My heart says that it would be the version during the Enteral Blight event - purely because it was around the time when I first picked up the game and I'm very fond of looking back at the memories of when I first started playing.
Reminds me of how far I've come in terms of understanding and playing the game and of how much more I have to learn...
But in terms of a more logical approach, I would say that this version is the best it has ever been in terms of awesome new chase themes, more content and the much appreciated prestige and bloodweb changes.
I will forever mourn Space Billy, regardless (though I do see why he isn't with us anymore).

I don't think so, as I was playing as killer and got a survivor item twice - so I think it would work the other way around too.

Absolutely yes, as soon as I saw the new charm for him; I thought to myself 'wouldn't it be a great idea to do one of those Charity Case things to raise funds?'
The Dev's adding in the Warrior Puppers charm has got to be one of the most wholesome things I've seen so far this year (and they added it right before the Light In The Fog event too.) 💙

Hey all, this is turning out to be a really interesting discussion to read through. 👍
I absolutely feel the sentiment on both Doctor and Artist being so difficult on this map due to the elevation.
Also I would add to the discussion that (for me at least) hook dead-zones do seem quite common and I need to be much more thoughtful of where I hook. Does anyone else have that issue?

Yes, some appear to be slightly transparent from what I've seen (I haven't had the chance to play it yet but will do today.)
I'm not sure if the Nurse's one is bugged, as that one is very clear?

Nope, you'll start anew every match and can carry up to 15 Void energy at a time.

I9 with a 3090 is overkill for pretty much everything right now, but as you say, you won't have to upgrade those for a long while.
I built an I7 system in 2011 and was still running the newest games at High+ though like 2017-18 (with GPU upgrades), and it only became totally obsolete and retired in 2020.
I am currently running a Ryzen 9/3080 combo and don't expect to have to build an entirely new machine for at least 5-7 years.
You just can't get that kind of lifespan out of a laptop.

Absolutely. You wouldn’t have to replace or upgrade with a 30 series and i9 for awhile. I’m currently running a 3090 with the i9. Overkill for DBD, but I stream and game off the same tower so it helps to manage everything easily. Also let’s me play CoD and battlefield with a nice FPS.

Rancor and Nemesis (the other two perks can be whatever you want - for ultimate memes, leave the slots empty.)
When the last gen pops - try to chase and bait survivors into stunning or blinding you and see how many mori's you can get.
Sometimes it works - sometimes it doesn't (the most I've ever got through this was 3.)

For my mains I have,
P10 Huntress and Pyramid Head,
P9 Nea,
and P4 Wesker.
Also P1 on all killers (aside from Sadako, who I brought yesterday.)

When I finally get back round to trying Blight again - I need that add-on that lets me see where I'm going to bounce off of.
I jokingly call it a my 'training wheel add-on', but it's really useful for me, as I'm still learning.
Same with the Nurse one that lets you see where your blinks will land (though I rarely play as her.)

Yes, this new change has been much more noticeable for me too in terms of grind reduction.
With just over 1mil BP, I'm now able to get a full Prestige level (following the nodes to unlock as many perks as possible).
Beforehand, I doubt if this would have been possible; so thank you 👍

Personally I play him over others currently because;
The chase music is awesome,
I want to take the time to learn how to play as him,
I personally struggle a lot more with Demo, Oni, Hillbilly and Blight than what I do with Wesker (even with the current bugs). I think that's just me though.
Also, once the hype has died down; I think I'll still play as him because (when it works) it's fun to just throw survivors into objects.
And the trash talking he does is pretty amusing.
No ground breaking and completely game changing reasons to be playing him, I know - but I enjoy it for now and that's all that matters for me.
Though I do hope the bugs get fixed and the Virulent Bound hitbox gets increased slightly.

I can't say much in contrast to the PTB version as we were on holiday when it was live - so I didn't get a chance to try it out...
Having said that - it definitely seems as though they over nerfed the hitbox on his dash.
Though fun to play as in his current state (even with the bugs in mind) - it gets annoying when I start sliding right through survivors and can't land hits that Demo would easily get.
Yes, he does require skill - but the hitbox is far too small as it is right now.

Yes, a couple of times.
My first main was Pig after purchasing the Saw DLC.
After a good few (four, I think?) months or so with her, I changed to Pyramid Head who I mained for a good while longer.
I've recently moved to Huntress who I've stayed with for a couple of months now.

Reduce the grind to make the game feel more rewarding.
Better optimization in general.
The ability to mix and match cosmetics in store that you haven't brought yet (a try before you buy sort of thing.)
A search bar for perks.

I've always wanted an elderly woman in DbD, most of our female characters are quite young at the moment and it would be nice to see some more diversity in age and body types.
Also, it would be amazing to have a badass old lady in game. I'd love that.

Not for me.
I've been looking at playing killer currently as a place to hone my skills (namely hatchet throwing) and to focus on how to end chases faster.
I don't focus now on who wins - just my own personal experience and slow improvement (with a lot of mistakes along the way.)
It's not the ideal way to look at a 4v1 game, but it is the least stressful so far and I have fun too.

Absolutely not. I usually get a free hit from this kind of behaviour, so I'm certainly not complaining.
I just take it as a sign that they must be very committed to completing thier objective (usually to the point of getting hooked soon after). I respect that dedication and continue with the match as normal.
But if you teabag/clicky-click after doing a gen in my face? That respect for you has vanished, I'm afraid.
Other than that, it's fine. 👍

For me personally,
- Frame rate issues and lag. I know I'm running under the recommended specs here, but I can't shell out for a new laptop right now. Kind of a me issue, but still annoying.
- The Grind and what feels like an unrewarding Prestige system.
- Ghostface's chase music, unfortunately. I really want to like it, but I don't. Everything else with it is great, but the Chase part is distracting and disorientating, for me.
- DC's when I'm trying for an Adept as killer.
- Small issue, but not being able to try on different outfit combinations before you buy, is kind of annoying.
And that's about it, for me.

It's in the chase music... Still gives me chills even now. It's really well done and remains one of my favourites.

A bit more stuttering than usual. Enough to be noticeable.
On my first game since the update - my computer straight up restarted and kicked me out (I still don't know if that was a hardware issue on my side or not.) But I was low-key terrified the game had become too much to handle for my laptop.
Luckily, it works for me. Just noticeably more stuttering (I always have my graphics on Low.)

They simply looked so much more better in game than what we have now, in my opinion.

From what I've heard and feel myself, it's about representation...
I just don't see the point of bringing it up in a post about a technical issue (to use a light term - as it sounds like it's unplayable for you currently).
And I'd like better optimization too (mine still disconnects at random at least three times every month - on the lowest graphics setting) Though I am running under the recommended specs.
I know it won't help now, but I can go post the specs if anyone here wants me to?

I know the specs are advertised on Steam (in the small print).
Where did you buy your copy from?
Do let us know the outcome of your refund though - as I'm sure you can't be the only one having this issue.

Sorry, but what does an erection have to do with Frame-rates? I fail to see the correlation, myself.
Regardless, your refund would depend upon where you brought the game from and thier own policies.
Try bringing it up with whoever sold you it and mention the frame rate and optimization issues. If you've had the game for a while, they will most likely choose not to refund you - but it's worth a shot anyway.
