The last discussion I wanted to comment this on was closed, so quickly posting it here...
My own take on the situation:
(No-one asked for it, but, well... here I am.)
So I'm glad these are getting removed; admittedly they were a nice way to earn new cosmetics - but if these masks were being used as a tool to target those of colour, then I want them removed for the sake of those that have been targeted.
Will this end racism in the game? No, but it's a step in the right direction.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to apologize on behalf of anyone affected by racism either in or outside the game.

I always check out a TTV after a match to see the game from thier perspective. Most of the time they aren't streaming - but the one time there was; the dude was really nice and chill.
I even met him in a PTB match later on as killer, to my surprise and I now follow him on Twicth.

My favourite skin is his P3 skin (still waiting on more unlinked cosmetic pieces - though I doubt it's going to happen.)
My favourite add ons are all his POTD range add ons.
I've yet to have a Pryamid Head match with James Sunderland in it...

I love them. It usually hands me a lot of free downs if I'm expecting it.
If I'm not expecting it, then hey; good job and well played too.

A mixture of both really, I generally sway towards the darker colours anyway - so picking stylish and stealthy cosmetics are both quite similar for me.

Playing killer can be stressful at times, I've got to admit.

I saw her quite a bit during the first week of her release (roughly 2-3/5 matches) and since that week I think I've only done against her twice.

I've been using A Nurses Calling and I'm All Ears for some sweet behind the wall hits - and it works great so far.

Everyone knows the dizzying highs and frustrating lows of Solo queue.
Load into a match against a Spirit. My teammates were not doing well. Not at all (thanks MMR).
Long story short;
I did all the hook saves.
I did two generators, when one of my teammates gets hooked a second time. I run for the save, because this one Kate was nowhere to be found. I thought maybe the Kate was AFK somewhere. At one point, my 2 teammates were on their second hook. I'm on a gen and I think- "can't this Kate get ONE bloody save?". But I soon realize Kate has no intention of helping even though they've never been hooked. I run for the saves, but Spirit is camping (the hooks were close together). I lead the Spirit away, halfway across the map. Loops, pallet stuns, I escape after being injured only to see these two team mates struggle for the entire duration and be sacrificed.
Kate didn't bother to try for them while I was trying to get the Killer as far as possible. REALLY annoying. So there I am, and I see this Kate creeping around across the map and think; "What the hell have you been doing all game???". At that point I had done 2/3 gens (the dead team mates did the other) I did ALL the hook saves. ALL the looping.
I even manage to finish a 3rd generator on my own while there were just the 2 of us left. Kate and her map is basically HIDING, trying to wait out me being found. I jump into a snowman and start goofing around because it was so ridiculous at this point, and if I got hooked, I knew the Kate would leave me to die.
Finally, FINALLY the Spirit must have found wherever this team mate was crouching and hooks her. I'm so put off that no- I didn't try for the save. The Spirit was sticking really close to the hook anyways. The Kate starts waving her arms, and yes. I teabag. I TEABAGGED so she can see my teabagging aura. This selfish person did absolutely nothing to help or save their team mates the entire game, so why should they expect their team mates to help them?
Kate goes to struggle and dies, I get the hatch by the skin of my teeth (literally was hit on the way out).
End game stats: I had 27k+ bloodpoints.
The Kate had 6,900k
The other two had below 6k. (once again, THANKS MMR!)
I get a message from Kate: "You have been reported to Playstation Safety for working with the Killer".
I reply: "I wasn't working with the Killer, you dummy. You did nothing all game. I kept the Killer occupied across the map in a chase and you didn't even attempt to save your team mates. You did no gens. If you don't help your team, don't expect your team to help you."
Kate: "Reported for abuse!"
I'm not sorry. Would you be?
Ahh, the joys of solo queue. At least your MMR went up after that match, I presume.

I literally just had the same thing happen to me while waiting on the lobby (I'm on Steam too).

I've played against some smaller streamers. One memorable one is Swifybaps - he was streaming on both of my matches against him; once as me playing pig on Gideon and the other as me playing Pinhead in the PTB.
Really nice and chill guy, I now follow him on Twicth.

Apparently the translation is less than wonderful 🧍
I've found a free preview on Google Books for the translated version and it is a bit mediocre from the little I can tell so far...
Hopefully there's a better translation out there someday

Since the winter Bone Chill event update, it's been game crashes as Killer.
As survivor, it happens less often.

To be honest, I never knew about the book til the chapter announcement - so it'll be interesting to read the original work that led to such a widely known movie.

Usually, I offer support to the player being harassed and report the person being mean.
If it's me who's getting attacked, I usually go for the standard 'Chill dude, it's a video game.' and leave it at that with a report.

I meant I didn't understand the cutscene. She's having a nightmare, she's on stage, then she disappears. Eh... Not enough story for me to follow. I'd rather see her being chased in the realm while fondling some huge glowing bones or some other cool ######### that shows maybe how much of a team player she can be.
It's connected to her lore - if you don't read it, you won't really understand it much.

I like it too. As long as they don't mess it up (if you know what I mean) I'm happy for every killer to have an original chase theme.

Same goes for the "why have you not cared about it until now?" argument. Most likely people haven't cared because it hasn't affected a part of their life in a way they either realise or can do anything about.
As people who love DBD, we dont want to be associated with NFTs because of their negative impact, and as a community have the power to stop BHVR from continuing with this awful decision. Is it so bad to be passionate? And to want the best for the company behind our favourite game?
Yeah, I didn't get the "you're just sheep" argument either myself. Especially seeming as they'd commented on what took me a whole 22 minutes to explain what an NFT was to someone who wanted to know.

Hey, I might still play the game tonight; but I'm not spending money on it for a long while.
Wasn't really planning to anyway, but I definitely won't now. I feel like if I drop a load of cash into the game, BHVR will be thinking that they made the right call.
