If you're watching a streamer throwing a pebble at a killer then you're not watching the right streamer.

Also. Streamer's opinions aren't facts. They are just... their thoughts.

    Remember that guys.

    I'm sorry Stream Patrol.

Nah. Not stream patrol at all, but millennials tend to glorify a streamer and his opinion.

So X streamer says 1 thing... and because they are "popular" that is a "thing".

When in reality it is their opinion. I've seen it happen in this forum. People take what streamers say as fact and definitive. And it's a very poor practice in thinking.

Remember when people used to critical think? I doubt it.

you talk about opinions not mattering and not meaning anything but yet you say if im watching a streamer use diversion im watch the wrong streamer lol

  • diversion is op,
    change my mind

  • For a new person to the forums, this is a really nice idea. Remove the "gen aura" thing, but killers going a little slower to give a slight chance for the camped survivor would make it possible to counter it easier than just hoping for borrowed time

yes its a nice idea. It's obviously very similar to the freddy addon, as which if they spawned with someone they could immediately be woken up and with this addon they could be healed.

Clowns and Huntresses on the walls, aiding Billies and Bubbas on the frontline, Trappers and Hags trapping near forest and outer walls, Wraiths and Piggies scouting behind the enemies lines, Spirits and Michaels - assasin their leaders! Doctors! Healthy our men!

It is well known that the Nurse is the best killer in the game. However, Spirit is eerily similar to Nurse. Both have powers that give them great map pressure and can traverse the map pretty quickly. Blinking and phase walking are very similar but have minor differences such as Spirit not being able to see survivors and Nurse having fatigue after her blinks.

My personal preference is Spirit due to her being a bit sneakier especially with the “Prayer Beads” add-on. She requires a bit more mind gaming than Nurse. I also hate looking at the ground for 70% of the round while blinking as Nurse. I do play on PS4 so I run into very few good Nurse players because it is a bit harder on console than PC.

Nurse is still the best killer on PC, but I do believe that Spirit takes the cake on console. What is everyone elses opinion on Nurse vs Spirit?

spirit because nurse is garbage on ps4 compared to pc

The moonwalk exploit is the only way he's viable and it has no decent counter. Survivors will either be downed from deep wounds or forced to mend and be downed regardless, the Devs need to rework his power asap. If players have to walk backwards in order to down a survivor then Legion suffers from flawed design.

he applies pressure, not every killer is meant to just chase survivors.

As a PC user I'm gutted that the game now runs like ass.

Well it does on the new map. Not getting any normal maps to be able to test it.

ive heard that the new map kills frames on pc

  • i play survivor more than killer and i say survivor is harder and requires more skill,
if they wanted to make surviving rates higher they could try adding offerings that increase the amount of pallets, similar to the oaks for killers.

  • surprised they didnt fix jeff
can't wait to run stridor and hear him across the map

  • I don’t get this, how is D.S. even so strong? If you’re the obsession you either get to get off the shoulders instantly or you just miss it. If you aren’t the obsession you have to wiggle first, which is much harder now because hooks are practically everywhere.

It can be strong in some cases, yes, but only a few and is very situational. The most popular being picked up at the exit gate and escaping, which is very situational. It’s like e blood warden of survivor, but no one complains about blood warden.

  • I agree I think t should be reworded. People seem to take it as hide from the killer when it means staying hidden as escaping chases by losing sight and being hidden. Pretty misleading if you ask me.

  • You can fully recover to 95%, it takes 1 second to fully pick them up if they revover. If they didn’t refover, don’t pick them up

  • Just buff the numbers

  • isn't this game the most balanced work of art

Some of that doesn't add up. You have to actively try extremely hard not to pip as a survivor.

not true you know how many games i get tunneled from the start or the killer if using some perks that make the game impossible with my stupid teammates just to lose a pip

Speaking generally here, not exceptions to the norm.

to get a safety pip you have to do around 1 gen, get chased for a round a minute, and unhook a survivor. Just saying, but its extremely hard to do that when i have no time for all these things

Those are extremely small requirements, the vast majority of players are meeting that unless you got outplayed very hard or just face camped.

the second one is about as close as you can get, basically take everything you can that killers do to make the match less fun for survivors, and thats the reasoning :)))))))))

Idk, i just have a hard time believing the main reason is the killers fault. I don't pip as survivor like 1 out of every MAYBE 12 games, if even that. I think there's outplay going on here.

when i say the killers fault, i mean everything from their perks to addons to their playstyle.

but its also mostly because of ######### teammates that crouch across the whole map instead of helping you on the hook

I mean you're basically saying it is indeed not a killer issue. It's low rank bad survivor teammates and yalls inability to hit ruin skill checks that hindered you. Even bad teammates you can make sure you aren''t found first so at least you pip. These are player skill issues preventing your pipping.

i can hit skill checks trust me, more than half of the time its because im found first and i have no time to do anything

I am not lying. Gen Rushing is a problem. First time I am above Rank 5 and I am feeling cyberbullied. This is ridiculous how survivor sided this game is. The only way to block Gen Rushing is being a perfect nurse and I can understand it's hard to balance the game but. It doesn't make any fun if I find a survivor and hook him and boom two gens done. I mean really? I don't even have a chance to "pressure" them if I am carrying a survivor which is really good at looping (at rank 5 and above everyone is good at it) and I have a Pallet Eater Demon Build (Spirit Fury, Brutal Strength, Enduring and BBQ (for farming sum points) ). Also several killers need a buff or a rework (Like freddy or piggy).
I don't want in a game where is one or two perks are essential (NOED and Ruin). Just balance your game.

Coming from playing survivor and killer (a little more survivor), i completely agree. Ruin feels like an absolute necessity, generators need to be longer. The devs said they wouldn't because they already did but it needs to be done. Make gens longer, make toolboxes go faster and consume more charges.

Breaking a pallet used to be really slow and brutal strength felt like a need to some killers so they made it 15% faster to break a pallet by default. They should really do the same with ruin and make generators somewhat more difficult and longer.

  • took me a while too, got ruin 1 on clown at level 42.
it's a lot harder to get it with so many perks unlocked as almost any can appear in each level.
it's also a lot harder to get new perks when you prestige because it makes you get better items so i never get uncommon perks. I just recently got resilience for my dwight, and if there wasn't a level cap i would be around level 90. It's sad how i get a perk available from the start at the end.

  • lol about 100 times,

That's why kindred shoukd be basekit. I hate to play solo, getting camped and my random mates are crouching around the hook instead of doing gens.
Then, the last mate across the map is asking himself "why is noone saving him?" and waste all the time to come over just to see "oh, camping" and runs back again to his gen.
That's why only swf can really punish a camper, or if u waste a perk slot for kindred

Actually most of the time SWF groups proitoritize their friends more than solos and try to save them the best they can.

  • @Morfedel said:
Ok, so this is partially whining, partially venting, I'm not only feeling salty right now, but downright bitter.

And I'm hoping someone can shine a little light on my personal darkness here.

So I've been playing a little over a month, and I'm rank 8 now on the PS4; a tiny bit higher on the PC; I alternate depending on what's going on in the household here. I play survivor exclusively because I've been concerned that killer might make me motion sick - a lot of first person shooters do that to me. Was considering maybe trying killer with rank reset just to try it out.

I play solo rather than SWF because the people I've tried to play with always have a lot of background noise on their mics and it seriously throws off my skill checks. Thank god I haven't had a lot of hunters lulliby at max stacks! :)

anyway, as I've improved in ranks, I've noticed that entire teams are getting wiped out to the killer, over and over and over. Its really, really frustrating. The last three days, almost every match I've been in has seen the killer get all four killed; in a couple of cases, with almost no gens finished as the killer was able to constantly pressure us, making it difficult to finish gens. I play quite a few matches every day, and I think the only escapes I've seen on my teams has been a total of maybe three?

I don't mind losing, I don't mind dying, but when I've had very few games now where even one person escaped, it starts to feel like, at least at higher ranks, the game is heavily weighted towards the killer.

Someone told me once on these same forums that SWF>killer>solo survivor. If this is the case, this feels like the game is quite imbalanced. I understand a lot of killers have complained that some of the killers are too weak, but some of those selfsame weak killers have at times been the ones slaughtering our teams.

I've heard that SWF is a different story, but again, it's difficult for me to do that, at least with the friends I have, due to background noise etc etc. At least on the PS4; havent done much on the PC SWF yet.

I'm not saying I'm a great player by any stretch. In fact, I consider myself pretty average so far. If I was the weak link here, I dont think I personally caused the downfall of every group I'm in. But just watching the vast majority of the matches end in 4 kills has really started to discourage me, and I'm starting to wonder if I want to even continue playing this game anymore.

Really, I'm trying to find that light at the end of the tunnel here; Id like to keep playing the game, but if these matches are indicative of typical match results as you get to higher rank when not playing SWF, I'm wondering if this is for me.

Thanks in advance, sorry for the salt.

    "Lol +1"

People talk about how he's like down there with Nightmare and Legion. He's biggest known weakness is that he has zero ability to map pressure or slow down the game but his ability to actually catch the survivors is still too weak. Leading him to get looped just as hard as any other killer.

Everyone knows, that SWF is not fair. Thanks to their coordination and voice chats, they gain the benefits of several aura reading perks, they can coordinate which perks they bring, they can set their roles (gen-rusher, looper), etc.

Dear devs, you know, and I know it. But what can you do? Deleting it would irritate survivors, which would end up in the drop of the playerbase and your earnings, which are important. Without them you cannot develop this game.
So, deleting it would irritate them, nerfing it probably too. So what now?

    This is my idea:

Split the game into two gamemodes.

    1) 1 versus 4, 5 generators - The same as it is now, BUT without SWF. What does it mean? It means that ONLY solo survivors can join to the lobby of the killer. They cannot be in SWF

    2) 2 versus 6, 9 generators - Yes, 2vs6. "Fight fire with fire", as they say. Let the killer play with his friend in KWF mode (Kill With Friend). In this mode, 2 killers join to the first lobby (the same lobby as SWF has), then they click "Ready" and create the proper lobby, where survivors can join. It would be the only lobby where survivors could play in SWF, and it would be OPTIONAL for solo survivors to join this lobby as well (just and option, in Settings, or in the main menu, which enables the solo survivor to play in 2vs6 lobby). Then, you could limit the teammates in SWF to 3, so there would be maximum of 2 teams of SWF in one lobby (but this is optional).

    What are your thoughts?

As awesome as this is, it still wouldn't be fair. As someone said before, 2 killers can easily sandwich a survivor for an insta down. You would need some kind of borrowed time effect or increased invincibility frames to prevent this. Other than that it would be fun for some type of 2 killer game mode but SWF containing 2 killers permanently would still drop the player base, mostly the more casual SWF.

it seems like they figured out it wasn't a good thing

the devs say they're gonna do a lot of things, but never do them

free kindred would also probably be something you wouldn't want either, because it would come with significant killer buffs and would most likely end up being a net loss for survivors in terms of power.

Could you explain? Also most of the things the devs haven't done are because of the normie stuff like they're too busy or whatever. Kindred is already IN the game, they would just have to make it a base component on survivors.

And? Hiding the killers perks and add-ons would be a pretty quick fix but they haven't done it for years.
Not to mention giving survivors base kindred would need A LOT of extra balancing.

You have a good point with that one, but I dont see the need for extra balancing. It's like if every survivor ran Kindred in a match already. It gives an advantage to random survivors so SWF aren't 'op'.
