Well, console users have always complained about how they don't have access to the PTB, and this leak only happened on consoles (maybe just PS4?) and hasn't been patched yet as far as I am aware, so they can go into KYF and play with the new perks.

    Its on xbox as well.

  • Although the end is funny to me, it doesn't make the issue any less frustrating.

    https://youtu.be/fH4Yrn_8iCU
It doesn't really help your case you're on the game map. If you have thumbs as nurse you should be able to win on the map.
  • Design philosophy:
Introduce new perks/killer that are moderately effective at addressing rank 1 killer complaints while being incredibly oppressive to non-rank-1-swf players.

Let's start with the teachable perks:
    .
    .
    .
    Perk 1:
    Power hungry (anti-gen-rush)
Whenever a cumulative total time of 25/20/15 seconds is spent on fixing generator by all survivors combined, this perk gains a token. Once this perk reaches 5 tokens, the entity strikes out violently at all generators currently being worked on, causing them to lose 5%/7%/10% progress. Survivors within 4/8/12 meters of these generators have their auras revealed for 5 seconds. Lose all 5 tokens when this triggers. This perk also loses 1 token every 30 seconds.

    How this fits the philosophy:
Slows down gen-rush by Rank 1 swf players. They can coordinate among each other to limit the effectiveness of this perk but other players will be wrecked by this.
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    Perk 2:
    Veil of darkness (anti-flashlight-save)
Whenever you are about to be blinded, this perk triggers to prevent it and then protects you from that source or survivor for 5/10/15 seconds. This perk then goes on cooldown for 20/15/10 seconds. (Yes the cooldown is shorter than the duration, so it has a 5 second window near the end that provides blind-protection from 2 survivors)

    How this fits the philosophy:
Protects against flashlight saves from rank 1 swf players. They can overcome this by coordinating between two flashlight holders to follow-up on flashlights. This will wreck other players though.
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    Perk 3:
    Creeping vines (anti-pallets)
The most recent unused pallet that you walk through will be entangled in vines for 10/20/30 second, preventing survivors from using them. ( Small vines will appear around the base of the pallets. Survivors can still run past them, but the action button to pull it down will not appear )

    How this fits the philosophy:
Forces survivors to use the pallets they run through before you do, thus breaking pallet looping. Rank 1 swf players will adapt to this. You can watch the confusion of other players though.
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    Killer details:
This killer is a combination of anti-chase and anti-tracking.
Movement speed: 105% (yes, very slow. This killer is anti-chase anyway)
    Terror radius: 32 meters (normal)
    .
    .
    Power:
    Mounting terror
Hold down the power button to stand still and charge up your power. Every 0.25 seconds you spend charging, your terror radius will grow by 1 meter, to a maximum to 64 meters. You also reveal the auras of all survivors within your terror radius every 0.25 seconds (eats up perks like Distortion quickly). When you release the power button, the survivor whose aura is in your field of view and closest to the center of the screen will be selected as the target. You immediately teleport next to the target while facing them. If there is another survivor within 4 meters of your target, you will be stunned for 2 seconds, otherwise you may immediately attack. This power goes on a 15 second cooldown whenever you end the power, regardless of whether you teleport or not.

This power works on auras revealed by any source (e.g BBQ and chili). If you see them, you can tap and release to insta-teleport. The auras do not need to be in your terror radius.
    .
    .
    How this fits the philosophy:
Survivors have to coordinate and stick together in exactly 2 teams of 2 survivors, or 1 team of all remaining survivors. Otherwise there will be at least 1 survivor who will be bullied by this. If the survivors separate more than 4 meters from each other in a chase, you can immediately tap this power to do a quick teleport-and-attack combo. Rank-1 swf can coordinate to limit this power. Good luck to everyone else though.

While no I don't believe killers/perks need to be thrown to fix problems in the game, this is an actually interesting concept (mainly the power) the perks aren't that good though(in terms of the health of the game). but an interesting concept .

I wouldn’t blame you. I love the new surveillance!

I totally didnt notice Surveillance was buffed. I should have read more o.o holy crap survell isnt useless anymore!

Nope, it is now an actually good perk.

She already have one of the most OP addons of the game (Iridiscent head), she don't need another ultra rare.

I understand the power of the iridescent head, but as I've said earlier it was just something interesting I thought of, and I knew it would be atleast mildly op, hence the ultra rare rarity. And if I'm being honest it was meant as a kinda "hey what do you think this would do if it was added" deal.

  • @EntityDispleased said:
Add ons need to directly affect the killer's power and gameplay. An add on to her hatchets that would remove her humming doesn't make much sense.

again it wasn't super serious, just something I thought of at the time, and thought would be an interesting concept, not really meant to be super serious.

So I just thought of a huntress add-on, there are probably other people who thought of this as well, that is ultra/very rare(idk which), that just removes her hum radius, maybe increase terror to like 28 meters idk though. What do y 'all think? just kind of thought it would be interesting.

I think her secondary terror radius is separate from her power. Nevertheless, if her secondary terror radius needs a buff (decrease) then it shouldn't be an add-on but instead be baked into her stats.

I don't really think it needs a change, just thought it was an interesting concept that I wanted to post about before I forgot, ya know.*

    True, it IS interesting! :)

    thank you.

  • The biggest problem I see (outside of the appear younger as chase goes on) is the power. The physical movement would be difficult to do, maybe just make the cooldown, repair progress, healing in a range be regressed. idk though.

    @Tsulan Ehm... what?

A NASCAR racetrack. You know... a big circle. Since running in circles is the most favorite thing for high rank survivors, i would dedicate a map to them.
I also imagine a Billy endlessly rushing through the racetrack. No obstackles, just pure speed.

now I want this nascar map purely to see billy boi running around the track(like nascar,, nascar).

you forgot the one in the long hallway on lery's. I'd have shack over that one in terms of safeness any day.

You're referring to the one that's really narrow and you've got to break the pallet if not Nurse/Legion in Frenzy to get past right?

    correct.

Yeah that one I'd like to see get tweaked some so there's a shortcut but not too short of a cut that allows killers access but they've still got to work for it. Since even the shack still has a window there and the others do have other ways of getting around them.

maybe just like another room that makes it so that you can mind game it as killer, like its still a safe pallet, but if the survivor misplays then they get hit.

I don't see how this is supposed to stop survivors bming at the exit gates. The second gate almost always gets open very quickly. As far as I can see, the main effect this will have is undercutting the suspense when the killer is running towards the exit gate and you're about to finish opening it in a close game where the other gate hasn't been opened yet.

Yeah i feel that too now that you said it... maybe it only happened after 20 or 30 seconds after the 1st gate opened

  • I like it, a kinda guy(or gal) you love to hate. neat.

  • You can gain points for a safe hook rescue (500 I believe) and you don't for unsafe, but the loss of points would be interesting, it would stop some people from farming their team.

  • This is an interesting concept for a killers power, but I don't think it would be very good for any killer. cool for a new killer(assuming it had more to it) but what would it do in terms of chase/finding a survivor? especially at higher ranks.

Title says it all. Offerings are not unique in and of themselves. The only distinguishable difference is if we are talking killers or survivors. I feel instead of offerings being tied to each character they should be split into two collective pools. All offering that you buy on any bloodweb for that particular side can be used across all characters of that side. For example I have something like 10 survivor puddings on my wraith however i hate playing wraith. It would be nice to use those offerings but as a different killer. Same goes for my survivors.

I'm sorry but this would be kinda hard to balance since you can get a bunch of ebony moris(the red ones) and put them on a level 10 killer that obviously shouldn't have them

Maybe make it(if they can) so that all bp/map offerings are shared, and that's all on both sides. might be hard to code though so idk.

  • YOU. ARE. A. GENIUS! along with everyone else who has thought of this. but in all seriousness the devs do need to make reaching a higher rank reward more that longer queue times, and bragging rights.

  • how about after the killer starts to get afk crows (whether near basement or no) they lose their collision box(hitbox? whatever you wanna call it) this would also stop people who body block 1 survivor in a corner, and go afk. just a thought. I mean if the person is waiting out borrowed time they wouldn't get crows, but if its a troll then they have the ability to get crows.

  • Maybe make it event specific first, and if its enjoyed enough then put it into the main game as a kind of unranked mode. like a month or so long event though.

The only not mindgame-able loops (which I assume you think about the "line of sight loops") are found on Autohaven and they can be mindgamed by ussing the killer's power.

Yh some pallets can spawn pretty near to each other and I think they should get the same treatment as hooks on the 2.5.0 update but other than that I wouldnt reduce the number.

    Edit:
About that "braindead-easy and requires no skill" comment... Try hidding your light by moonwalking, stand still facing the pallet when line of sight is broken or be decisive when ussing your killer power.
Seriously, It aint that hard to end chases sooner if you're facing a looper.

not mindgamable pallets, also called "god pallets" are a thing. these are pallets where the killer can not catch up to the survivor, unless he breaks the pallet.
    here some examples:
    the shack pallet
    the cowtree pallet
the pallets in the elementary schools basement
the pallets next to the bathroom at the meatplant
the pallets behind the staircases at the meatplant
the pallets in the basements in haddonfield and springwood

these are the ones i could think of asap. im sure there are more though.

you forgot the one in the long hallway on lery's. I'd have shack over that one in terms of safeness any day.

  • I think its just due to ping. If you have a lower ping it will happen less, and visa versa with a higher ping, so to answer your actual question, its because of lack of dedicated servers.

Bring Whispers and you'll know what area they're in if you're having issues like that. I don't believe that's actually holding the game hostage as you can in theory find them and end the game by killing them.

You cant counter every broken game mechanic by using a perk. We dont have enough slots for that

You aren't entitled to your 4k stop whining about it, you want that 4k EARN IT!

You want an earned 4k? Ok how about getting 3k at 2 gens done, and losing the 4k purely because the survivor went afk essentially, and I didn't want to have to spend 3 hours on a hatch standoff? I knew the location of the hatch, the survivor didn't, but I couldn't find them, I was using a lvl 1 nurse, what could I have done to "earn" that 4k? Waste more time?

This is a mistake you made. If it's a concern and you want to get 4Ks, slug the 3rd survivor then hunt for the last one.

It's like Survivors who ignore three closely-clumped gens, then when they're at 1Gen they can't get anything done because the Killer 3Gens them.

These are gameplay mistakes, you learn from them and adapt if you want to get 4Ks.

I would've but the final survivor was a mega immersed claudette, my only chance at finding them was hatch, and even then I didn't get the 4k. It's still a win, but annoying that I lost because the final kill had more patience than me.

I've had something similar happen on nurse. They stayed after the gates were opened to look for hatch and took forever. As I said elsewhere, Whisper helps locate survivors. If you find that happening often, maybe consider taking along the perk. Otherwise, I'm sure there's ways to find and locate survivors and I'm sure there's common places survivors may stick to. Some may go into lockers and others will just crouch around everywhere.

again though, level 1 nurse. literally only had nurse's. I'm salty every time it happens. Like I did good enough to kill everyone, find hatch, but because I don't want to waste time, I don't get the 4k after an amazing game. ya know
