The other connection is that the ‘5’ looks a similar shape to some of the weapons the village folk use in RE4. So the chapter could possibly be Leon + something from RE4?

I used to use it a lot in solo lobbies. It’s quite fun to use, especially against basement proxy campers. It is used a lot more by SWF though, so I can see why people find it annoying to face.

Where exactly did I claim that any of these things wouldn’t greatly change his whole fantasy and style? My point was, which you clearly missed, was that if he was the exact same killer we have now. Same power. But, instead of being a KPOP singer he was a teacher or a dentist, it shouldn’t be relevant to him being in the game. People said that KPOP doesn’t belong in a horror game. But why would a dentist or a teacher fit any better? What he did for a job shouldn’t matter. Him being a psychopath who abducts and tortures people is what makes him fit in the game.
Now I’m not going to keep having a back and forth with you as you’re making me lose brain cells. But feel free to reply. Just don’t expect one in return. 😘

If he was a space alien spiting dart, a shadow throwing glass shard of pure darkness or a manikin with a nail gun it would GREATLY change his whole fantasy and style.

I get that you like him, but you are trying way to hard to justify his existance while sidestepping the main point about him : the fantasy they decided to give him. Hell, by your description he is basically the very same type of kille than Legion.
I’m not trying too hard to justify anything. But if that narrative makes you feel better, go right ahead. 🙃

As I said, I dont hate it, but you have to admit he is by far the nichiest killer when it comes to fantasy, something that will only speak to people that know what a yandere means and what Kpop is about.
The reason I said to ignore the KPOP element is because when he was first announced people were like “I DON’T LIKE KPOP” and “KPOP ISN’T HORROR” but it shouldn’t be relevant, because if he was a dentist or a school teacher, why does it matter? The key part to him being in the game is that he’s a serial killer.
The psychopath comment was in reference to him being an ACTUAL psychopath. Most of the other killers in the game are complete fiction. Would you ever encounter Freddy Krueger or Blight in real life? No. But people like Trickster do exist. Tricker isn’t supposed to be some disfigured monster as he’s supposed to look like a real person. Which is why I brought up Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer. Two serial killers who have been described as being charming. Which is why Trickster has that same allure.
I personally don’t find this chapter to be niche. But each to their own I guess. 🤷🏻♂️

And after the already very niche "medieval mutant french farm girl with lil baby brother half phetus tumor growing on her chest" killer, I'm starting to feel like the "creative team" is trying a bit too hard and probably should ring it in to some of the most comon (and still missing) horror trops for DbD.
I don’t mind niche chapters to be honest as it makes it feel more fresh. We already have a lot of common horror tropes in the game, such as a clown, a spirit, masked serial killers etc so I like getting ones you wouldn’t think of like Doctor and Deathslinger.
I personally don’t find Trickster to be that niche. Ignoring the KPOP element, he’s just a psychopath. He’s supposed to be similar to true crime killers like Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer. People who come off as charming but are complete evil.

I don’t agree. I’ve seen plenty of things get released from the PTB that people didn’t like and they were changed at a later date. Blights POV is just one of those things. Pretty much everyone I saw said it was too low and now it’s finally been adjusted.
I won’t be shocked if Trickster gets a buff to his movement speed just like Legion did.

Gameplay-wise? Not good. The 2 best chapters in terms of gameplay and design wise are the SIlent Hill and Stranger Things chapter imo.
Still better than binding of kin tho, that chapter was bad in every way.
I love both of those chapters. The only true downside to this chapter for me is the lack of map. But I saw something on Twitter the other day and whoever runs the DBD account said that they’re not ruling out releasing maps at a later date. So hopefully. 🤞🏻

but the best i think the best chapter yet IS DEF either halloween , nightmare on elm street or stranger things
these chapters have some interesting looking maps and great killers and survivors , with some perks that is fun and so on the changed the game imo . Interesting abilites and fun ones with interesting lores .
Halloween and Stranger Things are in my top 5. Michael and Demogorgon are 2 of my mains. But, when I take into consideration the killer, survivor, menu, perks and cosmetics, All-Kill wins for me.

In this scenario the one being chased should lead the killer as far away from the generator as possible and the other survivor should get back on it. But when this happens to me, the other survivor has normally ran all the way to Spain instead of being helpful. 🙃

But how is Spirit Fury a counter to what I said? A perk is not counter play, because how are you supposed to know what the other side are using? It’s like saying that Calm Spirit is counter play to Doctor. Or that Urban Evasion is counter play to Hag. That ‘logic’ would only work if you knew what killer / perks you were going against each match. But until that happens (it won’t) it isn’t legit counter play. So like I said, by YOUR logic and not mine, Iron Maiden is counter play to Head On, because they become an insta-down after exiting the locker. 🙃

Yeah? Believe Spirit Fury might say something to that. I agree with OP, don’t see why a Killer can’t stake a whole perk slot to counter a specific perk. Not like BHVR doesn’t do that all the time.

I agree. I’ve gone against the typical ‘bully’ squad 4-man teams a lot and Deathslinger just wipes the floor with them. They’re all just sheep. It’s laughable how alike they all are. You’ll get one trying to do generators and the rest trying to make you chase them. My favourite part is when they go from cocky to being gen jockeys after they’ve realised you don’t fall for their tricks. 😈

If you know they’re in the locker, it’s really easy to make them miss. If your issue is for when you don’t know they’re in a locker, how is that any different than somebody getting a surprise pallet stun? There’s no ‘counter play’ to that either. 🥴

That’s not true. I body block in solo lobbies all the time. If somebody has been getting carried for a while I’ll take a hit at the hook to see if they can wiggle free.

I accidentally went into Call of Duty mode last night with Deathslinger. Tried hitting someone using R3 (melee) instead of R2 and was confused why I didn't swing at them
This happened to me when I went from playing Killing Floor 2 back to DBD. I kept trying to throw grenades at survivors. 🥴🤣

I will hard tunnel Survivors off the hook to eat their DS early in the game, because DS is such a loosely restricted perk (on Live) that it is far more damaging for me to let them keep such a powerful perk in their arsenal. Plus, it let's me tunnel them out at my choosing later in the game, if I need to do so.
Well you’re not really disagreeing with the second part, you’re talking about something entirely different lol. You tunnel when there is an Obsession. A lot of killers will slug or ignore recently unhooked survivors when there’s an Obsession, out of fear of being hit with DS.
I don’t use DS, so I’m screwed either way, but I know I’m less likely to be tunnelled in a lobby with an Obsession. So that’s why it is a problem that should be addressed.
I just think it’s stupid that a killer basically gets a green light to tunnel from the start of the match. It’s not healthy at all.

The people that complain about DS are the same that hard tunnel survivors off the hook when there’s no Obsession. This community is filled with such bias.

Legion have the best Mori in the game. But I think Trickster’s is better than Oni and Ghostface (who he’s currently losing against).

One of my favourite killers to play as. He’s in my top 5. I don’t think he’s weak at all and even if he was, I have a ton of fun playing as him and that’s what I’m looking for when I play. It’s so satisfying landing a shred attack when somebody tries to vault and I like being able to place traps near generators to utilise PGTW and BBQ. I have no problem with him in red ranks. Plus, he’s such a good boy.

I know it is just my opinion, but do you see what I mean? The old style is perfect, but the new one... just doesn't feel right.
I’m hoping they eventually implement the ability to change the menu theme as I would love to have the Hallowed Blight menu all year round.

I love when a Ghostface farms as he just looks so cute sat teabagging with the survivors. I like violently nodding at survivors and seeing them doing it back. Going against Michael. I’ll always get a thrill from seeing him stood in the distance stalking. He’s just so fun to play against. Shirtless David.

I haven’t done this but I always without fail, sit there waiting for the killer to have brought a Mori on the offering screen and then I remember I am the killer. 🤦🏻♂️

It’s not OP on any killer as it’s highly dependent on survivors actions. It is extremely satisfying when you get it to work though. I personally don’t enjoy endgame perks as I want to kill everybody before that point.
