Wouldn't this be cool
Not to be selfish to the dbd developers but they're missing out on something big, every popular game owns this "feature" and if dbd added it, it'll make it more popular.
What about Emotes:
I am well aware there is "Toxic" behaviour (No irony) in the dbd community but still, if this idea could work, then it'll be awesome. To balance out the concept, killers will have emotes as well, obviously you would need more Licenses but it shouldn't be too hard, I hope.
Just Imagine, dbd could have actually "Actions" as emotes like eating a pizza or maybe an interactive emote which you could do with other survivors.
I think this is a concept which this game, no every game needs, what do you think?

This is a "horror" game, not some kids game. Besides they've got better things to work on.
Probably won't fit the theme.
F**k no.
I'd like to have some emotes for comunication, like crossing arms to say stop, or whistle to call someone.
But bugs bunny style emotes and fortnite dances will make this game look stupid.
Like said here, I don't think emotes like "pizza eating" and similar would fit, but rather more communicative emotes. We only have two, pointing and arm waving. I rather have that kind of emotes, it makes communicating with randoms easier and wouldn't feel out of place.
Hope this a wind up mate, we got a Kpop star now, neon clothes and FNAF will be here one day ๐
A kpop star that is a trickster. If you're really going to make that your argument then atleast read the lore first where it makes sense, which goes for both the new chapter and FNAF.
Erm, no.
No Fortnite dance emotes ? ๐ข
How is he a trickster exactly? He carries 60 knives cos 75% of them miss the target. He should be called the showman or fancyboy. As far as im concerned, this game is for kids now if you are being chased by a slim bloke with pink hair.
TL/DR at the bottom if you're not bothered to read this.
Aight so clearly you didn't read the lore, but I'll explain it to the best of my ability.
The Trickster, when he was a child, worked in his parents restaurant doing tricks with knives, earning money for his family from impressed tourists.
His name, The Trickster, has a double meaning, but I'll get to that later.
His band that he was in originally were in an accident in which the studio burned down, and he was the only survivor of it. Due to such, he got a lot of attention, which he relished. He loved being in the spotlight.
Move on to when he started to make more songs, he'd often kidnap or trick his victims into coming with him which he could do easily with his charisma.
After kidnapping them or tricking them into coming with him, he'd torture them and record the noises they made such as screams of pain, and he'd add them into his songs. People didn't suspect a thing.
With his charisma he could also easily convince people that he wasn't evil. He's kind of similar to a character named Iago from Othello, idk if you've read/watched it but they're both deceiving characters who everyone believes is innocent and couldn't step a foot wrong.
Finally, he looks this way because who would think he would be a killer? That is the whole point of him. He's not supposed to seem like someone scary who's about to kill you, he doesn't look like someone who's tortured multiple people for self gain. He just looks a bit out of the ordinary and that's what the design team was going for.
Due to all this, he's a Trickster through his weaponry, a Trickster through his victims, a Trickster through his looks and a Trickster amongst anyone close to him, meaning that this name fits him perfectly.
Also, if you look at a game like that, then Resident Evil is just a zombies game, which kids play all the time. Until Dawn is just a game with some random creature. Any game is for kids if you look at it that way.
TL/DR: With how he captured his victims, convinced others he was innocent, how he never looked evil and used knives for tricks when we was younger, he is a Trickster, not just some kpop guy with neon hair.
No fortnite dance emotes, but if you want we can have Roblox dance emotes instead cause everyone wants those ๐
Doesn't matter is dead by daylight is for adults, I know full well a lot of people who are under 18 play this game. The pizza "emote" was a joke but I was serious about Interactive emotes, if not emotes then just gestures.
Just Imagine this scenario
Your looping the killer, you hold the "Emote button" and put out your hand out. If another survivor has the same "Gesture/Emote" then your can preform a High Five, Mid chase.
