How do I play without a monitor/tv? :P
VR Goggles!

Hilarious how so many of you are hating on Surge.
Is there some clueless streamer out there who is downplaying Surge and Demogorgon or something?
All this talk of "Why run Surge when Pop is better?" makes me laugh because you can just run both and profit.

As someone who doesnt own spirit and has played survivor once...? What are you all talking about? I cant even tell if this is supposed to be about playing her or playing agaisnt her.
Sincerely a noob who would like to learn. Thanks
we're referring to Spirit, a killer who has an ability where she phasewalks and becomes invisible, but at the same time she can't see survivors either while phased.
Therefore, her primary tools for tracking survivors down is a.) Their Scratchmarks and b.) the noise they make.
That's why Spirit needs "headphones" because for today's gamer generation headphones are apparently the be-all end-all for sound.
(a Good 5.1 or 7.1 system is far superior, just saying)
-
I've said it many time before. Spirit is a high-skill-ceiling killer. Bad spirits are easy to juke.
The people who claim all you need is headphones are snorting some strong stuff.
-
Stop playing Spirit then.
-
Ahhhh so the profile pic colors have meaning!! I didn't know that hahaha.

What is a red pfp?

Nope, BBQ does not need a nerf. It's already not great in anything other than BPs.
Sure, sure keep telling yourself that.
If you all think it's useless for anything but BPs, then it's fine to nerf the aura reading, right?

@Raven014 said:
This isn't a bug. The speed boost was always when in the healthy state and walking only. Any other application would be broken.
It only works while walking. That's enough of a limit. Uninjured is an unnecessary limitation.
-
@Peanits said:
There's nothing to fix: It's by design meant to only work while you are uninjured.
Would like to request to have it changed to work while uninjured.
I don't get the rationale why it doesnt' work while injured.
Please give us NoMither Fixated.

I agree with buffing Mindbreak and Cruel but Surge is a dangerous perk to buff.

DS is OP. One time, I downed a survivor, teabagged him as Pig for a while, then hooked him and facecamped him until he was almost dead, then he got yolo saved, ran into a locker, and DSed me! Like, why do I get punished for playing well? He's clearly bad at the game if I was able to down him twice, and his friend made a really stupid save on him, but he had a get out of jail free card. I don't want to learn how to counter it, so can the devs just nerf it for me? I want to camp and tunnel.
"I teabagged him" "I played well."
I love it. :)
-
So, you either have the choice of eating a 10 second stun, or letting them go, both of which lead to them getting away.
How about you stop camping and tunneling and find someone else to kill.
-
Nah I got disbarred from the Fraternity of Platypus Neuro Surgeons a while back, so I can't give you a mind transplant.
-
There are just a lot of spineless snowflakes out there who get offended at everything.
Teabagging is something we've been doing since the 90's. Anyone getting offended by it has an extreme level of immaturity that doesn't belong online. Or in any kind of social environment for that matter.
Good that you're mature enough to realize that all this toxicity talk is just that... talk.
People play in silly and unsportsmanlike ways all the time. Online is all about it, because of the anonymity, this is normal in online gaming. But let's not pretend it doesn't happen offline either. You see all sorts of "toxic" displays in every sport.
Anderson Silva doing the Muhammad Ali dance in the middle of a fight is the same kind of thing, as are all the kinds of jeers you hear in the locker rooms of college football.
This is a very human thing to do and isnt' something unique to online gaming. Mature people learn to shrug it off... the less mature do it themselves to get a rise out of even more immature people.

Not enough people of color at red ranks?
Yeah I hope we get more Tapp, Claudette and Francis in red ranks.

All those paths to enter the building makes it so the Killer can come from anywhere, but it also make it so the Survivor can leave anywhere. As long as you don't ignore the terror radius you should never be caught out on the gen as you always have an escape route. Letting you have a choice of to loop the building itself, or run to another loop right outside in any direction.
It's comparable to Rotten Fields to how open and how many paths that building has. Once someone starts running, it's impossible to predict where they will go outside of blind luck.
It's definitely easy to juke on Ormond. The gyms are special and easier to juke with and the central building affords many of juke opportunties as well.
-
I play both sides and I'm toxic as #########.
-
I don't lke Nancy's look in the game. Looks old.
-
I would do this if I had the perks to do it.
-
See, you're the reason why NoEd is a thing. Because you think breaking totems "isn't useful."

This right here. When you're rank 5 or whatever and you see a rank 17 and rank 20 in your lobby, it usually means matchmaking got drunk and the killer is fairly new as well.
This is actually a good point, and really true.
Ran into a killer like this 3 games ago. I literally ran circles and played with him the entire time. I felt bad for the guy and let him hit me a lot before I crawled out of the exit gate.
I was literally in no danger the entire time, it was Suffocation Pit and I could juke him at will and he couldn't figure out the loops. So this is how it feels like to be a god survivor, lol.
Matchups like this shouldn't happen. And it's correct to dodge a lobby like this if you realize what's up.
-
@JawsIsTheNextKiller said:
After all the complaining by survivors that killers lobby dodge, have you noticed that survivors with pings of under 50 are lobby dodging now that they can see the ranks of their team mates?
Double-standards.
Hadn't noticed, but if so screw them.
It's not a double standard because IT ONLY HAPPENED THIS WEEK.
Get over your hatred, it leads to the dark side.
-
Would like Fixated better if it worked if you were injured, and/or if you got to see everyone else's scratchmarks, too.
But like I said, this is an amazing perk. It will never be Meta or popular because it's a Stealth Perk, but it's the best Stealth Perk we've gotten in forever.
-
Nancy's perks are stealth-oriented so it can't be helped.

I mean, MoM really was game-breaking, IS and SW aren't. They waste time cleansing a random totem and they need another 2 perks to make IS useful.
MoM wasn't gamebreaking in a vacuum.
There are several things that led to it being gamebreaking. That includes the existence of complimentary perks that support it like DS and Adrenaline, and at the time BHVR was nerfing healing and MoM gave survivors a strong build to get around that nerf.
-

1 question, do you find any of those 6 perks as game-breaking as MoM once was?
None of the perks are gamebreaking. In fact, I'd say some of them could use some buffs.
But overall they are good perks.
Killer side not as good but one solid perk came out of it. it's a good expansion.

But you missed they part where they CHANGED IT which makes it by definition a NERF
smh some people I swear
Change =/= Nerf
I mean look at DS....
-
Pig is a simply a casualty of the foolish EGC Change, something which no survivor wanted. I blame the idiots whining about hatch standoffs for this one.
The "ambush bug" is real, or even if it isn't under no circumstance should pig's ambush instadown. If it was instadowning people then it's only correct that it got nerfed/fixed.
The Terror Radius nerf is a nerf, but it's hardly anything to whine about. First off, smaller terror radius isn't necessarily better and second of all you can CROUCH so it's no big deal.
You're whining a little too much, I get that Pig is not in a good spot right now but you're reading a little too much into it. This is just the sad fact of the EGC. Nobody is out to get Pig.
-
Yes. Nancy has some good perks. Best Survivor I've seen in a long time. Steve is not bad though and is also worth getting.
-
It really is. one of my fave maps to play as survivor. Also the central building is easy to BL.
-
I'm a Rank purple and I've been getting a bunch of Stranger Newbs in my games for the past like 5 games. I feel bad for them because I'm not good enough to carry the game against a green or purple killer.
-
Must be a bug then. As long as it's not happening every game no big deal.
-
With the influx of new players from Stranger Things you'd think we'd have enough players to keep the new players together and old players together.
That said, I played all night last night and didn't get matched up against a single new killer, so I'm reporting fair weather on my end.
-
I always rank up really fast but usually stay around purple ranks, I'm not good enough to easily and effortlessly get into Red. I have to put some effort to get into red.
But if I play for a day as survivor I always end up in purple, no effort needed. It just happens, and I honestly don't like being in purple I rather stay in lower ranks.
I don't play enough killer to rank up to the high ranks though.
-
There is no buff, what happened is likely as Yamaoka said.
-
I've never seen a game with a bad player lobby.
What I have seen are games with RANKS and the ones in the lower ranks are the "bad players." And games that ban griefers.

The point is: DbD should not be demanding. Titles like Overwatch or Slashers like Devil May Cry run totally fine on console, with way better graphics at the same time, while in theory they should be a lot more demanding than DbD.
That's just a case of DbD not being coded well. The devs need to put time into optimization.
It's a shame but the game is really badly-coded and poorly-optimized.
The game's performance has been improved though so the PS4 shouldn't be getting "outdated" at all. But for a game with just 5 characters and a tiny map, it runs like a buttered pig trying to swim through tar.
-
I love Dead by Daylight for the incessant bi-partisan politics that it breeds on the Steam Discussions and official forums! Message board shitposting is a huge hobby of mine and nothing quite scratches the spot like Dead by Daylight.
Imagine, even while you're on the hook and dying you can just Alt-Tab and do a quick shitpost here to entertain yourself while you wait!
What other game can entertain you like that?
-
It's not a big buff but it's still a buff if it weren't a bug.

Sloppy, Thanatophobia and Dying Light? How to fix that when injured? Don't heal lol.
Hex: Ruin slows the game down and requires you to play better, just live with it.
That fixes nothing.
With Dying Light and Thanatophobia a gen will take like 100 seconds to finish.
-
Well Myers just destroyed us on it so I don't like it.
-
This game has a good skill component, but a lot of it is also luck.
Sometimes you just run into the killer/survivors, sometimes you don't.
-

I guessing this a PC issue, PS4 not looking like that
PS4 has no graphic settings, this only occurs on Low graphics.
-
More like why run Self Care when you have Inner Strength.
Self Care has been a crap perk for a while now, even if it's still meta and used by 99% of survivors.
At least with Self Care you're more productive while trying to heal by helping your team avoid Noed.
Also if you can't find totems without Small Game (or Detective's hunch) and can't be bothered to bank breaking a totem at the start of the game.... you need to git gud.
And if you're bringing a medkit... why are you bothering with SelfCare? If you want to boost heal speed of the med kit Botany Knowledge is much better.
-
Maybe he was showing you mercy becuase you were first down and he thought you needed a break.
-
I like the new chase music.
-
I also just noticed the offerings screen looks like crap now.
-
I noticed... and I'm a Fengmin Main.
They definitely buffed Dwight's hair though.
Quentin looks like he got pimples on his forehead.
