else.

  • The kitchen knife looks out of place, in my opinion. Maybe a cleaver, or at least the usual butterfly knife, would fit better. Otherwise, I love it. I want it as the next Hallowed Blight skin.

  • @tt_ivi_99 said:

    Why does people keep saying Hag is top tier? It's the most overrated killer in the game imo. Maybe Im missing a hidden mechanic of her gameplay?

    @tt_ivi_99

    She has both great defence, anti-looping potential and mobility. Thats it, all attributes that help a lot against Survivors.

    Have you played Myers? His stealth potential is rivaled by Wraith and Freddy's literal invisibility. Slap a Dead rabbit and J Myers memorial Page and you're basically solid snake on most maps.

    While I agree most killers that have powers that dominate their base M1 ability's take the top tier by storm I feel Myers is one of the best M1 killers since he was first released.

    @FireHazard

    But stealth isnt something that helps all the time like a chase-related power does. You get a first hit in, MAYBE. But what happens after that? From that point on, Myers is no different to an M1 Killer. He might be the strongest of all M1 Killers, no denying in that. Maybe only rivalled by Clown if it wasnt for his several bugs.

    It's every single game... EVERY SINGLE GAME, and no teammates can work through it

    They're all ######### and just run away from the generator like it's the ######### killer

    Lets analyse this then. Is Ruin OP or anything? No, it just buys you time. If its in every game, what does that entail? Basically, in the current state of the game, I cant complain about Ruin's presence. I too find it oftenly, not annoying, because I can land great skillchecks or run Stake Out, and I dont mind if someone else cant and prefers to look for the totem, because either way the perk is doing its job.

    The fact that you are complaining about Devour Hope, I dont know what to say. A hex perk that only takes power midgame, with potentially awful totem spawn points, promoting a "funner playstyle for Survivors", hindering you as Killer if it gets found before even the 3-token reward, arguably the most balanced and healthiest perk in the game (rewarding you for doing good) and if it even triggers being extremely likely for it to only net one down or two before being cleansed.

    Now, BBQ. You are complaining because you just cant keep working on a generator without worry? People always complain "holding M1 is boring!", so adding spice to this interaction is bad, in your opinion? And, if you are being spotted, so what? The game isnt just chases or just stealth, its both. Sometimes its also good to be found by BBQ if, for instance, you havent been hooked and everyone else is on death hook. Not to even mention how BBQ is the biggest incentive to the most common complain from Survivors.

    As for, NOED, if it triggers, then that means that you ignored a secondary objective and are being punished for it. If the Killer sucks, then you should have more than enough time to take care of totems. If the Killer puts enough pressure that you cant do totems, then they dont suck and did their job correctly.

    Moris being powerful? Maybe they are. But, so what? They are offerings. They can only be used during a single match. There are other perks that hurt more than that and they can be used on every single trial.

    Finally, Plague. For her to have Corrupt Purge, a Survivor must have been infected and then cleansed, having found you during its relatively small duration and avoided pallet drops. What is Plague's power in a nutshell? A decision based on Survivors. Making the wrong decision rewards the Killer, such as cleansing when its not needed.

  • Who says alarms arent painful? Try waking up on a Saturday because of one and then we will talk.

    But seriously, I would wait until his rework in the coming month. Maybe he will be completely different, maybe this concept is being implemented along with it (wouldnt be surprised with the Devs that introduced Mending...), maybe this wont be needed or maybe it will.

    No, I always thought he was a solid above average M1 killer with a ability that brings him up to the top rankers. Idfk who TydeTime even is lmao.

    @FireHazard

    He is a content creator who is known for having said Hag is low tier and Myers is top tier.

    Its not that I dont recognise Myers' strength, but he isnt top tier like other top tier Killers are. He doesnt have mobility or anti-looping potential. His T3 is nice, but Killers that require a build up/setup time can go either way.

  • @FireHazard said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/469926#Comment_469926

    Hag is top 5? since when? I thought Myers was in top 5.

    @FireHazard

    Let me guess... TydeTime?

  • Nurse above all.

    Then a mixed bag of Hillbilly, Spirit and Hag.

    Then an even more mixed bag of the rest.

    Tier lists vary from person to person, but this is the general structure.

    My STBFL counters your joke.

    His joke counters your STBFL even more. :P

  • I strongly disagree. Keys have always been an "All or Nothing" thing. Out of all my play time, I can count with one hand the times I said to myself "If only I had a key...". The majority of the time, its either the Killer killing all 3 other Survivors anyway and finding the hatch without needing to use your key or you powering all generators and escaping through the gate.

    If anything, the introduction of Endgame Collapse made keys even stronger. Just outlast everyone, wait for the Killer to close the hatch, locate the hatch (the heartbeat will give you a rough estimate of where they were) and escape. The Killer will be too busy focusing on the doors to search you around the hatch.

  • Looks like some people are a bit jumpy today.

  • About Wraith, I honestly see no similarities between this one and his Hallowed Blight skin. Might be difficult to tell because its a stationary image, but he has a cultist-like hood (and, yes, Huntress' and Wraith's are probably the same collection).

  • Hell, I think most Killers should have Exhaustion add-ons.

  • Crsed.png

    Nightmare fuel right here. (Its also a Freddy, so the tag is ironic, ha)

  • Tsk tsk. Underestimating the power of Pharmacy.

  • @Peanits said:

    You said yourself that the issue with the old Legion is that they had no counterplay. To play Devil's Advocate, what one or two nerfs alone would have fixed that? The terror radius deep wound change covers moonwalking, but what about someone who only repeatedly uses frenzy to down a survivor? Since there is no counterplay there as well, how do you suggest that should have been fixed? With those two changes in mind, would the Legion be good, or would they be weak?

    For what it's worth, I've been watching plenty of people playing the Legion since the update and they've been very successful. The less fun aspects may be gone, but in terms of overall power, the Legion does not appear to have taken much of a hit (if any, they actually seem stronger).

    @Peanits

    You dont realise Frenzy M1ing people multiple times is a counter by itself because of how much time you lose. After moonwalking, it was the least effective way to down someone. What are the other Survivors doing during that time? FMT was an add-on that removed that counter, and that is why that specific add-on was a problem.

    As I have said before, Legion were fine the way they were before. Some of their add-ons and moonwalking were LITERALLY THE ONLY PROBLEMS. Those problems were addressed, and thats very much appreciated, but at the unnecessary cost of a decent Killer being trashed because of senseless whining.

  • I would love cosmetics for licensed Survivors, even if they are not from movies.

    ...Come on, bring Swimsuit Quentin. 🤤

  • Regarding Wake Up, it has no "distance requirement". It has always been 128m because there are no maps (and there will never be) bigger than that. I do agree on making it remove certain states. Mainly, removing waking up from Adrenaline and giving it to Wake Up.

    @VitalSignsNegative There should be a consequence to missing. If you're right on a survivor, you'll still be able to get the hit, too, and his ability has the bonus perk of locating people.

    Its called FRENZY. Its a small time window it can be used. It takes a long while to recharge. Can only be used if full. And its lethality is minimal. I see no reason to punish you so harshly on a Killer whose concept is to be fast.

  • #relatable and horny here.

  • I am not buying them because I dont find them particularly appealing and I am hesitant to spend money due to the disaster of a PTB this was.

  • Must be Hoffwoman.

  • So, basically another indirect buff to Borrowed Time?

  • I dont get it. You use a perk build to get yourself up to counter a "time waster" situation. But then you get up and you will be downed again, wasting time as well. Whats the point?

  • @Plu said:

    I sense bait

    I mean, if they added a </s> at the end, it would be Vote Up farming.

  • So sad you cant perform unsafe unhooks with a safety net against a Doctor.

  • Farm farm or just farm in general?

    If it is just playing in general, current Legion is the best one. Might be a bit worse after their nerfs, but they will probably still be top. Before Legion was introduced, Doctor was the best one, so he is the second best one currently. Nurse and Spirit are the next ones. Chaining normal attacks and their powers are a must to get damage in, so every single hit will also come with more BP (especially Spirit and her Grudge and Possession score events).

    Now, if you want to farm farm with Survivors, thats a bit different, but not too much. Really easy to cap Deviousness as Spirit while farming, just phase before every hit. Doctor as well, just shock them before hitting them.

  • That looks phenomenal. Brilliantly done.

  • Earlier this week, we asked you what statistics you would like to see.

    Here it is, in the News section.

  • Overall, it sped up the process considerably. That said, I am a bit disappointed by the lack of farmers I faced. I only got one out of the several matches I had. I would have liked to farm a lot more.

    I got all teachables from Huntress (just cuz) and levelled up my Kate from P1-20 to P2-50 (going for P3 soon). And, this increased BP gain also allowed me to try out OoO which I got from the Shrine this week.

  • Insidious: 12s? Really? Compare it with Dark Devotion, which is also considered a situational and ineffective perk. You have to make it at least 1 minute.

    Iron Maiden: 2 second aura is really small. Especially considering there is no sound notification for it triggering other than a Survivor scream from a certain distance.

    Open Handed: If you are making it so strong with a single person using it, just make it not affect Kindred. Otherwise, you have free aura reading of the Killer almost through the entire map.

    Beast of Prey: You say relying on Bloodlust is bad, yet decide to keep that. Why not just make it trigger during chase with no cooldown?

    Diversion/Stake Out: These two perks are fine as they are relying on the Killer's TR. Sometimes they wont be as effective against certain Killers. Whats so bad about that? The idea of showing where the pebble would land is something I can get behind.

    Wake Up: Increasing hearing distance is beyond utterly useless, they can see your aura. The increased numbers are nice.

    WGLF: Aura reading of the Killer is meh. If it remains as a BP farming perk it will be fine. The only thing they need to do is add more reliable ways to get tokens, such as healing others.

    Vigil: The problem with the perk is that it brings back a mechanic people disliked. I feel buffing its numbers by a lot would make it a lot better.

    As for the No Mither suggestion above, if it is a Hard Mode perk, why are you making it even more powerful than being healthy? No Mither + Flip Flop + Boil Over would make it literally impossible to get you to a hook.

    (at least if i understand this chart right... he is the 3rd most lethal killer on PC and X-Box and the most lethal killer on PS4, or am i wrong there?)

    also the clowns name isnt Jeffrey... its Kenneth Chase...

    just saying...

    besides that, if he had better map pressure, he'd be a lot more lethal, as currently he is just getting genrushed like nothing. in chases he is already pretty strong.

    Jeffrey Hawk is the name he adopted after he ran away from home. Both are valid.

  • @TWiXT

    The problem is I have experienced this as well the past few days; with me being Rank 6 on Survivor against a Rank 15 Killer, while other Survivors are around Yellow/Green Ranks. And, yes, I am solo. And all Survivors joined at different times inside the lobby.

1 … 15 16 17 18 19 … 43
