Ditto. She's a trash tier noobstomper. All the complaints against her really say a lot about your average survivor.

She should have prayer beads as part of her default kit like on PTB.

Dude literally the last 10 games I've had against a Spirit, at red ranks, 8 have been Prayer Beads. And yes, if you use nothing but PB you are a bad Spirit. FACTS

Again someone that doesn't read. IT'S NOT ABOUT IT BEING HARD TO BEAT. It's about it making the game super extra lame to play. It's not fun to play super immersed and waste a crap ton of time hiding all game, unless you are rank 20.

If its stressing out rank 1 survivors and rank 1 survive with friends groups, I'd say thats a job well done. Great killer great add ons. Shows how great DBD's developers are at creating an Asymmetrical game. Good job. Waiting for pig and freddies versions of these.

  • At red rank literally every Spirit uses this dumb add-on. Too many boosted killers using it, can we please get some sort of drawback to it?

You can't hide dwight, I know thats you.

You know your playing her like an original killer? You are the one who were playing amanda young wrong. By the books pig mask saw killer is more other pigs style. Mark Hoffman, Logan Nelson, and Lawrence Gordon could be acceptable choices with that playstyle. Jill Kramer and Amanda Young are pigs that would of played the endgame way you have mistaken as wrong. John Kramer pig would be okay with these changes i would have to ask nerf away hooks also. Cause his aim is to not kill but to leave the tools of redemption for survivors.

Pigs want amanda young back or another pig to take the mantle. Tis all we ask with silly not needed nerf

Not exactly, in Kramers cases all of his traps offered a way out so by pure conception the fact that you can take the trap off in the first place is jigsaws ruleset. Amanda set her traps up to kill the person. There was no way out....EVER. There was no attempt to have them learn a lesson, it was simply die. So if this game wanted to be true to amandas rules, as soon as you had a bear trap on you would be dead, no matter if the exit gates opened no matter if the gens got done, no matter which box you searched none of them would work. And in a game environment that would be oppressive as hell and broken.

If you want to play the game amanda would you could easily do so in dead by daylight with a few simple modifications.....First rule. Bring an ebony mori.

Thats it, thats all you need. For Amanda it was never about redemption, it was about retribution.

  • They are quite beautiful cosmetics. Glad licensed killers are getting extra cosmetics also. Always wanted it but with killers could stand behind.

I'm still gonna get them, I just need to get used to fire and forget tactics and spam every survivor with a trap possible quickly, acting as a stacking ruin.

  • They should have kept the Pig how she was, especially since the egc happens AFTER a gate is open.

Deep wounds is a terrible status effect though....

  • Basically, I'm hoping somewhere down the line they give a purpose to her end game traps like a stackable buff or something depending on how many you have left over.

I have tons of ideas on how they can make the pig incredible, but we have to bite the bullet on this patch until they do something, all for a simple hatch close.....

  • until they give our excess traps a purpose post game, we'll just have to rocket fire and spam traps until end game. Since there wont be any room to calculate or plan. Just fire and forget.

  • Well since you're mentioning perks that are never used.

I used to run crows.....then they nerfed it to a 5 second cooldown.

Perks that I wish had a purpose?

    Unrelenting, ya.....no....

    Shadowborn....like #########....

Hangmans trick.... like, nobody sabos...its great on trapper tho.

  • To get straight into this here I'm not talking about her power, I think its very unique and high skill cap.

That phasing is actually part of her power.....

Thats not true. A really good Nurse will get a 4K no matter how good the survivors are. Maybe not on Game and Lerys tho. Once u master her, there is nothing that can stop her.

"Once u master her, there is nothing that can stop her"

You just reinforced his point....she requires skill to play......aka you have to master her. One does not simply log into nurse with no skill and win games. Quite the opposite you will lose vigorously.

  • Battered but not yet broken. Maybe its a sign that we should appreciate her more.

Whatever happens from here on out, I promise to be the most vengeance fueled pig that will ever be seen.

I'm not done with you mother ######### yet......

    battered but not broken.png

  • Plagues have the same ######### playstyle. And they don't even have a choice NOT to tunnel. They literally have to stay on that one person because as soon as they leave that person gets a free botany infused med kit. Some could say "Well that just lets you use her corruption to down people 4Head. But in actuality it just wastes your own time picking up fountains, starting a new chase, and then hopefully landing 2 shots to KD plus the sprint after the initial vomit. You're damn near NEVER going to run into a situation where you can mass vomit multiple survivors with it. So she turns into a huntress with less range for a bit, and god forbid you need to block a gen with vile amid any of this.

Meanwhile other M1 killers just KD the person and move the hell on. Her chases without add ons are better done without vomit....just due to time.

I believe OP means the specific idea of using the timer pause to find a Survivor and then crouch tunneling to chase a survivor with an RBT while the RBT timer still counts down because 0 terror radius = timer does not pause.

Timer aside, the new terror radius thing encourages tunneling. You dont have to crouch. You simply go to the person when their timer stops because it tells you they are in your radius. You can hear the trap timer and read their scratch marks and then proceed to knock them down and hook them again. Its disgusting for a killer who is antithetical to tunneling.

  • @Peanits said:

This is part of the End Game changes. With the Survivors on a short timer, they can't afford to go around taking a trap off before leaving. Putting a trap on a Survivor after the End Game has already started would be a death sentence particularly when paired with Blood Warden. Traps applied before the last generator was powered will still be active, so you'll still be able to

These changes are just on the PTB for now, though. We'll keep an eye out for feedback and make changes if needed.

You're trying to tell me....that somehow people can't get a beartrap off in the INFINITE time they have it on since the timer isn't active, plus the extra time they get should they ever be in a chase when end game pauses progression when in contact with the killer? When you give them a full 3 MINUTES to get out PLUS PAUSING DURING A CHASE? IF THE ACTUAL BEAR TRAP TIMER WAS ACTIVE THEY WOULD HAVE DIED IF THEY TOOK THAT LONG TO TAKE IT OFF ITS 2 MINUTES AND 30 SECONDS BY DEFAULT!

So lets assume this evil plot right. Lets assume I have the freddy perk. All the generators are done and there's 3 people left. I down someone pop a trap on them. Meanwhile someone is opening the exit gates. End game starts, I hook the person activate freddies perk. THATS 60 SECONDS EXTRA THEY HAVE TO STAY IN THE MATCH The entire end game takes 3 MINUTES plus extra time should you engage! Tampered timer wouldn't work in this situation because the trap timers aren't active. They get off the hook, they now have at least a full 2 minutes to get the trap off giving their team mates a choice, either keep trying to save the guy I ALREADY TRAPPED AND HOOKED or leave the match <-------IN WHICH THE TIME THAT END GAME STARTED AND I HOOKED THEM I COULD HAVE JUST CAMPED THEM AND SECURED THE KILL ON THAT ONE PERSON ANYWAY.

All this does is ensure that my power is completely useless after the last generator is done.....

It was bad enough that people could just leave with a trap on their heads with the hatch and even a group of them with the key. I can deal with that. But come on.....

  • @cetruzzo said:

    Yeah I'm done playin....

This basically says they can leave the exit gates with a trap on their heads if it wasn't activated by a gen.. ######### this game.

  • Second this, the god damn chase music is ridiculously louder than I remember compared to screams, injured states etc

That 'nerf' was a fix for the crow spam that we complained about when using that perk; it works just fine now.

It worked better as a tracking perk when there was no CD. Its back to trash tier now again. Why would anyone complain that the perk was actually good because of "spam" ? That means its doing what its supposed to do. If you can't hunt people down amid tons notifications you aren't that good at killer.

  • @Taelance said:

I disagree. I find it easier on killer than survivor. I also find it way more fun.

You talk about survivors always getting buffed. Yet they had their so called "biggest crutches," removed. Ironic that you moan about killers still been underpowered. I did and always have believed removing the "crutches" would do nothing.

Think about it, survivors lost vacuum to pallets. Yet killers have got a vacuum towards survivors, especially nurse and huntress. Lets not discuss them hitboxes.

Decisive is nerfed into the ground. You can be like. Oh but it counters tunnelling. Ummm. No it does not. You just leave them on the floor.

Borrowed time is absolutely useless. It does nothing more than place the survivor that is using that perk in the other survivors position.

You may think Mettle of Man is op. But it really isn't as most killers are not M1 warriors. if you use a killer that has a decent M2 ability and you use M1. You are probably just bad with your M2.

As a spirit main, the only thing I would say is turning up the sound of survivors. As you actually cant hear them.

You act surprised by the Legion nerfs. well this is what happens when an entire community of killers play him with no skill. The whole chasing backwards thing means that you have got multiple swings, with insane cooldown and good speed. With all this you need to get 1 hit. Just no skill. Long awaited nerf and I saw this coming all the time. Every legion I came across that used this tactic i said "you are the reason that legion will be nerfed into the ground." I knew it would happen.

Ehhhhh... A majority of killers in this game are M1 killers who's M2 either doesn't help them in a chase, or cannot truly down a survivor, or where using M2 is actually a detriment to your ability to down and hook survivors in decent time.

    Trapper M1

    Wraith M1

    Myers M1

    Hag M1

    Freddy M1

    Pig M1

    Doc M1

And I'd argue plague is M1 with the process and time involved in making her M2 deadly you could have just hit them and ended the damn chase....her vile purge has 0 threat and offers a free heal who needs self care? You get a giant ping sound when she activates corrupt and you can easily hide from her towering viewpoint wasting the timer on it, or just wade around a pallet loop till she runs out. (And this is coming from someone who sucks at survivor.)

  • I've not got TOO much time into this game. Maybe around 600 hours. But 500 of that has been as killer.

I main pig, and have been playing a lot of spirit and plague. And it, honestly feels pretty bad playing killer right now. The scoring system is all jacked up. The perks we get are...about the strangest thing to synergize with new killers. AKA plague has near no synergy with perks outside of gen guard. Spirit felt the same way trying to utilize tracking perks until they buffed spies from the shadows then turned around and nerfed it again for no reason.....Legion nerfs are coming and just at a time where I felt regretful enough about plague to second guess buying legion, good thing I didnt cause legion is getting gutted.

A lot of these changes that hinder killer gameplay remind me all too much of Evolve. Which if anyone doesn't know why its dead, its dead for multiple reasons but one of the largest is the monster gameplay was gutted, they overbuffed the hunters and the asymmetrical style of the game was no longer Asymmetrical. Most monsters eventually became jokes, most monster players eventually quit, queues got longer, and people got impatient to wait for lobbies etc and eventually a large portion of the hunters also quit, more quitter=less population, game eventually went to hell. Now the games shut down.

I really hope its not the same energy I feel here, but I know that smell all too familiar....

  • @Kurisataru said:

A basic tip for plague: You don't want the survivors to be OK with not healing. You want to pressure them just enough so that they will want to use fountains constantly. I can't tell you how much I HATE plagues that manage to do that to me and usually I'm the sickness ignoring gen jockey if my teammates do lose their marbles.

These are the first builds I'd wanna make on her perk wise when I get enough shards for her; so please take it with a grain of salt because I don't know how people normally build plagues:

    ** Discordance, Agitation, Bbq, Ruin

*** Discordance, Tinkerer, Infectious Fright, Iron Maiden

*** Thanatophobia, Ruin, Infectious Fright, BBQ (or Stridor or Whispers; whichever works best with this)

Add on wise: Increase infection duration on objects and whatever else. The idea I have in mind is to make it so that even if they are desperate enough or willing to get themselves infected they'll want to clean off asap before they can get broken and downed.

I've once seen a plague with overcharge or PGTW that was pretty hardcore, wish I remembered her build.

Thano absolutely does not work on her. She is bad at spreading pressure and multiple injuries due to the fountain mechanic.

The only gimmicks that work on her perk wise are gen protection related, or you could just play the typical pallet ignorance with brute force endurance etc.

Now I said this before about the spirit. Who had some of the worst perk synergy initially. But then they introduced a new crows which highly increased her synergy strat for tracking. Legions perk synergy is a no brainer and his power screams on hit effects and debuffs.

But plague? You can semi guard gens..... thats literally about it. You can maybe make some interesting plays with Make Your Choice since her vomit tags the person who saves off the hook so you can easily track them down. But her Vile purge is literally useless... You're never going to run into situations where people are conveniently sick after a hook allowing you to spread KD's to their team. It doesn't happen. As soon as they know you landed the hook they go heal and its over. Her vomit doesn't alter peoples vision, cause exhaustion, extra bleeding, screams, it doesnt slow down gens, it doesnt prevent other actions....its just a target marker tbh. So what, they go broken? Its not a big deal. If it was more difficult to cleanse sure it would be a threat. But imagine if playing pig and using her bear traps meant that the first jigsaw box you went to EVERY TIME automatically removed it, AND HEALED THEM TO FULL. No matter what, no more looking for the correct box, the first one does it all the time. <-----It would literally make Pig unplayable. But since this mechanic is pretty much what the plagues power is it causes a negative side effect because of it.

They said in a dev post that tracking people down, vomiting on them until they are broken, and then hitting them was an intended game play design. But at the same time, THEY NERF THE VIABILITY OF THAT STRATEGY BY NERFING HER SPEED!?!?!

Why did I buy this character....

  • Instead of buffing survivors more, introducing more overpowered survivor perks, could you finally adress killers being weak af and totally unplayable rn?

I'm still in a state of shock from the Thanatophobia nerf, then they nerf crows after it became finally usable.....like why? Why?! Then the new emblem system makes points for killers damn near gutted to the ground. The pip system is terrible now so ranked games are all over the place, mostly from tons of people depipping including killer. Not even on purpose.... Game is unplayable..... I'm an extremely sad piggy.....

I keep thinking to myself, maybe it'll get better, just need to be patient.

Still hella miffed about them nerfing thano after ptb but during ptb showing us an actual good perk with good numbers....hella miffed...

Will it? There are a small handful of perks/items that trump Knock Out, and SWF basically makes it a non-issue.

Forces people to communicate, and if you've ever heard coms, having multiple people trying to shout over each other is actually beneficial to the killer adding to the confusion.

  • I recently started playing as the pig. It's been the most fun I've had as killer. What addons and perks do the Pig mains use?

Depends on your style. Some pig favorites like to run brutish builds that run face first into pallets, and focus on quick chases and extremely gamey and risky lunges. They bring things like enduring, brutal strength, spirit fury, etc etc.

I personally like to run more....objective based builds giving me time to mess with people mentally. Things like Thano, sloppy butcher, franklins, knock out, multiple jigsaw box add ons, multiple bear trap add ons, blind and exhaust add ons etc. I was really looking forward to the thanatophobia buff so I could really feel the pressure build up as I spread damage across survivors....but alas....

I enjoy pig because she has the most versatile gameplay style of any killer I've tried.

You can be stealthy, you can be loud, you can be a trickster, you can be annoying, you can be a brute, She has at surface value a pretty simple kit, but theres so much more that can be done with it compared to other killers. I was hoping to get the same potential complexity from the new plague killer but again....alas. Just another leatherface with a few extra steps....

Oh, and she's one of the few killers if played correctly does not need add ons....amazing...

  • Not even. Vs any competent survivors she's hard F tier until they make using her power viable.

  • @se05239 said:

I think the worst thing about the killer at the moment is that you cannot "save" all the corrupted pools and leave all survivors unable to cure themselves. When all fountains are corrupted, they all instantly cleans themselves..

    Like, what?

Theres just no point to using her power. The natural instinct is to spit on people when you get an opening, but doing it on an injured survivor is just asking them to go full heal it off. At 115 she's basic at loops at best. At least with legion you got some utility from using it, vaulting windows etc. But her kit is so counter productive.

  • Best strategy I've found so far, is to just not use your power.....crazy...I know.....but it works....

  • @Keene_Kills said:

    Currently, a 3 or 4.

If they can fix the healing factor of the pools, a 6 or 7.

I'm feeling about the same way, a heavy 3. The fact that the people you injure if they manage to escape get a full heal, no toxin no nothing is tragic as hell... Imagine if completing a jigsaw box filled the persons hp to full.....thats what this ######### feels like...and it feels terrible...how the hell does a random objective on the map do a better job at healing than a player does?!?! HOW??!?!

OP probably thinks the Egyptians were black, too.

Depends which kingdom you're referring to. That area of land has had many rulers. The first of which before the great pyramids were actually Ethiopian in descent. And had rule for a pretty long time. The ethinic composition of the area eventually changed before the great pyramids to a pretty diverse group of people due to trade, migration, slaves, concubine use etc. It changed again later after the area was conquered, and further again after Islam took more of a religious foothold and had people from eastern regions moving into the area more and more.

[We don't know where she's from or who her parents were, what genes they had, etc. Remember, she was abandoned as a child. As for the outfit she has, do we really know what the social standards were then? The Devs made the actual time pretty vague, only stating that it was B.C. Also, I could care less. The Devs just want to get creative instead of being restricted by things like "social standards in B.C. Babylon".]

But then why go through the effort to state shes from Babylon if you're gonna try and half cock some idea about 'but her parents might have been genetically white'. Why not just make her skin tone more accurate, and have her eyes brown instead of green? I know its just a design choice, that they dont want to be 'limited' but it takes like 2 seconds to stop and think "This character doesn't fit the place we chose maybe we should be respectful of that".

Also if you don't care, then why reply at all? If you don't care, then you do not belong in this issue and have nothing to contribute.

I think you'd actually be suprised at the amount....er well... lack of clothing that existed in BC Babylon, persia, and all of those areas. They weren't as arid as they are now, more tropic regions. The vast dry lands you see there today are not a representation of what those areas used to look like in the past, you can even see it in their own art from that era. You should look it up sometime.

    1. This perk works incredibly well on multiple injuries if you actually know how to keep as many survivors injured as possible. I wouldn't take the old version or modified to keep its values if the values are garbage.
  • As any killer main will know, survivors have so many unfair advantages that getting a single sacrifice in rank 14 and above is something to celebrate as 95% of the time everyone will get away and not due to a killer's lack of skill either.(STFU all you wannabe liars, you know damn well you rarely get sacrifices in later ranks so quit trolling!) So most post rank 14 kills will just focus on getting as many points as possible to avoid depipping or at best, get a pip.

Baby Pig, I know the frustration is real, you hate the survivors you really do, you're tired of their bullshit. The booty dunking, the flashlights, their incessant need to help their friends, but as a pig player, you should take your time, and realize that you're dealing with humans. Flawed humans. Disgusting, self centered, humans who need to be cleansed by the hands of the pig. Lets go over some of the basics in understanding our targets yes?

The game starts in the lobby, but your arsenal starts with a wealth of tools and perks all of which the pig can dish out with extra functionality. So the first step, is to make sure you have as many tools as possible.

In the lobby, is when you read these imperfect human beasts and prepare your tools for their demise. Maybe you've done some research before by talking to survivor mains, asking them what killers they hate the most, which perks they hate killers using the most, so with this information, we're going to play a game.

There's a flashlight in the lobby, a toolbox, and 2 med kits. Now realize this. These are humans remember. The one with a flashlight is an egotist, they will be the first to charge into a situation blindly, they are full of themselves, bring franklins. Pride, the sin of pride, some will even be so prideful that shortly after knocking it out of their hands, they will within the same chase return to pick it up.

The guy with the toolbox, thats greed. See, these people want victory, at any cost, they won't dive into a situation to save their friends <---key point as this will come in handy later. You already have franklins right? Good, because 6/10 times you may not see this person in time to remove their precious item, but remember, they will be the first ones to hide and avoid you at all costs.

You see the two people over there with med kits. Thats lust. They are always overly altruistic. And in some cases insecure, they won't carry self care and instead run a med kit alll for themselves...Use Franklins, remove their med kit, and remove their hope.

Remember what lust does, it brings people together, sloppy butcher yeah? It even has your piggy little face on it to let you know you should have it. Bring it, punish them for being altruistic, bonus points if you can force them to go the extra mile with knockout to find their collapsed friend, extra bonus points if you have the mind sharp enough to track peoples positions in your head and predict where they will be going. Place a trap, leave them on the ground.

You see all these crows flying around yeah? You have 1 guys body on the ground with a trap on it, surely by now you've heard the other survivors trip the bird traps set up all over the map. Remember everything is a trap and can be used by you. Go slit the next guys wrist but don't down him, remember where you left the body. He's likely trying to crawl to safety or pull himself back up, go back to him, he's our hostage remember? Go ahead and hook him to burn off the save. The egotist should be approaching soon with his flashlight, and if you don't know where he is thats fine, the crows will give him away because he's too bullheaded to watch his steps. Stab and down him, don't worry about the hooked survivor its almost time to punish the unhooked survivor. You were keeping track of where the boxes were when you hooked them right? Thats fine, place a trap on the egotist, leave them on the ground, you should be hearing the unhook notification by now if you haven't already.

Humans are lazy remember? He's going to rush straight to the closest box from the area you hooked them, assuming you didn't bring ruleset no.2. Try to stab the person who saved him. Go to that box and for the love of god do not crouch, we're short on time. Knock them down, if anyone gets in the way between the time you've left the egotist to the time you're going for the first guys box attempt tag them and keep moving. You may be wondering but what about the gens? If they are a survive with friends team they aren't going to do them, you can guage that within the first trap and knockout. If they do them anyway, that just means for the traps activated you can go put pressure on the ones running into the jigsaw boxes, if making a head pop is what you really....really want. Ignore the gens, unless an RBT has been removed. I know it sounds crazy, but isn't this entire situation crazy? Keep the process going, knock one down, tag another, trap another, hook wisely, memorize and predict, memorize and predict. Remember where they removed a trap, try to flush a trapped survivor into a box where someone has already removed their trap because that box will fail. And if you're good enough at counting you can crouch right in front of it before it explodes and wait for them. Its 1000% an exploration of the mind while playing the pig, use your brain, memorize where the hatch is, stop looking at Megs booty mid chase and widen your view to take in the surroundings, the whole screen. If you've followed my instructions carefully, and maybe modified them a bit to your own tastes everyone should be dead. And if they aren't, why be bitter over 1 cracked egg when you have a collection of dozens? Tick tock tick tock, they managed to open the gates? Maybe you should run 5 RBTs? Maybe you should run NoED until you've properly guaged and predicted enough survivors to read their every step? Maybe 6 jigsaw boxes is in order? Maybe you need to run tampered timer. Maybe keeping them blind is an option? Maybe you prefer exhaustion? Maybe you need to double down on the time it takes to search a jigsaw box. Maybe your understanding of the concept of time needs to be refined. Either way, every killer requires a different skillset to perform optimally. Pig requires more brain, less reliance on her RBT's to carry the entire game. More spacial awareness. And 1 hatch isn't the end of the world.

If you stand still you will die. If you're injured already and try to pull a backtrack by crouching back into your footprints you will die. If you try to camp a pallet, you will die. Drop the pallet, move on to the next one. End the chase with a window because she can't do anything against windows.....

They can only be bought with real money, so you can't use shards, they also lack cosmetic rights to these characters.

Overall, it seems that it's a lot of money to get the rights to a killer with all of one or two outfit choices and perks that are either revolutionary or sub par.

Not to mention that due to the lack of cosmetic options they can't make BHVR money is the cosmetic store.

Meanwhile, with original killers BHVR has all of the rights to them and can make as many cosmetics they want and they let dedicated players acquire the new content free of charge or with cash if they please.

Ehh, 5 bucks for a licenced killer isn't a big deal, its worth paying for without shards, BHVR has done a good job, they deserve the money. As for having further ways to monetize a licensed killer......ehhh, I dunno, I think they should be allowed to do more with them, There may not be a whole lot you can do as far as cosmetics go because some killers never change their form or ever have other skins. But I'm telling you right now, I'd throw down 15 dollars for the jigsaw theme to play while I'm in a chase with the pig, and I'd throw down extra money to pay for the black jacket version of pig that also appeared in the movies.

Leatherface could be monetized a step further by allowing him to wear his classic Suit and Tie like he did in the movies, or sell different chainsaw and hammer skins, people would definitely pay for those.

As for freddy, they could sell his black jacket skin, or give you the option to pick the hatless version of him. Or the devil faced version of his face. Or a ripped shirt skin where he has the faces of people lodged in his chest like in the movie.

The options are there, I'm just not sure what kind of legal mumbo jumbo would be involved to get it into the hands of players.

  • I can not believe out of 4 releases this year they did not include a Licensed killer.

Not gonna lie....the fact that this game has some of the most iconic horror killers to ever touch a big screen is nothing short of amazing and separates it from all other games that try to copy the style. And to be honest with the success this game has, the the titanic fan base that it has, they should monopolize on that concept by adding more. There's literally nothing else like it on the market. And while their unique killers are great.....theres just something extra special about knowing Amanda, Michael myers, Leatherface, and Freddy Kruger could exist in 1 game is nothing short of remarkable. Just imagine if there were more! Ghostface, The Nun, Chucky, Pinhead, The Grudge, IT the clown, Pumpkinhead, Creature from the black lagoon, I mean the list could go on for hours but theres a plethora of iconic movie monsters to pick from. ######### if I was some horror movie director it'd be a huge honor to have my character in this game, that means that your movie stands concrete for generations to come as one of the most iconic horror villains of all time! Imagine that....Michael Myers right now has more clout than his rival Jason Vorhees. Amanda Young and the legacy of Jigsaw can never be forgotten. Leatherface is no longer just some old slasher horror that you can just forget about, he is an Icon now, cemented in this player base and transcending generational movie barriers! And no matter how critical reviewers were of the last Freddy movie, this game still stands as one of the best ways to get behind the wheel of freddy and do the carnage from his view. (Although, I am hoping the skill rework expands upon his concepts in the dream world even more, him shapeshifting or suddenly having arms as long as a bus in the dream world are really iconic to his powers)

I don't even know what to do about them anymore, if my game isn't a 3 man these days from the ######### servers DCing someone mid match it's a game against people who have hundreds of hours on me all communicating together. Gotten to the point that I am no longer having fun playing Killer, and I don't enjoy Survivor, this has pushed me to the edge of uninstalling with how utterly frustrating dealing with SWFs is. I'm a Pig main, obviously by the avatar choice, and now that I've been playing through the purple ranks and dealing with mostly red rank parties (just got destroyed by 3 red ranks and a rank 19 SWF); I have to ask myself is it even worth playing?

This game seems to encourage a Peter principle when it comes to playing, as I'm now running into players that playing and winning against is a chore in and of itself. "Git gud" is the usual answer here, but if getting better just means I eventually hit the red ranks and am stuck in nothing but frustrating matches with no alternatives other than to play some busted killer to do well instead of one I enjoy, I don't see why I should bother playing my heart out.

Is there anything I can even do to beat SWFs that are all spread out and working together, letting each other know when I'm in a chase so they can work on gens, or blinding me and running perfect loops. It seems like as soon as I knock one down, a generator goes off across the map or my totem explodes, and I have to choose between dealing with that person who is down and also more than likely has their flashlight friend running up to blind me or their toolbox buddy sabo'ing the hooks, or trying to put pressure on my gens.

TL;DR: This sucks, I'm not having fun anymore because of SWFs and the ranking system. What can I do?

Survive with friends are the most psychologically predictable groups of people on the planet. Abuse altruism, abuse altruism, abuse altruism. SWF groups are the only idiots in this game that will do any dumb thing it takes to go back and save their friends.......and thats where you come in. People make good bait. Theres a lot you can do with that just look at every psycho killer movie ever. The damsel in distress, the best friend trapped in the basement with a monster and they rush into a booby trapped maze only to die while trying to save their friends. Those are tropes, but they are tropes because people are predictable creatures. You can use this to your advantage, to regain control of the match. And there are tools you can use to abuse this factor. Even if it means slugging. Even if it means holding onto your traps. You get about a clean 2 minutes to study how the survivors are playing, and what they will be doing. Take your time, and plan perks to nullify their comfortable mental states. If you see items on them, bring franklins, just something as simple as that can make a survivor second guess and have to completely rethink what they were doing. Things like sloppy butcher which just shut down heal speed bonuses. Things like thanatophobia which just slow down everything.

I wanna say this though, TOTEMS ARE A TRAP, do not get used to using them they are terrible perks until they fix the hex system most of them aren't worth running unless its like NoED. Which most people ignore until its too late. Also as a pig, stay away from perks that require you to have god tier mobility. Which is most long distance tracking perks. Try to take add ons that make unlocking jigsaw boxes extra cancerous. And above all else try to use anything and everything to your advantage to stall for time. This is pigs main control factor, time time time time time.......Bring knockout regardless off the enemy teams communication, and try to in a way photographically memorize where you pinned someone down 1 knockout can give you enough time to find someone tag them and return to the body slowing the game down just a little bit, so you can keep spreading the pain. And try not to get used to crouching so much, it wastes precious time if you don't have a target. Make it count for something.

Brutal Strength in my opinion, feels like it does not give enough of a bonus to be worth a perk slot. Even though 20% increase pallet break speed and generator break speed is good, i feel it is not high enough, mainly for pallet break speed. I would make it 10/20/30% increase pallet break speed and gen break speed. At rank 3, this would make pallet break speed around 2 seconds.

Buffing the numbers alone would help this perk, but still not enough. I have 2 ideas on extra effects for Brutal Strength.

First, i would make it at any rank, it takes 2 seconds of repairing a generator to stop the regression. Regression still occurs during the 2 seconds and no progression occurs. Extra survivors working on the generator does not affect the 2 seconds of regression. This would counter a survivor tapping the generator mid chase to stop regression.

Second, i would make this perk cause generators to regress faster. I would say 50/75/100%. This would mean at rank 3, 2 seconds of regression equals 1 second of a survivor progress on a generator.

Overall, my buff does sound a little on the extreme side. However, i feel brutal strength needs it's base values increased and at least one of the effects i mentioned to be considered a good perk instead of a decent perk.

Im not gonna lie, when I first started this game I thought thats what the perk did, make gens regress faster. Damn thing actually had nothing to do with gen regression.....damn.

Would faster gen regression be a cool idea for a perk or ability? Yes. Pop goes the weasel instantly regresses gens, why not have a perk that speeds up regression. Dunno, maybe theres some numbers they wanna keep specific before diving into such an idea but it seems like an idea that would fit into the game.

    RNG Map Traps in Buildings.
    Devs could create everything.
The Community could create everything in a contest.

    Example:

Trapdoor, Fire Thrower , Spikes, Wooden Horse(not what you think, pervert)
I mean a big wooden horse (it comes out a wall) that wants to kick in a survivor's face with his hoof.

Trapper being complex enough to have trap doors and flame thrower traps and spikes coming out of walls or floors or whatever. Being able to cast those on his own would kill too much time. He'd get 5 genned even faster than he already does. Even if the traps were randomly generated and he could walk about and activate them he'd still get rushed. But! Lets say these RNG traps were already active we'd run into the possible issue of where it feels unfair to survivors to jump into a match and not even 5 seconds in CLAP! They run into a spike door or something.

If they give any bonuses to trapper like that, it would be nice to see it implemented into a new mode or something. 2 v 8 anyone?

  • More people miss them than hit them, so I'm all for the wasted item slot. I also use franklins like....every game so 9 times out of 10 the item is gone anyway.

  • I like scaring people, bonus points if their heartbeat ticks up and they scream IRL. Even if they don't die in game, the thrill that they may be screaming somewhere is good enough. For the times they aren't screaming though, I think its just some kinda born with it talent. Like you have those who will be hunted and those who will do the hunting. I like doing the hunting. Making people panic, making people stress out, sweat, making peoples adrenaline kick in IRL. I can't do those things as a survivor. So I play killer. I even have a compilation that I haven't finished editing featuring all the streamers I've made scream. Its a jolly ol time.

thats the complete ass opposite of BBQ that reveals auras of survivors within like 16m of the hook. Stuff like that.....

I also think there are a lot of anti camping perks in game. I think revealing close by survivors would not stop camping, in fact I think it would make it worse.

I mean they have perks like borrowed time, but people who camp near hooks for the quick grab RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE KILLERS FACE WITHIN 3 SECONDS OF HOOKING THEM don't carry those perks. They aren't trying to actually save the other survivor, and most of the time it ends up working against the person being saved because the person saving will just duck and hide, while the killer is tracking scratch marks. ######### I'd even go for putting that control on the person being saved and having some survivor perk where after being unhooked you leave no scratch marks and no blood stains for 15 seconds or something.

YEah I mean more like..if im camping persay - and I see a survivor close by - I wont chase him i'll stay by the hook because I already know his/her intention.

If you flag up survivors that are close then im going to camp the hook even harder, or do you mean it as a survivor perk to enable a more co-ordinated attack?

I do think more protection to the hooked survivor is needed, if killer is in x distance from survivor then the bar diminishes slower, but if you try and escape you get penalised more. I think it'd be better to encourage safe hooks more so though

Something, either a survivor perk, or a killer perk, or just built into the game, that either has the killer punish the hook camper. Rewards the killer for not camping. Adds more risk for the survivor unhooking within close proximity of the killer, or guarantees more safety for the person being unhooked that they can equip themselves. Anything to lower the overall toxicity and bad feels which spiral into rage quits and DC's.
