This is where I disagree. The basement is meant to have real consequences so I am a-okay with killers locking folks down there as long as a timer (like the hook or bleedout timer) is in effect.KillJiggy said:@Peasant said:

No, this is the type of body blocking that will result in a ban if reported.
Agreed, blocking the stairway and hitting the survivors is intended, not blocking the survivors from unhooking the person, I do believe that is holding the game hostage. (or something like that)
bodyblocking away from unhooking in the basement is indeed an intended feature, the devs have been pretty clear that its not holding hostage, pls get your facts straight.
Clearly there is a timer runing when the survivor is on the hook
Clearly you don't understand the timer is for the survivors to unhook the survivor on the hook, not for the killer to block the stairs.
You're not entitled to a Scot-free unhook in the basement.
Did I say scot-free? no but it should be possible.

We need a penalty for looping abuse then.
Like if a survive is running in circles for more than 10 seconds they get a 10% Movement speed debuff from getting Dizzy, and a 5% movement speed decrease for dropping a pallet. Both for ten seconds.
They are not gonna nerf survivors since they want to keep the majority happy, only killers. We already had multiple bloodlust nerfs one after the other. After which they promised to fix windows and pallets, but that didn't happen yet. cough sacrificial tree loop
I mean, they are shrinking the walls in height so I guess Clown and Huntress will get direct buffs. Everyone else gets a bloodlust bonus thanks to the increased sight.
I never lose bloodlust there unless I break a pallet. And the fact that they are making walls shorter is a survivor advantage from my point of view, since it removes the mindgame and gives them a clear view of exactly where you are. Hag, trapper and pig will mostly suffer from that.

I'm with @Doc_W__HOLLIDAY The main reason I play Dead by Daylight is the horror A E S T H E T I C (
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQkPcPqTq4M) Aside from that I suppose I've always wanted the chance to be the villain in a horror game. It's also a rather open game, so to speak. As a killer, while it may not always end it a 4k, you can do roughly whatever you darn-well-please (except hacking, no hacking). You can slug or camp or be a friendly killer for all the devs care.So yeah, I like the horror aesthetic, killer playstyle, and the freedom of being a killer.

@michaelmyers87You can already buy Bloodpoints. Buy the Leatherface Chapter and the Spark of Madness Chapter. Leather has BBQ and Chili which can DOUBLE the bloodpoints earned in game. The Doctor is the best killer for grinding bloodpoints to a ridiculous margin of profit.
Combine the two with Distressing and Thrill of the Hunt for an absurd amount of BP. Add in offerings and witness BP gains that rival daily rituals.
If you really want to buy BP, just take my advice. -

@MysticForge The specifics of this achievement are simple.

Huntress has some maternal instincts, and a soft spot for little girls.
Her desire to kill is rooted in a desire for a challenging hunt.
The Spirit got turned into what she is by being brutally murdered and swearing revenge. Before this she had no murderous intent. She was a normal girl, basically.
Her main goal is revenge against her killer. Her rage is too much to control so she vents on everyone. -
The main problem with Dead by Daylight is that the game lacks a definitive identity. It tries to do too much and so it fails in nearly every area.
Competitive vs. Casual
This is an issue that is one of the more dividing issues among the community. If Dead by Daylight is competitive, then the balance should trickle down from rank one and killers need to be rewarded for kills above everything else. Survivors will need tweaks so that they will HAVE to work together to escape the trial. The match results will need to be specific and direct. If a survivor escapes, they win regardless of their allies. If three or more survivors are killed (or they disconnect) then the killer wins.
If Dead by Daylight is casual, then the rank system needs to be abolished to shorten queue and let games be random and casual. In this case, the game should reward both sides for participating above all else. In this occurrence, I believe that the killers would deserve a base FOV boost just to make the game more enjoyable. Instead of emblems meaning anything for rank, they would just remain to boost the Devotion levels.
Survivor vs. Killer
I understand that survivors want to be powerful, but when you sign up to play an asymmetrical game if you have more people than the other side, then you should mechanically be weaker in every way. I understand that some survivors want to be the hero. Some survivors want to have Borrowed Time, Self-Care, Decisive Strike, and Sprint Burst and want to be the heroic protagonist that escapes the killer. However, the independence this can grant is frankly unacceptable for one reason: everyone can do it. If only one survivor per match could use this set of perks per game then I suppose it'd be alright. However, since there is no restriction in this regard it allows for a full team of "heroes" to square off against the killer. That's not balanced, that is the definition of overpowered.
Killers are self-explanatory, make them a threat while not making them too absurd. I'd personally add the ability to Mori after the second unhook, but that's just me.
As a side note, we need to cut this "us vs. them" crap. I get it, we're opponents in an online game. However, a good number of us play both sides. So as a tip for the future, "be excellent to each other". If you play like a toxic jerk as a survivor and later get into a survivor lobby with a bunch of killers you harassed you're gonna be in a rough spot. Also, quit the bloody farming. Otherwise, you'll just make more people hate you.
-
Of course to be true to her origins she'd have to suffer the light burn stun when blinded. Overall, I have thought up most of her potential. I have been working on a forum post for a while now, here's what I have so far:
The Abyss
Kullman Mining Facility
Kullman Mines was built following a deal the Kullman Mining Company made with the Oakside Development Group. It brought many jobs to Oakside Park but simultaneously drove people to move away from the location. During its many years of operation, many workers at Kullman Mines heard strange crying noises coming from deep within the mines. Though many search parties were activated, the source was never found. Eventually, Kullman Mines was closed down and left abandoned.
Characters
New Killer: The Chaser
"As I continued my trek through the never-ending fog a large structure stood before me. A large mine that has been seemingly abandoned waits before me. Thinking that perhaps inside I would find some respite from the monsters that have been relentlessly following me. Once I got inside the door closed behind me seemingly by itself and I was once again trapped in the dark. I struggled to see in front of me and I stumbled towards the familiar sight of a generator. Within a minute it was repaired and suddenly the dark and quiet mine filled with activity. A cacophony of metallic sounds rang throughout the facility as the lights began to turn on and new doorways opened. As I began to explore these new paths I heard running footsteps and bestial grunts as I turned around to see a monster in the shape of a young woman pin me to the ground and savagely beat me. After a few moments, the assault is over and the creature is gone.
Powers
Proxy
The Chaser was a woman once, the evil that corrupted her will and broke her mind is unlike the Entity and as a result, she remains relatively human. The Chaser breaks pallets and generators slower (50%) than other killers. However, because she is so small and light she vaults faster and can vault pallets.
In addition to her ability to vault pallets and windows like a survivor, the Chaser can use her speed and agility to perform a short-distance jump to pin survivors to the ground and injure them. (A successful tackle will injure the survivor caught by one health state and affect them with exhaustion and hindered for 30 seconds)
Statistics:
Base Movement speed: 110%
Her Terror radius will be only 8 metres. However, she will have unique audio that starts playing at 30 metres.
She will suffer from Lightburn when blinded. Her first unique perk is:
Blind Rage- Each time the killer is stunned or blinded they receive a token, every 2 tokens increases their movement speed by 1% to a maximum. (5/10/15)
[Yeah I can already tell I might have to tweak the numbers on this one.]
Adaptive Vision [Name is WIP]
- Each time you are blinded you receive a token. Each token grants you (3%/6%/9%) increased light resistance as well as brighter vision up to a maximum of 10 tokens.
Marked for Death
- A survivor is marked for death while chasing the obsession, gain Bloodlust faster. (If bloodlust is removed, then gain a speed boost equivalent to bloodlust when chasing the obsession.)
New Survivor: Lauren (?)
Lauren's Unique Perks:
-
Beacon
- Your righteous light leads the way through the darkness.
Your flashlight's beam is (N/A, Slightly, Moderately) Wider, it's range is increased (N/A, Slightly, Moderately). You also have (50%, 75%, 100%) more efficiency
Bravery
- After stunning or blinding the killer you will gain Haste (5%/7%/9%) for (1/2/3) seconds. Does not cause exhaustion. Is not affected by exhaustion.
- Each time the killer is stunned or blinded they receive a token, every 2 tokens increases their movement speed by 1% to a maximum. (5/10/15)
-
I want to see "The Chaser' from Slender the Arrival in Dead by Daylight. Her power would be the ability to vault pallets and faster vaults overall.
-
The pig really such a sweet killer guys! I mean, she gives everyone friendship jewely! Not to mention that she really cares about certain survivors and follows them around to make sure that they're safe. She just wants to hook everyone so that they don't hurt themselves with generator Sparks or get lost outside of the gates.Eight said:Amanda. She's lovely.
And I don't care what they said at the end of Saw III (which was partially explained away in Saw VI), she's just trying to help you value your lives. That's sweet of her. You should be grateful.

I used to main Doctor so I know a fair amount of tips.
First things first is the power. Shock therapy has a static field so you can use that to deny stealth entirely as long as you check lockers. Tier one madness is actually a rather bad level to leave survivors in as it only offers a 33% to get a madness skillcheck and needs the highest grade of add-ons to actually have any afflictions.Tier two is better as they have a 66% to get madness skillchecks for the rest of the game, which can really slow things down. As a bonus, all of the uncommon add-ons generally work at this tier. At tier three survivors cannot do jack save for "Snap out of it" and hook saves. Being in this tier also denies item usage so the newer flashlight folk might waste time going for pallet blinds they can't get. It also causes periodic screaming.
His power is great for slowing down the game and it can be used to counter looping too. After being shocked survivors cannot drop pallets or vaults for a short time. So just aim ahead of them and charge in for THE KILL.
As for your perks, not much changes really. The only thing to be aware of is that Nurse's Calling reveals people snapping out of it. -
Well you see, Jake is a master of breaking traps so I'm sure he can . . .Eight said:@Peasant said:

In all seriousness the traps do nothing more than waste time. So unless Amanda just braindeadly tunnels Jake he'll get the trap off. -

They need to stop nerfing killers entirely make all terror radius smaller and the huntress 45 meter lullaby a lot smaller or make her 115%movement speed because it is so easy to hide from her because you get a huge warning she is coming. They need to reduce the amount of pallets and window loops by a lot and promote stealth more. Then when there is no time to waste in a chase there won't be tbagging at pallets because there won't be that many to tbag at.When pallets safe windows loops second and 3rd chances are removed or nerfed. This game will become a horror game. When all killers are feared(not just nurse) it would be scary and actually live up to its genre.
deny it all you want people but at the end of the day everyone(almost) knows survivors have the upper hand and this game isn't anywhere near a horror game
Shrink the lullaby? No, no, no. Simply use Whispers and Monitor and Abuse. Whispers will help you know when survivors are near while Monitor and Abuse lets you get VERY close to survivors without them realizing the danger.
wasnt complaining about balance. was saying it would make it a horror game. stay on topic maybe??
also 45 meter directional humming that gets louder the closer you are is very easy to tell when they are near. at least it is for me
You simply cannot force players to feel pure fear. They adapt and overcome it. However, tension can be used to simulate fear and has been used in many works to accomplish this feat. Focus on making tension, then the fear will follow.
