Does one of the most used perks in the game need a buff? One could argue that if it is so highly used it could be considered top tier already. One of the biggest problems is that people can literally spawn next to the Ruin totem, and extinguish it.
Ruin is extremely fragile, and that is one of the biggest reasons people don't use it.That's the risk you take with ruin.. Sometimes it carries you through a game, Sometimes it gets destroyed early.. On Average it buys you a few minutes of time.
It is easily one of the most used perks in the game already.. If it didn't have a downside it would be in every single game. Seeing it in literally every game would be incredibly boring while playing survivor.
There are like 50 other perks to choose from.. But no-one chooses them.. How about we make the unused perks more enticing to use instead?
I would rather see variety in this game over buffing one of the strongest perks already around.
Killers wouldn't need ruin if every game was filled with side objectives like this recent halloween juice event. Not every killer has access to convenient things like traps, and not every killer wants to run ruin every match just to combat games going too fast. Something needs to be done.

Yeah, never made sense to me, huntress with noED is basically useless, only effects her regular attack not hatchets.....

The obsession half of it kills me. I hate obsession perks in general as there aren't many perks on the killer side you can use to quickly track the obsession. So....the fact that this perk is luck of the draw/fate on whoever you find first etc.....kills it for me. Its the same reason I won't ######### with Dying Light. Dying light? Great numbers......having to mori the obsession pretty much first hook and as soon as they get off? Bad experience for the survivor who got stuck with the obsession role, and even worse experience for challenging myself because at that point its a 3 survivor game with maybe 4 or 5 gens left......thats no longer even a challenge....
The real loser is the survivor who was barely in the game 2 minutes....and walks out with 1000 points likely depipping from the entire experience.....

I usually let 1 person go in my pig matches every game out of character principle. I want them to get the feeling of Amanda after playing the game being the only one to survive. But if theres a toxic person in that match trolling me or trolling their own team mates it usually tilts me enough to kill everyone. But there haven't been many toxic people in my matches, its rare enough that I usually allow 1 person to just barely escape.

I stopped reading your essay after the first sentence because if you’re ACTUALLY tired of all the bullshit you play Nurse.
Well 2 problems. First off, the difficulty of learning the muscle memory needed to play nurse.....ehhh...no thanks.
second...it feels dirty to be that powerful even with skill.....
Its not about the win for me, its about the experience in the middle of the match.
Did I scare people? Check.
Did people panic because oops Bear Trap? Check.
Did I play with my food before killing them? Check.
Did I play sinister mind games making gestures or standing at a window staring at people to throw them out of their 1 track look for a loop mindset? Check. (Sometimes you can check a persons ego enough to just make them...walk right into your lap)
Did I make the survivors take me seriously? Check.
Did I bring enough tools to make the game difficult enough? Check.
Did at least 1 person escape and be baptized? Check.
Was that last person injured to the point where they barely made it out giving them a Dopamine high when they do? ChhhhhhECK! -

it does but her base terror radius is so low you barely feel any of what distressing would do to a normal killer.
To put it into perspective, with distressing on, it just barely gives her a normal killer terror radius around 30-31

BBQ is a decent perk but it attracts more salt than anything. No matter how well you play, you'll be hardpressed to get a 'gg' or anything positive. Its considered a crutch perk even though most killers run it for the BP gain. I don't care much about BP so i took it out of my loadout.See I don't understand that. It's not even that good why do they get salty over it?
There's more situational tracking perks besides BBQ for aura reveals. Bitter murmer is strong especially on a killer suited for gen control. Along with Tinkerer.
But nothing beats that BP gainz

As an aspiring killer, I have only made it to rank 7 but of course am interested in changing that. There's one particular situation that I find difficulty in deciding what course of action is the wisest to prioritize. There are a lot of games, especially on the larger maps, where the survivors all spawn next to one generator. Unlucky for me, I've check every other generator before I find the one they are working on and it's nearly complete. My instinct is to stick around for awhile after I've scared everyone off, or fake going after someone else and come right back, because there is almost always one or two people hanging around to pop that generator as soon as you take off. While this seems like the proper course of action, I find it only pays off with about a 50/50 chance. Sometimes, I can down someone by faking the chase and returning to defend the nearly completer generator. Other times, two other generators become complete by the time I've chased people swarming off the one that was nearly complete. What do you do? Is there anything you can do, really, save for leave it up to chance?
Simple. Survivors are people, people are predictable fickle creatures. Kick the gen, and camp it, loosely. They will go after that sweet lightbulb like a moth, giving you a free hit everytime you catch someone trying to jump back on it. If you're not playing a stealth killer, combos like overcharge+overwhelming help deter tapping which means you can go in pop someone in the face after they fail a skillcheck, it then regresses the gen, you kill two birds with 1 stone. If you're playing a stealth killer though, you're better off using a different tactic.

-
They want you to die, and you're probably facing low rank killers who think that. Outside of gen rushing....theres no real issue with the game, being stealthy and immersed is good, I got huge respect for survivors who can evade me that way. Looping is the fault of the kilelr making bad decisions....unless you're purposefully going through a section you know is an infinite loop....even though the devs try their ass off the delete these sections of the game.
You want to do me a favor as a survivor? Stop treating your teammates like ######### and doing unsafe unhooks directly in front of my face you heartless bastards. Its like you see each other as points instead of people. Thats my only issue with survivors, don't unhook directly in front of me and try to sandbag the person you just unhooked. I don't like being force fed.

1. Killer streamers can also give away or offer to play with subscribers.
2. Can talk with fellow killers and get to know our own community in fun game moments.
3. Can probally bring back maps that were too big to have use again when in a 2vs8 scenario.
4. When get more licensed killers in game can enjoy those crossovers never thought see.
5. If everyone is invisible survivors can have a buddy come to look at it from another angle.Trapper and Pig. Trapper goes around trapping all the jigsaw boxes, down everyone put on a jigsaw box, and watch them trap themselves while being trapped while trying to get a trap out of the way so they can get their trap off.....ITS A TRAP!

I like this Idea but the devs have to be careful to not make it to much like the doctors power. I also think having fake illusions in the match to throw off survivors would be great. Fake survivors walking around that fake you out if you try to go get a heal from them. Fake generators to work on, totems that turn into traps to get the survivors. it should be like a crazy dream when you are in the dream world. The ability for Freddy to walk through walls, He should be the top tier killer, not the bottom for crying out loud. ugh Devs make this happen!I like the concept of "Fake" illusions. Not sure how they would code fake survivors.....but I would imagine fake screams from survivors showing a fake downed persons aura may be possible, im not sure how much animation and movement could be spoofed to fake an entire survivor, may be possible, may be a nightmare to code who knows except the devs.
I like the concept of fake totems, but lets assume people are asleep, whats stopping them from waking up immediately? And assuming that these totems only work while they're asleep why would anyone bother working on the totems knowing its possible that these totems are fake and a trap?
I like the idea of fake generators, but how will something like a fake generator interact with other survivor skills like dejavu or simple maps? How would these fake gens interact with killer perks like surveillance (Even though I know surveillance is a bad skill that no one uses for science sake).
I like the idea of a terror radius killer, and a progressive snowbally type of power, but I agree with this poster, if you make it too much like doc it kills the purpose of doc.

I would like it. Have they ever given a reason why they dont? (Other than too much HUD ruins the immersion/atmosphere...which I don't believe would be too much btw)One large factor in its exclusion is that some killers would use it to tunnel survivors that are dead on hook to secure a kill. If it was visible only to survivors, it would help in rescue efforts, like "the person that's dead on hook is being chased, I'll try to take the heat off of them," or "I'm at the Exit Gate, and that person just got downed across the map and picked up. Since they are dead on hook, there's no point in trying to rescue them."
I do understand @pemberley point that it would only be useful for killers who DON'T intend to kill survivors, like I have. Once during the BBQ Event, there were 2 Claudettes. There were 3 event hooks, and I know I hooked 2 Claudettes, and I had downed one of them to put them on the third hook, when I found out that she was the only one I hooked.
Maybe its better that survivors don't know that information cause I've seen plenty of survivors try to help each other even if the person is on death hook. They could have saved if they had a flashlight, but at least they made an effort vs,
"oh that guy getting chased is on his deathhook I'm not even gonna bother stopping what I'm doing to help. "

You can all join in on good christian fun. Where its never ok to be a meanie. And theres no such thing as death, just OOF sounds. And absolutely no cursing, and no blood, no sex, no nudity, and everyone is a lego man so no real violence! Roblox is a community full of children, so anyone with the maturity level of a teenager who is sensitive to dark topics or graphic content can play Roblox without fear of getting in trouble from their parents even if you're 35 years old and still living with your parents.
No seriously...if you lack the maturity level to handle all the content in this game, go play roblox...I'm serious...you'll have a much better time in life as it seems you are not yet ready to leave the nest.

I hope you're prepared for 99% of the posts in your topic attempting to discredit you as a feminazi.
I'm gay.
I don't see why we need LGBT characters in the lore? Sure, it would be fine, but with how horribly written most of the lore is and how little we know of each character and the fact that one's sexuality does not matter, at all, as they are either Killers or people trying to Survive. I feel it would just be pandering and to "check" a box.
Do any of the characters even have defined sexuality? From what I remember I don't think any of the Lore defines any of the characters as straight, or anything else.
It doesn't but perverts are always trying to ruin things by sexualizing everything, its sick.

The Spirit's visual design has, since her inception, severely irked me for what I feel should be obvious reasons. She's virtually nude, still very much recognisable as a young woman, her nudity is not appropriate to her lore, and the only available means of making her more clothed is to buy her most expensive cosmetic. For greater clarity on my concerns, see this video.
I feel she needs a rework, as to expect everyone to play her with her current default appearance or shell out money to use her cosmetic is rather unacceptable. I enjoy playing Dead by Daylight and I want it to be as accessible to as many people as possible, but as she currently stands I can't in all seriousness say that how the Spirit looks is okay.
"I want it to be as accessible to as many people as possible"
The game is Rated Mature, its not supposed to be accessible to minors.

S+ Nurse
S Billy
A Huntress, Hag, Clown, Doc, Spirit
B Wraith, Pig, Myers
C Freddy, Leatherface, TrapperOP pretty much overrates most killer.
Massively disagree with spirits position as a she may not have as much mobility as billy and lack an instadown but her power catches out survivors better then billy as you you can see billy coming. Finally she is way better at dealing with survivors at loops its like saying nurse is crap because 50% of the killer community play her badly. Spirit is insanely powerful and she will continue her rise to become the second strongest killer in the game. Now if a killer is overrated its billy seriously just hop a vault or force an m1 hit if you think your gonna be sawed. Also doc is definitely not that far up especially when you consider that the docs shock stun is way too low and vaults still have the suction effect so you cant effectively shutdown loops. Myers I agree isn't quite s as his stalking takes way too long in high ranked games.
I think the main strength of billy is the fact that as soon as he's done with a chase, (Assuming he has BBQ or a decent tracking perk) he can be on someones ass faster than any other killer aside from nurse and spirit. Which is a lot more than what can be said for most killers. Swift killers like these 3 can down someone hook them, immediately transition into another chase, then by the time you've saved 1 person off a hook, the person they were chasing is downed and hooked immediately. And it goes back and forth like this until the whole game falls apart under the survivors.
Other killers have a much longer transition time between chases unless the survivors are camping the hook. If one of the other killers leaves the hook to go after a BBQ target the person is going to get unhooked before they're even able to START a chase on the next guy. This is important, because the most dangerous survivor in most games is the one ACROSS THE MAP DOING GENS!
-
Not sure why people rank myers so high, he's basic at best with the occasional insta down if you don't get looped for the time it takes the insta down to wear off. His stealth is decent but he has no way to prolong the game, no map presence after rank 2, and the time it takes you to "CHARGE MUH LAZOR" you could have downed them already.... I know he's some peoples favorite movie villain but in game he's not that fearful to face. I'm more panicky about a doc removing my ability to be immersed or a billy or nurse deleting my chase potential, or a pig trapping me and ruining my time to get gens done.
Myers is just as easy to dodge as leatherface, see him approach? Run to a loop, loop.....run to next loop when pallet breaks, loop some more. He has no mind game potential or sprint bursts or teleports so its as easy as dodging trapper, or freddy, or leatherface, especially since you can see his tall ass from miles away.

Of course, if they then went on to insult you in postgame or something, that's another matter.
All the pointing and "come on" motions make me think otherwise. But yes, it's a fair point. And it's why I give a nice bow instead - unless the killer is engaging in tomfoolery and a crouchy crouch laugh is appropriate.
Conclusion: we need more emotes
Yes, let me pick up the dead bodies of the fallen mid match and sling them around in the air like a T-shirt at a baseball game as pig! Let me do this and you can butt dance at the exit gates for as long as you want!

I'm sorry but can someone please explain to me why it is some people still want shape-shifting killers. Seriously, I don't get it why would you want a particular killer that's main Power is useless if they're dealing with a group of Survive with friends. No I won't lie the concept is pretty cool but the execution is flawed in more ways than one.
1. You have to have another power on top of already being able to shape-shift.
2. How in God's name would you control your power to change into another Survivor of your choice.
3. Surprise won't mean much once they figure out what you are.I'm sorry but I don't get it...care to explain
People overestimate survive with friends groups..... dude.... its not rocket science, its just humans.
Humans are predictable. The main strength of survive with friends is communication. Even if they are playing the same game if you give the killer the power to make survivors second guess their communication you can easily pull off a killer who shape shifts by forcing survivors to separate with 1 power, then shape shifting with the other half of the power. Creating a penalty for being close together. There are 4 survivors all separated, if 1 person says Hey Jake is this you? By the time you have time to react it will be too late assuming you allow the killer to burst out of the clone and attack.
And assuming you escape the vision of the killer and can report the killers position, you have to go through the thought pattern of looking at who you SUSPECT is the fake, then asking "Hey jake is that you?" Then communicating to the team that you see a clone in X position. <--- Considering that information, as long as the killer has a power that makes working together as a group within close proximity of each other impossible, that killer can morph again before getting to the next target, thus making you have to recommunicate with your team and ask yet again "HEY DONNA IS THAT YOU?".And even considering all of that lets assume that SWF group says screw the call outs and checks to see if that cloned person is their team mate and just completely run from each other and stay away from each other, that means "YOU HAVE AN ENTIRE TEAM OF SURVIVE WITH FRIENDS PLAYERS PLAYING WITHOUT TEAMWORK" No more than 1 person on a gen, no more than 1 person going to save on a hook, NO MORE GOING NEAR OTHER SURVIVORS OUT OF FEAR IT COULD BE THE KILLER! <-------- THATS 1000 TIMES BETTER THAN RUIN!!!!
But how do you make it so survivors separate from each other?
Give the killer a secondary power that gives all survivors a heartbeat radius, and any survivors caught within another survivors heartbeat radius say 28 meters is exposed. <----- Forces all team mates to stay tf away from each other. And I have to say you underestimate humans - they will just come up with a subtle signal to each other, like point before you approach or do a 360 before you approach another member.
+1 but whats to stop the killer from doing the same thing? Assuming you allowed it to transform fully into a survivor granting it emote use with kbd 1, 2, etc? Controls between killer and survivor are pretty much identical with the exception of M1 M2, E, and CTRL (pig) having conditional use with 1 and 2 for emote use. I don't think it would be that hard to code that kind of shift. Imagine how crazy it would be if you saw a Meg you weren't sure of was your team mate making the call over emote at you and it turned out to be the killer? Or if you're on voice coms telling the person you're approaching "ITS ME" but the person you approached is a killer mocking gen repair. By this point, you're already within visual range.... and for any killer thats more than enough by itself.

I actually find him the most fun. He is really weak but at the same time he has some great strengths. He's the easiest to 4k with because you can slug one and still be able to see them from the other side of the map, and the other will struggle to hide from you because they can't tell exactly where Freddy is as they can only hear a non-directional terror radius. Normally I can't be bothered going for a 4k but it's easy with Freddy if you make it that far.He feels so broken. It's funny watching survivors try to stealth from him but not realizing where he is. This is also what makes him to horrible to play against.
I could see some Freddy+Knockout abuse being pretty viable along with sloppy butcher some quick transition add ons, and BBQ. I could see freddy being strong with blindness status effect in general.

Dude, are you kidding me?
You just described the core idea behind GEN RUSH!
Being on different gens each survivor working alone is the most efficient way to do the gens super fast.Gen rushing is going to happen, it just is, unless you create a killer designed around gen control like pic or doc etc with build in gen protection you're gonna get rushed.
Ok, so you have no clue what gen rush is, huh?
You think "doing the objective" is already gen rush, ok, fine.Gen Rushing, Camping, Tunneling, are all made up arbitrary rules by survivors and killers to identify or justify a means of playstyle, nothing more, nothing less except our emotional attachment to the results of said styles vs the overall balance of the game. Its the same logic behind "Using decisive strike is TOXIC!" Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean its the survivors way of being "mean" to you. And just because you don't want to counter it or address the fundamental mechanics of why said skill or game mechanic is imbalanced doesn't mean that any and all use of said tactic or skill suddenly makes the person using it the devil.

@PigMainBigBrainOkay both of you calm down. This is supposed to be a discussion. Okay the Killer is not perfect because we're talking about a killer type that is very difficult to actually to actually make.
A gen rush in my opinion is when survivors recruit one of their own to do nothing but waste your time while the rest of them just do the objective.
However we're talking about a stealth killer that's main job is to destroy communication completely and to make survivor second guess. What we need is chaos. Something to get them off the objective.
Well if you consider the current healing changes (this has literally been some of the most difficult ######### I've played against as survivor) things are starting to spiral out of control real fast the more people get injured. Things like sloppy butcher+thano or sloppy + caulrophobia are destroying people. Self Care feels like doing a generator under those debuffs. Considering those changes survivors are gonna want to team up more just to heal each other, but even by getting healed by a team member without things like we'll make it you're gonna feel that. So with healing becoming another objective within itself, and considering communication, it would still be wise to add some kind of penalty for survivors to be in proximity of each other. And you could create many things with the power that would make "grouping" bad. (especially since you pretty much have to group to heal if you get these debuffs stacking)
Penalties for grouping?
Auras revealed when survivors are within X meters of each other
Healing reduced when survivors are within X meters of each other.
Exposed when survivors are within X meters of each other.
Hindered when survivors are within X meters of each other.
Pink add on? Blind when survivors are outside of X meters of each other. All these things could push survivors away from each other without even considering other mechanics like gens. Which I'm pretty sure if devs want to address gen rushing they could do it another way like they have with the healing reduction. But I've mained pig long enough to know bad it is, and unless you can quickly begin new chases ala nurse or baby nurse aka spirit, cover half the map ala billy, sabotage objective completion while having moderate time between chases ala doc, or add series's of objectives via pig, you're gonna have a hard time vs gen completion time. And I mean I feel bad for the other killers who don't have those forms of gen control, but the point of this thread is to address a style of stealth mechanic which is pretty much what doppelgangers are. Getting into the nitty gritty of how to enhance said stealth mechanic or what add ons could be useful in slowing the progression of the game along with stealth is another story. But you already have a killer who semi does both of these things at once with stealth being about the second lowest end of the spectrum from killers available. So whatever a shapeshifters kit is, it has to be different enough from Pig or Wraith, or Freddy so that the killers aren't clones of each other.

Is it changed now in 2.3 or no? I know they said it will be changed.
its live right now, the necklace completely removes phasing sound no matter how far you are from husk. MMMMM MMMMMM DELICIOUS!

The idea behind a shape shifter is just a different style choice for a stealth killer which requires survivors to stay separated from each other to pull off the best effect. Being separated isn't always a good thing even with survive with friends groups. For instance....if you're blind and can't see the person on the hook.... good luck trying to communicate which trash can or hay bale your body is strung up on should your team mates miss the queue or misnavigate on the way to your body. Blind as a status effect is incredibly underrated.
Now as far as adding gen control to a shape shifting killer you'd just have to use the tools you already have like ruin and thano and other stuff.
You know...now that I think about it this concept would be a badass freddy. Not sure of the details, but the concept would be epic.

Hellll no. You can already go beyond with 6 traps, and you don't even need 6. The point of the trap isn't to be a free mori, the point of the traps is to be another objective to force survivors into and stall for time with the BONUS of if they fail to complete the objective they die.
Do you have any idea how broken I would be with infinite traps?!?! Do you have any idea the amount of torture and will for people to quit I would have from 6 jigsaw boxes AAAAAND INFINITE TRAPS!?!??! Every game would be a 4k....EVERY SINGLE GAME!
I'd prefer adding smaller things until she's more in line than going full beast mode with infinite traps. Cause I know just how much damage I could do with unlimited traps, an exhaustion vial, and a blindness strap, as well as double jigsaw timers, or 6 boxes or 5 boxes+timer. It goes to a new level.

I have never really played a lotta Pig and now I wanna ask some nooby questions: Why is it an advantage if the number of jigsaw boxes get increased? What actually does happen if someone failes a skillcheck at a jigsaw box?you start off with 4 jigsaw boxes. That means as soon as you trap someone and they get up, they have a 25% chance of picking the correct box as soon as they get to one.
Now, lets make it a bit more sadistic. You can stack 2 addons that bring your jigsaw box total to 6. Thats 6 jigsaw boxes to search to get the helmet off. That drops their chance to remove the box initially down to 16.6%.

Or she could have a teddy bear witch acts as a second killer, she can become the bear and control it, it could mimic other killer abilities depending on the addons (pink addons would be licences killers) her lunge could be a long jump with the knife in both hands, she can stalk a bit like EW and when in tier 3 her jump goes over pallets, when in her TR you cannot heal or do gens, I think her mori could be her doing the yandere laugh so loud it makes the survivors ears bleed, I feel like this would be op thogh. I like the third person idea :chuffed:Sounds too much like Annie from league of legends....

If they killer had another power than yeah, could have a morpher killer. Morphing cant be it alone. Due to to the way devs balance the game, there's gonna be some transition before killer can attack. And some sign, think of how they handle stealth killers. The warning and swf means that killer needs a tool and a power, like the pig.
I posted an idea about a multi power like that in another thread, its possible, the killer would just have to use more than M1 and M2 to play the game.

I think her power should be a multi power similar to pig.Power
Bloody Tags: After injuring a survivor absorb their blood with M2 into your entity infused spray can for 120 seconds, you can spray yourself with this can to take on the appearance of the person who's blood you've captured using the action button (E or whatever that is).
While taking on this appearance your movement speed is reduced to 100% and your terror radius is reduced to 0, you may also use the ctrl button to crouch, crouched movement speed is set to urban evasion levels of 100%. Holding shift will allow you to sprint at normal survivor speeds, and you may also perform vaults over pallets and windows while in this form.
By pressing M2 in front of a generator while in this form you can act as though you are working on a generator. If a survivor is working on a generator while you are are on the same generator it will stop progression on the gen. If a survivor performs a skillcheck on a gen that you are on the skillcheck automatically fails and regresses the gen by an additional 5%
Attacks performed while crouching lead into a lunge at 150% movespeed. If you attack while masked as another survivor the paint will immediately be removed from your body removing all stealth and the ability to crouch. (so Use M1 to decloak basically) You may not kick gens while cloaked as a survivor. After absorbing the blood of an injured survivor you may use M2 to place a tag on the ground or any surfaces. This tag reveals the auras of all survivors within a 15m radius, You are limited to 4 tags.
While outside of body paint mode you perform as a normal killer, 115% movespeed 28m terror radius, M1 to stab things.
There, now thats a spicy killer.
Perks, I dunno, but some gen control perks? Maybe some hex protection stuff? Dunno, perks are another deal entirely.

kuehl said:Imagine a killer that could chance it's appearance to look like a survivor. It wouldnt be able to do harm while morphed, but would be able to approach any survivor without triggering the hearth.
I think this killer would change the way people play the game, because until now you could trust any survivor as an ally.
What you guys think?
Ruined by swf instantly, i love the idea but swf kills it.
Not true, SWF groups have to confirm each other constantly. And unless they're moving in a group of 4 constantly you'll have at least a little leeway.
Also if moving as a group is going to be a good counter to the killer then putting out a way for force the survivors to separate or things get bad is a way to nullify grouping. You gotta think with your psychopathic brain for a bit, its possible.

Its also bannable.....

if he doesn't have gen control, power in the chase, or a strong mechanic it could be hellraiser and still suck.
