WGLF works just fine.
Just count the math. If you only got 30k BP that means you only did about 7k worth of work during the match.

If BE doesn't fix matchmaking based on level and perks with tiers then DCing and raging will continue forever and do you blame them?
Not sure why it's like this after three years. Well, it just shows they don't know how to do it. Things are a lot simpler than people think. Now its just put anyone in a match as fast as possible roughly based on rank. BE doesn't want to do an aggregate of rank and perks with tiers.
They truly don't know how much damage they are doing to the game and community. I agree if they did a simple study of why people rage and DC would tell them they are losing massive amounts of money.
Dont talk to the devs but the business suits and getting them to know devs leaving it like this are causing a massive net cash loss as people are leaving. Currently its covered and bandaged by DLCs. Then and only then would you get a real change that is good for everyone. Maybe a few different devs but better for the game and community.
Matchmaking based on perk tiers is ridiculous. Perks aren't that important in this game, and the difference between different perk tiers isn't that significant for most perks.
Player experience and mastery of basics gameplay concepts is much more important.

It's nowhere near as bad as it was at the start of the year around Jan-Feb-Mar.
-
Dead Hard is a good perk.
But it's certainly not stronger than Balanced Landing. Balanced Landing is good on most maps, it's only absolutely useless in like one map, and it's ridiculous and downright broken on a good number of maps.
-
I misread that and thought I was going to get a big puff.
Sounds like a reasonable buff.
-
Oh different title. No, the game isn't "slowly dying" the player base has been consistently at around 20k-ish for the past couple of years.
The game isn't dying by any stretch.
-
Sounds good to me. Instant Inner Strength and tasty 1.5k!
And if it's Haunted Grounds it adds a little spice to life!

They really should take time in a patch to get rid of the "god" loops that just allows 3 loops till the entity blocker and over abundance of safe pallets in most of the maps, they should have done that a long time ago instead of band aid fixes like spirit fury, bamboozle, bloodlust, entity block ect.
It really could have all been avoided if they were more proactive with map changes in the beginning.
I really don't like how perks are now just the answer to core issues in the game personally, but yeah survivors if they are good will always be the power role unless you play the top 2 killers and maybe Billy.
Killers are the power role.
But really. The "Power Role" is whoever is better. Survivors are only the "power" role if they are better than the killer.

It's not a strategy and it doesn't take any skill. I'm starting to see why 80% of the killers on the forums cry about gens. Because instead of gen protecting and applying pressure, they're too busy proxy camping (which the game will deduct points unless someone else is nearby.) And too worried about kills. Focus on protecting gens, applying pressure and HOOKS and the kills will come. Too many put the cart before the horse - I'm really tempted to make an advanced killer guide. And camping is mainly why playing in brown and green ranks is so horrible and is an elo hell. It's unhealthy for the game and unfun for survivors.
Camping is not a sign that someone is strategic or thoughtful, the only thing it communicates is that you aren't confident in your ability to track or you simply are bad. Camping is a stable in most games and I highly doubt most good players will call it strategic. Let's sit in one general area and look around, so skilled and strategic.
It is by definition a strategy.
Whether it's a good strategy or not is debatable, but it is most definitely a strategy. You don't have to have a "strategic mind" to use a strategy.

Rage Quitting has been popular for the past two years.
The game is alive and kikcing.

It'll be meta as long as totems have bad spawns.
Such saltiness!

Well alone not so much but I run it with ruin, thrill and devour 😈 or any combination but always more than one!
If gotten 4ks just checking totems! I think it works just fine tbh.
Yeah imo if you're gonna go hex might as well go all-in.
-
What I noticed, you get more demogorgon in higher ranks.
At low ranks there's almost no Demogorgon. if you're playing in yellow ranks this sounds about right.
When I solo queue I'm purple and I get Demogorgon a lot. When I play with my friend who is yellow I end up with yellow killers mostly and haven;'t encountered Demogrogon at atall.
-
I'd like a sniper killer.
But he uses BB Guns instead of actual sniper rifles.
You can setup sniping position with no terror radius or red stain. When you shoot a survivor they can only be injured but can never be downed in this manner. In addition, they get a slow debuff as you cripple their legs.
Would be hilarious to use him on Haddonfield.

Separate ranks on killers is really bad idea. Why? If you will main pig for example and get to rank 1, and then you would want to play wraith (lets say youre rank 15 on him). It will be really unfun for survivors because these killers are really similiar. And you will demolish the team you will be playing against.
Yeah it's a bad idea. Not to mention, basic killer skills are universal. Tracking, prediction, pathing, and basic game sense. These carry over for all killers, doesn't matter if you're using Pig or Nurse, the basics are what make a player strong, not the killer abilities.
An experienced killer no matter who he uses will demolish less experienced survivors any day of the week.
-
Nah, you can pip as killer killing just one survivor or even no survivors *(looking at you Legion).
If you aren't pipping it means you are either camping or just crushing the enemy.
Ultimately it's a design flaw in the game because whoever thought out the ranking system was crazy.
-
- When I sure could use a clutch perk but didn't equip it.
As for playing like a potato at first, remember that this game is very dependent on luck. Sometimes what looks like a potato play is really good if the killer just thought to do this instead of that. Guessing the correct course of action makes a huge difference in this game and a lot of the time you don't have the information to make that choice, so you have to guess.
-
Inner Strength is a great perk.
Hopefully it doesn't become meta because the more people use it, the weaker it becomes.

The measurement of a good killer isn't by kills, but by hooks. Camping isn't a strategy and it's cute you think that it is. Camping in any game just indicates that someone is bad and perhaps afraid. The game rewards more hooks opposed to more kills and the game actually punishes you for camping hooks, fyi. You literally lose piping points or experience. If you wanna occupy survivors time and get them off gens then play a good killer and apply pressure, slug, etc.
It's a strategy.
And in most cases, it's a good strategy that works. As others have mentioned, punishing camping doesn't really work and isn't satisfying for that matter.
Just because it's a sign of a bad killer, doesn't mean it's not a strategy.
-
Second Wind will activate as many times as you can pull the conditions off. That is a max of twice per game if you managed to do the conditions right.
It's not a "safer" self care it's a more dangerous one as it requires you to heal someone and get hooked (which is always a dangerous proposition). Meanwhile you can selfcare after escaping from the killer, which is a lot safer.
What it is, is a perk that saves you time because you don't need to actively heal to get the benefit. You can do gens while healing. That is a big deal, which is why it looks great on paper, but in practice it's hard to activate, especially in solo play. I'd imagine it's easier to do in SWF.

I'm not even going go reply anything beside that playing agressive with Claudette is counter productive.
You seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of the survivor side of the game if you think Claudette isn't allowed to play aggressively.
-
I don't know what to tell you. I showed you photographic evidence of what the game looks like today and how it used to look two years ago. I can even take a screenshot next time I play Haddonfield just so you know I'm not BSing.
The game is too bright with unnatural levels of gamma and saturation that just look plain bad.
The game is significantly brighter today than it used to be and even the devs confirm that. Peanits has mentioned that the game is brighter today and that this was done at the request of players who thought the game was too dark. The game is a lot brighter than it used to be. Unnaturally so. This is a fact.
-
I dunno, this has to be an issue with the TV/monitor and or the specific person's eyesight.
For instance, this is what the Myers map looks like now.
Is that too dark for you? It shouldn't be.
It used to look like this:
-
I know nothing about the PS4, so I will not comment.
But the game is lit as duck on the PC. I doubt they'd make the game bright on one platform and dark on another, though. They haven't darkened the game since the patch last year that changed the engine.
-
Either way it tells the killer to tunnel you.
-
@VESSEL said:
It might be just my monitor, but whenever I play killer without an adjustment software everything is darker than the ######### void, same thing with my survivor
Something has to be wrong with your monitor, this game is lit as heck.
-
What is trolling about it? A lot of people want the old atmospheric game back.
-
I actually would be okay with this.
I don't care if killers want to crank up their gamma, they can "cheat" that way if they want.
Just give us our nice and dark atmospheric game back.
Though honestly in my opinion they should adjust it dark for everyone and the extra stealth ability for survivors will give an extra survival tool, so the devs can buff killers in other ways and nerf survivors in others (like making looping and chases less effective). The game will be better when there are additional options for survival other than just running the killer around in chases. Killers have lots of aura-reading and detection perks anyway so they're not going to have that much trouble finding survivors.

While I agree, my survivors have...generally not been the best at popping gens alone, especially with both Ruin and Pop on every killer we face, and I generally am the first one found. Thus Prove Thyself with a toolbox, and BNP if I have one. If I get lucky, killer chases someone else and I find someone on a nearby gen and we pop it pretty quickly. If not, well, at least we got more gens done than if I had not run that build.
If your team can't do gens with Ruin on separately, they'll be even worse together.
You'll be triggering ruin checks nonstop and the gen will get ZERO work done.
-
It;s the curse of Eleven.
Also there are times when the opposite happens.
After I get sacrificed, my body disappears but my hair stays in the Entity's claws as it rises up into the heavens.
-
Inner Care is a far, far better perk than Self Care.
But Self Care will always remain meta because lots of potato survivors don't know how to find totems, and even those that do prefer to use the crappier perk out of habit. This is good, because if too many people use Inner Strength it becomes a bad perk (there are only so many totems to go around).
-
I feel great when a totem spawns next to me, Hex or not. I always cleanse.
-
I'd like a meter to fill for the heal state.
If you heal Survivor A for half his life and Survivor B for half of his the perk won't trigger. Has to be all in on one survivor. If you use AutoDidact and get heal regression you don't get it once you do the equivalent of one heal state. You really have to heal one survivor from zero to 100.
I find that stupid.
-
There are graphics settings. Not in depth but the Low-Medium-High thing is a graphics slider. You can also lower the rendering resolution -- it's an actual slider and it makes a difference in your framerates.
Problem is the game is really just bad for what it is. Can't expect anything that looks as bad as this game to run as bad as it does. This game has PS2-level graphics at Low Settings and it still runs worse than a gorgeous game like, say, Overwatch.
And there are levels and certain effects that are just murder on the framerates. The entire Ormond map is bad for frames, and Freddy's Dreamworld also murders the framerates.
It's crazy how they manage to break stuff-- especially when Dreamworld used to be buttersmooth.

Toss me in the list of new players discouraged by this bug. I've been playing regularly for about a month and a half, I'm totally okay with losing matches, but when red ranks with epic loadouts started regularly appearing in my matches, I stopped having fun.
I'm already kinda put off by the whole teachable perk system, tbh, but my time actually playing had been fun enough to justify it. Now... not every game is miserable, because sometimes it doesn't happen, but it's a roulette. If I get people around my rank, I have fun. If I get people 10 or more ranks away from me... not fun.
Of course, I'm not a total noob either, I'm a green ranks kind of guy, so when I end up being forced into a match with totally fresh survivors, none of whom are under 17, that's not fun either. I either slaughter them and feel like a prick or I go easy and drag the game out for no reason but to try to compensate for BHVR's mistake.
Either way, I have a new level of uncertainty loading into every game. Will they be way higher than me? Maybe. Lower? Maybe? Just right? Also maybe. My first minutes of every match are now spent watching each survivor like a hawk so I know the appropriate level of force to use.
I don't understand why they release the new chapter before fixing the bug. If it were my game, I'd have pushed it back until it was fixed.
Forget the last chapter. Sadly it's been three years since this issue has been happening.
-
It's crazy how this still hasn't been fixed.
And it's a very simple fix. Just don't match Devotion 0 players with Devotion 1+ players. Easy! They can still SWF if they want but don't match 0's with people who have Devotion 1 or higher.
It's too large a gap in experience.
I been fighting a few beginner killers over the week. The worst one was so lost I could literally juke him at will. I let him tag me a few times and hook me twice before I escaped just so he wouldn't feel so bad. Was lucky my teammates unhooked me actually.

That makes no sense. Like im a solo player and these guys just randomly dc because thing was not going their way and I get depip just because they all dced...... Makes no Sense.
Ignoring that the people who designed the rank system had no idea what they were doing, letting people keep their pips when someone (whether solo or swf) disconnects just incentivizes DCs further.
I get that it's bad how innocent people can be punished, but until we get better DC punishments it's not gonna get any better. There are still obvious design flaws to this game.
-
Eh, totems don't make a sound.
-
It's a team effort. If the survivors leverage their strengths, then that means they managed to outplay the killer.
If the killer managed to target the weak links of the team then that is the killer outplaying the survivor team.
-
Luck is big part of it.
People shouldn't take it personally when they have bad games. Sometimes you have bad luck.
Problem is people tend to take it personally and think the devs themselves are screwing them over when they have a bad game.
-
That I didn't know. Good to know!
-
Gen rushing doesn't happen because killers are weak. Genrushing happens because players are bad.
-
Steve sounds like a girl.
That's not a knock on him, I like playing Steve and his voice lines are hilarious.
-
Frankly I think people are whining too much. Hawkins is one of the harder maps to find totems on.
And why single out Hawkins, every other map has totem spawns right in view of gens.
-
Haven't crashed a single time, but getting a lot of infinite load issues.
-
Because otherwise DCing will become a valid strategy to avoid de-pipping.
-
There are actually two totem spawns on Hawkins like that.
-
What exactly is wrong with Freddy this time? How does the new Oblivious status effect make him unbearable?
As for "it worked for Legion" let's cut the bullshit how about let's talk how Killers whined so much they devs blocked the killer build in the endgame summary, or how killers were dodging SWF lobbies so much BHVR "fixed" the matchmaking which resulted in the shitfaced matchmaking we have today?
-
It's dumb advice. the game is not survivor sided. They just outplayed you. Bring Bamboozle next time if the window is too strong for you.
What you should accept isn't that the game is survivor-sided, you should accept that you got outplayed by a better team of survivors, and move on.
-
@FriendlyGuy said:
I mean that discussion came up countless times before. Against solos, most killers are ok, against decent swf nurse and rin. Period.
There are tons of decent SWF groups that get destroyed by killers other than Nurse or Spirit, and there's tons of proof on YouTube and Twitch of Streamers who utterly demolish SWF group game after game live. I have even seen killers do it perkless. And by the same token there are tons of solo survivors that destroy Nurse and Spirit.
This tired argument needs to end.
The game is not stacked against killers or survivors.
It's all about whether you are more skilled and outplay your opponent.
