BBQ is really 2 perks (aura and points). W'e're Going To Live Forever only awards points for survivor so why not split that BBQ into 2 perks? Or, remove the aura for those already hooked once.

Also, when only survivors are left, it's a bit OP - possibly remove the aura at that point if the above isn't done.

Most killers SAY they only run it for the points so splitting it, or removing the aura for those hooked once should be acceptable to all.

Or they should just buff We're gonna live forever, which is actually a great idea if you think about it.

  • BBQ and Chilli is useful for many reasons, the bonus BP and the aura reading ability. In my opinion, one of the best situations for BBQ and Chilli is whenever there are only 2 remaining survivors left. Usually the last survivor would wait for the survivor on the hook to die and go and find the hatch (unless it's a SWF group.) BBQ and Chilli would show you the aura of the final person and where they're hiding and you wouldn't have to have a hatch standoff most of the time.

Hey all, so I've been having some odd experience with recommendation vs usage of perks. I have asked for a lot of tips and help and generally get very helpful results, and as expected some recommendations don't work but everyone has their own strategy and I understand that. However more often then not I get A LOT of recommendations to use the perk BBQ & Chilli. I recently went for and got the "Adept Cannibal" trophy and obviously to do that I had to use the perk and it was the first time using it considering I don't have any teachable perks yet from the shrine. I was excited to use what I assumed would be an excellent perk.

However, in practice it was close to useless to me. Every time I hooked a survivor I would head straight to the revealed location of the survivor even taking a path that would cut them off when i watch what direction they're moving. By the time i get to the point I should run into the survivors, i do a quick search for anywhere they could be hiding and somehow they manage to get to the hook. I have tried using this perk in a variety of different ways and it has never helped.

Am I using it wrong? Am i suppose to see if someones aura is NOT shown and search the close proximity? Because i did that too. I dunno why so many people gush over this perk, it doesn't seem all that good.

BBQ and Chilli is a great perk for both uses, the bloodpoints and the aura reading ability. In my opinion, one of the best ways that BBQ and Chilli helps is whenever there are only 2 remaining survivors. Most of the time, the last survivor would let the last survivor on the hook die and find the hatch (unless its a SWF.) BBQ and Chilli would show you where the last survivor is hiding and you wouldn't always have to have a hatch standoff.

Never said it was guaranteed, you could easily get smacked twice. Maybe it would be better if you didn't get it if the exit gates were open, or if the killer was within around 5 meters of you?

You. Don't. Deserve. A. Free. Second. Chance. Just. For. Being. Lucky.
That's all you want, another free second chance to add to the list of free second chances.

**yeah well if killer could face camp someone for no reason thats a guaranteed loss. Survivors are supposed to get second chances, it's what makes the game fair.

I can buy with ingame shards one of them which one is more fun?

I would say clown is more fun, spirit has pretty good perks though. Kinda depends on your perk setup and play style though. Clown has bamboozle which increases vault speed by 15%, which is really fast with fire up also. Coulrophobia is really good with the latest update that increases healing time and paired with perks that increase healing time. Haunted Grounds is good with other HEX perks, Rancor is good with other obsession perks and spirit fury is good with enduring. All depends on your playstyle.

but you should go for clown lmao

What is your rationale for saving someone off of the hook immediately after they get hooked? You do realize you have like 20 seconds before they even hit phase 2, right? What could possibly be your rationale behind getting someone off the hook so quickly that the killer doesn't even have enough time to go somewhere else, and instead they just come back around to get the easy sacrifice on the person you just "saved".

I'm amazed at the level of play this just continues to happen in its like some innate lemming mentality to just immediately act without thinking of 3+ variables. It is a free game though, so not exactly sure what to expect. Anyway feel free to provide useless input like "git gud" but I'd really like to hear one of these minion's thought processes.

They probably get exited because they have Borrowed Time so they try getting it to actually work. If they don't have borrowed time, its usually in a SWF group and the survivor tells his friends, "Watch this" and you end up dying.

These are just some ideas for now, not minding balance too much. Just felt like presenting some ideas. :)

    Brutal Grasp:

    • Your boiling blood and anger allows you to be extremly vicious in a chase. When lunging and hitting a vaulting survivor, hit the action key to initiate 'Brutal Grasp'. You immediately grasp the survivor and drag them on your shoulder. Hit recovery from succesful attacks takes 25/20/15% longer.

    Entity's grip:

    • The Entity shares in your desire for the hooked survivor, allowing it a tighter grip on your prey. Unhooking a Survivor takes 1/2/3 second/s longer and you gain 50/75/100% more bloodpoints in the sacrifice category.

These are some ideas I had along with some Killers I thought of. I would be glad to hear what you folks think, maybe even share some of your ideas. Until then have fun with the event fellow fog traverlers!

First one should be a 1 time thing, like DS, second one is actually a good idea and I like.

----------What do you guys think about Stridor currently?---------

This is a perk that I used to run all the time back in the day before the sound changes and I felt like it really made a big difference and was extremely noticeable. I also liked the extra skill factor involved allowing me to try and rely on my hearing a little more for outplays. However, since the sound changes from quite a while back I feel like this perk just isn't that good at all anymore. Even when using it on a killer that it should be amazing and have a lot of synergy with like The Spirit, it just feels bad. I can barely even tell a difference between using it and not using it.

I think it could use a little buff by increasing the sound more than it currently does and maybe even make it a little more directional for readability. I'd just like to get it feeling a little closer to how good it used to be.

I really like stridor, i used it on the nurse back in like august and september and it seemed really good for being only level 2. Stridor was really good. I don't know when the changes were, but if they were after i used it then i would agree with you.

  • I actually really agree with this, only issue i see is that level 3 for both perks could be too high and slowing down crawling speed and recovery speed might be a bit too much, but it does actually put more of a use to killer addons that apply these affects. I really hope this could actually be a buff to the game.

It is a problem. I wish once your vial was full that you could continue harvesting, but it would be evenly distributed to the survivor's who's vial isn't full. That would solve most of the issues with this event on the survivor side. You could still work toward the bonus bloodpoints while helping your team mates.

They want it to be a competition between Survivors. Mind that.

You get more Nektar when working on the same plant with your friends than doing it alone. Working together on the plants is highly beneficial towards your event progressing, so how is that a competition?

im pretty sure you get the same amount, it just goes faster.

  • Lemme just rub yo back real quick to make you feel better. Oh, what's that? You have self care? Oh ok, just scratch your stomach real quick then.

Yeah, I like your rework idea although 5 powers sounds a lil too overwhelming.

I agree with what you say about the 5 powers, but other than that the idea is cool. Also Freddy is really good for a number of things.
    1. Harder flashlight saves.
    2. When awake, the survivors have no clue where Freddy is or where he's coming from.

Those are good advantages Freddy has.

  • I know what you mean, it's just because the survivors are incredibly laggy and keep lagging forward looking like a flickered sprint burst.

  • Im getting full dwight and either full trapper or only head and body and something else for another killer.

I didn't know if I should put this in Off Topic or General, but it felt appropriate to Off Topic.

Anyways I just had a fairly toxic Dwight in a game on a map that my killer was ######### on who teabagged me at every pallet I dropped and called me garbage in the end game and told me to uninstall. The next game I got into another lobby with him and I gave it my best shot with a killer who I had actually good perks and addons on. I got a 4k that game.
In the post game chat Dwight (who was the first person sacrificed because he sprinted into the basement when I had someone hooked there like a dummy) wrote "if it isn't the ######### killer again lol came back to be trash?" (As if I join his lobbies and not the other way around.)
I asked him why he had to be so toxic and he told me "I like how you call me toxic even though I've done nothing to you."

    Teabagging constantly
"if it isn't the ######### killer again"
    "done nothing to you"

I had this 20 minutes text arguement with this guy and he gave me his address and told me to pull up. He lives in Texas lmao who wants the address?

A lot of players report too very long matchmakings, because of an excessive amount of killers or survivors trying to enter the lobby, specially on PC.

I propose the Developers to allow cross play to solve that issue: it would require minor changes about William Overback, nothing more. It would help the Community, but would be useful for the Devs, too: with just one game version, it would be easier to find and fix bugs and to implement new mechanics and chapters.

    Do you agree?

Consoles V Consoles could be a good idea, not so much for Consoles and PC together though, unless PC and console both go against Console.

I love the concept and Design of the Trapper. However, he is far to weak compared to the other Killers and not really viable above rank 15.

Let‘s start with the obvious problems. The Trapper wastes a lot of time collecting traps, carrying them across the map and setting them. The standard capacity of 1 is a far too low. The amount of time it takes to set a trap is a joke compared to how fast they can be disarmed.

Also, once Survivors have realized that they play against the Trapper, they usually don‘t fall for the traps anymore. This may have been different a year ago, but today they just know the good spots. Also, the traps hitbox is far too small. Most of the time, i only catch one or two per game, if at all. Well, catch is an exaggeration. They get trapped but free themselves in under 5 seconds. And this is not an exaggeration. They free themselves almost instantly.

Considering how hard it is to trap a survivor in the first place, this is all I get? An almost instant escape and the survivor only gets injured? Of course only if he was healthy before. There is no consequence at all for an injured survivor to get caught.

What the Trapper needs in my opinion is a considerable buff of his base kit. Trapped survivors should not be able to free themselves. Alternatively, survivors could be put in the dying state by the trap. The traps should be harder to see, have a larger trigger radius and disarming them should take longer and be a lot harder, maybe with a hard skill check. Failing the skill check would cause the survivor the be trapped.

This may sound over the top, but I honestly believe that even all those buffs combined would not make the Trapper OP. His current state is a shame tbh.

    What do you guys think?

I think the trapper is in a very good state atm, especially with the kinda recent new and faster animation. If you're getting looped you could just place a trap around it so they cant loop you anymore. I have a lot of fun playing trapper and I might buy the blight outfit for him just because I enjoy him a lot. I will admit, his addons aren't the greatest. I say a 2 bear trap hold by default would be really nice and maybe add better ultra rare addons?

As survivor I just need to run around the map for 2 minutes and already got the vial filled.

    Try that as killer.

Yes thats exactly true. Youre saying it doesn't take long to do survivors vials. I said it takes long to do killer vials, but killer is easier. You literally just play the game. Playing killer: put suvivors on hooks. Playing killer in the event: Put suvivors on hooks but orange. Yes survivor is quicker but not easier.

Also wrong. Since killers can get unlucky with the event hook spawns. They might spawn at the other end of the map.

Lmao yeah, The swamp is so broken they all spawn in the same spot. But still killers could get unlucky with regular hook spawns if none are close. Its just that killers have to worry about less, and plus everyone always runs sTupId iROn grASp.

    Disagree

you can walk into a hallway with another survivor and you would be sandbagging them even though you clearly arent touching them. Big hitboxes are good for vacuums but there are no pallet vacuums so they should reduce the hitbox size.

Almost everyone runs those perks for event hooks, but when the event passes so does the perKS

I just don't like plans, any plans, that revolve around having specific perks. The Bloodweb is still governed by RNGesus, after all.

New people, new killers, or just bad luck might mean someone doesn't have it.

Yeah makes sense as i dont have dead hard for my dwight as i leveled him past 50 at least 20-30 times. New players would get it easier too as no teachables will interrupt the RNG. Same thing with borrowed time could be said as a counter-argument too.

The best counter to 360s are to not swing at all and then the survivors get confused.
