Or if the survivor has a building or structure.
They can usually draw it out enough it takes around 10 - 12 hits with nothing but a large rock, a truck, or some medium size object like that. He slows down so much that breaking his LOS is really easy.
Huntress hits you when you expose yourself for a moment, trickster does the same except he has to do it like a dozen times. It's crazy.
Also, the recoil and spread makes him straight up awful to play on console.
It's so much easier to play Huntress or Deathslinger than Trickster.
Pretty sad honestly

I think I only got downs via M1 in all my test matches ;w;
Same, going for normal hits seem way faster than trying to get those 8 knives.
Absolutely awful.
As i said,Huntress and Deathslinger are way easier to play than Trickster and much stronger too. It's absolutely stupid

Since when were ranged really ever on ps4? Or nurse,Or blight,or oni, or-
I'm on PS4 and the only killer that is really awful on console is Blight and even he his 100000000 times better on console than Trickster is.
The unnecessary spread and recoil makes him a nightmare to play on console.

Recoil and the spread is straight up awful.
I could have easily downed survivors with Huntress or Deathslinger by the time i get 1 injure as Trickster

I don't even understand why he has to have it in the first place.
As expected, playing him on console feels straight up awful and clunky.

SB is a much better perk compared to DH since DH rarely works anymore. SB gives you distance before you can even get an initial hit or they get away before a chase begins so you have to continue past 2 more loops just to get into hit range compared to DH that usually doesn't work properly, they run into a wall or they save themselves an extra 5-10 seconds. SB is better in almost any scenario. Dead Hard is fine.

And yet you still see this perk every game.Way more than any other exhaustion perk.
That just tells you how strong it is.

While the points you made are true, I still think it is a good idea. I probably should have explained this in more detail, but when patrolling generators without tracking perks such as discordance or BBQ, it becomes more of predicting which gens survivors are repairing and heading there instead of using it to search the entire map. For example, you see scratch marks or crows in one direction scattered around so you use you power to check in over in one direction where you will find survivors.
I still think that just patrolling generators to see where survivors are and aren't is still great. Just the act of patrolling is pressuring survivors and of course it is best to be very decisive and conservative with this method. I play a lot of Oni myself and I do this quite often, the only times I lose all of my power are when I use it without thinking and when I am up against a coordinated team.
Well,i pretty much only use Blood Fury if i actually see a survivor because i would end up just wasting it otherwise.
But i definetely agree with the second tip. It's pretty good because most survivors will expect a demon strike out of your dash.Stopping the dash and then going for the strike will throw them off quite often.

I've been on break for DBD for the past week, so I'm basically completely unaware as to there being certain parts unaccessible on the maps. Quite unfortunate that Red Forest has been disabled temporarily since it's my favorite realm, but I don't think anyone has mentioned this so I decided to mention it myself.

6000 shards? How much will he cost? I have 14950 and wondered if I had enough. I'm hoping he's worth 5 so I have 10,000 to spend on less silly cosmetics
Original characters (killer and survivor) cost 9000 shards

I hate the charms anyway because their sole purpose is to fill out the battlepass to make it look more worth.
They were a neat idea at first glance but are rather forgetable now imo

It's not really that good.

Hmm,i've seen some more Devour Hope users too.

Yes... less time.
It takes Trickster less than 3 seconds to pull out his knives and throw 8 of them. He starts off still moving at 3.68 m/s and if my numbers are right he's still moving at 3.4 m/s after throwing 8 knives. That's actually very quick and really not that much speed lost while doing it. In addition to that, after he's thrown 8 knives there's no mechanics preventing him from continuing to throw them.
Most Huntress players I've watched usually fully charge hatchets before they throw them. Makes sense, you're making an ammo and time investment by throwing one and charged hatchets are much harder for the Survivors to dodge. Here's the thing, fully charging a hatchet also takes 3 seconds and slows Huntress to 3.08 m/s. Also after Huntress lands a hatchet, there's a minimum of 1.25 seconds before she can throw a 2nd one and that'll be an uncharged snap shot so Survivors know they can just run away post hit without worrying about an immediate follow up.
Now for Deathslinger, he can go from seeing you to having you on his spear incredibly quickly. However, at that point Deathslinger hasn't injured you yet. He still has to reel and swing which can take several seconds depending on how long he has to reel you. Then after that he has gotten his injury, but now he has to wipe his weapon and reload before he's really a threat again, all while the Survivor can safely hold W with a 2 second speed boost which he'll need to catch up to. When taken together, all of that is going to take way longer than 3 seconds. Way way longer.
That's why I think Trickster is going to be better than a lot of people are saying. He can be far far more relentless in chase than either of them can be, but as a trade off he needs line of sight on his target the whole time. Now I can't say for sure how that tradeoff will pan out, but I'm excited to see it.

You definetely won't be able to hit 8 knives immediately under normal circumstances.

Also, the majority of high rank players just isn't really good at the game anyway so it's definetely possibly to win with any killer as long as you're good enough.

You need to prioritize yourself when you play solo. Too many selfish or really bad players in solo queue, you have to always think about your survival first. I always run Plunderers and Self Care. Plunderers is great for the chance at getting a key and Self Care is great since 8 out of 10 times you can't rely on your teammates. Inner Strength is better than Self Care if you're good at finding totems.
I wouldn't recommend bringing a key because that'll be just the excuse the killer would use to justify their tunneling. Instead, I recommend you just stop bringing bond because all it will do is let bad teammates bring the killer to you.
Another thing you should do is hide near a gen at the start of the match. Then when the killer finishes their patrol of that gen, you work on it while he goes to look for others. Play as stealthily as the match would allow you. The moment the killer downs someone, get in a locker before he picks them up since most run BBQ. Once they're hooked, go back to the gen if the hooked person is on their first hook and they have hang time.
If you find yourself as the last one left in endgame, Hope! is a nifty perk to have. Hide by a gate, wait for the killer to come and see if you're there and then power it up to the point just before the first light comes on and go back to hiding. Wait for the killer to do another pass by and then proceed to open the door. Hope! will let you open it 15% faster.
I know stealth is frowned upon by most players, but when playing solo, it really is a must if you want to last long. It's also a great way to punish sweaty killers who want to tunnel and camp from the start. I always run Spine Chill and the moment it flickers, I'm off of the gen and into the shadows I go. It wastes a lot of time for the killer since many of them pretend to leave and always come back 5-6 seconds later, multiple times. Some even waste much more time looking for me in lockers and then behind rocks and trees, while I vanished in the opposite direction.
Hope! will let you open it 15% faster.
You mean Wake Up

Guess they watched too much of CowsIAM π€
-
I used to play with that perk back then but i dropped it once i got a feeling on how to find survivors early on.
I don't really care if i find the last guy or not.
The only time i wish i had it is when i'm playing against really immersed survivors but that doesn't happen too often, fortunately
-
Just forcing to spawn all survivors tohether would be a great start.
Nothing is worse than having all survivors spawn on different gens.

Same. It feels like since the ruin rework, the amount of newb survivors in red ranks went up. I see rank 5 survivors who drop pallets prematurely. Makes me ask "how did you make it this far?"
I think the new rank reset was the main thing.
It's so damn easy to get and stay in red ranks now

Just played 2 games where borrowed having this woulda helped. One where a ghostface hid behind some rocks near the hook but not right at it so he could just instantly come out of hiding and down the unhooked. And another where a bubba did the classic hide outside of the killer shack with insidious making borrowed useless. Kinda annoying that it gets so hard countered sometimes. Ive had ghostfaces proxycamp the hook before then when someones about to unhook they just go into nightshroud so borrowed doesn't activate. And freddy basically makes the perk useless if he proxycamps by just smacking the unhooker. I know they had this limitation on its first form where it protected both players but now it just seems like a hindrance. Maybe its just me though i always go after the unhooker so i never deal with borrowed that often but playing survivor you see it's weaknesses hard in some scenarios.
Sure why not.
But i also really want to see a change that lets the survivor with the BT effect lose collision so he can't body block me as the killer from his teammate

it didnt get changed.
Offerings were always designed to directly affect the game, give advantages to whoever played them.
Map offerings let you select the realm you wish to go to, Hook offerings let you increase / decrease the amount of available hooks, Hatch offerings let you force a Hatch spawn on a certain location, etc.
the only Offerings this doesnt apply to are the bonus BP offerings, which are just there.
Moris are ment to be affecting the trial you play in.
obviously their original design was absolutely busted and the second design was unhealthy, but that doesnt mean they'd have to be useless. a one hook on everyone requirement would instantly make them a lot healthier for the game: they would be powerfull enough to pose a threat (so they'd be worth the BP / offering status they have), while also encouraging nice behavior from the killer and even going as far as giving the survivors a way to counter them.

I'm not exactly sure if this change would be better.
All it does is force the 4th survivor to hide to deny the mori which isn't fun and will indirectly carry the killer.
Sure, moris aren't extremely good right now but offerings shouldn't have a huge impact on the match anyway.

IMO the Prestige of Oni is Lackluster. For a Killer who is just brutal(appearance, Mori) and has his power connected to blood, there is way too less blood on him.
The Rift-Skin on the other hand just looks awesome. I just hope they fix it that you see the arrows in your PoV when using the Demon Dash.
Yeah, the P3 skin is a bit lackluster and could use some more blood (especially in the hair of the mask).I don't really understand why they've been so hesitant with the P3 Skins.
The only good one we got after a lot of boring ones was Pyramid Head.
I'm just waiting for the Halloween Event at this point.Oni deserves more good looking Skins :(

Saying that Friday died like Last Year is a bit of a... reversed situation.
Friday died because of the lawsuit and Miller winning, the devs also abandoned the project (whether or not you believe that the lawsuit was a chance to run away or not). However, Friday STILL has a LOT of players on console. No content was coming out for at least a few years now, and I still get lobbies on PS4. Not sure about PC, I heard Xbox lobbies are also alive though.
Last Year had the opposite situation. I think the bad, unlucky start on Discord pulling the plug on their store, plus the balancing issues that continued to be a constantly switching power role between classmate and fiend when it finally made it to Steam was what really stopped the game from taking off. Covid put the nail in the coffin: They were going to get a publisher deal, the contract just needed to be signed, but Covid ruined that chance for them. Something happened to the publishers and they had to cancel the deal.
It's like someone up above decreed that their game would be hampered with by unlucky circumstances.
I know they didn't die because of the same reason.
What matters is that they couldn't beat DbD or at least be competitive with it
-
I guess they think it's not worth to put ressources into it which i agree with.
Would be a nice QoL for solo players but there are far more important QoL changes that i want to see.
