Regarding Distortion, I haven't actually tried it out so I don't know how well it works or if it's too situational.

As SuicideFox said, Distortion is _never _situational. It is always useful because it will always tell you what perks the killer is running for detection.

  • Urban Evasion is a must. Period.
I like to go with Calm Spirit and Iron Will after that. Calm Spirit is very situational right now but is a 100% game changer against Doctor. When 2.5 hits it will also stump Spies from the Shadows. I use Lightweight over Calm Spirit.

Last slot go for a knowledge/detection perk, good options are Empathy, Bond, Spinechill, or Alert.
You can also take Distortion if you find you can't play around BBQ or Nurse's Calling. Also DIstortion gives you the most important thing in the game: knowledge of the killer's perks. That way you know what you need to do to play around the killer's detection abilities.

I always play stealth but I admit it's very challenging, I have much to learn, but this is what works for me.

I don't think it matters, most will just play Claudette anyways.

I find the odd Nea, Meg or Feng, Kate or Laurie but 9/10 survs if it's a female surv it's a Claudette.

The "Hidden 5th perk" is stronk.

This is completely not my experience. There are a lot of Claudette players but there are also a ton of Meg players, and a considerable amount of Kate and Nea as well.

I admit I play Claudette when I feel I've been getting caught a lot and want a small edge in stealth. I normally play Kate, Feng, Dwight or David.

  • I want to see a 10 year old girl survivor next, paired with Doll killer.

Bring Whispers and you'll know what area they're in if you're having issues like that. I don't believe that's actually holding the game hostage as you can in theory find them and end the game by killing them.

You cant counter every broken game mechanic by using a perk. We dont have enough slots for that

You aren't entitled to your 4k stop whining about it, you want that 4k EARN IT!

You want an earned 4k? Ok how about getting 3k at 2 gens done, and losing the 4k purely because the survivor went afk essentially, and I didn't want to have to spend 3 hours on a hatch standoff? I knew the location of the hatch, the survivor didn't, but I couldn't find them, I was using a lvl 1 nurse, what could I have done to "earn" that 4k? Waste more time?

This is a mistake you made. If it's a concern and you want to get 4Ks, slug the 3rd survivor then hunt for the last one.

It's like Survivors who ignore three closely-clumped gens, then when they're at 1Gen they can't get anything done because the Killer 3Gens them.

These are gameplay mistakes, you learn from them and adapt if you want to get 4Ks.

i think there needs to be a time limit setting.

Yeah, if killer can't find Survivors with all the aura reading and detection perks available, Killer should suicide after time limit after realizing how worthless his life is.

  • We're trying to survive. If you saw the survivor run past the hatch three times why didn't you catch him and hook him? If you can't hook survivors well maybe you should up your game, you're holding the game hostage.

Killer complains because he can't find survivors, seriously dude, you are just telling us how bad you are at the game.

  • @Master said:
You say your skillcheck rewards are balanced, but arent they straight survivor buffs?

So they are, I wouldn't mind seeing Survivors Buffs THEN the devs also add some adjustments to buff killers.

sorry, but im not interested in a round with 2 or more toolboxes (i dont run ruin), 2 or more medkits (ive gotten instahealed so many times now, i actually dodge these. its annoying. you down someone and he's instantly back at full health .-.) or 2 or more flashlights (maybe ill play the round, maybe not).

also, i might just not be in the mood to play against certain people. i know some names by now and sometimes (especially if its my first round of the day) i do not want to play against these, as they would completely demolish me.

or sthg irl happened and i had to close the lobby.

and here are a ton of reasons, besides the common "SWF group" reason. i usually dont dodge these btw.

Stop playing the game then. This is not the game for you if you can't deal with its mechanics.

  • I would have an entire team equipped with it, then killer using Ebony Mori rage quits.

  • I have a better idea. Perk: Jason Goes to Hell. The moment a generator is worked on the Killer is put into a catatonic state under Crystal Lake after being electrocuted. Survivors win instantly and gain 1,000,000,000 bloodpoints. This trumps the normal 1,000,000 bloodpoint cap.

  • Tapp and Quintin.. I almost never see them.

  • As a survivor main, I definitely agree that survivors aren't OP. But it seems Killers won't be satisfied until Looping is nerfed further. Oh and they also want to nerf Gen Rushing even more, I think they want NoEd part of the base Killer load out now forever on all games.

Crawling would be hard to find but I propose time animations getting down and up (as well as possible skill checks so you goof and make a noise as you slip), also note that when on the ground crawling is really slow so it's hard to go around doing objectives. Don't killers want to slow the game down? That will slow it down and give stealth a boost, something they've been asking for.

Perhaps the crawl shouldn't be as low as the dying state we currently have so it's not near impossible to find. Surely something can be done to find a middle ground that works.

The lighting on basement and certain indoor areas is already being addressed with the incoming patch. I still don't like it and would prefer the old lighting back. The game is quickly losing everything I liked about it when I started.

Again, you're ignoring the fact that multiple other bugs on a similar level exist simply because this is the one that affects YOU on occasion. Thats doesn't make the issue any more pressing than one that causes other people to CTD very frequently, major gameplay elements simply not working correctly, the one where killer queues would fail to properly load the matchmaking algorithm and sit in limbo for 30+ minutes, etc.

You saying you Survivor Main and play Survivor 80% of the time, but arguing that he should shut up about the bug fix and disabling because it affects HIM sounds hypocritical when you're sporting a Wraith Avatar. You probably love playing Wraith and want Sloppy Butcher on all the time when you do killer, which is incentive for you to argue against the disabling.

Sorry, to me it just looks like you have an ulterior motive to want to see a game-crashing bug stay without a temporary bandaid disable so that people don't run into this really bad bug. I'd say look at the bigger picture, more people will benefit from SLoppy Butcher (or its add-on if that's the problem) being disabled temporarily than those inconvenienced by it being taken off. Just by pure logic one wraith player feels miffed to lose one perk or add-on, but four survivors are affected for every wraith player affected.

From a utilitarian point of view it makes more sense to disable it for now, until the devs get off their butts to fix it (which boggles me why its taking forever to do when they have already isolated). And yes before you say anything I am also familiar with software development and do it freelance every now and then for extra money.

Its clear that it's a low priority for them, which is annoying because we saw them quickly react to Ormond (even if they messed up on fixing it).

  • Every single Wraith on PC was doing this the entire December, and first week of January. Today not quite as much anymore because the add-on is not as easy to come across. But it's still very common and it's very annoying, and yes it does help the killer find you. Some killers can definitely see it.

And need I remind you that the devs disabled Ormond specifically because they were trying to avoid game crashing bugs until they could fix it. I don't see why Sloppy Butcher bug shouldn't be temporarily disabled as well until they fix it.

  • Not to mention Killer gets a ton of perks to improve their Blood Point collection as well.

As for game favoring Survivior, haha no.

  • I'm a low-tier survivor. I rank 10-15 depending on win or lose streaks. I have only gone below Rank 10 once.

Hex absolutely destroys my game. It stops progress on gens and absolutely wrecks the Survivor team. If you are playing Rank 1 maybe it sucks. Only you can judge if it's good for you or not. But for me I hate playing against it.

I was putting an idea out there for discussion, not salt.

I'm a survivor main anyway, although my killer game is pretty decent >.>

Sorry but I'm not convinced. You're 100% a player who plays more killer then survivor. Otherwise you would not have made this post. You might play survivor a lot but you definitely play killer more.

I like the idea though, just stop saying you're a survivor main when you're asking to make the most overpowered killer perk baseline. And no I didn't say the most overpowered perk because that certainly is DS

Also if you want this built in, then how about we make NOEDs counterpart, Adrenaline baseline.

I'm sorry you're not convinced. I still am, prob average 5 survivor games for every killer game.

Again, the point is that it shouldn't ever come into play, it's just a punishment for players not completing a new objective. Making adrenaline baseline without a way for killer to counter wouldn't be good for balance at all. At least with DS you could make it another objective, that way survivors have new objectives that both reward and punish them for doing or not doing them.

How about we punish Killers for not hooking every player before they kill a player by making their head go up their ass and they can only play blind for the rest of the game.

It is a punishment for killers not completing a new objective.

This would take care of the tunneling problem. This would reward killers by having a new objective other than just killing and hooking survivors, that rewards and punishes them for doing nor not doing them.

  • Your solution to Survivors complaining about NoEd being in every game, is to make NoEd permanent and free for all killers in every game.

That's like making Decisive Strike permanent and accessible to all Survivors for free to appease all the killers complaining about Decisive Strike.

  • I find Doctor much harder to fight than Nurse. But that's probably because I play Stealth first and foremost.

  • Christmas event is over, these Huntresses will run out of pink items soon enough.

The real problem is that Killer pink items tend to be really over the top powerful and really change the game in huge ways. Survivor legendary items are almost laughable in comparison.

  • Thrill of the Hunt is where it's at. Combo your Devour Hope, NoEd and Ruin with Thrill of the Hunt. It's a nightmare.

  • @JammyJewels said:

I’ve never seen a problem with Self Care. The 50% reduction in speed certainly already slows you down. And it is something to slow the game down and yet it is still seen as overpowered... Of course, but isn’t any perk that lets you perform an item-specific action without that item?

Yes, because Saboteur is a super overpowered perk.

  • Also affects Bitter Murmur, Survivors can benefit from hiding in the locker when someone else finishes a gen. How does this change affect survivors negatively again? It's a nerf to killers and a buff to survivors, it gives me an extra option to avoid BBQ and Chili when I'm far from the killer. I welcome the change.
